The new Growing Together EP Trailer is AMAZING! There are so many interesting things about it. But if I have to pick one, this is the part that got me the most excited! Reason being, I’m a big legacy player and for a couple of years now I’ve been wishing there was more to do with Elders in the game.
While playing Legacy challenges, I get really attached to my heirs and when they turn into elders, there isn’t much else left to do or improve with them - I usually retire them halfway through their elder years, so they spend most time at home. Usually by that point they’ve already finished their aspiration, have maxed a skill or two and there isn’t much to do with them. It’s always a bit sad for me to let them go and focus only on the newer generation.
This “Elders’ jog” from the trailer wasn’t the only Elder activity shown in it, but it was the one that got me the most excited about. I’m already thinking about using this in conjunction with Get Together to form an Elder’s jog club! And the little kid trailing behind them? Meaning other life stages can participate as well, and it’s not just limited to Elders!
This right here had me screaming in joy 😂

Does anyone remember these? I knew the splattershot mini existed, but I didn't know a splatoon water gun that you could only get at U.S. Targets existed
Me doing a (very much incorrect) analysis of how many people likely had the target pre-order bonus is under the read more
So according to Wikipedia 165,000 copies had been sold in the U.S., both digitally and physically, at the end of May 2015, so assuming 55,000 copies were digital copies that leaves 110,000 physical copies sold, and considering that it was only available at U.S. Targets, that means excluding the other major stores that sold splatoon, so Best Buy, Walmart, and Gamestop. Now assuming they all sold around the same amount of copies of splatoon that leaves only 27,500 people who got the splatoon target pre-order bonus

So I had been wanting to finally go back and complete my Project Sekai CD collection.... all I was gonna aim for were the 2 I had left, WxS and MMJ..... and then I saw the new VBS single and Tondemo Wonders so I was all ooohh yes I love these, hell yeah let's go for it... and then I saw the special bonus for doing the 5 pre orders and so uh... long story short, I ended up ordering + pre ordering everything.... whoops? My wallet and I will feel the impact, but so will my soul 🤌💝 ...also better spending on this than the losing game that is the gacha atp, cause I have still not pulled a single Knights card and I'm a hair's breadth away from giving up entirely on this banner.. alr done over 100 pulls but it'll cost so much just to spark a card, and even then idk who to go for... #ihateithere

lots of people in the notes of that post saying they prefer pre-order bonuses to be useless instead of like exclusive content that only people who pre-order can get in the game/gives them a huge advantage in the game. and to be clear they are very right, useless stuff is way better so no one misses out.
but also like. literally the solution here is physical item pre-order bonuses. like it doesn’t affect gameplay AND it’s a cool figure or plush or whatever. and like if you really don’t like the idea of these figures and stuff being rare or only for people who pre-order then like. maybe those could still be seperately available for purchase but the pre-order pack is cheaper than buying both the figures and game individually or something. still gives an incentive for pre-ordering but no one fully misses out or anything.

Fallout: New Vegas: 13th Anniversary
Tumblr media
13 years ago today, on October 19, 2010, Fallout: New Vegas was officially released in North America. Since its release, it has been widely acclaimed by the community.
Happy 13th Anniversary Fallout: New Vegas! And thank you to all of the developers behind its production!
According to Feargus Urqhart via Eurogamer on September 13, 2017, the game's pitch document was “probably three pages” long.
It had the title of “Fallout: Sin City,” which “very quickly got changed to Fallout: Vegas and then became Fallout: New Vegas.”
Tumblr media
Following its release, the game received six add-ons, four of which introduced new areas and stories to explore (Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and Lonesome Road).
Gun Runners' Arsenal introduced new weapons, and Courier's Stash added the game's pre-order bonuses.
Tumblr media
The game has had a lasting impact on the Fallout community and the greater gaming community! Again, thank you to all the developers who worked on the game.
Josh Sawyer, Chris Avellone, Jesse Farrell, Eric Fenstermaker, Akil Hooper, Seth McCaughey, Shon Stewart, and so many more.
