“The two religious leaders - the Pope as Head of the Roman Catholic Church on earth and The Queen as Supreme Governor of the Church of England - found they had much in common, including a mutual interest in ancient sacred documents, and the Pope was delighted to discover that The Queen was not merely being polite but showed an expertise he had not expected.”

Pope St. John Paul II
1920-2005
Feast Day: October 22
Patronage: Archdiocese of Krakow, World Meeting of Families, World Youth Day, Young Catholics, Families, Swidnica, Polish-Ukrainian reconciliation, labor
Saint John Paul II, known as John Paul the Great, was born Karol Wojtyla in Poland and had an active happy youth. Yet before his 21st birthday, his whole family had died. He studied for the priesthood in secret during the Nazis and then Communism control of Poland. He was secretly ordained in 1946. For the next 20 years, he was a pastor, a professor, and a student himself. In 1978 Karol Wojtyla became the first non-Italian Pope of the Catholic Church. He traveled to over 100 countries, was a prolific writer, and was loved by youth worldwide. He survived an assassination attempt in 1981 and even forgave the assassin. Pope John Paul died of Parkinson’s disease and was the second longest reigning Pope.

Forgiveness can seem contrary to human logic, which often yields to the dynamics of conflict and revenge. But forgiveness is inspired by the logic of love, that love which God has for every man and woman.

Ferrari 3.2 Mondial Cabriolet, 1985. The date is June 4, 1988 and Pope John Paul II is visiting Fiorano, Italy and Maranello, home of the prancing horse brand. At this time Enzo Ferrari is still alive but too ill to meet with the Pope though they did speak on the phone. The Mondial Cabriolet was made between 1983 and 1989 in 3.0 and 3.2 litre versions. It remains the only mid-engined supercar to be offered with 4 seats and a fully convertible roof

On 22 October in the Catholic Church there is a memorial of St. Pope John Paul II.
“This is no time to be ashamed of the Gospel. It is the time to preach it from the rooftops. Do not be afraid to break out of comfortable and routine modes of living in order to take up the challenge of making Christ known in the modern metropolis.”
Saint John Paul II

Asteroid Prior 171171
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now here's an interesting one that I can't seem to find any astro related info on but if you see something let me know. Asteroid Prior 171171 I am guessing could mean anything related to prior experiences or even past lives, priories, as in places where monks or nuns pray, or as a name asteroid.
To give it a whirl, above is the chart of Taurus Pope John Paul II and a nice photo like a good (lapsed) Catholic. I'm sure my late mom would be proud. She really loved this guy!
Asteroid Prior shows up in Libra (beauty, justice, relationships, especially those with contracts or other law associations, harmony, equality) twelfth house, which contains themes of spiritual paths and places of worship such as nunneries, convents, ashrams, and...the Vatican.
The twelfth house also governs past lives, karma, ending of cycles since this is the domain of Pisces. Maybe he's had many other holy lives?
This is of course in addition to many other parts & pieces in a person's chart and is only for fun and speculation. I am not a professional astrologer.
