The sketch of this idea was 80% done by November 2023 but I could only fully complete the illustration in the latest days because many things happened and getting ill by the end of the year certainly didn't help. It was about time I had something new to show from the Soul(mate)s of Light AU!

Destiny bonding with a Shiny Latios has been in my ideas list since 3 years ago, but it got reinforced thanks to Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs and the disclosure of Ash Ketchum's animé arc. Long-story short: Destiny rescues a rare Shiny Latios in her original adventures in Hoenn region as a Trainer. Grateful, this rare Pokémon offered flights in the region anytime she would play the Eon Flute. She nicknamed him Delta due to this reason and others! Later as an adult, she's one of the fewest Rangers capable to use Involiths. Whenever her Fearow's flight power isn't enough, she can summon Delta's help with her Capture Styler!

Precious Gift

The most beautiful part of @yamujiburo hanamusa's lore for me is Ash's emotional evolution and acceptance. For a character that surprisingly did not evolve much in its own journey (in a show full of evolutions) and made the same mistakes year after year, this proximity with Jessie is my most expected part of this story

but it's done!!! my character designs for @thewolveswolf's rival gym leader au!!

aziraphale's gym is a library, with steel shutters that automatically slide over all the shelves whenever a battle starts 😂 the library is managed by sinisteas and polteageists that float around to make sure everyone has what they need. his honedge refuses to go in its pokeball and he is CONSTANTLY losing it.

(his pokedex is also handwritten. his is much more meticulous than the official digital database)

crowley's gym is a greenhouse, probably very very dark because of all the huge ferns that envelope the place. his ghosts adore it in there, even in broad daylight.

aziraphale is probably in awe of the fact that crowley grows his own apricorns but do u think for a SECOND that crowley is just gonna hand them over to anybody? get ur own free pokeballs. (but he lets kids come in and pick them on the weekends and take home whatever they can harvest)

it's 5am and im plagued with thoughts of steve having an eevee that doesn't evolve. he's taken it to every pokecenter and pokemon specialist he can think of, tried all the stones, but nobody knows why it won't evolve. at first he thinks it's his fault and that he doesn't make it happy enough, but its happiness is maxed out, so it should, right?

but this eevee has been with steve since he was a kid, a gift from his parents so they didn't have to feel guilty about leaving him alone for long periods of time. it's been with him through every major milestone in his life, every happy moment, every sad moment, moments where he was scared and needed a friend the most.

this eevee doesn't need to evolve bc it's happy being just eevee. it doesn't need to be flashy or strong when it's been protecting its human just fine all these years
