So it turns out if you try to go around collecting the ominous stakes before defeating all the gym leaders a second time, you’ll never be able to open the ruin shrines. Instead the game will just perceive the final lock on the door as unopened, and will respawn one of the stakes at random to keep it that way…
I HAVE BEEN REHUNTING THESE SAME FUCKING STAKES FOR WEEKS BECAUSE I WANTED TO USE ONE OF THE RUIN POKÉMON IN THE STUDENT TOURNAMENT.
I am upset.
Thank you.

OKAY UPDATE TURNS OUT!!! THERE’S A VERY SERIOUS GLITCH INVOLVING THESE RUIN POKEMON!!!
At first I thought it was a ‘beat the game’ trigger, but it’s somethin that’s been happening to A LOT of people!
I followed up with several other reddit users who recomended talking to the shrine and resetting mid shrine dialogue. This didn’t fix it for me, as the growl of the beast never triggered. So what I did was reset in front of the shrine, mid shrine dialogue, and just went and hunted down “the last” ominous stake... again. This FINALLY triggered the growl, and I’m currently battling it as we speak, so I’m glad it worked out. Just a heads up!
And welcome back to me posting about Pokémon Violet being glitchy!
It was brought to my attention that the game might be glitchy if you have an older switch…which I do! I got this back in the Christmas of 2017,the year it came out!
But still…my character herself is glitched up! Rather her face! She’s always smiling… she’s always just -> 😁
I dunno if you’re supposed to have this face after seeing the decreased poison crew image, but if not…my character’s face is usually stuck like this when not in battle!!!!
I love watching the videos I’ve taken of all the glitches I found in Pokémon violet. Like the amount of times I just get stuck somewhere. When I first started and went out side the first time everyone’s skin was gray and all the starters got stuck running into a fence. I love seeing under the ground every battle on a hill. Sometimes the camera just pans away when I initiate a battle with a trainer. Twice I went into a store and didn’t actually go inside I was just in the door.
My LeafGreen Suicune’s IVs I found out are actually bugged due to a programming error, Normally, the IVs of roaming Pokémon like Suicune are stored on a 32-bit integer and stored in a unique place, but due to a programming error, the last eight bits are taken into account instead, causing these fucked IVs.
Also, If a roaming Pokémon uses Roar (Entei and Raikou only), Kiss your chance of getting them goodbye, because they disappear.
