Seven Days in Tokyo : The preparation

I am almost done in preparing our 7 days tour in Japan that will start on June 29, 2017. We booked the flight last April but since we have so much things to do in between we only started securing for visa on the first week of June. Originally ten of us will travel however my cousin’s wife and stepson got denied in getting Japanese visa, they already have tickets but they will not push through anymore their ticket were not bought on sale so they have an option to rebook it for a fee, This is our first time that’s why we are unaware that we need to secure a visa first before booking a ticket in contrary to the policy of Japanese Embassy in other countries. If we knew that we do not need an airline ticket to apply for a visa we will not buy it first, If you are asking why my cousin got approved and wife and stepson were denied we also do not know but they are newlywed so he and his wife applied as single, my cousin can’t issue a guarantee letter because their marriage contract is not yet available. His wife does not have a good ITR and savings is just minimum.

Our itinerary is not final yet since the travel agency in Japan is yet to give us the confirmation in our day 1 booking, we are getting the airport pickup and Mt. Fuji tour combined with them if we will agree that will conclude our day 1 and we are going to have the Skybus tour on the second day. If not we are going to take the airport pickup service from Narita which is available online which costs 11,000 not bad as we are 7 travelling and it’s more convenient than taking the bus at 1355 or 9345 in total because airport limousine bus is not point-to-point. I am travelling with four senior citizens that’s why I am considering the convenience. I will give the exact cost of our travel in the succeeding article.

Our day one needs special attention because we are arriving in Japan at 6AM and we want to maximize this day. Our luggage is our number one problem that’s why we want to combine the airport pickup and Mt. Fuji tour together so that we can just put our luggage in the van while on tour. If you are asking why not leave it in Hotel, we want to save money and we booked our accommodation via Airbnb, on my next blog I will let you know how much we saved. If we are not going to get the combined airport pickup and Mt. Fuji on day 1 we are going to take airport pickup and ask to be dropped at Marunouchi in Mitsubishi building and look for a coin locker for our luggage and start the Sky Hop-on and Hop-off Bus Pass at 1566 per head then proceed to our accommodation afterwards. I think Skybus Tour is favorable to those who are travelling with elderly, I will also give you more details regarding this on my next blog. Then that sets our day 1 and 2.

Our Day 3 and 4 is weekend, by the way my younger brother is working in Japan and we have few relatives working there as well so we are going to spend time together in different places in Tokyo.

Our Day 5 and 6 Monday and Tuesday we are going to Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea at P5992 as package.

Our Day 7 will be our final day, we are going to rest and walk around until our pickup arrives and we will spend time in the airport.
