Writer and thinker in Urdu Literature, I have read one of his books, Intayzar Hussain  1925- 2016. Wrote about the partition of India and he had to migrate to Pakistan interview taken by Mahpara Safdar who is also a journalist and writer.

I.H- Writers always rebelled against the society and its norm and wrote, but now they don’t do that , but write to please people like advertising magazines, they want money, fame and many other things, its not easy to write..love of writing is hard too.  translation of the title are followed with the names of the books.

There is book presentation or inaugural of new books which was not a big deal until 50′s and 60s which was good now, I find it very hard on me as authors want speeches in their honour, articles or critiques on their works, I try to avoid all that but sometimes it is not possible, I have slowed down now, not writing like I used to for quality reason. If I could write fast I would have been in media, not a novelist or writer..

Writers are no longer rebellious, they want to write to please the crowds, then it would be writing for commercial gain, and not literary writing. on one hand they make money by selling words or the other hand the value of the words have gone down...

One can contemplate about the cities and people to some extent  but, when it comes to arts and litrature it is not possible to predict its future ,greater poets may come it can happen anytime and anywhere. Intayzar Hussain) 

I want to write my own stories, and not be dictated by the media. I did write for television and realised that I needed money, but I dont do it now as it is not my field. did write for theaters few dramas but we do not have the legacy of drama making and I appreciate the people who are still doing  , but I have stopped writing plays.( Intayzar Hussain) words....

I write because of my passion for writing, not for making people aware, but the novelist should be aware of its culture, history of the place and its people and then write, it will have some meaning and I never wrote to change people. Novel writing is my field.
