Before You Go (Steggy Drabble)
Summary: A series of Wednesday 100 Drabbles written for Steggy.
A/N: Written for Steggy Week 2023 Day 1: Headcanons and Meta.
Many of you know that I am a big fan of the headcanon that Steve and Peggy wrote letters to each other while he was on the USO tour, and so this one is based off the idea that Peggy continues those letters, even after he's gone.
This is the only one I’m posting for right now, but keep an eye out because there are more that I’ve written that I’ll upload here!
Huge shout out to @steggyfanevents for hosting this event!

Okay, since you said I can, how about 32 with Nat or Peggy? 😄💕
Ooooooh, you made this difficult, how am I supposed to choose between two of my loves? But, do enjoy my dear, I sure enjoyed writing it 🥰😘(Modern AU)
32. “How am I supposed to focus when you’re looking at me like that?”
Peggy was working on some paperwork in the office of your guys house, you having taken the day off due to a stubborn headcold that wouldn't go away and no matter how many times you told Peggy to not take off work, she did anyway, opting to work from home instead that day to take care of you.
She had made you come with her into the office, curling up on the very comfortable couch she had in there with a thick blanket covering you, you had woken up from your nap, still feeling rather lousy, staring at her from your spot as she wrote something down in the notebook by her laptop, she could feel your eyes on her, but she tried her best to ignore it so she could finish up.
After a few moments though, she lost the battle and set her pencil down, turning her chair to face you with a sigh "How am I supposed to focus when you're looking at me like that?" She questioned, catching the pout on your face that you didn't even realize you were doing.
"What am I looking at you like?" You questioned, your face scrunched up in confusion before a sneeze shook your entire body, groaning as you buried your face in the blanket as your head and nose throbbed, hearing a squeak come from Peggy's chair as she stood and kneeled down in front of you, gently running her fingers through your hair as concern took over her features.
After a moment, you pulled your face from the blanket and looked at her "Cuddle?" You asked softly, lifting the blanket up and holding your arms out to her, watching as she sighed and glanced back at her desk before looking back at you "Fine, ten minutes then I have to get back to work" she said, climbing onto the couch beside you and pulling you close to her, ten minutes turning into fifteen, then twenty, losing count after thirty as she drifted off to sleep along with you, knowing she'd be scolded by her boss later, but it was worth it.

Wednesday 100 challenge
Another Steggy drabble
In her head, Peggy had called him that for a long time. But there were many things left unsaid when he went into the ice.  That was one of them.
On the Brooklyn Bridge, grieving as she poured his blood into the river, she whispered it.
In 1949, beyond her wildest dreams, he came back from the future.
“What did you call me?” Steve sounded incredulous, as though he hadn’t heard right.
Peggy lifted her face, streaked with joyful tears, from resting on his shoulder.
“My darling!”
And the delighted, awestruck look in his eyes was worth all the waiting.

Wednesday 100 Challenge
Week 9 (PeggyNat)
Written for the @100wednesday any ship, any fandom, old-school drabble writing challenge! You can find the details here.
---
The first time Peggy and Natasha kissed had only been a tactical diversion. Still, Natasha had strongly suspected that, Steve Rogers or not, Peggy had kissed girls before. Now, rendered bonelessly languid as Peggy looked inordinately pleased with herself halfway down the bed, Nat was sure.
“You’ve done that before.”
Peggy nodded. “Yes.”
“When?”
Peggy slid up to prop herself up next to Nat. “Do you suppose we didn’t do this sort of thing in the 40s?”
“Just wondered. You and - ”
Peggy couldn’t hide her wistfulness. “Before Steve.” She eyed Natasha pointedly. “But he did that too, Widow. Do you?”

Prompt: I love her
"I love her."
*
Jarvis blotted his lips before placing his napkin down onto the table. "Miss Carter, I feel I must inform you… I know you do."
Closing her eyes, Peggy continued. "But I cannot ever tell her."
Jarvis frowned. He turned his head, breaking his "spy craft" to look at her from over his shoulder. "Whyever not?"
When Peggy didn't answer, he inhaled. "…Miss Carter, may I tell you from a place of knowing how it feels not to hope for the future, you not informing Miss Martinelli how you feel does not afford either of you the chance to have happiness."

1 | ache
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fandom: Agent Carter
Character(s): Peggy Carter
Rating: T (mentions of canon violence)
Summary: cool morning air and peggy's old scars
Word Count: 100
ao3 || ff.net
prompt: ache (from @whumpster-dumpster's 100 Drabble Challenge: Whump Edition)
Peggy felt it some mornings, when the air was cool and she arched her back to stretch. The dull ache in her abdomen between the two patches of slightly raised skin. They had faded as much as they would, like the scar on her shoulder. But that one didn’t ache like these. As she had found out, being impaled hurt more than being shot, so it only made sense that it would hurt longer too.
So she would wince, hand flying to the old wound as though it might split open again. But it didn’t. It had healed long ago.

Wednesday 100: Opening Hearts
Sometimes he chooses to speak about it. Sometimes he speaks because she asks, because she knows he needs to.
Today, rain outside, hands wrapped around just-right cups of tea, Peggy in one of his cardigans, he speaks about loneliness, Loki, SHIELD, about the Chitauri and everyday heroism, about the people who weren't his friends - not then, not yet.
She hasn't spoken since her gentle prodding earlier, absorbing, gaze steady. But when he quiets, she looks at him, says simply, "Oh, my darling."
(Only later, lying in bed after a shared shower, does she ask, "Steve, what exactly is shawarma?")

Sharon Carter & Peggy Carter · MCU
"I shall pretend to be surprised to find you working at your own birthday party."
"Aunt Peggy!" Sharon broke into a wide grin as she looked up from her textbook, but she didn't move from where she was sat cross-legged on her bed with a set of highlighters laid out in front of her. Peggy wasn't a hugger, and she preferred to go to people rather than let them come to her. "I'll be down soon," she assured her, "I just want to make sure I'm ready for my test on Monday."
"Ah, yes. Your mother did say you were top of the class. You wouldn't want to lose your reputation," Peggy said as she made her way over.
"And the sooner I can finish college, the sooner I can work on joining SHIELD."
Peggy didn't look surprised, and Sharon wouldn't have said anything if she'd expected her to be. In fact, Sharon thought she could see the slightest hint of a smile on her red-tinted lips as she sat down in front of her on the bed. Her great-aunt was pushing 80, but Sharon was convinced she'd never met a more elegant woman in her life, and she could only hope that some day she would look just as put together.
"Your mother certainly didn't say anything about that," Peggy noted.
Sharon exhaled, putting her open textbook down and taking a clump of her long blonde hair in her hands to fiddle with it. "She still thinks I'm going to change my mind," she explained.
Peggy gave a small nod. "I brought you something," she declared, making Sharon look up again. She handed over a rectangular white box with a silver ribbon wrapped neatly around it. "Happy Birthday, Shaz."
Sharon grinned again and eagerly began to tug at one end of the ribbon. It came apart easily and she opened the lid of the box to reveal her birthday gift: a stylish black thigh holster. Sharon's eyes grew wide as she looked at it then at Peggy, and when she picked it up to get a closer look, she saw that on the inside it bore an inscription in white: her initials, "S.C.".
"Oh my God," she said softly, "Aunt Peggy, can I...?" Sharon reached out her arms, raising her eyebrows hopefully.
"Oh, go on, then," Peggy declared, and Sharon leaned forward to hug her with a delighted laugh.
"Thank you so much. You really think I can do it?" Sharon asked, pulling away to sit back against her cushions. Had she been speaking to anyone else, she wouldn't have shown even a hint of uncertainty about her own abilities and the decision she'd made, but that didn't mean she didn't frequently have doubts in her mind. If Peggy believed in her, though, then she felt as though that was all that she really needed.
"I think you shouldn't completely ignore your mother. She loves you and she wants to be safe and happy, as do I," Peggy answered, "But I also know that you, my darling, are brilliant, and formidable, and capable of absolutely anything. Not to mention I know that nobody could have stopped me at your age from doing what I believed to be right."
"I can't just...I don't know, marry some guy and go be a real estate agent in the suburbs, not when there's so much happening in the world that I think I could be helping with," Sharon explained, "That'd keep me safe, but it wouldn't make me happy."
"I know," Peggy assured her, taking her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze, "But it is your 21st birthday, which is rather an important one in this country, and you are allowed to go out and get sloshed for a night."
"Sloshed? I like that one," Sharon said with a small chuckle, "I will try to enjoy myself, I promise."
"Yes, do," Peggy insisted, "And please go dancing."
"Dancing?" Sharon echoed.
"You'll never regret having danced, Sharon. I can promise you that."

Wednesday 100 Drabble Challenge Week 1 - Mysterious Objects
Thanks to @somewhereapart for this writing challenge. Details can be found here
--
"What is that?"
Steve stood a foot away from Peggy's desk, watching the mysterious object teeter back and forth slowly.
"I think it's a dragon egg," Peggy said skeptically. "I know how ridiculous that sounds but there's no other explanation."
He watched the egg teeter back and forth, the light reflecting the shimmering green and blue scales, he had no choice but to agree.
His question was cut off at a crackling sound, both watching as the egg started to crackle. A wing burst through the shell and a baby dragon lay on Peggy's desk.
"What now?" Steve asked, dumbfounded.

Wednesday 100 Drabble Challenge Week 1 - Peggy
Joining in on @somewhereapart writing challenge which you can find the details of here
Peggy Carter is many things, but vain is not one of them. Her looks have served her well, but she often wonders how her life would be different if she wasn’t, as her coworkers say, “a knockout.” Would they still assume she slept her way into this position, or would they look at what she can do? She is sick of being seen only as a pretty face. She knows how to use it to her advantage, uses the dumb, innocent act to pull information from unsuspecting men and doesn’t feel a lick of guilt—it’s their fault for underestimating her.

Prompts 1 &4 for Peggy carter please?
You got it! Enjoy! ☺️(Modern AU)
“Are you seriously trying to make me jealous?”
“Fuck being friends!”
You and Peggy were at a bar with some friends, mostly her friends since your friends were mostly homebodies aside from Natasha and her boyfriend, Bucky, you were currently chatting with Natasha while Peggy and Bucky went to get drinks "Uh, Y/N... Look towards the bar" Natasha said over the booming music.
Furrowing your brows in confusion, you did what she said and felt anger bubble up in your chest when you saw a random girl talking to Peggy and if the way the girl was up close and personal and touching Peggy, it wasn't a friendly conversation "We're not together, Nat... She can flirt with whoever she wants to" you said, trying to mask the anger and hurt as you turned back towards Natasha.
After that event, you kind of stayed away from Peggy the rest of the night, opting to hang close with Bucky and Nat until someone approached you and started hitting on you, which you welcomed since if Peggy could do it, so could you, the two of you getting rather close before you felt someone grab your arm "Hey!" You exclaimed as they dragged you off to the side to a more quiet hallway towards the bathrooms.
"I was in the middle of something" you huffed when Peggy released your wrist, crossing your arms as you looked at her, anger evident on her face as she stared you down "Are you seriously trying to make me jealous?" She asked, causing you to let out a shocked laugh, was she seriously acting like this? She literally did the same thing as soon as you guys got there!
"We aren't together if you do remember, you were flirting with others, so how come I can't flirt with people?" You exclaimed, anger building up and not just because of this situation "Fuck being friends, Y/N! I can't keep pretending that there's not something between us, I love you, damnit!" Peggy confessed, her chest heaving and staring you down as your jaw dropped, she had just confessed to you and here you were, gaping like a fish.
After a moment, you shook your head to clear your thoughts "I love you too, stupid!" You confessed, feeling a weight lift off your chest as you said those words, unable to process anything before Peggy pounced, pinning you to the wall behind you and kissing you like her life depended on it and hey, maybe your life depended on it too, the two of you getting lost in each other and the world around you disappearing, all that mattered was you and Peggy.

Wednesday 100 challenge
A Steggy drabble
Steve Rogers had always thought that if you were undercover, you had to be unobtrusive. Wear a baseball cap, keep your head down, get in and out fast.
Until he went back in time and married a spy.
Peggy’s undercover outfits were eye-catching. Red hats. Blonde wigs. High heels—Steve didn’t know how she could run in those.
“It doesn’t matter if people notice me, Steve,” she explained one morning, applying lipstick in front of their mirror, “if they don’t know I’m spying on them.”
“Well, I know one guy who’s noticing you.”
“Careful, darling, this is my knockout lipstick.”
