Teatro Lirico di Milano, giovedì gran finale di Musical Square con un avvincente confronto tra Brahms e il sassofono. Quattro fuoriclasse, specialisti assoluti nei loro repertori di riferimento, si sfidano in un entusiasmante confronto stilistico per la serata finale di Musical Square, la rassegna di musica da camera ideata da Giuliano De Angelis che, per questa prima edizione, ha animato il palco del Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber. Fondamentale la sinergia con il comparto musica classica, diretto da Roberto Favaro, e con la coordinatrice artistica, Yulia Berinskaya. Per il sesto e ultimo appuntamento, in programma giovedì 9 novembre alle 18:30 e intitolato Duo al quadrato, a dialogare saranno il romanticismo delle grandi composizioni brahmsiane per violino e pianoforte, interpretate da Yulia Berinskaya e Alessandra Ammara, e la freschezza del repertorio per sassofono e pianoforte, affidato alle mani esperte di Gaetano Di Bacco e Giuliano Mazzoccante. Da un lato Johannes Brahms, gigante del camerismo ottocentesco; dall’altro Darius Milhaud, Roger Boutry, Paul Creston e Roberto Molinelli, autori che della curiosità e della contaminazione tra generi hanno fatto la propria cifra stilistica. Si rinnova la collaborazione con la Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado: come di consueto, ad aprire l’evento sarà infatti la performance di uno dei suoi allievi più brillanti, il pianista Daniele Panizza. Presentatore della serata, il sassofonista e musicologo toscano Ruben Marzà. Degna conclusione, dunque, per una rassegna che ha voluto proporre un nuovo modo di guardare alla musica da camera, puntando proprio sulla freschezza delle proposte: dopo il repertorio per sestetto d’archi di #RomanticStories è stata infatti la volta del cine-concerto Chapliniana, e dell’articolato programma per orchestra, pianoforte e soprano Nobiltà e aristocrazia; con l’autunno abbiamo poi assistito al fortunato incontro tra musica e teatro di Beethoven in Vermont, e infine a un primo confronto fra generi, quello tra pianoforte classico e jazz di Piani Incrociati.
