1. Song of the year - Hozier’s Wasteland Baby! came out this year, so obviously I have to pick something from that: probably Shrike. Honorary shoutout to As It Was though, which was released before this year but was the first song he played when I went to see him live this year. Holy shit? Holy shit.

25. Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one.

Oh my gosh. Not a character I’ve talked about on here before, but I’m very fond of my Pathfinder/Ravenloft PC Naamah. She’s based on an older character I had but basically rebuilt from the ground up: now an oracle of Calistria, goddess of sensuality and vengeance, and a sacred prostitute. The campaign was a horror one from the beginning, but redesigning her like this gave room to delve into a lot of religious themes too, especially now that she’s racked up an atheist woman physician and a paladin for the goddess of justice (aka a literal knight in shining armor) as her fellow adventurers. She’s a manipulative, insecure, fundamentally cowardly character (Neutral Evil alignment!), but through it all she’s got a streak of genuine unselfish hopefulness that I love.

Also she might be on her way to selling her soul to the demon lord of succubi now. And part-succubus herself. We haven’t decided OOC yet.

Aaand she might be in love with both the physician and the knight.
