i love how Oak has a little of all his family members in him.
Etiquette and pragmatism from Oriana
Murder mode similar to Madoc's bloodthirst
Definitely Jude's anger
Vain, Charming, Flirtatious like Cardan
Playful like Vivi, Coy like Taryn
With a pinch of lovetalk from Liriope
And ofc, the Greenbriar bloodline from Dain

The Prisoner's Throne spoilers!!

“You have grown tired of far more fascinating girls,” Oriana says with a wave of her hand. “A few boys, too, if Court rumors are true. Your Suren is dull, without grace or manners, and furthermore—”
“Enough!” Oak says, surprising both of them. “No, she is not going to become the Mistress of Revels and have all of Court eating out of her hand. She’s quiet. She doesn’t love crowds or people staring at her or having to find things to say to them. But I don’t see what that has to do with my loving her.”
HOLY CRAP OAK!! HELL YEAH STAND BY YOUR GIRL!!

Stolen Heir spoilers:
I like Oak so much better knowing he’s a bloodthirsty little monster. He was all sunshine and rainbows and laughs that I love but knowing he likes killing people and can’t always stop is so interesting. It’s kinda crazy how Madoc was banished and couldn’t hold a weapon but still spent enough time training Oak to corrupt him like that. Or maybe Madoc just unlocked what Oak inherited from Dain all along. He gets his courtly manners from Oriana, Taryn, and growing up there. He learns spy craft and trickery from Jude and the Court of Shadows. He has a knack for attracting potential murderers like Jude too. He is a Greenbriar through and through with being a cheeky bastard and in love w women who cause him trouble. He’s a perfect culmination of his influences. I’m going to be obsessed with him forever.

1920s au thus far!
on twitter I asked if people would be more interested in the 1920s (somewhat Speakeasy)AU or the 1940s (Noire)AU
And 1920s took the win! I am going to be working with my partner as they are the creator of this story and I'll be sharing loads more!
Totally hit me up with any questions you have!💛

I don't think we knew that Oriana had wings before right? I think this is the first time their mentioned: 'With her pink eyes and pale skin and petallike wings on her back, she sometimes looks like a flower to him- a snapdragon.'

So how do you guys pronounce some of the names in tfota? I found out that I pronounce some of them differently because of my first language so here we go,
Cardan: Car-dan (like the automobile and the nickname for Daniel. I heard it's supposed to be prounonced like Car-den?)
Jude: Joode
Madoc: Má-dock (probably the name that is the most different than how it's suppose to be pronounced. I heard it was suppose to be Ma-dec??)
Vivienne: Vivi-eenn
Taryn: Tahreen
Dulcamara: Dool-kah-mārah
Liriope: Lili-wrope (me thinking it was "Lilirope" this whole time until recently)
Balekin: Bale-kin (apparently it's bal-kin. But idk calling him hay-bale seems funnier)
Oriana: Or-ee-ana (pretty much the same)
Suren: Soo-wren (with a little bit of rolling the r's)
Caelia: Kaye-lia
Nicasia: Nih-cah-sia (IS IT SUPPOSE TO BE NIC-KAY-SYAH??? 😭😭)
Locke: Locke (what else is it suppose to be)
Rhyia: Ree-a
Valerian: Veh-le-reean

do y'all ever wish the folk of the air books were narrated, not just in Jude's pov, but in like, a third pov or multiple ones? that way, maybe we could've had flashbacks of Cardan's childhood whenever he saw madoc being nice to jude, or val moren's moments with eldred whenever he reminisced them with jude, or whatever ran through Cardan's mind when he was w jude, madoc's thoughts when he found out jude had betrayed him, oriana's thoughts whenever she missed oak, Locke's thoughts whenever the bastard tormented jude and why exactly did he play with the twins cuz i feel like the depth of his scheme wasn't explained enough through Jude's pov, Nicasia's thoughts when she and jude were alone in the secret passageway.. Idk, i just kinda wish the povs in the book were switched from time to time.
