okay well im gonna meet this ship where it’s at and say. first of all, pairing bolin with a milf is a very dangerous game. i don’t think he could handle that (although im sure he thinks he could). also, bolin is pretty clearly into brown girls, so i’d sooner pair him with suyin (a classic stacy’s opal’s mom situation). but yeah. besides some freaks (non-judgmental) who would produce great mommy domme content with these two (and by great i only mean if that’s what you’re into) i really don’t get this one at all.

I know it’s a mock-up, but...

The character does sort-of look like Bolin and/or Wei and Wing. On one hand, if the new Avatar is Bolin and Opal’s descendant, then it’s cool that the new avatar is a descendant of at least two generations of Avatar companions. On the other hand, doing so may make the world seem smaller, and the avatar may have trouble forging their own identity if they are a Bei Fong and Bolin’s descendant (although identity crises are explored in most avatars when compared to their last incarnation, so it wouldn’t be new ground).

Was just exploring some of your korra related AU's. I would love to see a continuation of the Avatar Kuvira HC's.

1. Suyin smiles at Kuvira with so much pride and self assurance, like she somehow had something to do with Kuvira being the Avatar, or showing her stuff, or any of it. Kuvira hates it. She hates that Suyin thinks she can take credit for any of it, even in her own mind. On thr other hand, she dreads that pride being replaced with some other emotion. Just as she dreaded Suyin finding the Avatar and ignoring her for her new project.

2. After the White Lotus agents leave, it's almost possible to imagine they never were there at all. Things calm down as they wait for something to happen. Suyin had thought they were bringing Katara with them before, and instead got a nasty lecture about lying, before Kuvira's waterbending vindicated her. But now Katara is being promised to them again. And no one apologized to Suyin for calling her a liar. Everybody's just pretending it didn't happen. But every time Kuvira is alone, she feels herself start to shake.

3. As they wait, if anything, Kuvira's fights with Opal become more explosive, as she does her best to tamp down on bending outbursts. They yell at each other and rage about all of the ways the other one doesn't deserve what they have, and in thr process reveal all of their own insecurities and fears about what they stand to lose.

4. Katara comes at the head of a party of the White Lotus. She kisses Suyin's cheek, and Suyin calls her Aunt. Kuvira knows without anyone telling her that Katara will be on Suyin's side. Suyin will tell Katara all about her, and she will never be able to show Katara who she is herself. Not that she had any idea what would happen if she had that chance. What would Katara even see? Who is she?

5. Katara sees more than Kuvira thinks, and right now, she sees fear and resentment, self doubt and a determination that no one will see her weaknesses. Katara bows to Kuvira and smiles. "I hope I can teach you much more than waterbending," she tells her new student.

The 'Senna and Baatar are Sukka' s babies' is a great headcanon. That means Korra and the Bei Fong kids are cousins. It's hilarious because I remember fandom complaining about Opal looking so much like Korra when book 3 aired. Mako would ask 'why did you never told us those are your cousins and your uncle??' 'you never asked!!!!'

Honestly, I didn’t even think about how cool it would be for Korra and the Beifong Brood to be cousins until you mentioned it a while ago—that just makes all their interactions so much better lol. And it’s crossed my mind in the past how much Korra and Opal look alike…and I didn’t think too hard about it…but of course they do! Half of their DNA is from the same two people! (And they can thank Gran-Gran Suki for passing on those baddie genes tho 🥵)

LOK leaves so much stuff ambiguous, they could totally get away with Baatar and Senna being siblings and use the excuse that it just never came up (the rest of the Krew finding out would be hilarious).

I’ve also started thinking that maybe the LOK-era White Lotus (the useless sticks-up-their-butts guys) might have told Sokka, Suki, and Senna something like, “we’re not going to let the Avatar know she’s the granddaughter of two famous non-benders so she focuses on mastering all the elements and isn’t influenced to learn inferior forms of combat,” which of course would totally piss off Sokka and Suki and crush them since they can’t see their granddaughter, but at least they have Katara to send letters to Kyoshi Island and keep them updated on how their daughter’s family is doing in the SWT.

Sorry for taking a bit to answer this, I got caught up watching Seinfeld lol—but thanks so much for the ask!!! I will talk literally about anything Sukka, anytime!!!

- After the battle was over, and the Red Lotus was defeated, you suddenly felt shy for your outburst of feelings. You were timid to talk about it with her, surely Opal is a sweet and nice, but also she's a Beifong, and they always go to the end.

   limbs are forced away from her body as she falls from the sky.  air is ripped from her lungs as  opal tries to regain a sense of consciousness.  fingers twitch but her arms feel like boulders, too heavy...  can’t move..  no you have to.  just move!  you’re a bei fong don’t be weak!    the airbender squeezes her eyes shut in a panicked attempt to help her focus before bolin’s voice breaks through her fear like a sudden trumpet sounding mid-battle.   his arms wrap around her battered body as he grabs opal from the air.   how did he do it ? to speak in a voice so solid and sure but so soft. opal ponders this as they both sail back to bolin’s awaiting rocks head lulling against his chest with a weak smile.      " i know you do.  “     she never had to be tough around him.. she never had been the type to be stern, from the moment they met it’s always just been them.   he was a man made of loyalty and honesty with the sweetest and biggest heart.. and he was in love with her.       the realization seems to hit her for the thounsandth time, she’s near breathless as always when she answers.      “  i love you, bolin.. “

Can someone explain the parents and where they come from?

Some part of me still can’t belive that this comic is still making rounds, so all the same:

As for how where the kids come from though, basically it started with Sandy whom ended up crossing the multiverse to look for fellow ‘rare timeline’ children like herself and they find out that they’re all from timelines where Star Butterfly either didn’t go to this ‘echo creek’ place or she did but decided to continue traversing dimensions after Eclipsa becomes queen (if she does) and with nothing better to do in their down time hanging out together they decide to become pirates because it’s the metaverse and everyone is sworn enemies to everyone.

And as for the kids themselves and their parentage: (under the cut)

Sandy Hamada (gap tooth girl) Daughter of Star Butterfly and Big Hero 6′s Hiro Hamada- She was conceptualized under the idea that, maybe some time in Moon’s adventure era, Moon needed to do some business on Earth and ran into Stan Fredrickson, aka, Fred’s Superhero father, and so when Star is sent to an Earth Dimension to train, it was decided to use an Earth Dimension where Moon already knew and trusted someone, so Star ended up in San Fransokyo instead of Echo Creek. Star enters the picture breifly after Big Hero 6 becomes a more established hero team and eventually becomes an unofficial 7th member. 

Enele “Gear” Butterfly (boy with the hand gun) Son of Star Butterfly and Hunk Garett- Enele must be noted to have been made long before either series finale, so I was working under the assumption of ‘the struggle for peace continues��� on either side. Basically, with Eclipsa on the throne and Star no longer a princess, Star actually wanted to continue to help foster peace, so at Marco’s suggestion they (platonic best friends that they are) start wandering the multiverse as a diplomat. and eventually, they find Voltron. Star’s an adult at this point of course, but Voltron is still keeping the peace in their own universe, more war torn and battle hardened, but still there. Enele desparately wants to be trained into becoming a paladin for the next generation of Voltron. A magic using Paladin hasn’t been around since Allura went back to princess-ing after all.

Hana Butterfly-Midoriya (Smiley green girl) Daughter of Star Butterfly and Izuku Midoriya- Not dissimilar to Sandy’s general setup, but instead of having previous experience, Moon merely did a bit of research in various earth dimensions and came to the conclusion one where there are schools to help people train their abilities would be the best, so Star gets sent to an earth of Quirks. And much like with Marco’s family, the Midoriya family is assigned Star at the beginning of Izuku’s last year of Middle school. Izuku and Hiro are the only two of this whole setup to have the blood moon curse on their relationship with Star.

Kouki Bakugou (Heckapoo lookin kid) Son of Katsuki Bakugou and Heckapoo- Same universe as Hana is from, basically the idea is that after Izuku helps Star slay Toffee and save Mewni Bakugou gets aggro about all the cool stuff Izuku is doing, which, of course, is in his nature. and decides to one-up him by challenging Heckapoo for his own Dimensional Scissors. And, in the twenty years/8 minutes his test goes on for, they develop something... interesting. And hey, Heckapo’s been alive for thousands of years, but she’s never tried being a girlfriend before. 

The rest don’t have much by explinations, but:

Delphius Malfoy (Hogwarts kid) Son of Janna Ordonia and Draco Malfoy- because if anyone in the multiverse would convince Draco that Muggles are worth getting with it would be Janna.

Jonas Fenton (Kid with no legs) Son of Jackie Lynn Tomas and Danny Fenton- I just thought the idea of a ghost kid with only a furth of ectoplasm in him woud be fun to draw

Hitomi Diaz (Purple girl in lookout tower) Daughter of Hotaru Tomoe and Marco Diaz- A Sailor Senshi needed to be here. Plain and simple

Desdemona Ordonia-Addams (little girl with saw) Daughter of Janna Ordonia and Wednesday Addams- I mean... it’s self explanitory

Mason Diaz (Dipper lookin kid) Son of Mabel Pines and Marco Diaz- We just thought it would be cute

Toph Lucitor (purple girl) Daughter of Opal Bei Fong and Tom Lucitor- The idea was just ‘Tom asks a girl from another dimension out, Opal wraps her head around his deamon-ness pretty easily but everyone else keeps asking if he’s a spirit’

Rowan Lucitor (Fluffy haired kid) Child of Connie Mahaeshwaran and Tom Lucitor- I mean there’s gotta be SOME timelines out there where Connie and Steven just stay besties. 

Hibiki Tohmas (Keyblade kid) child of Jackie Lynn Tohmas and Sora- because Kingdom Hearts and also was made long before KH3 came out so as far as Hibiki is concerned, Jackie did a sweet kickflip over a heartless and Sora was instantly here for it. 

Barry and Nerissa West (the twins) Children of Jackie Lynn Tohmas and Wally West- We just thought it would be hilarious to have a couple of speedsters on the team. 

Maylis Butterfly (Bonus girl under the cut) Daughter of Star Butterfly and Chloe Bourgeois- awwww remember when we had faith Chloe’s redemption arc would make sense in-canon?

I don’t get it. Korra had all 3 elements except for air pretty much mastered at a young age; compared to Aang, who had to go through a lot of work to master each one in turn. Korra also seemed to struggle a lot less in getting into the Avatar State. So why does it seem like Korra is so easy to beat in a fight? In every season, the gravitas of the Avatar State didn’t seem to help her all that much in gaining the upper hand and she would only just win at the very end. Thoughts?

Korra is so easy to beat because she has the same problem in everyseries:

She played right into Tarrlok and Amon’s hands in Book 1, using herAvatar status in a way that exacerbated the extremists on the bending and nonbendingsides. She even admits that she got played:

Korra: Don’t hold your breath, bub. Y'know, Tenzin’s been right about you all along. You played me, you played Bei Fong, and now you’re playing  the new Chief of Police too.

She failed to pick up on Unalaq’s obviously evil intentions in Book2, thus aiding him in his quest to open the spirit portals and unleash adark avatar.

In Book 3, she was well aware she was walking into Zaheer’s trap, and yet inshe strolls, eyes wide open.

But at least by Book 4, she knew better than to let a villainmanipulate her into taking a rash action that would escalate the situation andput her own allies at risk hahahaha who am I kidding?

Kuvira: Attention, citizens of Zaofu.  Your leader, Su Bei Fong, attempted to attack me tonight while I slept, ignoring the terms of our truce. Luckily, I now have her and her assault team in custody. Opal: No. Kuvira: Rest assured  that I will not take revenge on the peaceful citizens of Zaofu, as long as your remaining representatives meet me outside the city at dawn to offer the full and unconditional surrender of your city. That is all. 

It’s a good thing Zuko was Iroh’s protégé and not Korra. In Zuko’scase, Uncle gave him a loud, angry speech about not thinking things through. InKorra’s case, he might spontaneously combust. It doesn’t matter how powerfulyour bending is if you let your enemy have every political and strategicadvantage they possibly can. This flaw was ripe for Korra to grow out of by theend of the show, and it would have been nice to see a journey like that.

Poppy's necklace isn't actually made of green pearls, but carefully and refinely carved opals. Suyin remembers her grandma loved her opal necklace because it had been a wedding gift from her husband. When she held her baby daughter, she was so beautiful like the she couldn't avoid to think about the necklace. She now had her own little Opal.

1. Suyin's mother was Toph Bei Fong. Suyin's mother trained the Avatar. Suyin knows a little bit about what it's like to be around young water, air, and firebenders when they're under stress. She recognizes the signs, puts two and two together, and suspects that someone in Zhaofu is the young Avatar, she just doesn't know who yet. The problem is, how will she know? This is an earthbending town, which means if the Avatar is here, they're an Earth Avatar. they have to be young enough to have been born after Aang's death, but also young enough to have been born after whoever the unknown Water Avatar was, died. But nobody knows when the water Avatar died, so she can't narrow it down any further than that.

2. One thing Suyin knows is that Kuvira is out of the running. She's too old. In fact, her birthday is the day Aang died.

3. Kuvira knows Suyin is hunting for the Avatar. She's not upset. She's not worried that now that Suyin had a new special project, she will drop Kuvira like the stray dog-monkey she is. She's not scared. She's not.

4. It's not until she ends up in a screaming fight with Opal, next to the fountains, and all the water freezes, and the pipes burst, creating an enormous geyser in the middle of Suyin's favorite courtyard that it occurs to Kuvira that she might be the Avatar Suyin is looking for.

5. Suyin comes and sits down with her that night. She tells her she contacted the Order of the White Lotus to find her teachers. She tells her that the fountain will be okay. Bataar designed it He still has the plans. They can fix it. She tells her the White Lotus representatives will be there next week. They're bringing Master Katara to talk to her. Suyin tells her it will be okay. Everything will be okay. But it's not, and it won't be. Kuvira has all of Suyin's attention again, but all it does is make her feel even more like a project and less like family. It's worse than ever. She's not okay, she's not.
