New headcanon that the circus kiddos learned how to make paper stars from Tilla, as it was something she could do with the kids while being bedridden (also the hc that she was ill for the majority of the kid’s childhood).

Fizz really took to it & continued to make them even when he was on his own. He kept a little box of them hidden & would sometimes write on the paper (a wish, a grievance, etc) before folding it into a star. Sometimes when he got ahold of different colored paper, he’d make them in the color according to his mood.

He would sometimes make them & arrange them as gifts to Blitzo Barbie & Tilla.

A bit later in life, once he meets & is in a relationship with Ozzie, he teaches the big chimera how to make them, & they will make them together as little date activities.

Making them is a good tactile distraction when Fizz gets too into his own head, & it’s good dexterity practice for his artificial fingers. They can both work on being gentle with something so small that could be crushed so easily.

Continuing with that last thought, Ozzie makes a bunch of them as a surprise gift for Fizz, the stars being symbolic for that even as big as he is, he can be gentle, & even with how much bigger he is than Fizz, he will never hurt him. (Ozzie will also make some & drop them in front of Fizz after they’ve had an argument over something & they’re both cooling off before talking. The stars are like a silent peace offering, a signal that the other is ready to talk, & checking to see if they both are).
