Confession: I was addicted to this app instantly. It has great storyline, sound effects and good graphic. Kudos to the artist, writers and app developer. I highly recommended this to those who love murder mystery visual novel games that don't revolve around romance.
Favorite character: Portia(surprisingly), Katharine, Margot, Freddie, and Mrs Bird
Least favorite: Q, and Janet
Hated: Jax
Even the mini games are fun to play and challenging.
Cut scenes are good.
The voices they use fits each characters.
Suggestion: I hope the next protagonist will be male though I know it would be Carla again, I hope not. I hope there will be more jumpscare.

I can't wait for the next chapter!
Why this app is so underrated?

Back in March, I downloaded a murder mystery iPad game on a whim, and it didn't take long for me to become fully invested. The game, of course, was Murder By Choice, and I was quickly enamored by the characters, the story, and most of all, the logic puzzle minigames.
Within the span of a few weeks, I finished the game, and I was rather sad it was over. But, to my surprise and delight, I found out that the studio is currently working on a second chapter! To celebrate, I decided to draw my favorite characters.
For those of you unfamiliar with the game, the top left is Carla, the protagonist. Top right is Q, the gardener. (He's my absolute favorite, and I really hope he gets an even bigger part in the second chapter.) Underneath Carla is Ruben, the owner of the island where the story takes place. Last, but not least, is Dr. Kat, an astrophysicist (and lesbian icon).

Portia's love jealousy theory
Hi, as someone who plays Murder By Choice and have disliking on Portia. This time, I'll make a theory how that jealousy stems.
Does she have a fair childhood, bad childhood or neglect childhood?
If we include Portia's Scheme (Blackmailing) that means its canon that Portia and Janet don't get along was because of they share same crush on one man, that's right. Carla's father, Ruben Navarro
But what if she's JEALOUS to other women who's around her age or clearly Ruben's age, does her jealousy even include Marianne Page? If so, that would've explain she saw Carla as "competition for Ruben's love" BEFORE Carla knew Ruben's her father.
Now back to her childhood since we didn't know her upbringing is, what if her jealousy stems from ever since she works for Ruben. Every other women who interacts Ruben and tending to blackmail whoever interacts him BEFORE Chapter 1 event.
I haven't gotten her memory chapter and for ghostwriting part, as far as I've heard Carla speculated Janet have burnout (writers getting pressured part). So technically, she's one of suspects who have/did questionable morals/stuff such as blackmailing (Jax in Texan Mafia and Georgiana's past)
If Portia haven't get shot thrice, I bet she'll snitch on Ruben about Janet using ghostwriters I'm sure that Ruben would've be CONFLICTED about Janet having ghostwriters to back up just to write her novels.
Blackmailing is wrong for her was because it stems from her jealousy so my guess is that her jealousy leads to her downfall.
But telling to Jax about that love letter, for me as someone who didn't date. Both Janet and Jax should have communication BEFORE Portia told him about conflicting love in chapter 1 event.
Even to the point she stalked Carla's background and found out she's a daughter of a man she loves.
Of course, she becomes more colder towards Marianne Page despite not meeting her personally but here's my guess:
What if Portia sees Carla as Marianne Page?
That would've explain she's cold towards her not only she share her biological mom's look but she does share Ruben's eyes.
(Not me pulling a Snape card on her..)

Okay
Done rambling.

Nordcurrent Labs head of publishing Andrius Mackevicius added, “We were instantly enamored with Go Home Annie‘s sheer imagination and execution, It was immediately clear to us that the mad geniuses at Misfit Village had a keen understanding of horror, and an original take on the genre that’s full of surprises, verve, and creative energy.”
