Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took a jibe at former associate Prashant Kishor

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday took a deep jibe at his former colleague Prashant Kishor. Nitish, who was recently in limelight for his Delhi visit, is working hard to bring unity in the opposition and has thus organized a wide range of meetings including that with Congress’s Rahul Gandhi and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Nitish recently broke his ties with the ruling BJP party and chose a time when the opposition is trying to unite and make a strong front ahead of the 2024 elections. “We want to be the main front, not the third front,” Nitish asserted and told the press that he would be meeting Sonia Gandhi once she is back from abroad where she is undergoing some treatment.

There are several clips and pictures from the meeting making rounds on social media. In theses, Nitish can be seen taking a jibe at poll strategist Prashant Kishor. “Working with other political parties is his business. Whatever he has got to do in Bihar, does not concern us. Does he know the ‘ABC’ of what all has been done since 2005?”

“Whatever statements he has been making… maybe he wants to stay with the BJP. Maybe, he wants to help them," the Bihar CM said, calling Kishor a “publicity expert”.

Kishor was made to quit JD(U) in 2020. A couple of days back Kishor said that he would be focusing on Bihar primarily.

"We have been doing our work since 2005. Some people just have the habit of blabbering, and not doing anything at all," Kumar said on Wednesday, hitting back at his critics. He was visiting the national capital for the first time after he allied with Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD last month, returned to the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance), and took the oath again.
