—Louis/Harry—
🩷 Teach me how to love by @perfectdagger
(E, 70k, one night stand) The one in which Harry is bad at sex and Louis spreads it all over town and to make up for it, decides to help him with no agenda of getting anything from it, but in the end, he ends up getting more than he bargained for.
🩷 My Other Half Was You by @lululawrence
(NR, 35k, small town au) Four years, seven months, and sixteen days after the day that changed everything, Louis turns a corner and literally runs into the man who just might change it all again.
🩷 Bitter Ends Turn Sweet by @allwaswell16
(E, 30k, songfic) It had been four years since Harry first heard the song his ex wrote about him and far longer since they broke up. He forgave Louis long ago, and now his life was focused on his career, his family, and especially his son, Max. But Louis was back in Chicago, after all this time, and he’s not an easy man to ignore.
🩷 Cowboy Like Me by Rearviewdreamer / @all-these-larrythings
(M, 29k, thief au) Going legit and starting over in a small town was supposed to solve all of Harry’s problems. That was until a string of robberies in wealthy towns brings him face-to-face with his rogue ex-partner and their dicey, unresolved past.
🩷 Every Lover's Got A Little Dagger In Their Hand by ishiplouis / @pocketsunshineharry
(E, 22k, enemies to lovers) Does the attraction between two complete opposites really exist, or is it just a myth?
🩷 It Will Always Be You by @phdmama
(E, 15k, older Larry) If you had told Louis Tomlinson a year ago that he would be celebrating his birthday by kissing the man who is the love of his life on a Church Street park bench in Burlington VT as the snow drifted softly down, he would have told you that you were extremely imaginative.
🩷 You Light Up the Path by QuickedWeen / @becomeawendybird
(T, 12k, mermaid au) Louis Tomlinson left his home in Doncaster as a young man with the intent of making enough money to send it back home to his family and support them however he could. Harry, or so he likes to be called, is the myth and legend himself known as the Staithes Mermaid.
🩷 The Revelation by @creamcoffeelou
(E, 8k, cult au) Harry feels his edges start to unravel. He can’t find where he ends and where Louis begins.  Part 3 of The Risen
🩷 Lacy Little Secret by hazzahtomlinson / @itsnotreal
(E, 6k, bachelor party) Harry learned a very valuable lesson that day: always check to make sure it’s the right car before getting in.
🩷 the embers are new by @nouies
(NR, 3k, fantasy) Louis is a dragon vet whose life is changed after a long trip.
🩷 DIY Orgasm by red_PANdaaa28 / @red-pandaaa
(E, 3k, Grindr) Harry takes artsy nudes, Louis receives one and they both get to come.
🩷 Next in Line by @jaerie
(E, 3k, a/b/o)  It wasn’t fair that nobody was doing anything about such behaviour. Harry couldn’t ban all alphas from his shows, but he could make omega only sections.
🩷 Just a little taste by @lunarheslwt
(G, 3k, vampire au) Harry is a vampire that comes home one night, grappling with the darkness that comes with being one.
🩷 The Early Show by LadyLondonderry / @londonfoginacup
(G, 2k, uni radio show) The thing about Harry is that Louis has never been sure if he doesn’t like hybrids, or if he doesn’t like Louis. Either way, it’s unfortunate that they apparently are both equally late.
🩷 Ahead in the Count by @kingsofeverything
(E, 2k, baseball au) Louis’s been a catcher in the minor leagues for more than a decade and he’s never known a pitcher to touch his junk more often than he touches the baseball.
🩷 I Hear the Wind, It's Whispering My Name by Anonymous
(M, 2k, ghost fic) She’d also allowed herself to think of the woman every time she had a bit of me time over the next week. But then the woman had returned.
🩷 Imagination into Reality by @tommokat
(E, 1k, girl direction) It’s more than just physical, it’s years and years of attraction and pining and something that tastes like love.
🩷 All This Time by @allwaswell16
(T, 1k, flower shop au) Louis Tomlinson had been best friends with flower shop owner Gemma Styles for years. It wasn't until she suggested he date her alpha brother that he ever thought of Harry that way. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea...
—Rare Pairs—
🩷 Pageant Material by LadyAJ_13 / @ladyaj-13
(G, 6k, Zayn/Louis) the Zouis teen beauty pageant AU.
🩷 Cool Kids Never Have The Time by wordsnnotes / @quelsentiment
(T, 6k, Zayn/Louis) Zayn auditions to join a band and makes a bad first impression on their bassist.
🩷 you wanna be on top? by @disgruntledkittenface
(NR, 6k, Zayn/Louis) Zayn’s experience as a contestant on America’s Next Top Model left her more than a little traumatized. She thinks she knows what to expect when she lets herself be talked into making an appearance on the show a couple of years later. Louis manages to surprise her.

September 5, 1980
unmasked tour
Bingley hall - Stafford, England
📸: Ross Halfin
"Truth to tell, the last couple of the band's concerts I attended in the States were really very much perfunctory, going through-the-motions sort of affairs. While the gigs were enjoyable on the level of total extravagance, it was obvious that the KIϟϟ members themselves had become jaded and disenchanted with their roles, like a quartet of actors who've played the same parts in the same play for so long that their performances have become quite spiritless. But the departure of Peter Criss (always a weak link) and the arrival of the excellent Eric Carr has heralded a new beginning for the group. The Foxy fellow doesn't bother to sing 'Beth' from a stool and toss red roses into the audience, he just concentrates on the job at hand and contributes a less pedestrian, more driving beat than his predecessor, strengthening up the band's backbone for the first time in years" (Sounds, 9/13/80).
Iron Maiden, who had then recently toured the U.K. in support of their debut album, took a break for KIϟϟ' U.K. leg. KIϟϟ conducted a U.K. press conference on September 4 after arriving in country on the 3rd. The band was invited to a dinner at Legends on Old Burlington Street on the evening of the 4th. The guests included representatives from Phonogram including managing directors, product and marketing managers, and A&R/press staff.

Dear Listeners,
It’s winter break here in Vermont so my son and I have been out on the slopes every day. For many years I have stayed away from fast slidey sports because I was afraid of injuring my hands. If my hands don’t work, how do I make music? But among the many bits of advice I’ve gotten in my parenting journey, “be into what your kid is into” has been one of the best. My lad needed someone to ride the lifts with and I needed to overcome my fear and learn how to fall properly, so here I am.
I found that skiing is not all that different from rollerblading, which I learned to do in Central Park the summer of my junior year. I brought the skates with me on my year abroad in Florence. On weekends there was this amazing city to explore but buses and museums and cafes cost money. And whenever I roamed the quiet streets and parks alone, I would be perpetually harassed, groped and even flashed by pathetic men. But rollerblading was free and, bonus, I am already quite tall, so with skates I was at least 6ft2in. No one ever messed with me on skates. I adapted to the cobblestones and explored all of Florence with exhilarating freedom.
One Sunday, as I was enjoying the expanses of asphalt in Parco delle Cascine, I came upon a group of folks on old-school rollerskates. They had a boombox and were dancing, just like the skaters of Central Park but without the sequined hot pants. They waved me over and exclaimed over my weird skates. They invited me to join them and for the rest of the school year, I spent every Sunday afternoon I could with the rollerskaters. We would gather, dancing and skating around obstacles, and once we had critical mass, tear off along the Arno and into the old city. We’d skate past the David, circle the Piazza della Signoria multiple times and whizz down the marble collanade along the Piazza Republica, ending in a bar, still on skates, for an espresso or aperativo. Those are some of my best memories of my year in Florence.
I continued the skating when I moved to San Francisco, zooming most days through Golden Gate Park to the beach and back again. Sometimes I’d join a similar group of mad skaters on Friday nights to roll fearlessly down hills and through tunnels. Skating was always a great source of joy. But then I moved away from the paved environment of the city and I transitioned to music full time. After acquiring a broken finger from an Evil Door and being shocked at how much that tiny injury impacted my ability to play, I quit skating.
Fast forward to Vermont. Like many people did during the pandemic, I got back on skates except this time with padding, wrist guards and a helmet. And then, as my boy learned to snowboard, I learned to ski. We still ride the lifts together but now he zips down black diamond trails while I ski carefully down the easy ones. He is mystified as to how I can bear to do the same runs over and over but I like it that way. It’s like a meditation. I focus on perfecting my technique and try to make each turn better than the last. It feels similar to one of the things I enjoy about playing the cello, which is noticing tiny details and gradually polishing them. How can I improve this one phrase that I have played thousands of times? It never gets old or boring for me.
I hope it never gets boring for you either! Next week I’ll get back to work improving my old songs and figuring out to play some of my new ones in time for my concerts in March.

The Burlington Bounty AU
Tumblr media
I'll be explaining the lore here. Long post ahead.
Tags for: school shootings, violence, manslaughter, mental health issues, depression, PTSD, OCD, bad parenting, obsessiveness/possessiveness
(The dead guy in the drawing is a practice dummy for the pose and story dw)
In this AU Keith, Cherry, Darnell, Pico, Nene would all go to the same high school. Keith is 18. Pico is 19, Cherry is 17, Darnell is 14, and Nene is 13. They would at first mutually get along and gradually bond with one another and form a pack with each other. Unlike in the original AU of mine, because he was already close friends with Pico, Cherry and Nene who were also friends with Keith, Darnell and Keith eventually became good friends with each other after a little rough start.
Before he first met either of his friends in high school in both this AU and the original, Keith had a jockey personality and reckless behavior in public. He often got distracted easily during his classes and rarely ever paid attention. He spent a lot of time in detention for misbehavior and constantly attempting to woo other classmates and getting into fights with other boys and even girls (mainly Cassandra). This is mostly a result of his undiagnosed ADHD at the time that no one was well aware back then. He was mostly known for being a troublemaker and had a bad reputation to everyone in town. His parents were both mortified by this and often questioned him why he acted like this when he was usually well-behaved at home. They’d often have to ground him because of this.
Upon meeting Pico in his first year as a freshman at 16, Keith would try to talk with the ginger-head, who at first tried to avoid him after constantly hearing about Keith from Nene and Darnell. He’d ultimately find himself failing and would frankly start to think of Keith as a friend, much to his first two friends' disbelief. In Keith’s second year of having to redo 9th grade due to his slacking, Cherry would join in the two after moving to town. It was almost love at first sight for Keith when he first met her in class after her introduction. Despite a lot of her new classmates’ warnings about him, Cherry would fall hard for him just as bad in return after getting to talk with him after school. It was then that she and Pico would start to steer Keith away from his old jockey self that everyone recognized him for that he started to become far more behaved and sweeter. In time with the pursuing of Cherry and Pico, both Darnell and Nene would become closer to Keith and consider him a good friend. With his friend’s help, Keith would finally start to catch up with his grades and make his parents proud and happy for him.
However it goes downhill when he turns 18.
During the shooting caused by Cassandra and her own pack of Goth punks, the pack is scrambled and separated. Pico was alone at the time and he ended up nearly getting killed by Cassandra had Darnell and Keith (who had met up at some point) stepped in.
Unfortunately Darnell is shot and Pico and Keith are left to believe he's dead. The last goes up against Cass in a haze of fury and gets his throat severely damaged by the stock of her gun hitting him too hard. He would’ve been killed had Pico not picked up the gun he found and shot Cassandra in the eye.
Once she's presumably dead, the damaged pair try to find Cherry and Nene, but only find countless bodies of their classmates and stumble into some of the Goth Gang. They both separate after trying to flee from the punks out of the school, managing to kill one or two in defense. They lose touch, Keith just barely managing to get out of the streets and collapse out of shock and exertion. He's found later by the police when they arrive at the scene, and by then he's just regained consciousness from lying out there unseen since who knows when. Pico, Cherry, Darnell and Nene are all assumed lost or dead after not having been found, and Keith is left alone paralyzed to the bone.
After getting hospitalized for his injured throat, he gets word from his parents that Cherry had been found unconscious hiding in the janitor's closet for nearly two days and that she had also been hospitalized from starvation. He got to see her one last time while she was still unconscious in the hospital before her angry parents prohibited him from ever seeing her again. They still believe he was the irresponsible boy from before and didn’t want him anywhere near their daughter ever again, mainly faulting him with the mindset that he wasn't there for her when she needed him most despite being her boyfriend.
Cherry wouldn't take not being allowed to contact Keith well at all. She'd avoid talking to her parents for almost a year after they moved out of town to Newsground City, and would also grow very depressed. She would struggle to finish high school at 20, and much like in the original AU she would move out of her parents' to study for a culinary degree, though here it was more for the sake of getting away from them. She would live most of her life haunted by her past and constantly mourning for her friends at the end of the workday.
Nene and Pico had been assumed dead since they were never found. Keith never fully believed it since he was never told they had found their bodies, but a part of him broke to have been told that. To add to the turmoil, it was confirmed that Cassandra's body wasn't anywhere at the scene where Pico and Keith last recalled leaving her. The second was left extremely paranoid after getting word of this on the news
Pico's story would continue fairly the same as in the original AU with only a few minor alternatives regarding his past friendship with Cherry and Keith. He’d have been harder to trust and grow closer to others due to the fear of losing them like he did at first.
Nene and Darnell are indeed still alive and barely managed to escape the school. The second had been shot in the shoulder twice and passed out on the outskirts of the nearby forest where he had been found some days later. The first had escaped with Pico like in the original AU and would part ways with him near the interstate.
After the tragedy Keith grew extremely distraught and despondent, suffering severe PTSD, OCD, depression and agoraphobia. His larynx had been damaged from Cassandra hitting him with the gun, and he wouldn't be able to speak because of the pain. He was pulled out of school and wouldn't ever go back to studying. His family moved out of that town and to a smaller and quieter town a few months after. His parents had gotten him into therapy in a desperate attempt to help him, but his lack of cooperation and overall despondency would prove otherwise. At some point after he turned 21 he decided to leave his burdened parents with only a note telling them that he was sorry for causing them such stress with his existence and that they wouldn’t have to worry about him anymore.
He would wander from town to town as an adult. He’d be introduced to the world of crime to survive, but that would quickly go downhill when he'd get into street fights with thugs or even random people after being angrily provoked for not being able to speak. The fights would end with him accidentally killing his opponents with his sheer strength and bare hands, gaining the attention of law enforcers. He’d lived his life constantly on the run from city to city, becoming an infamous bounty that was wanted dead or alive almost nationwide, wandering alleys and sewers and busy places as disguised as he could be. He'd stain the name of his family for generations to come. At some point he'd become such a dreaded criminal that even other criminals wouldn't dare mess with him. Sometimes just to avoid getting into any beef with him, other criminals or thugs would willingly help him with whatever he'd want or need: money, food, a place to stay for the night. Anything to keep him from getting angry and snapping their necks.
At some point he'd end up in Newground City, where he would meet Pico one night after the ginger had been hired anonymously to take him down. The two would recognize each other before any bullets were shot, and Pico would quickly realize that his old alpha partner was no longer the sweet dork from high school, but rather a broken and twisted echo of him. He wouldn't be able to bring himself to go through with the job, and would instead find himself being unable to shake the man off him.
Keith would meet Cherry later on one night upon walking near the restaurant she worked at when she was just stepping out and parting ways with her co-workers. She wouldn't recognize him at first, but after looking harder she'll come to the heart-wrenching realization that this mute bounty is her old lover from high school. She would reunite with Pico, and the two would have trouble trying to escape Keith's possessiveness and the danger that chases his very life for all of his brutal offenses driven from his frustration. They’ll have to choose whether to save the lives of people by helping the city arrest Keith, or become (knowns) criminals themselves for loving him because of who he used to be.

Bernie Sanders says his new bill to restrict aid to Israel is a response to the deaths of civilians in Gaza. Yet he also proposed cutting aid to Israel more than four years ago. The current war, it seems, is just a convenient excuse for Sanders to slam the Jewish state again.
In the immediate aftermath of the mass slaughter, torture and gang-rapes of 1,200 Israelis by Hamas on October 7, Sanders briefly took Israel’s side. He called Hamas “barbaric” and rejected the demands by his political allies that Israel cease firing at the terrorists. That enraged friends such as his ex-press secretary, Briahna Joy Gray, who claimed there’s no evidence that Hamas raped Israeli women and called Sanders “the biggest political disappointment of our generation” for not agreeing with her.
It didn’t take long for Sanders to succumb to the criticism. He’s now the author of legislation to put restrictions on the supply of U.S. weapons that Israel needs to fight the gang-rapists.
But Sanders cannot pretend his motive is the current casualty toll in Gaza. In October 2019, addressing the annual conference of J Street, Sanders proposed reducing U.S. military aid to Israel—and he said a portion of the Israel aid should be diverted, “right now,” to Gaza.
Sanders said he was proposing that the funds to Gaza consist of “humanitarian aid.” But it has been well known for years that “humanitarian aid” such as concrete, ostensibly to build houses, was being used by Hamas to build tunnels. That is, the hundreds of miles of tunnels, underneath Gaza, where Israeli rape victims and other hostages are still being held to this day.
So it appears the new Sanders legislation represents nothing more than a political calculation. Impressing Briahna Gray and other rape-deniers is more important to Sen. Sanders than standing by Israel. And it’s not the first time that he chose to abandon Jews in their hour of need.
On May 17, 1988, then-U.S. Representative—today Senate Majority Leader—Chuck Schumer led a delegation of eight Democratic congress members to the Soviet Embassy in Washington to protest the Soviet regime’s persecution of Soviet Jews.
They were especially concerned about onerous new restrictions the Kremlin had imposed to deny requests for exit visas. Soviet Jews seeking to emigrate now had to prove that their departure would not cause financial hardships even for distant relatives. Invitations to Soviet Jews from relatives in America would no longer be accepted unless the relative was a parent, child or sibling. And not only were Jews who supposedly knew “state secrets” disqualified from emigrating, but now their spouses and children would be denied, too.
In addition, all families with children under the age of 17 would be denied exit visas until the children completed military service. That new rule was particularly cruel because it was a Catch-22: those who completed their army service were often then denied exit visas on the grounds that they had learned military secrets during their service.
Congressman Schumer said he was worried the Soviet Jewry issue would “be swept under the rug” in the name of pursuing détente between the U.S. and the USSR. He was right to be worried. Because his future Senate colleague, Bernie Sanders, was one of the ones doing the sweeping.
Two weeks after the Schumer protest, Sanders and his new wife, Jane, decided to spend their honeymoon with a group of Vermont political activists on a visit to the Soviet Union to promote friendly relations with the Kremlin. Upon their return, Sanders—who was then mayor of Burlington, Vermont—held an hour-long press conference with his fellow travelers to discuss their trip.
Sanders spoke first. He heaped praise on the “friendship and openness” of the “extremely generous and warm” Soviet officials who hosted them. He hailed the Soviet government’s cultural programs for youth, which, he said, “go far beyond what we have in this country.”
Sanders focused on the trains in particular. “In Moscow we were extremely impressed by their public transportation system,” he said. “In fact, it was the cleanest, most effective mass transit system that I’ve ever seen in my life…The stations themselves were absolutely beautiful, including many works of art, chandeliers that were beautiful, it was a very, very effective system.”
While Sanders had much to say about the efficiency of Soviet trains, he had nothing to say about the vicious mistreatment of his fellow-Jews behind the Iron Curtain. He never mentioned the plight of the three million Soviet Jews who were being persecuted and prevented from emigrating. He never spoke about the grueling new restrictions the Kremlin had imposed.
When Soviet Jews needed Bernie Sanders to raise his voice in protest, he abandoned them. Today, when the Israeli victims of Hamas rapes and torture need Senator Sanders to raise his voice on their behalf, he has chosen to abandon them, too.

Three Palestinian college students were shot in Burlington, Vermont, on Saturday evening, prompting calls from civil rights organizations and the victims’ families for authorities to look into possible bias by the attacker.
The 20-year-old men are all receiving medical care, according to a Sunday news release from the Burlington Police Department. “Two are stable, while one has sustained much more serious injuries.”
The students were walking on Prospect Street while visiting a relative in Burlington for the Thanksgiving holiday when “they were confronted by a white man with a handgun,” says the release.

Maybe you can write a pt 2 to unrequited love, where reader comes back to nevermore after (for whatever reason) after not seeing Larissa for 4+ years (bc reader went away to university or something), and Larissa thinks the reader is over her “crush” since she didn’t come back until now. A smidge of angst and then confessy with a nice ending (whatever you have in mind😉)🥺👉👈

Authors Note: I had a few requests for this so I hope I can give you the ending you are hoping for. If you don't remember, here is the link to the original story.
Tumblr media
You were back for your five year class reunion. Part of you felt like it was a little soon for a class reunion, but when you got the email you thought about the other perks of going back to Nevermore Academy: the gorgeous principal. She would definitely be there, so here you were, back in the great hall where you had your own Rave'N and Dark Prom.
You were chatting with your old roommate, happy to be reunited. You talked about university and your new job. It turns out they had recently opened their own gallery outside of New York City, using their abilities to create wonderful art.
Your heart about stopped when a familiar and intoxicating voice spoke behind you, "Y/n, it is wonderful to see you again."
At Principal Weems presence, your old roommate told you they would catch you later, remembering the crush you used to have on the headmistress.
Did you... A) Admit your feelings to Principal Weems or B) Kept your feelings to yourself and kept pining?
If you chose A, here is your ending...
"Principal Weems, it is great to see you as well." You are now facing her, a polite smile once graced your face, but you were becoming overwhelmed. Had she always been this pretty? It was becoming hard to remember to breathe.
"Oh, you can just call me Larissa, you have graduated after all." She looked you up and down, making your heart beat a little faster, "Speaking of which, you never did ask me out."
You thought you could pass away. Your mouth gaped open. She made you feel like a nervous teenager all over again. Your jaw moved slightly, mimicking talking but no noise was coming out. You were embarrassing yourself, "I-I-"
"Oh, goodness. Did I break you?" Larissa was smiling down at you, enjoying your nervous behavior. She bit her tongue between her teeth, bringing a hand to your shoulder. Then she was moving forward, her mouth close to your ear, "You would like that wouldn't you?"
Your eyes opened wide and your inner monologue came out of your mouth, "Yes, headmistress."
"I like that..." Larissa pulled away from you, her eyes dark, "Perhaps we should grab a drink after this."
"At the Second Street Bar? 10 o'clock?" You were starting to regain your senses, trying to talk fast so you didn't lose this chance at a date.
"How about my office? 9 o'clock?" Larissa smiled and pressed a kiss to your cheek, leaving you standing alone with a perfect lipstick stain on your face.
If you chose B, here is your ending...
"Good evening, Principal Weems." You turned to face your old Principal, still blown away by her endless beauty.
"Please, just Larissa." She smiled down at you with her typical head tilt, "I heard you just graduated from university. Congratulations!"
"Thank you! I loved college, but I'm certainly ready for my new job. I moved last week. I'm going to be working for the historical center in Burlington." You explain, your eyes confidently meeting hers as you spoke.
"That's close to here! Hopefully I will see you around." Larissa's eyes looked you up and down, "I remember when you were just a student and I know you had some troubles, but look at you now. I remember that last discussion we had in my office like it was yesterday."
Larissa bringing up that conversation gave you a little confidence to reveal some truths about your time at Nevermore, "You know, I used to be so distracted because I had the biggest crush on you."
Principal Weems seemed taken aback, "You- You had a crush on me?"
Your mouth kept running and you were wondering if you were saying too much, "Oh yes. God, you are just so beautiful. I just couldn't focus if you were around."
Larissa noticed the tense of your words. You still found her beautiful.
"You know, y/n, perhaps we really should get together sometime... You will be living so close... I could show you around." Principal Weems stepped closer to you and your heart began to race.
"I-I-I would love that." You stutter at first but finally get your sentence out when you feel Principal Weems' hand on your arm.
"I'm free next week. Dinner on Tuesday?" Larissa asked her eyes looked down to your lips and back up to your eyes again. You could had swooned.
"Yes, please." Your voice sounded desperate, but you could care less. You had a date with Larissa Weems. Larissa smiled and pressed a kiss to your cheek, leaving you standing alone with a perfect lipstick stain on your face.

THREE PALESTINIAN COLLEGE STUDENTS BRUTALLY ATTACKED BY AN ARMED WHITE MAN FOR WEARING KEFFIYEHS IN VERMONT
“Without speaking, he discharged at least four rounds from the pistol and is believed to have fled on foot,” police said.
Police said that two of the victims are US citizens and one is a legal resident.
Two of the three students were wearing keffiyehs, traditional Palestinian scarves, according to the police department. Two were shot in the torso and one in the “lower extremities.”

Three Palestinian Men Were Shot In Burlington - Emergency Statement via UVM's SJP Club
We are sickened to learn that three Palestinians were shot in Burlington on North Prospect Street last night in a targetted attack. Our hearts and tears are with the survivors, who are alive and being treated in the hospital. The shooter is still at large at the time of this post. Violent, racist attacks like these are a direct consequence of the surge of racist fearmongering against Palestinians by Zionists in the past six weeks. We have said this from the beginning that weaponized fearmongering directed against Palestinians by Zionists will lead to violence in our community. Now, the repercussions are coming to our doorsteps. There has been minimal information about the racial nature of this crime from police, local media, or university administration despite the shooting occurring less than a block from campus. We woke up this morning to find out this appalling news through word of mouth. Every institution failing to protect us is complicit in this attempted murder. We have warned that the UVM administration's deliberate lack of acknowledgment of genocide in Palestine and failure to support students would have consequences for us at home. We have warned that their failure to do anything to protect us from the members of our own community inciting violence against us is sending a clear message. Now, after three young Palestinian men have been targeted in a hate crime less than a block from campus in a student neighborhood, UVM is still silent. We have spent the past six weeks protesting, demanding, and pleading with our institutions to stand with us as we suffer abroad and at home. As our institutions ignore their imperative to support Palestinians, they make it increasingly clear that we are on our own. Our community must do everything we can to support the survivors of this crime. Our community must stand with Palestinians now more than ever. It is a matter of live and death. The families have requested money for medical and legal support, and respect for their privacy and safety. Donation information is available at BICOMutualAid. We are monitoring the situation closely for more information on support for them. At this time, they have not called for mobilization. We will begin to take steps to take our protection into our own hands as our institutions fail us. Our communications are open to students and community members needing any support that we can provide. UPDATE: The tagged donation page has been turned off at request of the family.
