There is nothing more cringe worthy than hearing a some random fucking incel say,
"I hope the new X-Men 97 series isn't too woke."
And that is why media literacy is important, so you don't end up like the dumbass, rightwing, Christofascist motherfuckers who sit at home thinking that the X-Men are fighting for them. But just for old times' sake here's a list of the most unsubtle leftwing metaphors in the X-Men movie franchise.
Heads up some of these jokes are in really poor taste🤣

Have you tried not being a mutant?

When I was a kid (and now too I suppose), I really clung to certain aspects of 'Stranger Danger' and superstition and took it really seriously to *never give anyone my name*.
For some reason my chosen fake name since forever has been Gates McFadden.
Like 5 years old my lil crow brain was like yes this is it this is the name I'm stealing.
Clown: What's your name kiddo?
Gates McFadden.
First Trip to Starbucks: Name for the order?
Gates McFadden!
Random social situation and someone asks?
Gates McFadden.
Any time a teacher who wasn't mine asked for my name:
Gates McFadden.
People who get it:
Everyone else:

You ever watch a movie because you think the lead is gorgeous (Chris Pine), but within two minutes the odd, socially inept, less conventionally attractive genius (Zachary Quinto) leaves you obsessed? Spock had me in knots!!! 🤣

Sometimes I remember the day that I - a nerdy, "gifted," perfectionist, teacher's pet student - learned from a school blood drive that I got an A+ in blood type and think "yeah, that was the pinnacle."

Just cringing at the thought that I, at one point, thought the Riddler in Matt Reeves's The Batman was an antihero. He's not. The Riddler is just another hateful incel with a social media account. The fact that I did not immediately see that is embarrassing.
🤦🏻♀️

Never underestimate how much a weird interest can help someone out in other aspects of their life.
I was exposed to the concept of how byte storage works as a result of deep diving the how and why of old gameboy game glitches like missingno and the mew glitch in Pokemon RBY.
That randomly helped me out today in my big important grown up job.
I learned the basics of coding by making cringy html/css based websites for my neopets.
That gave me the foundation to quickly pick up how to code SCORM packages for online web courses in my previous job--and now--look at log pulled from my own scan tool session on a car where a routine failed, and be able to see when and why that happened. Which will tell me where to look to find the problem.
