bakugou carries his little newborn around on his bare chest in the kitchen for a bit and then when she starts to get fussy, he lays her down on the couch to swaddle her back up, and she reaches her little arms high above her head and you can hear him quietly hum and say, all fondly,
"oooh, big stretch,"
and his sleepy face is all soft and his lips are curved up just a bit and he waits until she's done before carefully wrapping her up 🥺🩷✨️
Working on a stp au, so take the designs of the protagonists: two dysfunctional and amnesiac detectives and their equally dysfunctional amnesiac client! This surely can't go horribly wrong!
How Old Are You?
Age is a quality of mind.
If you have left your dreams behind,
If hope is cold,
If you no longer look ahead,
If your ambitions' fires are dead --
Then you are old.
But if from life you take the best,
And if in life you keep the jest,
If love you hold;
No matter how the years go by,
No matter how the birthdays fly--
You are not old.

Ever since I've started paying attention to how published authors use punctuation, I have stopped caring about sentence fragments, or overusing commas, semicolons, and em-dashes.
You gotta let your sentences flow naturally. Sometimes that means not using three em-dashes in a paragraph because it is distracting. Sometimes that means using three semicolons in a single sentence (*cough* Frank Herbert).
Maybe the rule is, don't use fancy punctuation/fragments if following grammar rules and conventions will do, but sometimes your sentence just sounds better with six commas, an em-dash, and no verbs.
Just imagine, orca eclipse find two baby orcas (Sun and moon), and he just decided to adopt them and bring them to y/n.
Eclipse: Happy day, we are parents now. Our babies :)
That's in character for him—Eclipse would be very concerned about abandoned siren young and immediately tend to them, protecting them from predators and feeding them. Once he confirms their parents are gone or dead, he would graft them into his family unit.
Baby orca sirens are incredibly adorable, so as much as you might be shocked by Eclipse becoming a sudden father (you are also a parent now, he just hasn't told you yet), the little chirping babes are very compelling. It would also show you a side of Eclipse you never imagined before... and it's very sweet.
Can I just gush over how much I love the way that Roger delivers these bits of Sonic laughing for a second? They are so simple and short yet bring a smile to my face each time I hear it.
