Coward and Proud of It
(Nathaniel is drawing in his sketchbook after another akuma attack, and notices his classmates looking embarassed, their faces riddled with guilt.)
Nathaniel: Why do you guys look like that?
Alix: Dude, we’re such horrible friends! We forgot about you again!
(He looked confused. She sounded sincere, but why?)
Rose: I can’t believe we left you behind! We’re supposed to look out for each other!
Nathaniel: Uh, what are you talking about?
Nino: We didn’t go back to look for you dude! We were too busy saving our own skins. (He looks ashamed. Nathaniel realizes what’s going on.)
Nathaniel: Are you talking about the last akuma attack? You think you abandoned me?
Kim: Yeah! You were nowhere to be found. Weren’t you looking for us?
Nathaniel: Uh... no? Guys, you didn’t leave me behind. I left you.
(The entire class gasps in shock.)
Chloe: What are you on about, Kurtzberg?!
(He just rolls his eyes at the girl.)
Nathaniel: Whenever I am able to do so, I slip away from you guys. Afterall, Akumas seem to have a magnet for our group. And the best way to avoid getting killed is to lay low, away from the source.
Adrien: You make it sound like we’re a liability to you!
Nathaniel: *Bluntly* You are. You all run around like headless chickens, instead of ducking for cover and keeping your heads down. If this were a zombie apocalypse, you’d fail horribly. Well, except for Adrien and Marinette. Somehow you two always manage to avoid the brunt of the attacks. Not to mention you’ve never been akumatized yourselves. Main character energy if I’ve ever seen it.
Marinette: Yeah... that’s the reason. *Internally sweating*
Max: Nathaniel, you make up one fourteenth of a group. I am pretty sure we’d realize if you had abandoned us.
Nathaniel: Well, Max, for a guy with such a high iq, you clearly weren’t smart enough the other four times I did it.
Alya: Hold on a second, you’ve left us FIVE TIMES?!
(Nathaniel nods. He doesn’t understand why everyone seems so surprised.)
Nathaniel: You make it sound like it’s such a hard thing to do. When you’re all freaking out like that, it’s easy for a quiet guy like me to slip away.
Alix: (Talking about the Art Club Squad) But every time we texted you in the group chat, you acted like you were trying to find us. You even said you understood how panicked we got.
Nathaniel: Yeah, I was lying. You think I’m gonna reveal my escape plans? Then you’ll wanna join me, and I can’t have anyone from this class, even my friends, putting a target on my back via association.
Juleka: *Mumbling* Ouch, dude.
Chloe: Hmph! Well if you’re so elusive, tell us how on earth a nobody like you managed to survive all these attacks.
Nathaniel: Why should I tell you? You’d just try to join me next time.
(Rose uses her puppy dog eyes, and he caves.)
Nathaniel: Alright, fine. But I’m not taking any of you next time, you hear me?
(They grumble and nod.)
Nathaniel: Ok, Stormy Weather was pretty easy. All I had to do was avoid Alec, head home to my house, shut all the windows, lock the doors, hide under the bed, and done. For some reason, Akumas usually attack anyone unlucky enough to be outside. If they don’t have a specific victim in mind that is.
(The classmates all mutter in agreement. He had a point.)
Nathaniel: Next up was Guitar Villain, and once again you all ran off together, not even thinking of splitting up. And it seems none of you got the idea of just pretending to like the music. That’s what I did, just copied what I saw Ivan doing in class the day before, and headbanged like there was no tomorrow. I find the music to be cringe as all hell, not to mention the singer’s a deadbeat dad with an obviously fake English accent, but I had to fake it to make it.
Juleka: *Muttering* He really is a scumbag.
Nathaniel: Then there was Frightingale. I didn’t escape by myself, since I got a helping hand from a certain cute writer who I had been in the music video with. Turns out we had both been crushing on the other for awhile, and finally had the courage to ask eachother out. He took me to a safespot with the other kids in Mendeliev’s class, they took a liking to me, since I actually bothered to ask about their lives. You do realize that the kids besides Marc, Mireille, Jean and Aurore have names right?
Marinette: Of course we did!
Nathaniel: Really, what are they?
(The class is unable to even come up with a guess.)
Sabrina: Uh...
Nathaniel: That’s what I thought. Anyway, Zombizou was my favorite. Me and the Science kids got to kick love-zombie ass, and in order to avoid suspicion, Marc and I kept making out whenever they were near. It was so awesome! (He blushes before getting back on topic.) So yeah. You guys never abandoned me, I abandoned you. And before you say anything, no, I’m not sorry.
Alix: *Looking forlorn* But dude... we’re your friends!
Nathaniel: Well, you are. Most of the Art Squad is, but the rest of you only interact with me if you need something for your ships. You realize I’m an accomplished cartoonist, right? The Ladybug comic I work on with Marc is a huge success. I’m just as important as the rest of you!
Kim: Dude, we aren’t saying you’re not.
Nathaniel: Well I wasn’t important enough for any of you to notice I was being bullied by Chloe?
Chloe: Oh please, Kurtzberg. You got off easy.
Marinette: She made everyone’s life bad, Nathaniel. Not just yours!
Nathaniel: When you get bullied, everyone coddles you. When I get humiliated in front of the class, nobody besides my art friends came to comfort me, to explain to me why I got akumatized, why I was right to feel angry about what happened. Marc’s class also took the time to explain to me how it was creepy to write my self-insert being in love with a real classmate. They’re the reason I apologized to you, Marinette.
Chloe: Well if they’re so cool, then why don’t you join them!
Mylene: Chloe! We wouldn’t want that! Nathaniel’s our friend!
Nathaniel: Actually, that’s what I plan on doing next year. No offense, but I can only tolerate like half of you. I’d rather be with a class that actually recognizes my value, that takes the time to ask how I’m doing. If that makes me a background character in your world, so be it.
(He gets up and sees Marc waiting for him.)
Nathaniel: I’m not some helpless little lamb that gets lost whenever there’s an akuma. I’m a survivor, a coward, and I’m proud of it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna make out with my boyfriend.
(He smirks as he sees each classmate with their jaw on the floor.)

Crack Prompt: Marc and Nathaniel are busy coming up with a special arc for their superhero comics and wonder about their classmates who have been akumatized except for two which are Adrien and Marinette.
It eventually leads to a discussion of the first arc with an akumatized Adrien fighting against Ladybug and Chat Noir. The second arc was a bit more tricky because the duo knew just how much Marinette has the skills to be the most devastating akumatized villain ever so they had to include the rest of the class except Marinette to flesh out the details.
It all spirals into oblivion like Alya coming over with a conspiracy board of just how much damage an akuma Marinette can do and also doubles as a meeting to come up with ways to make sure Marinette never gets akumatized.

This got me thinking. What if Lila decided to photoshop which is a crime to do on pictures without someone's permission in which she is doing it illegally. What if she gets caught by doing it with Alya recording it?
but what they don't know is that Lila is doing this for a Mass Akumatized for Hawkmoth. A few other students who were here since the day Lila joined the school one of them happen to video record her grabbing the akuma by working with the terrorists so they went to see Sabrina if she can call her dad that they found something interesting saying that they found someone accomplice with Hawkmoth.
the other times where the students spotted Lila talking to Gabriel they even had a recording mic to spy and listen from a distance to hear it clearly. It is clear that Lila is working with Hawkmoth and Mr. Agreste happen to be Hawkmoth they do not look very happy at all. With this they can send this to Officer Rodger Raincomprix and Chloe's dad if he is available but they had to see Chloe first in order to get to her father to show the video clip and the microphone recorder as well.
The one who has been using evidence is really Aurore, Mirelle, Marc, and Felix who is Adrien's cousin who just came back after getting scolded by his mother for something she saw in the news, and Kagami who transfer to Marinette's school but in Mrs. Mendeleiev class to keep a close watch with the Akuma Class.
But at the end things got a little out of hand. Mayor was not happy that Damocles and Bustier decided to listen to one student instead of checking the cameras to what his daughter told him when she brought her school mates to him. The Mayor gave Damocles many changes to redeem himself but he didn't. But after finding out that the student in Francois Dupont is working with Hawkmoth it put him out of the gutter and decided to redeem himself by informing this to the Government, Embassy, and the President to see what they should do with the student accomplice with terrorist, and two terrorist itself.
Chloe had Sabrina with Max to search for the school funds but found it was empty by Damocles using for his owl stuff then gave it to her father explaining that the school funds were emptied out by the principal for his owl heroes stuff. It would explain why Damocles didn't bother to upgrade the lockers or the clubs but mainly focusing on the sports teams he liked. It actually pissed Chloe off but if Marinette where to find this out after doing this for quite a while with Chloe this would make her send a complaint to the School Board about it.
While Luka gives advices and comfort towards Adrien but found something that he is now crushing on Adrien as Adrien is now crushing on a boy instead of girl.

A funny little detail I noticed in terms of the love lives of other characters.
Shipping is a big part of any fandom, and Miraculous Ladybug is no exception, but if you take the time to think about all the canon relationships which can be identified within the miraculous ladybug fanbase, you would come to find that practically all the solid relationships within the show, centered around one character in particular before being canon...Marinette
In “Animan”, Nino was Not in love with Alya, he was in love with Marinette, but despite the confusion which resulted in Adrien and Alya making plans that counteracted each other and left Nino alone with Marinette, it was ultimately Ladybug’s quick choice to isolate Alya and Nino in one space while they faught Animan that ultimately helped Alya and Nino have time to talk and very quickly realize that they have a lot in common, and from then onward the rest was history, Nino fell in love with Alya, and Alya with Nino, making them one of the most solid couples in the show
In “Evillustrator” and “Reverser”, Nathaniel was not in love with Marc, he was in love with Marinette, then Ladybug. But it was because of Marinette and Ladybugs actions that helped these two socially awkward and shy individuals come face to face and realize they actually had a lot in common and shared similar passions for story making, effectively making them another one of the most solid relationship in the show, if you see one, the other is not far behind, they will always be together and together they helped build each other’s confidence .
It would honestly not surprise me if at some point in time Juleka or Rose were in love with Marinette before they found their way to each other.
It seems that any person who falls for Marinette, will not be left in heartbreak for long, because much like how Ladybug is linked to good luck, its almost as if the people who fall for Marinette or Ladybug will gain the much needed fortune of being destined to find their soul mate not long after accepting the fact that they must let go of their feeling for her.
Which kind of gets me wondering who Luka Might end up falling for later. I’d imagine Luka would need to establish some sort of strong connection with someone else just like how Nino and Marc did.

Why are y'all attacking me for saying that Nathaniel is gay and had crush on Marinette and LB his crush was literally "oh she's cute" and "oh she saved me she gave me inspiration for comics" it's more of administration and idolisation than a actual attraction. But still she got into a head of a boy, that's what I'm saying. Simping and crush and love is not necessarily the same thing. Y'all can't let ONE Marinette post go on without changing the subject or attacking me for it.

Denise: Uh, at the subway, right here. *Points to the map*

Lacey: Downtown?

Marc: Supposedly, if you look at sacred sites and weird events all over the world, and connect them with lines where they intersect, it's an unusually powerful spot. Aurore and I just dismissed this theory because it just seemed too random to have any merit.
Ismael: Dismiss this! *He compares the map to one in a book with the exact same markings*
Marc: Okay. That looks like it's got some merit...
Simon: ... They’re using the devices to charge the ley lines... They’re creating a vortex!
Denise: I’m sorry, what?
Jean: Oh, boy.
Simon: Okay, if this person gets one of their machines in there and it's big enough, they’re gonna be able to rip a hole right through that barrier!
Mireille: Letting whatever's on that plane come crashing down on this plane.
Ismael: Okay, I'm calling this in. *He pulls out his phone*
Cosette: That intersection right there between 7th and 8th. What is there now?
Zoé: The Mercado. That actually makes sense.
Ismael: *Speaking with someone* Okay, yes, I'm looking for Majestia and Knight Owl
Zoé: The Mercado has one of the weirdest histories of the buildings in New York.
Simon: Okay, so it's your standard-issue haunted building?
Zoé: No, this is even before it was a building. All sorts of massacres happened at that spot. Like the peaceful trade between the Lenape Native Americans and Captain Warren. Then, all of a sudden, everybody dies. Roberts Stals, the pianist from the twenties? Did a show right in that spot and a stage light fell right on top of him. Few years after that, a restaurant opened up. Everyone got food poisoning, died of typhoid flu, and there was a kitchen fire that burned the whole place down.
Coraline: *Sees the picture of the Mercado staff and notices Gabriel* Oh, my God, you guys. This is the dude that was at the subway, that was talking about the cataclysms!
Lacey: That is him! Oh, it's always the sad, pale ones!
Marc: Okay, people, let's gear up and hit that Mercado!
Zoé: Who's in the mood to save New York City?!

Marin and his parents vanished without a trace almost two years ago. Their bakery shut down, their social media accounts deleted, every proof of their existence other than memories of those they knew. Gone.
Now, on the verge of graduation, the class of Francois Dupont win a contest for the royal family of Concidelle, a discreet Chinese-European kingdom. The prize? An all-expense paid field trip to the kingdom, and invites to the Crown Prince's eighteenth birthday ball. Adrienne is on the trip, too-but her mother insisted on coming. To publicize her new fashion line, she says.

I’ve got several questions. One, I don’t know if you’re into wereanimals (like werecats, Werebugs, wererabbits, etc.) but which wereanimal would each member of Miss Bustier’s class be? Two, how would you feel about one of Miss Bustier’s class being reakumatised into their Akuma form - but this time they’re Kaiju-sized. Lastly, considering salt fics, are you a class sugar and class redemption person, or a class salt person?
Lol, so for the first part of this ask:
Marinette, Adrien and Alya would be the same type of animal as their Miraculous.
Except Adrien would be lion sized specifically because I think I'd be funny if he was huge and still acted like a house cat.
Same reason Marinette gets tini-tiny when she turns into a literal ladybug.
Nino would definitely be a werewolf. I know, it's cliche at this point but it fits him so well!
Chloe is a were Chihuahua.
Hmm, Mylene and Ivan would also be their Miraculous animals because that would be cute.
Nathaniel is a werecat and Marc is a weredog. I'm right.
Kim is absolutely a monkey.
Idk about the rest.

My feelings about Canon Nathaniel
Nathaniel Kurtzberg's canon self is not someone I support. I find his design and concept great, but the execution is horrible. While Nath is usually in the background, anytime he does appear has been either forgettable or unpleasant to watch.
He never apologizes to Marc or Marinette for his actions in Evillustrator or Reverser
He can be incredibly nasty when he feels wronged, as seen by ripping up Marc's notebook and never saying sorry for it. All he says is that he "might have jumped the gun". MIGHT?! Yeah that's an understatement!
He draws his classmate Marinette without her permission, in situations where she is in love with his self-insert. Even creepier when you consider that Marinette's dad is a self-insert for Thomas Astruc and Sabine is based off of a real life woman he had a crush on.
He spends all this time saying how much he wants to be a superhero but when Ladybug finally gives him an opportunity? He initially turns her down. WTF, Nathaniel, I thought this was your dream? Oh wait, it's because you don't like playing on a team. Sorry, Nathaniel, you can't be the center of the universe.
He doesn't show any interest in Marc's passions about soccer, and gets Marc to make an excuse for him. Nath, don't use your boyfriend like that!
In general, Canon Nath feels like a "nice guy", someone who mopes about being a lone wolf and acts like the whole world is out to get them, all while being a creep and jerk.
Side note, his English VA is a creep. Also the only time he's sorta tolerable is when him and Marc suddenly become Adrinette obsessed stans. Speaking of which, I do find Canon Marc's personality change from Season 2 to Season 4 to be kinda jarring, but overall he's much better than Canon Nath. Fanon Nath? He's cool, he's awesome. Canon Nath?, fuck that guy. Canon Marc deserves better.

Unpopular opinion: I don't like the girl squad boy squad dynamic and I hated Partycrasher.
I'd rather gender neutral groups. We can have both girl moments and neutral squad moments :/. Idk this show has a weird distinction between girls and boys (and yeah, it is not a coincidence lmao).
Kim daring Kagami, Nino and Mylène doing short movies and videos, Nath (fanon Nath) and Rose painting together, Max and Marinette practising their game skills... and hear me out, cursed friendship: Lila, Alya and Marc writing shit together. Alya writes, Marc writes and Lila is a very very creative person. Could be a nice start for a redemption-esque arc, lmao.
No but seriously, I'd love friend groups that aren't just "boys" and "girls".

So this will contain Marinette sugar and alya and Lila and class sugar and Adrien salt/bashing And can this focus on Luka/Nath
So basically Luka and Nathaniel had been dating now and this starts to make Adrien jealous since he had a crush on Luka and he got very angry when he saw Nath and Luka kiss, he was very angry and later on he had a plan, after school he was gonna sneak on Marc and then push him hard down the stairs and then he runs away by the way Marinette saw the whole thing and she recorded the whole thing , then Nath was sent to the hospital and he stayed there for two weeks and his body was hurt and Nath was crying while Luka was comforting him, Meanwhile Marinette confronted Adrien and recorded the whole confrontation secretly on her phone and after Adrien punched marinette and then threatened her later on Marinette makes a Group chat and adds his friends except Adrien and she tells everyone what Adrien did and show proof, so then they showed the proof to Miss Bustier and the principal and Adrien got suspended for a month for doing a cruel thing and was grounded until for a month, and later on Adrien apologies to Luka and Marc but then they said that it would take a week for them to forgive and then they left leaving Adrien to cry while feeling guilt in himself

Luka and Nathaniel were the talk of Mrs. Bustier's class. Everyone thought the couple were adorable together. Everyone, that is, except for Adrien. Adrien was filled with jealousy. He had liked Luka for a long time now, ever since he invited Adrien to join the band. Adrien tried flirting, but Luka never seemed to notice or care. But he always stared at Nathaniel. Adrien didn't get it. He was handsome, famous, and was always nice to Luka, so why didn't Luka like him back? It didn't make any sense. Adrien watched as Luka and Nathaniel went on cute dates, got Andre's ice cream together, and grew closer and closer. As he watched, the jealousy and anger consumed him, until he took drastic measures.
One day after school, Adrien had stayed late for fencing. After the fencing lesson ended, and everyone had left, he went upstairs to get something he forgot in the classroom, and when he came back out he saw Nathaniel leaving the art room and approaching the stairs. Adrien's rage and jealousy consumed him and he snuck up behind Nathaniel. Just as Nathaniel approached the first step on the stairs, Adrien shoved him hard. Nathaniel went flying, falling down the stairs and hitting every step on the way down. Adrien ran from the top of the stairs before he was spotted by anyone. Some of the staff who were still in the building heard the crash and came out of their rooms to see Nathaniel lying in a heap on the floor and no one else around. They rushed to Nathaniel, who clearly had several broken bones, and sent him straight to the hospital. Adrien watched from an empty classroom, feeling satisfied in getting revenge on Nathaniel for taking Luka from him. And he hadn't been caught. No one had seen him, not even Nathaniel. Or so Adrien thought.
What Adrien hadn't seen was Marinette standing downstairs, on the other side of the courtyard, with a perfect view of what happened. She had noticed how Adrien had been glaring at Nathaniel lately. Adrien looked like he wanted to kill Nathaniel most days, and so when Marinette saw him approaching Nathaniel from behind, she grabbed her phone and started to record, just in case. And it was a good thing she did too, because she caught Adrien pushing Nathaniel down the stairs on video. No one else saw what had happened, and Marinette was the only one with any proof. She wouldn't let Adrien get away with this.
Nathaniel ended up breaking one of his legs and one of his arms. He also had a concussion and a fractured rib from the fall. Everything hurt and all he felt like doing was cry. Luka was there every step of the way, and stayed with Nathaniel in the hospital while he recovered. Luka would play the guitar, play games, help him come up with new ideas for his comic book, anything to distract Nathaniel from the pain. Nathaniel would spend two weeks in the hospital before he was released, and the entire time he was there, he was doted on by Luka.
Marinette waited a day after what happened, to see if maybe Adrien would come to his senses and confess to what happened. But he didn't. The school didn't have any proof that Nathaniel was pushed so they just called it an accident. And Adrien was fine with letting them. So, Marinette went to confront him after school one day. She waited until he was done with fencing and they could be alone. She wanted to confront him, but also try to get him to come clean, not wanting to give up hope on her friend and think the worst of him. Before she went into the locker room, she started recording video on her phone, and made sure to hold it so it wouldn't look like she was recording. Then she opened the door and approached Adrien.
"Adrien, we need to talk. I saw what you did to Nathaniel." Adrien froze for a second, before giving Marinette a dazzling smile. "What are you talking about? I didn't do anything to him?" Marinette shook her head, "Yes, you did. I saw you push him down the stairs. You walked behind him and shoved him down the stairs. And I got the whole thing on video. Why did you do it Adrien? You need to come clean and tell Mr. Damocles what happened. If you don't I will." Adrien face darkened considerably. Gone was the kind boy she knew, and he was now giving her a very threatening look. Before Marinette knew what hit her, Adrien punched her in the face, knocking her to the floor. "You want to know why? He got in my way. He took away any chance I had with Luka, so I hurt him like he hurt me. And if you get in my way, I will do the same thing to you. Don't you dare tell anyone about what happened, or this either!"
Adrien stormed out of the locker room, leaving Marinette on the floor. He didn't know that she had recorded the whole conversation. Marinette, stunned by what had just happened, sat on the floor for a moment. When she collected herself, she went straight home where she knew she was safe. She then set up a group chat with the whole class, except for Adrien, and made sure to include Luka as well. She told them everything about what she saw and what had just happened. She also sent them the two videos as proof. The group chat was filled with angry messages when they saw everything Adrien had done. Pushing Nathaniel down the stairs, punching Marinette, and threatening her too. The class and Luka especially were ready to go to the Agreste Mansion and beat some sense into Adrien. But Marinette talked them out of committing a felony and instead they planned to go to the school.
They all got there early and asked to speak to Mrs. Bustier and Mr. Damocles in Mr. Damocles office. They showed them both the videos and told them everything. They were horrified to see what Adrien had said and done. As soon as Adrien arrived at school, he was pulled into Mr. Damocles office and was shown the evidence. Mr. Agreste was also present through a video call and saw the two videos taken of his son. Adrien was suspended for a month, the maximum amount of time Mr. Damocles could suspend him with out approval from the school board. When he was back at the mansion, he was informed that he was grounded for that same amount of time, at the least.
After his suspension was lifted, Adrien was still grounded, his father having decided to extend his punishment a while longer. He was only allowed to go to school and come home, nothing else. Even his fencing lessons were conducted at home. Adrien had began feeling guilty for what he had done, so one day, he hung back after school for just a minute. Nathaniel was never alone anymore, especially if Adrien was around. Luka would always come walk him home after school now. So when they heard someone call Nathaniel's name and they turned, seeing Adrien walk up to them after school, Luka looked ready to hit him, not that Adrien would blame him. Adrien apologized for what he did, and made it very clear that he was truly sorry for what he had done. "Can you ever forgive me Nathaniel?" Nathaniel just stared for a moment, before turning his back on Adrien, facing the exit again. "I'm not sure Adrien. And if I do, it will take a long time. A simple apology doesn't fix this. I am not sure I will ever fully forgive you for this." With that said, Luka and Nathaniel walked out of the school, leaving Adrien crying in the courtyard, wondering how he could have been such a monster.

Miraculous Ladybug Prompt: Marinette, due to the many pressures and stress in her life, has to start taking prescribed anxiety medication. Lila sees her take one of the pills and tries to start a rumor that shes taking drugs, but unlike the outrage she expected(angry, disgusted, ect) the class has a brain cell that day and decides to have an intervention. When it comes out what the pill really was, Marinette gets reassured that taking her medicine is important, and they don't think shes weak for needing it.
Esentally it's about Mental health, being okay with needing medication, and how taking your medicition is important for your health and safety.
Possibly includes Bipolar!Nath, ADD!Kim, or maybe Adrien realising he may need help with depression.
