ok look

NO NUKES is a 1st steps position with leftism, one of the foundations.

It's definitely definitely not just the bombs, it's the energy facilities also. Equally if not primarily, because of:

inextricable from the weapons industry

permanently lethal plutonium

genocide of indigenous people and destruction of their lands

every nuclear facility is a military target

every point there is complex & inarguable, every facility is guilty of it, and no amount of reassurance can do anything but add to the weight of each one. In every situation or instance involving nuclear technology, all four of those points are involved.

there are no pro-nuke leftists. whatever else you want to bypass in order to unify, that's not on the acceptable list. these aren't speculative points. if you're a leftist you're deeply against the use and proliferation of all forms of nuclear technology. the only action that has any merit is safe decommissioning & dismantling.

what to do with extant waste & radioactive materials is way, way beyond me. I know environmental hazard engineers who say the same goddamn thing.
