In the wake of the cancellation of Warrior Nun, I am imploring anyone who has Disney+ to watch Willow (2022).
It features a woman loving woman romantic subplot at the forefront, meaning it’s not in the subtext. Episode 1 has them kiss and afterward the lines of romance exist so throughout the narrative for these two characters that it is current and seen to the point that it cannot be argued away.
But there’s next to no buzz for it, only the Disney+ app really promotes it as something to watch with the odd ad showing up on Instagram of the cast playing mini games.
On top of that, it is a well written show that holds all of the love of the original film from the 80s.
I know that it would appear that numbers don’t seem to matter, but I am begging people to watch this show because it is a fantastic piece of media that delights in paying homage to the source material it comes from.
Also hot women with swords. Hot women with swords who could KILL you-
to each their own of course i say this all lightheartedly but when ppl write eddie as like a mega famous award winning musician it just doesn’t ring true to me because like. to be THAT famous and mainstream enough to win grammys or whatever you have to campaign to award voters and you have to be media trained and you have to be willing to comply with good PR practices for the most part and i’m sorry but eddie is not doing that
Listen, I KNEW I was gonna cry during my first relisten of The Adventure Zone: Balance, but GOD I didn’t remember the Voidfish song happening so SOON—The Crystal Kingdom has always been my favorite arc and it makes me so emotional hearing the music again in context
Maggie: Dad, we love you, but we don’t want to go to Bard Camp with you this year.
Eddie: ……..
Maggie: Dad?
Livvy: Are you upset?
Eddie: …No. *sniffles*
Maggie: Then what was that sniff?
Eddie: Sniff? What sniff? I’m actually relieved. The day that I’ve been dreading, the day that you two finally out grow me has finally arrived and I’m handling it really well.
Maggie: Dad are you crying?
Eddie: *crying* No.
Livvy: Are you sure you’re okay?
Eddie: *still crying* Yep.
Maggie: Oh my God, he is crying.
Livvy: I’ve never seen Dad cry before.
Maggie: *starts crying* But Dad, if you start crying, I’ll cry!
