All of my mom's previous cell phones that she still owns. Remember back when service providers would stamp their logo on your phone? what cruelty was that? just another reminder that you were locked into their contract I guess.

“Disappointing Outing.”
Here’s Junior, angry squatting. The outing that day was quite lackluster and she was just as displeased.

You must inform me if this new phone of yours is a good investment, I currently have Samsung cause I am accident prone and Iphones are too weak to exist in the same space as me ( it took a military grade phone case for my current phone to survive my inherent clumsiness), but I want earphone jacks back
Ok so I've held off on this ask until I had the phone for a few days so I could have some time to use it.
For context, my last phone was a Samsung S10e. This new one is a Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G.
Pros of the new one:
Headphone jack my beloved (obviously)
The stylus is actually pretty cool and literally tucks right into the phone
Cheaper than my old phone (I actually got a new line deal cause my dad just switched us to T-Mobile so I got this phone for $18 but it's normally $300)
Pretty good specs for a cheap phone (128 gigs of storage and 6 gigs of RAM)
Cons of the new one:
Slower processor than my last phone...everything takes longer from booting up to connecting to the Android Auto in my car
Big and bulky (this one is like an inch taller than my old one lol)
The phone comes with so much fucking bloatware but you can go through and delete/disable most of it
The headphone quality through the jack is a little staticky
Undecided:
Idk how I feel about the UI and menus and stuff yet. There are some things that are better on this phone and some things that are worse.
Honestly, for the price point, it's not a bad phone. My old phone was like twice the normal retail price of the new phone and that was back in 2020. But if you're used to the latest and greatest it might feel like a downgrade.

A white lineart self portrait on a black background, drawn by me in about 5 minutes.
The tools used were my Moto G Stylus 5G phone, the Sketchbook App, and the stylus that came with the phone itself. Outside of a quick anime-esq looking face I drew last night, this is the first time I’ve drawn anything in 5ish years.

I've been purchasing Google phones since they started with the Nexus series and their collaborations with different manufacturers. I then switched to Pixel. Had the 2, 3a then 5a. Recently I had the BSOD issue with the 5a, I reached out to Google, 5 weeks after my 1 year warranty ended. They said they would repair it. Today I got a diagnosis alert and they are saying it's a screen issue and power issue. It's $349 for a refurbished device.
So right now I am using a moto g stylus 5G (2022) and am pretty happy. The camera isn't that great compared to the pixel, but overall it seems to be a solid device for $299.
After this I am done with the pixel line. I had the same issue with my 3a but it at least lasted 26 months. Then purchased the 5a and at 13.5 months it's dead.
Anyways.
