#s.txt #s.poem #mom tag #poetry #okay to reblog #it's officially been over a year since the last time i saw my mom. #her skin was translucent paper thin and she looked so fragile in tht hospital bed but she was supposed to be getting better #and she did. for about a month. #she went back into the hospital 3 days after my birthday. #she stayed there for like 2 weeks and then died about a week after she checked herself out. #the last time she ever texted me was on my birthday. i waited two days to text back. and i never heard back from her. #the next time i saw her she was a pile of grey ashes in a plastic urn. she sits on my shelf now. i haven't gotten her a new urn yet. #i try not to feel guilty. there wasn't much i could do from a thousand miles away #but i still feel the guilt every day itching under my skin and screaming at me in my mind that i should have done better #that i should have been there for her #her phone number has since been given to someone else. i deactivated her facebook account. i cleaned out her apartment & threw away almost #all of her belongings. #i took photo albums. i took some jewelry - including the ring she wore as she was cremated. it survived the fire. the funeral home put it #in the urn with her ashes. i wear it sometimes just to feel like there's still a part of her with me. #but she's gone and i don't believe in an afterlife and neither did she #there's some comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain that she is no longer suffering #but i still sit here and i think of all the things i never got to tell her and the new things i want to tell her every single day #i never got to come out to her. not really. i never got to tell her that i understood what she went thru with my dad because i lived it too #anyways. sorry for going off in the tags. i'm okay i promise. just feeling a lot of feelings right now.

not to trauma dump on main but as a result of my mom operating on levels of paranoia and fears that i think only shrimp can perceive, throughout the course of my childhood, i was told to pretend to be a boy for convenience's sake --- she very begrudgingly let me enter a mail-in nintendo sweepstakes to win free stuff (her penny-pinching outweighed at least some paranoia) however on the submission form i had to enter "male" --- because "if anybody sees that a girl lives here then they're going to send someone to our house and---" etc etc you get the idea, anyway, another cool thing she taught me was that the whales in the ocean 150 miles from our house had supernatural hearing and could hear us when we were loud and annoying in the car and it made them very upset.

That was horrible me: no, he does! it hasn't been renewed yet but he's already started working on the third season. if it doesn't get renewed i'll be very mad because they cannot end like that mom: Really?? me: yeah! the strike is complicating things but hopefully there will be one more season. i just can't believe gabriel and beelzebub got to run off to alpha centauri while aziraphale left crowley to go be supreme archangel. he has to come back 😭 mom: I can't handle that ending. How could he leave, especially after that kiss. I thought when the guy mentioned the 2nd coming that would change his mind me: there's a theory that the metatron basically drugged him to make him agree. other people have talked about abuse and love bombing. the one i agree with most is that he's trying to make things better for everyone and decided that that's more important than his and crowley's happiness. either way, i suspect he'll change his mind mom: There could be some drugging, but I agree with you, he will use his new power to stop something, then try to get with Crowley. Hopefully he doesn't self destruct first. But really, there will be a season 3?? me: we don't know for sure yet but i'm like 90% sure there will be. if not, a lot of people (ourselves included) will be very very angry mom: I'm just going to block out the whole season2 until there is a season 3. me: sounds good

so my mom was telling me about this dream/fantasy (you know when you're like half asleep so you're kind of in control but not fully? one of those) that she had last night. basically she was a special american correspondent on the graham norton show. and one day she got to meet the man she's in love with, david tennant. they went out to dinner and had a great time, apparently.

so i know tumblr isn't really the audience for this but i am a millennial and i Must Blog

my son was born the other day and i tell you what, second children come faster, but labor is still labor. woof. thankfully he's cute as hell (newborns look like crumpled up wet socks, dont worry, primate brains usually have an override when it's yours) and our first is very interested despite being two. it's all very adorable. 10/10 if you want kids and have the ability to do so it's pretty fucken swell
