An AU where those that wield the elements of harmony are marked to become immortals in one way or another. Be it willingly to preserve the balance of the world like Celestia and Luna, or forced. There is always going to be at least one of the elements that fall to corruption, be it permanently or temporarily. Luna fell to corruption between her and her sister, and it theorized that Discord and Sombra were once elements of harmony as well that fell to corruption. It is unknown how long ago if this is true, and if it's possible they were once elements of harmony with the two sisters.

Optional additions-

both in canon comics and cartoon, Rarity fell to corruption by both leftover darkness from nightmare moon and the book inspiration manifestation. So canonically there is something to work with! I like think Rarity would be a draconequis like Discord. Because of the book, if you've seen one of my previous prompts of Discord becoming a draconequis Because of the book inspiration manifestation and its corrupting magic. Rarity would probably be similar to Discord magic wise as an immortal. Probably being of inspiration and creativity.

I think it would be neat if Rainbow Dash becomes the alicorn or draconequis of weather, having to save Ponyville from the Ever Frees expanding uncontrollable magic and weather conditions. Probably getting help from Fluttershy and Apple Jack, the two of them becoming the immortals of life and Earth respectively from keeping the ever free creatures and plant life in control.

I think it would be interesting if Twilight Sparkle ascended last. Becoming more and more confused and distressed by her lack of ascension compared to her friends. If she's destined to ascend, why isn't she? Is something wrong?

I'm not sure for Pinkie Pie actually. I think she would be a good alicorn/draconequis of death I guess! Guiding souls to the after life, keeping them calm, making sure they know everything is going to be okay. It's her talent to cheer others up, I think she would be really good at guidance into the afterlife. She would be Fluttershy's opposite and equal if Fluttershy ends up being life.

This is ebony though!! She was the princess of judgement and order, controlled the government part essentially.. of course she was a horridly apathetic woman who would execute someone over something as minor as stealing for a family to eat.. yeah. We made her the one to requested the rainbow factory as a backwards way of weeding out the weaklings without causing mass panic. Anyhow she was banished to Tartarus for her horrendous ways by celestia for a near millennium.
