The Marshall Field and Company Building is known for its two exterior clocks, which weigh about 7.5 short tons (6.7 long tons) each, on its northwest and southwest corners along State Street at both Randolph and Washington Streets. The southwest clock at the original Washington Street intersection, known as “The Great Clock”, was installed on November 26, 1897.

Days 83- 86

Visited Chicago for the first time ever. My boyfriend was flown out for a conference so I decided to tag along and explore the city on a budget! It was definitely freezing but I still had fun. Some of the highlights included: Eating a steak dinner at Bavette's, seeing Lake Michigan, the gothic architecture, and finally seeing Cloud Gate!

I grew up on vhs tapes. Also, my first console was a sega genesis. No, I'm not that old.

I went to a flea market for my 18th birthday.

Half the houses on my street are abandoned.

I'm wanting to start seriously working on my Pokemon region. I've had idea for a fan region based on the midwestern US for probably 8ish years now, but now I have money to make it happen. I've already commissioned art for the regional Pika-clone and the dog-based mon for the region. I have a good idea for the regional bird, but I'm really struggling with starter Pokemon. So if anyone is from the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) and you have suggestions, please let me know!

I originally was going to do a grass/ dark raccoon, but another person I follow did that. And with Meowscarada being the latest grass starter, I think I want to do something different. The Pika-clone is electric/grass and the dog is ground then ground/fighting. The regional bird is going to end up being ghost/flying. If that helps anyone with type combos.
