THE KINDEST PEOPLE
The kindest people are not born that way, they are made. They are the souls that have experienced so much at the hands of life, they are the ones who have dug themselves out of the dark, who have fought to turn every loss into a lesson. The kindest people do not just exist - they choose to soften where circumstance has tried to harden them, they choose to believe in goodness, because they have seen firsthand why compassion is so necessary. They have seen firsthand why tenderness is so important in this world. They practice as much mercy as they can, because they know that the more kind they are to the creation of Allah, the more the goodness of Allah will grown around them.

Allah calls Himself Ar-Rahmaan— The Most Gracious, the intensely Merciful— on 55 occassions in the Quran and 133 times in the basmalah. Ar-Rahmaan is the One whose intense and perfect Mercy embraces the whole creation!
The Most Gracious, Most Lovingly Beneficent
Rahmaan comes from the root raa-haa-meem, which points to four main meanings. The first meaning is to have gentleness and to love, and the second is to have mercy. The third meaning is to show favour, and the fourth meaning is to have all that is required for beneficence.
This root appears 339 times in the Quran in nine derived forms. Examples of these forms are rahima (“bestows mercy”), al-arhaam (the wombs”) and rahmatan (“mercy”).
Linguistically, rahmaan shows intensity (thus the ending is –aan). For example ghadbaan means extremely angry. Ar-Rahmaan points out to the intensity, abundance, and vastness of the mercy (rahmah) of Allah ‘azza wajal, and the attribute of grace is inseperable from the Almighty.
Allah first mentioned His name – Allah – that is exclusively His and described this name by Ar-Rahmaan, which no one else is allowed to use, just as Allah said, Say (O Muhammad) invoke Allah or invoke Ar-Rahmaan, by whatever name you invoke Him (it is the same), for to Him belong the Best names. [Quran, 17:110] [Tafseer ibn Katheer]
Ar-Rahmaan Himself says: [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful . . . [Quran, 41:2] That Day, no intercession will benefit except [that of] one to whom the Most Merciful has given permission and has accepted his word. [Quran, 20:109]
The mercy of Allah
Explaining the mercy of Allah, ar-Rahmaan, the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: Allah has divided mercy into 100 parts, and He retained with Him 99 parts, and sent down to earth one part. Through this one part creatures deal with one another with compassion, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof over its young lest it should hurt it. [Al-Bukharee] Be amazed at the fact that the other 99 parts are yet to come and they are with Allah Himself. You will not enter Jannah because of your deeds, but by the rahmah of Allah only.
The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam also said, When Allah created the creatures, He wrote in the Book, which is with Him over His Throne: Verily, My Mercy prevailed over My Wrath. [Al-Bukharee]
How can you live by this name?
1. Never despair.
No matter how many sins you commit, He can have mercy on you if you just turn to Ar-Rahmaan. Every mistake or sin is an opportunity and a sign that it’s time to get closer to Him! Whenever you commit a sin, call Him by this name to have mercy on you and remind yourself of one of the most optimistic ayaat in the Quran: Say, O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful. [Quran 39:53].
2.Be merciful to others.
Be merciful to not only the needy but also to your family if you want the mercy of Ar-Rahmaan! The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to the people. [Al-Bukharee] The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam gave a simple formula on how to deal with others: Whoever wishes to be delivered from the fire and enter the garden should die with faith in Allah and the Last Day and should treat the people as he wishes to be treated by them. [Muslim] So no matter how big or small, think how you would like to be treated in the same situation.
3.Keep family ties.
Be active in being in touch with your family: regularly visit, call, and exchange gifts, and never abandon your family. The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: . . The womb (rahm) is derived from the Merciful, so whoever keeps relations with his family then Allah will keep relations with him, and whoever abandons his family then Allah will abandon him. [At-Tirmidhee] Be the first to make up after an argument. The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: It is not permitted for a Muslim to forsake his brother for more than three (days); whoever does this and dies, he will enter Hell. [Abu Dawud]
4. Be good to your parents.
Daily ask Ar-Rahmaan to have mercy on your parents! Ar-Rahmaan instructs you: And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], “uff,” and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, “My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small. [Quran, 17:23-24]
5. Recognize mercy and be grateful.
Reflect upon Allah’s mercy when you see all the blessings around you; food, water, oxygen. Only Ar-Rahmaan can make it rain and He made the rain sweet and not salty. When you love someone or are loved, know that this feeling was manifested by the mercy of Allah. Think about the mercy of Ar-Rahmaan in sending the Prophet Muhammad salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam to you, and be intensely happy and grateful to have such a merciful Lord.
Note: We have to be careful if translating the names of Allah ‘azza wa jall into a different language. The name Ar-Rahmaan is most commonly translated as The Most Merciful, The Entirely Merciful, The Most Gracious.
O Allah, Ar-Rahmaan, we know that Your mercy is perfect. Let us never despair of Your mercy, guide us to be merciful to others, to maintain our family ties, and to seek Your pleasure. Enable us to reflect on Your mercy around us, adorn us with gratefulness, and enter us into Paradise by Your mercy, ameen!

Islam’s Call to Unity and Compassion
Tumblr media
Muslims as Global Citizens
In Islam, the concept of global citizenship transcends geographical boundaries, showing the interconnectedness of humanity under the divine umbrella of God’s creation. Muslims are encouraged to recognise their role as stewards of the earth and as members of a global community, irrespective of cultural or national affiliations. By adhering to the principles of justice, mercy, and compassion, Muslims strive to embody the values of global citizenship in their interactions with others, regardless of their background or beliefs.
Quran (49:13) — “O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.”
Bridging Cultural Divides
Islam promotes the celebration of cultural diversity as a manifestation of God’s divine wisdom and creativity. Muslims are encouraged to appreciate and respect the richness of different cultures, recognizing them as a testament to the beauty and variety of God’s creation. By fostering dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect between cultures, Islam promotes harmony and cooperation, transcending barriers of ignorance and prejudice.
Feeling at Home Anywhere
Muslims view the entire world as belonging to God, recognising that every corner of the earth is infused with His divine presence. This perspective instills a sense of belonging and connectedness wherever Muslims may find themselves, whether in their homeland or in a foreign land. By embracing this worldview, Muslims can navigate the complexities of cultural differences with ease and grace, finding comfort and solace in the knowledge that they are always in God’s embrace.
Hadith (Sahih Muslim) — “The whole earth has been made a mosque and a means of purification for us.”
In Islam, the notion of global citizenship is not merely a philosophical concept but a lived reality, guiding Muslims to embody the principles of unity, compassion, and tolerance in their daily lives. By embracing these universal values, Muslims contribute to the creation of a more inclusive, harmonious, and interconnected world, where the dignity and rights of all individuals are respected and upheld. Is no wonder Muslims are among the most hospitable people around the world, from Morocco to Indonesia and Muslim communities worldwide, one will be treated to Islamic hospitality.

Allāh's mercy is evident in all aspects of creation. From the sun that provides warmth and light to the rain that nourishes the earth, everything in the universe is a manifestation of Allāh's boundless compassion.
Even when we make mistakes or stray from the path of righteousness, Allāh's mercy is always there, waiting for us to return to Him. He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Compassionate, and He always welcomes those who seek His forgiveness.
"Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allāh. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'"

10 Inspiring Quran Quotes on Marriage for a Strong and Lasting Relationship":
Marriage in Islam can be summarized as a sacred union between a man and a woman, established with the intention of forming a family based on mutual love, respect, and cooperation. In Islam, marriage is considered to be a highly valued and significant institution, as it provides a framework for individuals to fulfill their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs in a lawful and respectful manner.
Islamic marriage is viewed as a contract between two consenting parties, with the aim of achieving mutual happiness and harmony. The marriage contract outlines the rights and responsibilities of both spouses, and is based on the principles of honesty, transparency, and fairness. Additionally, Islam places great emphasis on the importance of affection, compassion, and kindness between spouses, and encourages them to build a strong and enduring bond based on mutual respect and trust.
Furthermore, Islam encourages the creation of a stable and nurturing environment for children, and sees marriage as the foundation for a healthy and functional family. In this regard, Islam promotes the values of family solidarity, loyalty, and cooperation, and seeks to establish a society that is founded on strong and healthy family relationships. In summary, marriage in Islam is viewed as a sacred and cherished institution, founded on the principles of love, respect, and mutual benefit. It is a union that is established with the intention of fulfilling the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of both spouses, and providing a stable and nurturing environment for children to grow and thrive.

The abundance of Allah's mercy.
Quran:-
"Say : O My worshipers , who have sinned excessively against themselves , do not despair of the Mercy of Allah , surely , Allah forgives all sins . He is theForgiver , the Most Merciful" .
"Yet My mercy embraces all things".
"Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful".
Hadeeth:-
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger ﷺ as saying,
“When God completed the creation He wrote the following which is with Him above His Throne, ‘My mercy has taken precedence over my anger’.” A version says, “Has prevailed over my anger.”
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Another narration is: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah has one hundred mercies, out of which He has sent down only one for jinn, mankind, animals and insects, through which they love one another and have compassion for one another; and through it, wild animals care for their young. Allah has retained ninety-nine mercies to deal kindly with His slaves on the Day of Resurrection."
Verily Allah ta’ala has written down the good deeds and the evil deeds, and then explained it [by saying]:
“Whosoever intended to perform a good deed, but did not do it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as a complete good deed. And if he intended to perform it and then did perform it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as from ten good deeds up to seven hundred times, up to many times multiplied. And if he intended to perform an evil deed, but did not do it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as a complete good deed. And if he intended it [i.e., the evil deed] and then performed it, then Allah writes it down as one evil deed.” [Al-Bukhari] [Muslim].
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
“If anyone says there is no god but God and dies in that belief, he will enter paradise.” I asked, “Even if he commits fornication and even if he steals?” He replied, “Even if he commits fornication and even if he steals.” I asked, “Even if he commits fornication and even if he steals?” He replied, “Even if he commits fornication and even if he steals.” I asked, “Even if he commits fornication and even if he steals?” He replied, “Even if he commits fornication and even if he steals, in spite of Abu Dharr.” When Abu Dharr told this he said, “Even if Abu Dharr’s pride is humbled.

❛Chapter 25 of the Holy Quran, Surah al-Furqan, portrays the attributes of Ibad Ar-Rahman, also known as The Faith Servants of the Most Merciful. Allah Almighty draws a beautiful comparison between the stars in the sky with the duties of His servants on Earth in verses 61-77.
According to Imam Bukhari in his Saheeh, Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala created the stars for three purposes: as an adornment of the sky, a cast [to drive away] Shaytan, and as a guide. Narrating it differently than these three reasons leads to errors, unhappiness, and acquiring unknown knowledge.
Similarly, the Ibad Ar-Rahman carry out three essential tasks on Earth.
The first task is to offer guidance based on the teachings of the Quran and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The second task is to beautify the religion of Islam through their exemplary character, embodying values such as honesty, kindness, generosity, and compassion. The final task is to protect the religion from distortions and false interpretations by speaking out against innovations and devious scholars.
In today's world, where people are lost, confused, and searching for answers, the guidance offered by Ibad Ar-Rahman is crucial. They follow the example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who was sent as a mercy to all of humanity.
Their good character is a critical aspect of their service to Allah. They strive to please Allah and serve His creations, not motivated by personal gain or self-interest.
Lastly, Ibad Ar-Rahman plays a vital role in protecting the religion of Islam from deviations and innovations. They speak out against those who seek to distort the teachings of Islam, serving as the guardians of the authentic message of Islam.
In conclusion, the comparison between the stars in the sky and Ibad Ar-Rahman in Surah al-Furqan highlights the essential role that the servants of the Most Merciful play in this world: by offering guidance, serving as an ornament to the religion of Islam through their excellent character, and protecting the religion from deviations.
May Allah guide us all to be among the Ibad Ar-Rahman and fulfill our duties with excellence and sincerity.❜
— Imam Karim AbuZaid

🍃🕊🍃 Rabiul Awal Month begins Dua
🍃 New Month Salat 🍃
The first night marks the outset of the hijrah, the beginning of the Islamic calendar. On this night the apostle of Allah began his migration by leaving Makah for Medina. During that night the prophet pursued by the infidels hid in the cave of soawr while Ali (as) risking his life in order to save that of the prophet (S) slept in the prophets (S) bed indifferent to the swords of the tribes of the infidels. By this act he manifested his merit and self-sacrificing devotion to his cousin the apostle of Allah and verse (22:07) was revealed
“And among the people is he who sells his soul seeking the pleasure of Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) is most kind to his servants”
Some scholars say that it is recommended to observe fasting on this day to express gratitude to Almighty Allah for His marvelous favor of having saved the Holy Prophet and Imam Ali ~ peace be upon them and their Household.

Glory be to Him in whose hand is the kingdom of all things and to Him you will be returned. “…glory to Him in Whose hands is the dominion of all things: and to Him will ye all be brought back.”14
Glory be to Him, but honorable servants. Glory be to Him. He is God, the One, the Supreme. “...Glory be to Him!” They are (but) servants raised to honor.”15
“…Glory be to Him! (He is above such things.) He is Allah, the One, the Irresistible.”16
Glory be to our Lord, indeed we have been wrongdoers “They said: “Glory be to our Lord!” Verily we have been doing wrong!””17
Glory be to your Lord, Lord of glory above what they describe, and peace be upon the messengers, and praise be to God, Lord of the worlds. “Glory be to Your Lord, the Lord of Honor and Power! (He is free) from what they subscribe (to Him)! And Peace on the apostles! And Praise to God!, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. “18
O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad (S), and make us know the blessings and prosperity of this month, and grant us its goodness, and turn away from us its evil.
O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (S).
Please let me know the blessedness of this month and its having good omen.
O‟ God! Please bless us with its abundant goodness, and protect us from any evil.
And make us among the winners of your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
Please let us be among the saved ones during it.
By Your Mercy! O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful!

Iqbal Aamal - The following supplications are found in Al-Mukhtasar min al-Muntakhab for the beginning of the month of Rabi ul-Awwal

You are the One who does not dispute the power, and you are the Possessor of glory and light. You encompass all things in mercy and knowledge.
And You are the One who has no challenge in what You destine.

Your Mercy and Knowledge has encompassed everything.
And You are the Everlasting, Dominant, Almighty.
And You are the Upright! The Perpetual! The Guardian! The one who destines!
My God, I am still begging a poor and poor person to You, so make all my affairs connected to the confidence of relying on You, the goodness of returning to You, and being satisfied with Your destiny. And certainty in You and entrustment to You
O my God! I have always been a poverty stricken, poor beggar at Your Door.
Please let all my affairs be connected to good reliance upon You, good return to You and being content with Your destination, certitude to You, and trusting You.
Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, You are the Knowing, the Wise.
“Glory be to You, of knowledge We have none, save what You have taught us: In truth it is You Who are perfect in knowledge and wisdom.”1
Glory be to Him. Rather, to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Each has His own “Glory be to Him.- Nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: everything renders worship to Him.”2
Glory be to You, save us from the torment of the Fire. Glory be to You, I have turned to You and I am the first of the believers.
“Glory be to you!” Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.”3
“Glory be to You! To You I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe.”4
Glory be to You, You are our guardian besides them. Glory be to God, Lord of the worlds. “They will say, ‘Glory be to You! Our (tie) is with You – as Protector – not with them…”5
“Glory be to God!, the Lord of the Worlds.”6
Glory be to God, and I am not of the polytheists. Glory be to God for what they associate with Him. “Glory be to God!” And never will I join gods with Allah.”7
“...Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him!”8
Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Aqsa Mosque, whose surroundings We have blessed to show him of Our signs. Indeed, it is He who is the All-Hearing, the All - Seeing. “Glory be to Allah Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things).”9
Glory be to God, when evening comes and morning, and to Him is praise in the heavens and the earth and in the evening and when you appear. He brings out the living from the dead, and brings the dead out of the dead. The Living One, and He revives the earth after its death, and thus you will be brought out. “So (give) glory to God!, when ye reach eventide and when ye rise in the morning; Yea, to Him be praise, in the heavens and on earth; And in the late afternoon and when the day begins to decline. It is He Who brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living, and Who gives life to the earth after it is dead: and thus shall ye be brought out (from the dead).”10
Glory be to Him and Most High above what they associate with Him. Glory be to Him and Most High above what they say, great exaltation. Glory be to our Lord, if the promise of our Lord is to be fulfilled.
“Glory be to Him!” High is He above the Partners they attribute to Him!”11
“Glory be to Him! He is high above all that they say!- Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!”12
They said: “Glory be to our Lord! Truly has the promise of our Lord been fulfilled!”13

Are Cats allowed on the Prayer Mat?
Tumblr media
As-Salam-u-Alaikum wa-rahmatullahi wa-barakatuh ("Peace be unto you and so may the mercy of Allah and his Blessings")!
"Surely Allah will admit a woman into paradise because she gave a thirsty dog to drink by taking water from a well with his shoe."
Islam, a religion built on principles of compassion and respect for all living beings, places significant importance on the welfare of animals. In this blog post, we will delve into the role animals play in Islam, exploring their rights, the ethical treatment they deserve, and the responsibilities Muslims have towards them. We will also look especially at how cats are regarded in Islam.
The Rights of Animals in Islam
Animals, both domestic and wild, have inherent rights in Islam. Islam recognizes that all animals are part of Allah’s (subhanahu wa ta'ala) creation and should be treated with care and respect. According to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), animals deserve to be treated well, provided with food and water, and protected from harm. Inflicting unnecessary harm upon animals is strictly forbidden. Muslims cannot hunt for sport, abuse or neglect an animal, overwork animals, encourage animal fighting, etc.
Islamic practices go beyond recognizing the rights of animals; they actively promote their welfare. When slaughtering animals for food, Islam has specific guidelines to ensure their well-being and minimize suffering. There are strict rules to make the food “halal,” or permitted. For example, Muslims must ensure the knife is as sharp as possible and that no other animals witness the killing. Throughout the process, Muslims must ensure that they practice mercy towards the animal. This humane approach reflects Islam's emphasis on compassion and respect. Muslims are encouraged to consume only halal meat.
Cats in Islam
Cats hold a special place in Islam and are highly regarded for their companionship and cleanliness. According to Islamic tradition, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had a deep affection for cats. Prophet Muhammad (pease be upon him) had a favorite cat named Muezza. One day, when the Adhan, or call to prayers, played, Muezza was asleep on the Prophet’s robes. Rather than disrupt Muezza’s slumber, the Prophet cut off part of his robes to leave her to sleep in peace. If anyone has ever had a cat asleep on their lap, they probably know the feeling of not wanting to awaken that sleeping angel.
Speaking of angels, some believe that having a cat allows angels to enter the home! Not to speak ill of your favorite pooch, but dogs have the opposite effect. According to a Hadith, the Prophet said that angels do not enter homes where dogs are present.
Additionally, Cats are considered clean animals in Islam. According to tradition, Muslims are allowed to perform wudu, or ritual cleaning, with water cats have drank out of, or eat off a plate that a cat has eaten off of. Because of their cleanliness, cat s are allowed in sacred spaces, like a mosque or on the prayer mat. A cat sitting or rolling on your prayer mat mid-Salah, or prayer, does not interrupt your prayer.
However, it is important to note that while cats are appreciated in Islam, they are not considered sacred. Muslims do not worship cats. To do so would actually be a great sin.
Conclusion
Animals hold a cherished place in Islam, with their well-being and rights highly valued. We as Muslims must treat animals with kindness, compassion, and respect, recognizing their fundamental rights to be treated well and protected from harm. Cats specifically hold a special place in Islam. By adhering to these teachings, Muslims can contribute to a more compassionate world, where the rights of all living beings, including animals, are acknowledged and protected.

In these turbulent times as Muslims it is quite necessary for us to reaffirm with our brothers and sisters affected in Palestine and pray and help them as much as we can.
Penned a few lines.....do read
I pour my heart's emotions, words intertwined.
In a world where trials and tears do reside,
As a Muslim, my faith is my constant guide.
From Mecca's sacred sands to Jerusalem's gate,
In my heart, I carry the stories of fate.
For peace, I pray, in lands torn apart,
A prayer that's etched deep in this Muslim heart.
In the quiet of night, I seek Allah's embrace,
His mercy and love, in every space.
For my faith teaches love, compassion, and care,
For all God's creations, a burden we bear.
With patience and hope, I face each new dawn,
For as a Muslim, my faith makes me strong.
In this world of trials, emotions run deep,
But Allah's light guides my soul as I weep.
So let us unite, in faith and in prayer,
For a world where compassion, all souls can share.
As a Muslim, I stand, emotions run high,
With Allah's grace, love and peace, I'll imply.

[ WHO ARE THE JEWS ]
Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may ALLAH have mercy on him, said:
The angry nation, they are the "Jews", the people of lies, falsity, treachery, plotting and cunningness, the killing of the prophets and the eating of charity - which is fornication and adultery - the wicked of the nations folded, the wanted of them in a hurry, the kept them away from mercy, the closest to revenge, and their habit of hatred, and Only a believer without a blame. Neither those who agreed with them have a right nor compassion, (nor those who shared with them have justice nor fairness) nor those who mix them with reassurance or security, nor those who used them have an advice. Rather, their brains are mischievous, their deceitful, and their deceitfulness - and their ignorance is among them - they are not Jewish on the truth, the narrower of creation, their houses are darkened, their art is art, and their beasts are plagiarists, their greetings are a curse, and their meeting is a plane, their slogan is anger, and their revolt is disgusting.

Allah calls Himself Al-Majeed— The Glorious, The Most Honorable – on two occasions in the Quran. He’s the One Whose essence is pure and absolute perfect: His dazzling glory, dignity, nobility, honor and limitless compassion and generosity to us is without any fault or deficiency. All praise and glory is for Him only due to the perfection of His attributes and His deeds towards the creation!
The All-Glorious, the Majestic, and Most-Honourable

Majeed comes from the root meem-jeem-daal, which points out to the attribute of glory and honor (majd). Majd refers to a complete authority(sultan) and sovereignity (‘adhamah). This root includes the meanings of being glorious, dignified, majestic and exceedingly generous.
This root appears 4 times in the Quran as the adjective majeed (Glorious). One who is majeed is a very highly distinguished person, from honourable roots and often showing his favours to others. When applied to Allah (swt), it’s implied that He’s Al-Majeed – The All-Glorious and Honourable. He is vast in greatness, honor, respect, might and glory.
Al-Majeed Himself said: They said, “Are you amazed at the decree of Allah? May the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, people of the house. Indeed, He is Praiseworthy and Honorable. [Quran, 11:73] and Honorable Owner of the Throne [Quran, 85:15].
Al-Majeed related to other Names

The Name Al-Majeed is related in meaning to the combination of three other Beautiful Names, Al-Jaleel (the Majestic), Al-Kareem (The Generous) and Al-Wahhaab (The Bestower). Al-Majeed is majestic and beautiful in both His qualities and actions, He treats His slaves most generously and gives them gifts beyond any expectations demonstration His Greatness which deserves all praise!
The glorious Quran
Allah ‘azza wajal says: Qaaf. By the Quran that is majeed” [Quran, 50:1]. The Quran has the greatest status over all books that were sent down, it contains all the goodness of this world and the Hereafter and therefore it is the most honourable, respect, complete and perfect Book!
How Can You Live by This Name?
1.            Follow His book.
Know that you are a slave of One Who is Perfect so follow His Book, submit to His commands and stay away from His prohibitions. Learn to recite, understand and live by the Quran to increase yourself in dignity and honor!
2.            Praise Al-Majeed continuously.
Show Him you are grateful for His favors upon you and praise Him for His perfection. Abu Hamzah Albaghdady said:  It’s impossible for you to claim you love Allah and not praise him continuously, and it’s impossible that you praise Allah continuously and not see the sweetness of that in this life; and its impossible you see the sweetness of praising Allah and then be preoccupied with other than him. Not praising Al-Majeed continuously is even a sign of a hypocrite.
Allah ‘azza wajal said:  When the hypocrite stand up to worship they perform it languidly and to be seen of men, and they do not praise Allah but a little [Quran, 4:142]  There is no excuse for the dhikr (remembrance) of Al-Majeed: Remember Allah , standing, sitting and reclining [Quran, 4:103]!
3.            Treat others with respect.
Let the attribute of majd open your heart and treat others with forgiveness and patience. Speak kindly to others, smile to them and help other reconcile. Spend your blessings of wealth to help the less fornite and apart from your spending be humble and kind to them.
4.            Reflect on the creation of Al-Majeed.
The signs of Allah’s majd can be seen all around us, the whole universe and all it contains for our benefit is a demonstration of the vast Greatness and Generosity of Al-Majeed. When you go through difficulties and trials look around you and realize it is Al-Majeed Who just says Be and it is: … the handiwork of Allah Who has made everything thoroughly [Quran, 27:88] As He made everything around you and inside you, He can surely give you a way out of your problems!
5.            Memorize and live by this beautiful supplication.
When you start praying you say:  Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika
wa tabarakasmuka wa ta’aalaa jadduka wa laa ilaaha ghairuka, which means Glorified are You O Allah and with Your praise and blessed is Your Name and high is Your Majesty and there is no god other than You. The actual meaning of subhanaka is You are pure. You are free from any defect, deficiency or fault. Subhanaka Allahumma means also that whatever test of life that You have given me is perfectly alright. I don’t have any complaint against You. If we strengthen this feeling then we will have the strongest positive attitude!
 Wallahu ta’alaa ‘alem.
O Allah, Al-Majeed, we know that You are vast in Greatness, Might and Honour. Help us in reciting, understanding and acting upon Your glorious Book and make us of the dhaakireen, those who remember You continuously with a beautiful glory and praise. Make us respectful to others and in others eyes and inspire us to reflect upon Your signs, keep granting us honor through Islam and bestow upon us the honour of gazing upon Your Countenance in Paradise, ameen!

The Light of Humanity: Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Tumblr media
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) revolutionised society, leading a profound transformation in the realms of spirituality, ethics, and governance. His achievements include the establishment of social justice, the abolition of harmful practices, and the preservation of human dignity.
A Messenger of Compassion and Mercy:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) embodied the epitome of compassion and mercy towards all creation. His teachings demonstrated kindness, empathy, and forgiveness, setting a timeless example for humanity to follow.
Quran (21:107) — “And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.”
Hadith (Sahih Bukhari) — “I have been sent to perfect good character.”
The Epitome of Moral Excellence:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) exemplified moral excellence in every aspect of his life. His character was characterised by honesty, integrity, humility, and patience, earning him the title of Al-Amin (The Trustworthy) even before his prophethood by his community. When the revelation first came down, he had rushed back to his wife Khadija who consoled him and assured him that God would not punish such a noble and truthful man. Among many of the companions around him, they accepted him as a prophet of God due to his truthfulness and their belief he would never lie about such a matter.
Hadith (Sahih Muslim) — “The best among you are those who have the best manners and character.”
Beloved by All:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was deeply loved and revered by those around him. His companions held him in the highest esteem, cherishing his guidance, wisdom, and affectionate nature. Many had converted to Islam after their interactions with the prophet (PBUH). Those who rejected him wanted to preserve their old ways of living as they often profited from various pre-Islamic practices such as Idol worship.
Narrated by Anas bin Malik: “A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, ‘O Allah’s Messenger! Who is the most beloved person to you?’ The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘Aisha.’ The man then asked, ‘Among the men?’ The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, ‘Her father (Abu Bakr).’” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 73, Hadith 33)
A Model of Leadership and Humility:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was not only a spiritual guide but also a visionary leader. His leadership style was characterised by humility, consultation, and inclusivity, fostering unity and cohesion among diverse communities. He was not only humble in his actions and behavior but in his dress as well. Often times when an emissary visited the prophet they were not able to distinguish between him and his companions.
Hadith (Sahih Bukhari) — “Allah will elevate some people with this book (the Quran) and abase others.”
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stands as an exemplary example of moral virtue, guiding humanity towards righteousness, compassion, and justice. His life serves as a timeless beacon of hope and inspiration, illuminating the path towards a life of piety, humility, and service to others.

I ask from this point of view: I sometimes love my child very much (sincerely) but after that, I think whether I loved him extremely. Is it possible that Allah will not be pleased with it?
Love of Allah comes before everything. It is important in what sense and why you love something. It is a deed of worship to love something for Allah as a boon of Allah. From this point of view, it is necessary to regard our children, who are entrusted to us, as His grace and grant and to work legitimately in order to make them gain their worldly life and otherworldly life.
There are thousands of reasons why Allah gives love of children to all parents. It is a deed of worship to fulfill this love.
For instance, it is different to love a letter that one has received due to its paper and nice handwriting than to love it because it is something entrusted to him by the sender; similarly, it is different to love children based on one’s intention. It is nice to love them as boons of Allah. The criterion for loving them for Allah is to raise and educate them in the way that Allah wants.
Love of the Prophet comes after love of Allah. To love the Prophet means to love Allah. To love scholars, people of taqwa and benefactors is like that. For, one loves the beloved of the beloved too. The Messenger of the Beloved One is also loved. The one who loves the beloved is also loved. The real beloved one here is Allah. There is nobody except Him that deserves real love. We can explain it with an example:
The first thing one loves is his soul. To love one’s own soul means to want to continue living and not to like elimination. This characteristic is inborn in man. In fact, this feeling, which exists in man, necessitates loving Allah. For, one who knows himself and his Lord understands that the continuation and perfection of his life is based on Allah, not himself. It is Allah who created him out of nothing and who makes him live. For, among the beings, it is only Allah that exists as a necessity of His being and that does not need anything to exist. Everything except Him exists based on His power and creation. A person who knows it like that loves and has to love the one that created him and gave him everything he has. His love of his Lord originates from knowing Him.
Love is the fruit of knowledge. If there is no knowledge, there is no love. One loves his parents. Why does he love them? For, they are the reason for his creation. Besides, they raised and educated him. Therefore, one loves his parents. However, the one who creates man is Allah. It is He who makes parents a reason for his creation. It is also He who gives parents love of their children. He gives this love even to animals. The Prophet (pbuh) states the following:
"Allah divided mercy into one hundred parts. He retained with Him ninety-nine parts, and sent down to earth one part. Through this one part, creatures deal with one another with compassion so much so that an animal lifts its hoof over its young lest it should hurt it."
The Prophet (pbuh) loved children very much. He would take them on his lap, pat them and kiss them with compassion.
The Prophet kissed his grandsons, Hz. Hasan and Hz. Husayn too. When a man saw him kissing them, he said,
"I have ten children; I have not kissed any of them."The Prophet said,
«He who shows no mercy, will receive no mercy.» (Muslim, Fadail, 65; Tirmidhi, Birr wa Sila, 12)
When the Prophet (pbuh) performed a prayer, his beloved grandsons, Hasan and Husayn would climb up his shoulders. He would tolerate this act of children even when he performed a prayer; he would not prevent their games.
When he sat somewhere, he would get up when his daughter, Fatima, came, kiss her on the forehead and make her sit in his place. He loved not only his children and grandchildren but also other children; he would talk to them and loved them; he would give them things that they liked. He even loved the children of non-Muslims.
The Prophet were interested in children very much. Once, he organized a race among children. He stood at the place where the race would end. He loved the children who came to him by running and gave them gifts. (Ahmad b. Hanbal, Musnad, I/214)
The Prophet (pbuh) gave the following advice related to children:
«Fear Allah and treat your children fairly.» (Jamius-Saghir; Bukhari, Hiba, 8/26)
«Allah wants you to treat your children equally when you kiss them.» (ibid)
