i’m coming up on a year of hosting a creature sticker club and i’ve drawn over 200 animals so far!
here are some of the felids i’ve drawn this year. big cats (pantherinae) are distinct from small cats (felinae) in that big cats car roar! except for the snow leopard. taxonomy is a weird science.
lion, bengal tiger, jagarundi, jaguar, sand cat, geoffroy’s cat, snow leopard, fishing cat, cougar, canada lynx !
[ID: illustrations of the above listed felids, - individual image descriptions in the linked individual posts. end.]

A Lost Star Trek TV Special from 1975?
Video description;
Originally created in 1975, this television special, hosted by Leonard Nimoy, was a special airing of parts one and two of "The Menagerie" airing back to back with original segments by Nimoy.
While archiving a stack of vintage VHS tapes I discovered this television recording of the special which aired on Oklahoma City's KAUT-43 on February 6th, 1983.
Special thanks to D. Stone for source VHS tapes, The Retroist for his assistance, and Earl Green from TheLogBook.com for his video editing wizardry.

Weiss visiting Menagerie is actually really interesting.
Not just because she is a Schnee in the land of Faunus. But because of her colour palette, I imagine she would be like when full on pale white (ghost) people visit countries who have never seen that before and they are just a beacon of pictures and excited kids who have never seen something like this being kids. (**Cough** Blake watching her interact with them kindly **Cough**)
This feels like an alternative volume 4 but with Weiss there instead of Sun.
And the Ilia chase suddenly gets a lot scarier as well as her kidnapping attempt. Cause I imagine that would actually bridge out towards Weiss as well and they'd be more prepared in a way? Cause I bet they wouldn't miss on the opportunity.
Idk brain going brrrrrr again •-•
Blakey my queen, you are a genius
Very culture shock tho

Hypnovember 23: Prompt 30 "MENAGERIE"
"I can hear your heartbeat jump with every touch. It's cute to see how much you love this; being here... with us... with me."
Delayed, again... but at least the 30 days of prompts are over.
Considering the response I've had from the good Doc toying with Zoe and others in the, well, month, I only felt it appropriate that she'd get the final slot. :P
Enjoy! :)

Jakob Bogdani (Hungarian, c.1660-1724)
Asian Silkie Fowls and South American Parrot in an Imaginary Landscape, c. 1700-10
Oil on canvas, 86 1/2 x 45 1/4 in
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
🆔 the “South American Parrot” is a Blue-and-Yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna)
“Bogdani specialized in animal painting in an era when many wealthy Europeans paid large sums of money to obtain rare birds and other seemingly exotic animals from the far corners of the globe. As colonial empires were expanding at the turn of the 18th century, the traffic in species from remote locations was just another facet of the general fashion for foreign goods, such as food and luxury items, that asserted the international pretensions of the ruling classes of Europe.
As an artist who made his career in an international context, Bogdani was truly a man of his time. He was born in Hungary, but he established his reputation as a painter in Amsterdam before relocating to England toward the end of the 168os. This painting is characteristic of his English period and exhibits a familiarity with the subject matter that was gained by his close study of the collection of exotic birds amassed by the dukes of Marlborough. The inclusion of a macaw from South America and a family of silkie fowls from the Far East points to the extensive colonizing ambitions associated with the fascination for the exotic at the dawn of the so-called Enlightened Age.”

After 7 years of watching RWBY, I've only just realised why the small island nation consisting of animal people that were forced onto it as a half-hearted compromise for fighting against their opression was called "Menagerie"
I'd like to apologise to all RWBY fans out there. I'm no longer a fan of your show, but at least y'all aren't as stupid as me.
