In addition to more typical golfing fare, the Speed Golf mode introduced in Mario Golf: Super Rush places an emphasis not on how many shots players take to reach the hole, but rather how quickly they are able to do so. This is balanced by requiring players to physically run to wherever their ball lands on a given course, along with a variety of extra abilities in the form of Special Shots, each of which greatly changes what the players are able to do from moment to moment.

Due to the way Mario Golf: Super Rush handles golfer handedness, every golfer whose model is not perfectly symmetrical is saved as a superposition of a regular and a mirror version of the model. Details about how this is used by the game can be found in this earlier post.

In the case of Waluigi, due to the game overlaying Waluigi's Γ symbol with a mirrored copy of itself, it appears as a Π symbol instead. Curiously, both of these symbols, by complete coincidence, happen to be uppercase letters in the Greek and Cyrillic alphabets. Waluigi's regular Γ is the letter Gamma (Ge in Cyrillic), while the Π in the above image is the letter Pi (Pe in Cyrillic), which is commonly used in mathematics in its lowercase form, π.

Just showing off my complete Mario video game collection on the Switch. Not shown is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which came digitally with my switch.

The older Mario games from my childhood should be in storage somewhere, I hope. Though, idk if they still work. And even if they did I think my mom let my sis in law sell most of the old systems anyway 😭

Currently still playing Super Mario Odyssey. I have like 750 or so power moons collected. So, close to 100% it! After Odyssey, I think I will play Wonder! ^^
