“But it became clear very quickly that I’d underestimated how much I liked him. Not him, perhaps, but the fact that I had someone on the other end of the invisible line. Someone to update and get updates from, to inform of a comic discovery, to imagine while dancing in a lonely basement, and to return to, finally, when the music stopped.”

Summer studying Challenge
7th August - What is your favourite summer ‘beach read’ book?
One of my favorites is definitely The opposite of loneliness by Marina Keegan. The essays are just so beautiful and it's one of those books that you can reread a lot of times. I think I've read it at least twice on the beach during different holidays. If you look at my copy of the book you can clearly tell it's been in the sun a lot. 🙈 (BTW one of the stories even inspired the name of this Tumblr)
