Going by her decidedly non-Japanese name, is Maribel of partial foreign descent?

Hi! Both Maribel’s parents are Japanese. They chose to name their daughter Maribel because of: 1) the names’ similar sonority, because her mother's name is Marie, and 2) the Spanish sound, because her father traveled a lot in his youth, and especially enjoyed Spanish-speaking places (that's how he discovered himself a liking for foreign languages and became an English teacher).

Maribel is Japanese, but she also happens to have Hispanic great-grandparents somewhere on her mother's side.
