Honey Lavender Bread

Ingredients:

½ cup Greek yoghurt. ½ cup plain flour. 1tsp baking powder. ¼ tsp salt. 1 tbsp dried lavender. 1 tbsp honey. 1 egg, beaten.

Purpose:

The intent is to increase mental clarity and connection. To clear your spiritual and mental brain fog so that you can think and see more clearly again. To improve clarity of vision and connection to your heart’s desire. Lavender is employed to stimulate clarity and connection, cleansing, memory, passion, peace of mind, healing, love, passion and retention. With the honey for added sweetness and stickiness to make visions all the more sweet, and memories stick more permanently. Harvesting your own lavender can also be intended to honour Lammas, too!

Instructions:

1. Mix everything in a bowl and preheat the oven at 350 F. 2. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead adding more flour until it’s no longer sticky and has formed a nice stretchy bread dough. 3. Put into a floured loaf tin. 4. Brush top with egg wash. 5. Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes until a golden crust has formed and a skewer comes out clean. 6. Slice and enjoy!

~𝕸𝖗. & 𝕸𝖗𝖘.𝕮𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖙𝖓𝖊𝖞 • 𝕺𝖈𝖙𝖔𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝕹𝖎𝖓𝖊𝖙𝖊𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖍 𝕸𝕸𝖃𝖃𝕴𝕴~ My partner and I tied the knot a few days ago on our 8th anniversary together! We plan on having a larger nordic inspired celebration later on, but I still wanted to include some pagan aspects in our smaller ceremony. He wore his Mjolnir for Thor, I wore my amber necklace for my matron, Freyja, and I included some Yggdrasil pendants on our handfasting cord! We were followed by a hawk earlier that day and two ravens crossed my path on the way to the ceremony, so I really feel like the gods blessed our wedding day~

~New Beginnings~

So I just got the news today that my husband and our friend were approved for the apartment that we applied for. Our move-in date is January 1st. 2023 will be the year of new beginnings and mental/physical well being for us three. I am so thrilled to finally have an opportunity to be in a space where I can be myself and do my own thing without being judged or constricting my character as a person. I feel so blessed, and I am so excited to enter in this beautiful new chapter of our life together.

So unfortunately, I fell incredibly ill right before Yule, so I laid in bed a vast majority of the day with the exception of making home-made ornaments! I made a handful of witch’s balls filled with juniper, faux cranberries (just so they won’t rot), and cinnamon!  Pictured is one of the ornaments, a cool freezable mug my husband got recently that has an aspen leaf and snowflake in the middle (very Yule feeling), a new crystal stag ornament which was so beautiful I couldn’t pass him up while shopping for gifts, and my new Yule altar candle! I intended on carving bindrunes into it, and still do, but just don’t have enough strength after getting sick to do so. 

I hope you all had a Bright Solstice and look forward to the Sun’s return as the days grow steadily longer!

~Update~

So back in October, the love of my life and I tied the knot and things have slowly been falling into place. My car should hopefully be back on the road in the next month or so, and we just toured an apartment today that looks really promising! Things are really looking up and I’m so excited for the future.
