No hay nadie allí para ver, para darse cuenta; no hay una partícula de atención libre para ver. En mi estado de sueño es absurdo pretender que quiero trabajar, es imposible. Necesito poner en tela de juicio la ilusión de mí mismo, mi afirmación habitual. Mi primer esfuerzo es despertarme para ver. No damos suficiente importancia a ese momento de despertar, el momento en que uno se ve tal como es en su sueño. Creemos que despertar significa entrar en otra vida que no tendría nada que ver con la que llevamos. Sin embargo, en realidad, despertar significa ante todo despertar a lo que somos en nuestro sueño. Ver, experimentar el sueño, la identificación. El momento mismo en que emergemos para ver que estamos sumergidos en el sueño, la identificación, es el único momento de donde podría partir un impulso. Allí tengo la oportunidad de despertar; después justifico, miento. En ese instante, me doy cuenta de que mi estado es muy bajo, muy inferior. Me siento concernido y quiero liberarme. Entonces quiero estar presente. Viendo que estoy tomado por mi imaginación, de repente me he despertado como golpeado por una luz. Despierto al tomar conciencia de mi sueño. Veo qué tengo la posibilidad de despertar cuando no estoy totalmente tomado. Reconozco allí una posibilidad que es algo muy grande."
