If you peeps know any good medical horror movies that are not just fetishizing the surgeries or medical body horror, I could use some recommendations. Love me some good medical gore but could use seeing something else than some crazy pervy doctor drooling over their working.

Eddie gets to the hospital after the events of Ch.2 and everyone is freaking out, but at least he’s alive (Stan’s alive too no it’s not important to this post, but it is to me). He doesn’t have his wallet, phone, or IDs on him and none of the Losers know how to phone Myra, so everyone’s just kind of tip-toe-ing around how and when they’ll break the news to her, for better or for worse.

After a while, the nurses come out to the waiting room like “The patient is in stable condition, but we can only let a select few visitors in at this time until he is fully conscious. Are any of you related to the patient?”

Before anyone can even blink, Richie’s already stood up and blurted out “I’m his husband.”

Queue the Losers being absolutely in shock before Beverly and Stan swoop in like “yep, it was a beautiful wedding” “absolutely stunning” “can Richie go see him, now?”

Richie is horrified at himself. Somehow this works long enough before someone does get ahold of Myra and all Hell breaks loose.

for those who lay awake at night enraptured by the fateful question of “what would The Daffy Doc but worse be like?”, this one goes out to you. a reprise of the aforementioned cartoon as a means to fill a cartoon quota, Patient Porky places a heavier emphasis on sight gags and wordplay related to a hospital setting rather than the character driven comedy of the former. results in which of the two cartoons is better are predictable, but the novelty of the short’s existence proves to be just as fascinating as it is perplexing.

#claims of something being ‘objectively bad’ are 99% subjective… but this is an objectively bad short. BUT #the grip this had on me in 2019 was insane. i considered this one of my favorite cartoons. it’s just a incoherent burnt out Daffy Doc with #everything good taken out of it and yet i still enjoy it despite being such a horribly lame cartoon #it’s nostalgic in a way! i still love that gag in that gif. the song number is one of my favorite song numbers in a short. i really am fond #of the ending. but i will not pretend like this is a good cartoon (it isn’t) #lt #patient porky #looney tunes #clampett #reviews #tw medical
