Chapter 1: Inception and Ideation It all began in the captivating classroom of GEE 16: The Entrepreneurial Mind. With a passion for innovation and a desire to make a positive impact on the farming community, our team set out to address a crucial challenge faced by farmers – protecting their crops from unpredictable weather conditions. We conceptualized the idea of a retracting plant tent, a revolutionary solution that could shield crops from excessive rain, scorching sun, and other adverse elements.
Chapter 2: Hypotheses and Goals Driven by curiosity and a determination to understand our target market, we formulated several hypotheses. Our primary goal was to design a plant tent that would be both practical and affordable for farmers. We hypothesized that by providing an efficient and cost-effective solution, we could enhance crop yields, reduce losses, and ultimately improve the livelihoods of farmers in Bukidnon.

We realized that beyond designing an effective retracting plant tent, our venture needed to address the systemic issues faced by farmers in Bukidnon. What lessons learned by the team. Lesson learned were explained fully and very clearly.
Planning in building a startup is not that easy. When you're starting a new business, you're operating in an environment of high uncertainty. You're trying to create a product or service that people want, in a market that may or may not exist yet. This uncertainty can make it difficult to know what to focus on and how to allocate your resources. Most startups start with limited resources - both in terms of funding and manpower. This means that founders need to be creative and efficient in how they use their resources. They need to be able to do a lot with a little, and they need to be able to prioritize what's most important. And the lessons by our team learned in creating our product (C.L.A.S.S Aid) is the following.
Focus on the customer: One of the most important lessons that startups learn is the importance of putting the customer first. Understanding the needs and desires of your target audience is crucial for building a product that people will want to used.
Agility is key: Startups need to be agile and adaptable to succeed. The ability to pivot and make changes quickly based on feedback from customers and the market is critical.
Failure is a learning opportunity: In the startup world, failure is not uncommon. However, it's important to view failures as learning opportunities and to use them to make improvements to the product or strategy.
Team dynamics are crucial: Building a startup requires a strong team that works well together. Communication, collaboration, and mutual trust are essential for achieving success.
Cash is king: Startups need to be smart with their finances and manage their cash flow carefully. Running out of cash is one of the most common reasons why startups fail.

Mr. Leilidyn Y Zurbano*, Mary Lynn M Mariposque, Lyka M Buenaobra, and Mr. John Christopher Marquez from the institute of the Agribusiness Department, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Lopez Quezon, Philippines, developed a research work entitled "Growth and protein content of mud crabs (Scylla serrata) fed with different natural feeds," published by the Journal of Biodiversity and Environmental Sciences | JBES, on March issue 2021, Volume 18, under the publication of the International Network For Natural Sciences | INNSPUB.
Abstract
Mud crab (Scylla serrata) farming is one of the main sources of livelihood in Calauag, Quezon. Commonly, they use trash fish as their major source of feeds for mud crabs. However, fluctuation on its prices happen because of supply and demand, thus the use of other natural feeds were conceptualized. This aimed to determine if there are significant differences on the weight, protein content and meat characteristics of mud crabs fed with different natural feeds. It also aimed to assess the profitability of mud crab farming in plastic cages using different natural feeds. The experiment was laid out in Complete Randomized Design with three treatments replicated thrice: T1 – trash fish, T2 – horn snail meat and T3 – yellow corn. Results revealed that mud crabs fed with horn snail had the highest weight and protein content as compared to the other treatments. Hence, had the highest ROI. While, in the sensory analysis of its meat characteristics, mud crabs fed with yellow corn had the highest mean which was rated as very much juicy, flavorful, and very much acceptable.

Introduction
Mud crab aquaculture has been practiced for many years in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines. It is based predominantly on capture and fattening of juvenile crabs from the wild. However, nowadays, mud crab farmers resort to culture of crablets also to be sold to other farmers. It is available in brackish coastal waters and estuaries and has a great potential for aquaculture. Crab culture and fattening are nevertheless, still in the trial stage in South Asia (Samarasinghe et al., 1992). However, some parts of the Philippines are into mud crab farming since they have experienced it to be profitable. Its prominence as an export commodity has also unlocked great opportunities for crab farming. The mud crab remains species with good potential for aquaculture due to its fast growth and good market acceptability and price. There have been rise in demand for the live mud crabs than the supply in the world market. Because of their delicacy and larger size, the live mud crabs are always in greater demand and fetch a higher price (Kathirvel, 1993). The high price of mud crabs provides a strong incentive for mud crabs fishing as it can be among the major source of income for the coastal people and contributes to the national income.

Mud crabs or ‘alimango’ in Filipino is considered one of the most important foods from the sea. Commonly, mud crab is fed with trash fish - marine fish having little or no market value as human food but used sometimes in the production of fish meal. Another type of feed is the telescope snail meat which is locally known as bagongon. Yellow corn, on the other hand, is sometimes used as feed which has the greater contribution in the growth and survival of different fishery products (Rabia, 2015). Since mud crabs in the locality uses only trash feeds as source of feeds and because of its fluctuating price in the market, the idea of using other natural feeds was conceptualized. Thus, this study aimed to determine the effects of different natural feeds on the weight, protein content and meat characteristics of mud crabs. Profitability using those natural feeds were also assessed. This study would greatly benefit mud crab farmers since they will have now an option on what to give to the crabs to increase growth and eventually profit or to make their crabs more palatable and meaty. Moreover, consumers can be assured that the mud crabs are free from synthetic chemicals. The scope of the study was only limited to one growing period. "The Value of Being a Media and Information Literate Individual"
According to the University of Redlands (2019), Media and Information Literacy (MIL) is a human right in an increasingly digital and interdependent global world that promotes greater social inclusion. By the brief historical overview, technology has been visualize as the spoken word of manual craft (Luna, 1994) and subsequently split into three parts: theoretical science, practical science, and productive science (Aristotle). This only implies that due to the never-ending advancement of Media and Information (technology), it is no longer terrific that it has become an integral part of every individual's lives.  In a short period of time, Media Literacy has taught us the importance of differentiating any forms of media such as newspapers, magazines, advertisements and articles that enable individuals to give critics and make a standpoint to the images and information that has been presented. In contrast, information literacy is the ability to find, evaluate, use and conduct communication in different formats in order to use the gained information ethically and legally.  To be able to survive the 21st century life, it is necessary that we adapt and develop the ability of becoming literate who does not only evolve about the knowledge of knowing how to read and right but rather to enhance deeper understanding and the flexibility to question their own interpretation.
As a student who was already exposed to the concept of technology, it provide large opportunities for us to incur better understanding about how reality works and the proficiency to seek for valid and accurate information. Applying the power of literacy when it comes to media and information means exploring new changes about our individuality and recognizing modern skills in conformity with enhanced critical skills who does not immediately trust about the things that we have been viewed. The benefits that we can attain towards this ability empowers the capability to tell stories, sharing new information as well as influencing the belief and demeanor of others because the quality of information that we obtain determines our choices including our capacity to enjoy fundamental freedoms (UNESCO, 2011). In conclusion, the goal of media and information literacy is to evaluate the relevance of the gathered information, possessing life-long knowledge (specific and meaningful information) and educating every person about the significance of knowing the facts before making a stand in order to avoid entering troubles due to the widespread of false information.

Hypothesis Testing: (Methods in testing the hypothesis, results were explained very clearly) validate, interview, solidify your hypothesis Hypothesis: Null hypothesis: The academically and financially struggling CMU students will patronize C.L.A.S.S Aid as it will be effective and beneficial.
Alternative hypothesis: The venture C.L.A.S.S. Aid will be patronized by academically struggling and students who wants to earn as it will be effective and beneficial. In testing the hypothesis, the team created a standardized survey questionnaire to be used in the data collection. The data collection was done on an online survey form using Google forms and was distributed to random CMU students via Facebook Messenger app. We have surveyed to a total of eight CMU students and five of them are female and the other three was male. Survey Results Summary Among the 8 respondents, seven are financially struggling but only five of them are planning to get a part-time job to earn. All respondents were then asked if were they willing to earn by assisting students with their academic loads and seven have said yes. They were asked if would they register if there is an app or web app wherein they could earn by assisting students, four said yes and the other four responded maybe. Among the same eight respondents, 4 are academically struggling and had wanted to ask someone to assist them and pay them. Five were willing to hire an academic assistant. Seven respondents said that they will use the web app if there would be a web app wherein they could upload either activities and assignments and ask someone to help them. The respondents also suggested features they would want the web-app to have in order to use and enjoy the app in the best way possible. The C.L.A.S.S. Aid will benefit financially struggling students whom wants to earn because they get to help their fellow students who is seeking for academic help and get paid in return. It will not cause so much effort for them to earn for they aid students virtually in the comforts of their own homes. They will not need to advertise themselves in social media while trying to get students to assist to because students themselves will go to the web app themselves. It will be much more easier to have transaction as all tasks posted are categorized. Their transaction payments will be secured and they will not worry about getting scammed. The web app will be easy to use and user-friendly. It will also benefit academically struggling students or those students whom are struggling to manage their loads and time. It will be easier for them to look for an assistant who could provide them academic help. It would also secure their transaction payments and will be made sure that the products the assistants provide are in best quality and is not made only for compliance. The team will make sure that the tasks given will be made in a given time frame and will make sure clients get the product worth to what they have paid for. Students both academically and financially struggling will patronize the C.L.A.S.S Aid web-app once implemented in a user-friendly interface.
