The fact that the episode where Arya assists Tywin and famously says “most girls are stupid” corresponds directly with the chapter in the books where she overhears Chiswyck laughing about how the mountain and his lackeys (him included) gang-raped a 13 year old child, and this harrows and angers Arya so much that she adds all of these people to her prayer kill list and uses her one of her three precious death-wishes with Jaqen H’ghar is the reason I will be personally beating the bloody shit out of d&d.

jaykyle au where they're theatre kids in the same school but they're not the actors jason's the scriptwriter/director and kyle is the prop manager (i don't know the official terms sorry) and they'd probably do an amazing job on the backstage setting if they could stop arguing for 5 whole seconds about their artistic visions and ideas and how "this would obviously work better this way"

#only friends #only friends the series #ofts #mark pakin #papang phromphiriya #i am obsessed with how good papang is #trust me to read too much into it but to me he clearly has an idea who 30 sth year old Dan is #seemingly out of the dating scene since at least his graduation so doesn't know the current lingo #feeling a bit too old but also unsure how he likes being called old but hot #very charmed by this junior but not used anymore to getting butterflies in a club #lowkey knows that the boss thing might be a bit hmm...#(listen: i love that again the show doesn't give us a clear line of 'dan is a creep' because there is a lot of room for him to essentially #be a good option for nick as well as the possibility of accidentally acting unethical) especially within the community it is worth to #observe whether the power imbalance on its own speaks against the person #he's also a bit shy wondering whether this cute guy would actually be interested in him because he is sweet and obviously aquainted with #going to bars so surely he must have options #and mark is also so wonderful ;A; even before he spots boston you can see that there is still some heartbreak lingering #but also that he liked the kiss but it was a very different feel to boston #also: somehow papang in mlc and papang here kisses absolutely differently and it makes so much sense to me that he at this point in his #life would kiss like this?? idk how to explain it better #this show continues to bring out the best acting out of everyone #(to derail: maybe why i want the writing for top to be that he's still in the grey so badly because i think that is the kind of difficult #acting force is actually mastering in this series)

Elitism in the 90s Goth scene.

“We'd show up at a club and the local [Goth] scene kids would be there. They'd get in early because they knew the people putting on the event or whatever. It would be like this taking over. We were on tour going from show to show and these scene kids would take over the backstage and we would be pushed off to the side in the corner. It was this weird thing where we're there to play a show and they didn't want us there. During the Stark Corner tour, back in that day everything was 'snail mail'. He [Mike Vanportfleet] used to get handwritten letters from people. He answered every single letter that he ever got (sometimes he'd send out cassettes). There was a girl that he was writing to a lot and she's like, "I'm going to be at your in-store". So he's at the In-Store, and there's this other guy hanging out with him that's mega Goth. And here's Mike sitting there with his plain white t-shirt and jeans and they're sitting at this table. So, the girl comes up and starts talking to the other guy saying, "Oh my god, I can't believe we're finally meeting. I bought you these vintage postcards" and gushing about this and that. And the guy is like, "I'm sorry but this is Mike". She literally dropped the cards, turned away, and never spoke to him [Mike] again. These are the kinds of things we'd experience. I can remember so many times playing in these uber cool Goth clubs. We would start our music before we went on stage because we had a long intro. We would just stand out in the crowd. I remember in Columbus [Ohio], we were standing in the crowd and people were looking at us like, "who the hell are you? You don't fit here". Then we walked on stage and you physically could see their faces go "Oops!".” — Tara Vanflower of the band Lycia
