...Story Imagine...
((An AU with Loki a story Inspired by the movie "Tale of Tales".))
(Y/n) is the dear daughter of Odin and Frigga, the beloved Princess of Asgard, and only younger sibling of Thor. However, despite the title and the luxurious life of Royalty (Y/n) was saddened for her father never gave her the same attention as he does for Thor.
He refused her request of being skilled in fighting like her brother, and instead forced her to play music, ignoring the fact of her mother being a skilled fighter with the sword. When she asked to go to parties held in other Manors, in hopes of making friends, he again refused and instead hired more ladies in waiting for her and set up a party in the castlr where she was forced to stay by her father and mother's side while Thor had fun with his friends and was surrounded by women, Which lead to her latest request.
(Y/n) asked Odin that she wished to pursue love in hopes of marriage and happiness. But again Odin refused, and was even enraged by her request, which made the young princess run to her room crying.
Later that night Odin is berated by Frigga, telling him how he cannot keep their daughter close to them forever, how she is now a young woman who deserves to see not only Asgard and it's people but have friends and even lovers if she wanted. Wanting to please his wife but still refusing to let his dear daughter go Odin Comes and idea.
He brings his family together and tells them that he agrees to allow suitors from all 9 realms to come pursue his daughter's hand in marriage. (Y/n) cheers in excitement and goes to hug her father, Thor feels uneasy of the new of his little sister leaving him to marry some man, Frigga was the only one who looked at her husband with weary eyes. When she asked him further he revealed a request that only when it's met shall he accept his daughter to be wed.
Poor (Y/n) was too happy to ask first and immediately agreed and that's when Odin said, that he will put an item from his treasure room in a box and if the suitors guessed correctly what item is it then and only then will he let them take not only (Y/n)'s hand in marriage but also the item held within the box. Such news upsets both mother and daughter, while thor thought it would be good fun.
The word spread all over the 9 realms of the competition that Odin was holding and almost all came forward. First, it was only Asgardian Noblemen who guessed wrong each time, which upsets (Y/n) because not only did she see a few whome she fancied, or the obvious enjoyment in her father's face, but also of how unfair the game was. Odin's treasure room held many items and only few do the realms know of, not (Y/n), or even thor know how many items are in there, which means that no-one would be able to guess what they don't know.
Months pass, and even the creatures from other realms could not guess the item inside the golden box. By now they were just repeating guesses, Thor and Frigga tried to assure her that there was still a chance, while Odin only said how it was meant to be for her to stay here.
One day all Asgard is shaking in fear for the new suitor was none other than Loki Laufeyson, Prince Of Jotunheim, and with him came 3 frost giants as escorts. When they entered the throne room, everyone backed away in fear except for thor who came forward with his hammer demanding why are they here. It was Odin who stopped his son and told him that he allowed the Jontunheim Prince to try his chance. Both Frigga and (Y/n) who was hiding behind her mother were shocked of how much joy Odin was having from rejecting his daughter's suitors that he allowed their enemy's son to win his daughter's hand.
Loki approached the box and stared circling it, he observed with such thoughtful and focused gaze ignoring the murmurs that echoed through the throne room. When Loki tried to touch the box Thor stopped him saying it was against the rule to touch it.
Loki: "The box is forbidden to the touch?"
Odin: "Yes."
Loki: "is the item magical?"
Odin: "It is."
Loki: "Is the item one of your treasures from your glorious battles."
Odin, eyes narrowed: "......"
Loki just smirked knowingly, his eyes met (Y/n)'s, and if the princess wasn't so terrified she would hace noticed how his red eyes softened lightly before looking back to the all father.
Loki: "The item inside the box is none other than my people's relic which you had stolen..."
Frigga, Thor, and (Y/n) noticed how Odin suddenly had his calm demeanor, to those who knew him like his close family knew that it means he is troubled.
Loki: " the item inside the Box is... The Casket Of Ancient Winters."
Everyone looked to the allfather, waiting for him to deny it but after a long silence Odin clenched his staff and slamed it lightly to the ground, which caused the box to open, revealing the Casket. Shouts of protest filled the room, accusing the Prince of cheating that he didn't deserve their princess. Odin only lifted his hand stopping his people before saying...
Odin: " As King of Asgard I am forced to follow my own word...my daughter along with the casket are yours."
The frost giants started to cheer for their Prince. (Y/n) overwhelmed and shocked by this ran out of the room crying, refusing to believe that her father gave her away as if she was one of his things that he keeps. As she reached her room princess (Y/n) contemplated suicide but it was Frigga who came to stop her and comfort her, before saying how Odin was wrong for what he did but he cannot go back against his word.
Preparations were made for the princess to leave with Prince Loki. She saw how Thor started breaking everything is the castle in protest for his union, he even tried to take his sister away and forbid her from leaving with the Prince but it was Odin stopped him in fear of starting another war. As you bid everyone goodbye without sobbing for you cried all your tears already, Odin tried make rules but was stopped by Loki.
Loki: "With all do respect Odin, you have no rights to make demands or requests for the moment I was correct princess was already mine... And only she can make demands."
This caught you off gaurd for two reasons, the first was you didn't expect him to give you any right as his "Wife" and second, he didn't even mention the casket, which was already being carried by one of the giants along with your luggage. Everyone turned to you waiting for you to say something.
(Y/n): "I... I wish to still be able to visit my home."
Loki: "As you wish."
You probably should have asked for more but the shock of what happened today was too much on you that still being close with your family was plaguing your mind. Thor escorted you and your "Husband" to the Bifrost and all the way he kept throwing threats to Loki, promising great painful death if he dared to harm you in any way Loki just ignored him, saying "Yes" and "Of course." To entertain him.
In Jotunheim, it was very cold that you'd have freezed immediately if they didn't already supply you with a lot of clothes to keep you warm, you also notice that there wasn't a big welcoming like the ones you father would hold to Thor. As you continued to walk you could see from the distant the throne of Laufey surrounded by warrior Giants, which made you stop in your tracks with fear, Loki noticed that and instead of forcing your forward as you thought he placed a hand on your back which you barely felt because of the heavy coat and he whispered.
Loki: "I promise you on my honor that no harm shall come to you. They may look intimidating but will never hurt you."
Your eyes met his red ones and you saw the sincerity, which encouraged you to keep going. When you came face to face with Laufey, he went to this speech on how his son had made a fool of Odin and returned with not only their rightful relic but also his daughter as his wife, everyone cheered and you had to bite your tounge to not try and defened your father. He maybe did something unforgivable but he was still your father.
---
From here on out the story would continue with Laufey wanting to take the casket and plan to conquer Asgard and other realms, but Loki stops him reminding him thay HE was the one who came up with the plan upon learning of the competition, HE was the one who went there and faced the allfather personally, That HE was the one who risked not only his but also the safety of a few of his people. That everyone including his father laughed at him because they never believed he would win.
Unlike his father, Loki doesn't want anymore war, that enough blood was sheed from both sides and he hoped that his marriage to princess (Y/n) would start an alliance between the two realms. Which was difficult because neither side wanted to submit first. When (Y/n) would go to Asgard Odin would ask he of the numbers of the frost Giants and how strong they were, when Loki I'd aslone with his father he'd try and remind him of the great advantage they have now.
There is a moment where Thor would come with his friends to try and "Rescue" you from Loki.
But during all that Loki would try and woe (Y/n) even using his magic to give himself and appearance of an asgradian to not only assure but be able to touch her hand and even kiss her in the future.
He'd let her learn to fight and hold a weapon because even the female giants were warriors, what's stopping his wife from becoming one. Because of the size difference Loki would personally be the one to train you. When you ask to be able to explore he would take you through secret passage to other realms so you may enjoy them.
--
That's all I have so far, but it will have happy ending promise.

I don't know why I'm even still posting these here...
Title: Winter's Frost Chapter: 23/? Fandom: MCU Rating: R to be on the safe side Pairing: Loki/Bucky Summary: Loki never told anyone the real reason he became so obsessed with Midgard. Much better to let them think he wanted to hurt his brother than draw their attention to the one thing in the universe that makes the God of Mischief truly vulnerable.
The best thing the Avengers did was not force Loki and Bucky to sit through yet another 'are you sure? No, like, really, totally sure?' debate when they brought Fury up to speed. At Thor's request, Loki pinned Fury in place and dug through his mind. Once he was satisfied that the squawking, agitated spy really had nothing to do with HYDRA, he nodded to the others and walked away.
"Okay, what did I miss? I don't remember approving the addition of a mass murderer to the Avengers."
"I'm definitely not on Team Loki, but just for the sake of accuracy – I'm pretty sure at least half the members of this team you did put together have racked up a higher body count. Each."
Loki smiled to himself, but didn't pause to listen to the rest of the argument he knew was starting. The Avengers didn't trust him, not yet, but Thor and Bucky did, and Rogers trusted Bucky while the others more or less trusted Thor. The truce among them was tenuous at best, but at least they were willing to try. Disinterested in their politics, he returned to the suite Stark had somewhat grudgingly provided him and his beloved with until things could be sorted out.
"Can he be trusted?"
"No," Loki answered simply as he sank into Bucky's lap and kissed him. "But he didn't know about HYDRA, and he's willing to stand against them."
Bucky smiled, combing his fingers through the other man's long hair. "Good start, I guess. 'The enemy of my enemy' and all that..."
"So much debate and bureaucracy," he lamented, rolling his eyes. "I wonder if it wouldn't be better if I just tracked the things down myself and brought them back."
"It would certainly be faster," Bucky admitted with a shrug, "but I dunno about better. I know they're all 'just humans' but I still don't love the idea of you poofing into enemy territory with no backup."
Loki grinned, trying not to laugh. "'Poofing'?"
"'Teleporting' has twice as many syllables and I'm lazy. Deal with it." His ageless soldier grinned as well, but it was short-lived. "They're bound to have those things under heavy guard, aren't they? I'd really rather you have a team at your back if you're gonna go after them."
Opting not to tell his mostly-heterosexual love what a 'pouf' was, Loki let the joke die and shook his head, focusing on the matter at hand. "Do you really think they'll bring either of us along when they finally reach something akin to consensus on what to do?"
A playful grin that reminded him so much of their time together in the 40s lit up Bucky's pretty face. "I think watching them try to stop us will be funny as hell."
Loki chuckled and the two settled into a companionable silence for a while, each lost in his own private thoughts. He just barely felt Bucky tracing little invisible patterns up and down his arm and, with a smile, changed from the suit he'd been wearing into a tee shirt. Something about just being able to feel Bucky's skin brushing against his own was so comforting. They'd had so little time since Siberia to simply be together like this; to reconnect and get to know one another again. They weren't the same men who had fallen into an unexpected, all-consuming whirlwind romance nearly seventy years earlier. When the dust settled, would the connection they'd formed before all this upheaval still be there?
"Do you feel trapped?"
The soldier's voice was so soft and timid, Loki almost thought he'd imagined it, but the briefest glance at his handsome face dispelled that notion. He smirked, shaking his head. "No, Stark can't keep me here. I'm sure by now he knows that. Why, do you?"
Bucky shook his head, still looking troubled. "That's not what I meant. It just occurred to me... I just remembered when you told me you could shapeshift; turn into a woman, if you wanted, among other things. I guess I thought I was being romantic, or whatever... I definitely thought I was being kind..."
"I sometimes did, then," he explained softly as he caught on to what his love was having so much trouble putting into words. "But it wasn't because of you. It was kind of you to say what you did-" With a half-hearted smile, he nudged him, pleased to receive a slightly less strained smile in return. "-And quite romantic. With all that you were struggling with, to have you brush off the offer of something akin to normalcy and say you loved me regardless very nearly brought me to tears."
"Why did you feel trapped, if that wasn't it?"
Sighing, Loki dropped his head onto Bucky's shoulder and cuddled a bit closer. "Because of Odin, and Thor, and... everyone but Mother and Sigyn, really. What little respect I ever managed to pry from them vanished like smoke in the wind as soon as one of them saw my female form. Then I was back to being a joke; the pitiful clown who would never be a 'real man.' Certainly never a warrior."
"So Sigyn has seen that side of you?" He could hear the teasing smile in Bucky's voice, and relief eased the tension in his muscles that he hadn't until then been aware of.
Answering his tone rather than his words, Loki drawled, "Yes, you juvenile pervert, we've made love while I was in my female form, as well."
"I thought you swore you'd never read my mind."
He laughed and kissed Bucky's neck, loving the way it made the man beneath him shiver. "I didn't have to. I 'read' your tone."
Snorting, Bucky kissed his jaw. "Alright, fair enough. So... do you still feel trapped now?"
Loki shook his head. "Once I learned of my true heritage – well, once I had a moment to think and grasp what it meant – it sort of brought things into sharper focus for me. I stopped caring about earning the respect of a man who'd lied to me for my entire life, and it occurred to me, at last... I don't think it ever had anything to do with whether I'm a man or a woman, not for Odin, at least. I'm Jotun; he decided long before I was born that my entire race is the enemy. Nothing I do will ever be good enough for him."
"Then why did he adopt you in the first place?"
"To one day have a Jotun King with Asgardian values." He sat up to look Bucky in the eye, and melted a little at the horror and empathetic pain he saw there. "He drove the Jotuns back, kept them trapped in their own realm, but he couldn't make Laufey bow to him. Even defeated, my father refused to submit to Asgardian rule. Odin claimed he planned to use me to 'forge a lasting peace,' which really only means to raise me to hate everything about my own people and see the nine realms through Aesir eyes, and then place me on the throne. A pawn wearing a worthless crown."
With a tired, wry grin, Loki added, "The problem is, of course, I'm still not Aesir. I don't see things the way Odin does and never have; not overall, at least. I don't...really know what to think or how to feel about Jotunheim now."
"Let's start with keeping Thanos from destroying it, so you can take some time to figure that out." Tears in those breathtaking blue eyes, Bucky threw his arms around him and hugged him tight enough that had Loki been human, he'd likely have broken several ribs. Being one of the few living things on the planet stronger than his lover, Loki took great care not to hurt him as he squeezed back, smiling.

Beyla (Loki) 5
"How could you have done this?" Frigga asks in tears.
"Do you understand what he set in motion? He's taken us to the brink of war!"
"But banishment? You would lose him forever? He's your son!"
"What would you have done?"
Frigga stands her ground, "I would not have exiled him to a world of mortals, stripped of his powers, to suffer alone. I would not have had the heart for such cruelty! Beyla hasn't been sent there yet, how do you expect him to survive?
"That is why I'm King. I, too, grieve the loss of our son. But there are some things that even I cannot undo."
"You can bring him back."
"No. His fate is in his own hands now."
~
Sif, Loki, Beyla, and the Warriors three, battered and shell-shocked, still reeling from the day's events. I sit close to Loki watching the large fire in the middle. Volstagg pipes up in the quiet room, "We should never have let him go." I shake my head. "There was no stopping him."
"At least he's only banished, not dead. Which is what we'd all be if that guard hadn't told Odin where we'd gone."
"How did the guard even know?" Loki stares at his arms tense. "I told him."
"What?" We all looked at him shocked. "I told him to go to Odin after we'd left. Though he should be flogged for taking so long."
"You told the guard?" The warriors whine. "I saved our lives! And Thor's. I had no idea Father would banish him for what he did." Loki shrugs innocently. I place my hand on his chest. "You were looking out for the better."
"Loki, you're the only one who can help Thor now. You must go to the Allfather and convince him to change his mind!"
"And if I do, then what? I love Thor more dearly than any of you, but you know what he is. He's arrogant. He's reckless. He's dangerous. You saw how he was today. Is that what Asgard needs from its King?" We exchange glances, torn.
Loki has a point.
He leaves the room in a heat. Hogun stares after him.
"He may speak about the good of Asgard, but he's always been jealous of Thor." I stare at Sif with wide eyes. "I beg your pardon?" She looks down upon me. "Oh, don't start. We all know you've broken the proposal. Why did Loki want you? Because of Thor." I shake my head standing. "False! We should be grateful to him. He did save our lives."
Hogun hums using the healing stones. "Laufey said there were traitors in the House of Odin." The others turn to look at him.
Fandral shakes his head, "Why is it every time you choose to speak, it has to be something dark and ominous?" "A master of magic could easily bring three Jotuns into Asgard. Beyla is good, but Loki is better." I shake my head in defense of my love. "No. He would never." I follow Loki's heels quietly.
He walks into the Vault, sees the Casket of Ancient Winters sitting on its stand. He walks over to it slowly, reaches out, and lifts it between his forearms off its pedestal. As he does, a blueness spreads from his arms, across his body.
"Loki?" I gasp out as he transforms into one of the blue-skinned creatures. He looks over to her in shock. He turns away hiding. "Beyla, you shouldn't be here." I move to him, resting her hands on his cheeks feeling frosted blue skin.
"Stop!"
Loki and I turn, seeing Odin hurrying into the room, the Destroyer goes motionless, the latticework rejoining before it. Odin eyes Loki with dismay. He glances at Beyla who is concentrated on Loki.
"Am I cursed?"
"No."
Loki sets the Casket back upon its pedestal, his body quickly returning to its normal form and color. He stares at me, then his father.
" What am I?" Loki growls lowly. "You're my son." "What more than that?" Odin doesn't answer. He looks at me. "You may leave." Loki shakes his head. "She will stay."
Loki realizes the truth. He walks up towards Odin. "The Casket wasn't the only thing you took from Jotunheim that day, was it?" Odin looks him in the eye. He can deny it no longer. "No. In the aftermath of the battle, I went into the Temple, and I found a baby. Small for a giant's offspring -- abandoned, suffering, left to die. Laufey's son."
I walk behind his shoulders. "Laufey's son?" I look over Loki in awe.
"Why?" Loki cries, "You were knee-deep in Jotun blood. Why would you take me?"
"You were an innocent child."
"You took me for a purpose, what was it?" Odin doesn't answer, forcing Loki to yell, "Tell me!"
"I thought we could unite our kingdoms one day, bring about an alliance, bring about a permanent peace... through you. But those plans no longer matter." Loki cracks allowing his eyes to fill with tears. "So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up here until you might have use of me."
" Why do you twist my words?" "You could have told me what I was from the beginning. Why didn't you?" I hold his arm in a comforting way.
"You are my son. My blood. I wanted only to protect you from the truth."
"Because I am the monster parents tell their children about at night?" Loki challeges.
"Don't..." Odin fights on the stairs.
Loki starts to draw to the stone steps to Odin. "It all makes sense now. Why you favored Thor all these years. Because no matter how much you claim to "love" me, you could never have a Frost Giant married to Beyla and sitting on the Throne of Asgard!" Loki hisses at Odin.
His body begins to shake, he lifts his hand. His entire body now moves out of sync with the rest of the world, leaving trails behind him as he staggers backward. Odin falls back against the steps. He collapses to the stone floor. Loki, shocked, hurries to him. I run to him and sit by Odin's side. "What has happened, Loki?" He stares at me with shock and unknowing.
"Guards!" Loki calls after his father. "Guards! Help! Please help!"
~
Frigga sits at her husband's bedside, holding his hand. Odin lies there, looking pale and lifeless, his body and the space around it warped from the effect of the Odinsleep. The walls of the chamber have moved close around him, protecting him.
Loki and I sit at Odin's side, across from Frigga. She speaks softly to him. "I asked him to be honest with you from the beginning. There should be no secrets in a family." Loki stares down at Odin. "So why did he lie?"
"He kept the truth from you so that you would never feel different. You are in every way our son, Loki, and we are your family. You must know that." I hold his hand leaning on his arm.
I stare at Odin as he sleeps. "You can speak to him. He can see and hear us, even now."
"How long will it last?"
"I don't know. This time is different. We were unprepared."
I never get used to seeing him like this. The most powerful being in the Nine Realms lying helpless until his body is restored."
Frigga sighs But he's put it off for so long now, I fear..." I stand comforting her as she lets a few tears fall. She hugs me tightly. "You're a good woman, Beyla."
"We mustn't lose hope that your father will return to us. And your brother." Loki looks to Frigga, concerned. "What hope is there for Thor?"
"There's always a purpose to everything your father does. Thor may yet find a way home." Loki looks troubled by the revelation. He rises and heads for the exit when the clatter of armored footsteps is heard hurriedly approaching.
The einherjar Guard entered the room, blocking Loki's way out. I stand next to Loki, prepared for the worst, but the guards just stand before us. Loki is baffled.
I turn to Frigga's confusion live in my eyes. Thor is banished. The line of succession falls to you. Until he awakens, Asgard is yours under the single condition of marriage." I gasp looking to Loki.
He turns to his mother wide-eyed. "Us?" Frigga takes both our hands smiling. "You two have the strongest bond. You've always been written in the stars to fall together. What's to say this isn't in your favor?"
I look at her with a growing smile. Loki nods holding my hands in his tightly. "We accept."
Frigga raises her hands creating two rings for us. "Let's begin."
Loki and I stand face to face within the room of the guards and Frigga. Gives ring to Loki. He repeats the ceremonial speech upon my heart. "I vow to protect you, Beyla, as my Queen. For you shall never wake in darkness as I am your husband." He places the ring on my finger.
I hold the cold gold in my fingers staring at Loki. "I vow to stand by Asgard in the wake of your rein, my King. For you shall always have my support as I am your wife." As the ring wraps his finger he smiles down at me.
"You two may now kiss," Frigga says sincerely.
Loki pulls me close pushing his lips upon mine with fierce passion. As we will apart the army cheers.
The Einherjar kneel before Loki and I. Another enters, holding Gungnir before him. He kneels before Loki, offers the spear to him.
"Make your father proud." Frigga retorts as Loki reaches out tentatively, then takes it. King and Queen of Asgard.

*****************************************
Everything was going great. All of our favorite heroes sat in the common room, relaxing after the latest mission. The " Gen Z Crew" sat in their secluded corner of the rm, making vine references and talking the latest science trends. Suddenly Morgan grew quiet. She looked up at Loki with big brown does eyes, a feature that ran in the stark family. " Big brother Loki, will you tell me one of your stories, about Asgard?" Everyone in the room froze and turned slowly to see Loki's reaction.
They all know that Loki hated talking about his past, especially of his times in Asgard. But Loki smiled at the small child and began weaving a tale. Morgan crawled into his lap and listened. And even if they weren't all looking, everyone was listening. " Well, my father, Odin was the All-Father, King of Asgard and Ruler of the Nine Realms. In order to gain that power and title, however, he killed and pillaged across the universe to gain power, with my older sister, Hela by his side and a very large army, he was unstoppable. But eventually, he had stopped rampaging and began to settle down. Well, my sister did not like this, insisting that they could conquer more than nine realmes, getting a sort of high from the rampaging and war. But my father dismissed her and, after going insane, banishing my sister to the underworld.
A few millennia later, Odin settled down and married my mother, Frigga and had Thor. Then, a few centuries after that, father raged war on Jotunheim, the kingdom of the Frost Giants. On the last day of the war, Odin found something on the battlefield. A small blue baby boy. He took the child back to Asgard and adopted him as his own. The child's name was Loki." Morgan beamed a bright smile and poked Loki's chest. " That's you! " Loki chuckled " Yes that's me" Loki cleared his throat and continued with the story. " I grew up being left behind and pushed into my brother's shadow. But still, I was smart and cunning. I pulled amazing pranks and mastered magic at a very young age. For example, after my mother taught me shape-shifting magic, I became a snake because Thor loved snakes so he picked me up to admire me and I stabbed him. I was four at the time.
There were a few chuckles and frightened faces and Loki smirked and continued with his story. " Anyways, when I was ten and Thor was 15, my father took us into the Vault, where things like the Tesseract and Eternal Flame were kept. But that's not what we went to see. My father showed us the Casket of Eternal Winters, something he had taken from Laufey, the King of Frost Giants during the war." Morgan's face scrunched up. " Why did Odin take the Casket?" " Well, Laufey tried to use the Casket to destroy the nine realms and take Asgard for himself, starting with Earth. Anyhow, he said to us " But the day will come when one of you will have to defend the peace. " Do the Frost Giants still live?" I asked him. Before he got a chance to answer Thor said " When I'm king, I'll hunt the monsters down and slay them all. Just as you did father!" My father smiled and told us "A wise king never seeks out war, but he must always be ready for it." Of course, my father lied and filled me with false hopes of being king, knowing he can never have a frost giant on the throne. But that is as far as I am willing to go with that story. Any more questions?"
No one answered. Then Steve cleared his throat. " Here we go." Peter thought to himself. Steve had never really excepted the fact that Loki had reformed and joined the team. Sure, everyone had their doubts and at times, some still do. But Steve hated Loki with a fiery passion. " Loki, Have you ever considered that if you had been a better son than you would've gotten the throne? Thor didn't want to rule and didn't give the throne to his brother but to some complete stranger, who probably doesn't have any training on ruling a kingdom whatsoever. Even so, Thor was so taken to Earth that it seems he didn't want to rule from the beginning. It seems you've crewed it up for yourself. Loki froze. Carefully, he put Morgan down and stood slowly, menacingly as he began to cackle. He snapped his neck up to look into the eyes, to bare into the soul of Steve Rogers.
Then
He snapped
he snapped
" I WAS THE BEST SON ANY PARENT COULD'VE ASKED FOR! I WAS KIND! I WAS POLITE! FOR TEN STRAIGHT YEARS I WAS PERFECT!" Deadly ice began to crawl up the walls, and Loki began to turn a slight blue in the face, but no one noticed.
" TEN YEARS OF -- OF MANNERS AND ROYAL PARTIES! OF TIGHT PRNCE ROBES AND STUDY LESSONS THAT LASTED SO LONG I NEVER GOT TO MAKE ANY FRIENDS!"
The ice grew higher, and there was a chill in the room, yet it still went unnoticed. All eyes were on Loki.
"TEN YEARS OF FORCED SMILES AND TRYING SO HARD TO IGNORE THE MUTTERED DISAPPROVAL AND PITIED GLANCES ODIN GAVE ME! TEN YEARS OF THOR!"
Loki's face began to become even bluer, and two nubs came out of his forehead.
"ALWAYS " YOU SHOULD BE MORE LIKE THOR" AND " I WISH YOU DID MORE AS THOR DID AT YOUR AGE!"
Loki began to tremble, while tears streamed down his, now completely blue, face, His eyes were now a deep crimson red.
"I DID EVERYTHING RIGHT! I LOVED THEM! THEY WERE MY PARENTS BUT I WASN'T -"
Loki stopped and looked around. Everybody had mixed look of pity and fear in their faces. But poor Morgan was petrified. He looked down at his hands and gasped silently and began to repress his Frost Giant side once more, and little by little he became pale, the room got warmer, and  the ice began to fade. He took a shuttering breath and wiped his eyes. He looked down at the ground.
" I was never their son. "
He looked around once more and ran upstairs to his room.
Everyone looked around at each other. The Gen Z's immediately got up and went to follow him. Peter ran passed Steve and stopped.
" You just don't know when to quit, do you?" and continued to run to Loki's room.
Loki's friends stood outside of his door.
" Loki, let us in. It's ok we just want to help." Peter said, trying to coax Loki into unlocking the door.
" Go away," Loki said " I'm a monster, a screwup. I'm dangerous and you shouldn't hang out with me anymore."
The kids all looked around at one another. This was bad.
Peter sighed, he knew this was a breach of privacy but could just stand around and listen to his friend cry. " Friday, override lock code on door 34." " Please provide override code" " Override code 121720011." " Code excepted, here you are mister Parker."
The door unlocked with a simple click and the group of friends entered the room. Loki was face down on his bed, his shoulders shaking with silent sobs. His friends ran over and sat on the bed. "Loki stop crying its ok." "No, it's, not I never should have snapped or yelled. Now they're going to think in dangerous again." Harley growled" Are you serious? You had every right to yell! Steve should have never said that to you. It was way out of bounds." Penni spoke up. "Harley is right Loki. Steve was out of line especially when he knows how sensitive a topic your past is for you. " Loki sniffled and looked up at the teenagers "But you all saw me at my worse and Morgan was petrified." Morgan spoke up "I wasn't scared, I was shocked.” “I'm sorry that you had to go through that Loki" Ria sighed, "Loki part of being friends is being able to trust each other. To be able to show even the darkest, most vulnerable sides of ourselves." Peter continued, "We have to be able to trust each other not to judge because we support each other."
"But you know something Loki?" Loki looked up at Ned as he wiped his eyes. "We're your family and we'll always be there for you no matter what." He smiled. " GROUP HUG!" Ria yelled and dogpiled Loki. After their hug, Ria stood up and turned towards the door. " I heard that the new Interns are here. How about we give them a warm, Stark Industries welcome... VIA PRANK WAR!" The children cheered and ran down the halls causing mischief and chaos. And Loki knew. Sure he didn't have the greatest upbringing but he had a family now, and wouldn't trade it for the world

Chapter 9
Loki’s P.O.V
A few months later
It was Thors big coronation day. I was pretending to be happy but deep down I was jealous. It just wasn’t fair that I had to be beneath him, I would never be his equal. It made me feel like he was the preferred child. It's fine at least I had gotten married before him. And perhaps there was a small surprise waiting to ruin Thor's big day. He hardly deserved the title of king when he didn’t act like one. I would be much better on the throne.
Raven joined me outside the great hall, dressed in a long green and gold gown. Her dress matched my robes. I smiled at her, taking her hand in mine. She returned the smile as I kissed the back of her hand. I was starting to get ideas; her dress was a little too revealing for a coronation. A slit up the side of the skirt, strapless corseted bodice. Maybe she wanted me to drag her off to our room and have my way with her. We didn’t have time for that. Instead I led her over to one of the floor length curtains. “Loki what are you doing?” She asked with a soft smile. “We can’t let my brother have all the fun today.”
She seemed a little surprised but didn’t protest. We hid behind the curtain, before I pinned her against the wall. As long as we kept quiet we shouldn’t get caught. I kissed her, tangling my fingers in her hair. She returned the kiss, nipping at my bottom lip. I groaned against her, my cock growing harder the more she kissed me. Its like she knew just what to do, how to drive me crazy. She wrapped her arms around me, continuing to kiss me hungrily. I picked her up, pressing her back against the wall. She wrapped her legs around my waist and smiled at me, her eyes heavy lidded with lust.
I reached down and freed myself from the very tight confines of my pants. Raven was gathering up the skirt of her dress, so it was up around her thighs. I pulled her panties aside and slowly pushed inside her wetness. Both of us moaned at the contact before I started a fast pace. There wasn’t time to waste, anybody could walk past at anytime. Raven clung to me, her head thrown back a little as she continued to moan a little too loud. I pressed my hand over mouth to muffle her sighs and moans. As much as I loved those sounds I couldn’t risk us getting caught.
Quickes were not my preferred form of intercourse, I preferred taking my time with her, teasing her until she was begging, worshiping her body until she was a mess. Some things almost became a game with her like how wet I could make her without touching her or how many orgasms I could make her have in an hour. Her record was 7 at the moment. We were looking to push it too 10. Raven raked her nails down the back of my neck forcing a groan from me. My pace became harder, my hips slamming against hers.
I started rolling my hips against hers, my pelvis grinding against her clit. Her curse was muffled by my hand. She closed her eyes, breathing hard and heavy as I continued to bring her closer. I wanted her to cum, I needed it, i needed to feel her tight around my cock. I removed my hand from over her mouth so that I could rub her clit instead. She moaned my name, pressing her lips to my neck so that she would be quieter. A few more strokes and she came with a muffled cry, her walls tightening around my cock. I reached my own moments after, growling and filling her with my seed.
We remained there a few moments panting and coming down from our highs. I soon put her down, before tucking myself away. Raven made sure she looked presentable once again before doing the same with me. We exited from our hiding spot and headed down the hallway. Outside the throne room doors was Thor. “Ah there you are brother, I've been looking all over for you,” he smiled. “Well I'm here.” Raven headed inside to take her place alongside my mother. I stood beside Thor as he put his helmet on. Don’t get too excited brother, someone close to you might just have a few tricks up their sleeve.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This day couldn't have gone anymore wrong. Everything I had been led to believe was nothing more than the lies of an old man. Thor had been banished, Odin had gone into an Odin sleep and finally I'd found out my true heritage. I had been right all this time about not fitting in with the family, being the black sheep and now it all made so much sense. I was nothing more than a monstrous frost giant. Something mothers tell their children about at night to scare them. And now I was everything I had been taught to hate and fear.
It explained why I was never going to be king. He couldn't have a frost giant rule Asgard. I looked at myself in the mirror, disgusting with what looked back at me. Blue skin, blood red eyes. I couldn’t let Raven see me like this, she'd turn and run from me. I was the son of Laufey, rightful heir to Jotunheim. But I didn’t want that, I didn’t want to be his son. There had to be something I could do to show Odin that I wasn’t like all the other frost giants that I wasn’t like Laufey. I was a son of Odin, prince of Asgard.
Thor was right, we should have slaughtered them all when we had the chance. I’m sure I still could. It would end the constant feuding and tension. Maybe then Odin would be proud of me and see me as his son. I needed that acceptance from him so that maybe one day I could accept myself. I would resent him for keeping this from me but that could heal. What hurt more was that my mother had kept it from me. With how much she loved me I would have thought she could have been truthful.
I turned away from the mirror, my skin returning to its normal shade. I couldn’t stand to look at myself anymore, let alone be in my own skin. Raven entered our room and smiled softly at me. She'd been with my mother to try and help Odin. There was nothing any of us could do. He would wake up when he was ready. She pulled me into a tight hug, stroking my hair as if sensing my need for comfort. “It's going to be ok,” she reassured. I sighed, I wish that were the truth. Raven could still sense something was wrong and held me at arms length. “Loki, there's nothing we can do for your father other than wait. As for Thor I believe that Heimdall is keeping watch over him,” she continued.
I forced a smile and nodded. She was right. Not that those were my biggest concerns right now. “Hows your arm?” She asked. Panic filled me, “what?” “Earlier one of the frost giants grabbed your wrist. I know you hid it so that I wouldn't make a fuss.” “Its fine.” She still didn’t seem convinced, “there's something you’re not telling me.”
I shook my head, wanting her to drop the subject. I couldn't lose her too. I wouldn't cope without her. “Loki if there's something bothering you then I want to know what it is. It's part of my job as a wife to ease some of your burdens,” she explained. She really was the sweetest thing. Maybe I could tell her. I sighed and used my magic to show her my true form. Ravens expression changed to one of shock. This was it, she was going to leave me now. I reached for her, holding her hands tight as tears rolled down my cheeks.
“Please don’t leave me,” my voice came out small and pathetic. Raven frowned, pulling me into her arms once more, “why would I leave you?” “Because of what I really am, I’m a monster.” “You’re not a monster. Your Loki of Asgard, son of Odin, brother of Thor. You’re my husband. The god of mischief. That’s who you are. I love you more than anything and this is not going to change that.” I sobbed at her words, pressing my head into her chest. She stroked my hair to soothe me. “I don’t deserve you,” I spoke.
“Let me look at you,” she requested. I hesitantly stood up straight, letting her take my face in her hands. I welcomed her touch, leaning into it as she wiped away my tears. She studied my new features with a soft smile on her face. “Your beautiful. No matter what form you take,” she spoke. I felt my heart swell at her words. She kissed my forehead before moving down to my lips. I truly did not deserve her.

The sun has settled already and Loki still lays on his back when he hears a quiet knock at the opposite of his room. He frowns and pushes himself up, not quite sure what to make of it. The knocking comes back after a few moments and Loki finally realizes what he hears. He shoves himself off the bed, walking over to the big bookshelf that hides a small passageway between his and Thor’s room. When he pushes it aside, Thor almost rushes into his room without hesitation.
Loki just stares at him in complete shock and surprise as his brother starts talking, unable to make out a single word. Thor shouldn’t be here, he knows that, but he doesn’t know how to speak anymore it seems. Eventually, Loki manages to raise a hand and shake his head.
“What do you want here, brother?” he asks cold and looks up.
Thor just looks at him for a moment, startled by the sudden way Loki acts. Then, reconsidering his approach, his shoulders sink and he steps up to him.
“Why did you take the blame for what happened?” Thor wants to know and Loki shrugs.
“I encouraged you, put this stupid idea into your head, or not? It wasn’t right to let you take all the blame.”
“You knew he would banish me from Asgard, did you not?”
“I feared he would,” Loki admits and steps away from his brother. “As much as you are a pain to be around, I do not wish for you to be banished.”
“Thank you, brother,” Thor says sincerely and Loki nods in return.
“You should leave now before father finds out you are here,” Loki says without turning around. “I’m sure he will lift your punishment soon enough and everything will return to normal.”
Thor is silent for several minutes, but Loki doesn’t speak again. It’s a tactic he knows by now, Thor waits for him to say something to continue the conversation, but he doesn’t want to. He’s too confused, too shocked to even think about talking.
“I saw your arm, Loki,” Thor finally says and sends a cold shiver down Loki’s spine with his words.
“It’s nothing, forget about it.”
“What happened to it?”
Loki sighs and turns around. Thor deserves an answer, doesn’t he? After all, he had stopped fighting and brought them back. A simple answer is more than necessary, he thinks.
“One of them touched me, like Volstagg,” Loki admits, not looking into his brother’s eyes. “I killed it, but it did something to my arm. It’s gone now though, don’t worry.”
“It wasn’t like Volstagg,” Thor says and walks up to Loki, carefully taking his arm. Loki closes his eyes, he doesn’t want to see the way Thor looks at him. “Your arm was blue… why?”
“I don’t know,” Loki whispers, reminded painfully that this situation still scares him to the very core. “It started spreading and I panicked and killed that monster, then it stopped.” Loki pulls his arm out of Thor’s hands and rubs over the skin carefully, as if to reassure himself that it’s back to normal, that it won’t turn blue and cold again.
“Did it hurt?” Thor asks and tries to meet Loki’s eyes again. He doesn’t succeed.
“Just for a second,” Loki sighs weakly. “It was just cold, really, really cold…”
Thor is about to say something when a harsh knock startles them both and they share a panicked and guilty look. They nod and Thor quickly rushes back to the secret passage, which Loki seals again quickly before turning around.
“Come in!” he shouts and hopes he sounds as normal as possible. His heart beats fast and he tries to calm himself down by pressing his hand against it, hoping it will be enough.
“Loki.”
It’s his mother and Loki has never been more relieved to see her. He runs into her arms, hugging her tight and beginning to mutter apologies as she brushes a hand over his back to soothe him. For a long moment he can barely fight the guilt about the things he did, but it disappears slowly in the calming embrace and eventually, Loki manages to straighten himself.
Frigga cups her son’s face, smiling gently and pulling him onto the bed so they can sit.
“What have you gotten yourself into this time, Loki?” she asks and Loki gives her a sad smile.
“I don’t know, mother,” he sighs quietly. “I tried to make him leave again, but he couldn’t ignore being called a princess and started fighting.”
“Your brother is always a little reckless,” Frigga sighs and brushes a hand through Loki’s hair. “But why did you let him get this far to begin with?”
“We weren't supposed to even reach Jotunheim, mother. I told a guard as soon as I knew Thor wanted to go, but it didn’t help. He wanted revenge, I couldn’t stop him.”
“And you? Didn’t you want revenge too?”
“No, I…” Loki stops, wondering if she knows why this all started. She always had her ways to find out the truth, but she shows no sign of it this time. “I wanted to talk to him, that’s all. He misunderstood my words. I knew he was raging and angry, but I never thought he would go this far.”
“What happened in Jotunheim, tell me.”
Loki sighs, but he can’t refuse his mother’s request. He tells her about their journey through the icy wasteland, about Thor seeking justice for the frost giants invading Asgard, but knowingly leaves out the part where Laufey had spoken about traitors in Odin’s house.
“Laufey was willing to let us leave in peace and I told him we would. And then one of his stupid frost giants called Thor a princess and said he should run back home.”
“And then you fought,” Frigga nods and sighs. “Thor can be such a stubborn boy sometimes. Did anyone get hurt?”
“Volstagg, a frost giant grabbed his wrist,” Loki says, but doesn’t mention his own encounter of the same kind. “We managed to defend ourselves very well, mother. Thor finally snapped out of his fighting and ordered us to leave just in time.”
“Why did he change his mind?”
“I… I think I got through to him.” Loki takes a deep breath, bracing himself for the lie he is about to tell. “I was fighting next to him and managed to kill one of them when it grabbed my armor.” He holds up his hand to show the damage. “It was very close and I knew we had no chance because more and more were coming. So, I grabbed his arm, he looked at me and suddenly seemed to realize that we were outnumbered. And then we ran.”
“Oh, Loki…” Frigga smiles and strokes his head again affectionately. “I wish you two would stop with your rivalry and fighting finally, but I’m very glad you managed to make him stop.”
Loki feels as guilty as never before. He keeps talking as if he’s responsible for their return, when in reality it’s his fault that they even ended up in this situation. All because he had been jealous of Thor and wanted to ruin his big day. He looks at his mother with a heavy heart and takes her hands into his own.
“We are not fighting, mother,” he assures her quietly, trying to smile. “Thor wasn’t himself, he was blinded by revenge and anger. He’s not to blame for what happened, I am. I put this stupid idea into his head without wanting to, if anyone should be punished for it, it’s me.”
“You are very smart and cunning, Loki, but this isn’t on you alone and you know it.”
“Will father banish Thor?” Loki wants to know, but Frigga shakes her head.
“I talked him out of it, you don’t have to worry,” she says.
“What about… what about me?” Loki barely dares to ask, but he’s scared. Again, Frigga shakes her head.
“None of you will be banished, I promise,” she answers and kisses her son’s knuckles. “Your father is angry, but the damage that has been done is not as bad as it could have been and he knows that. Give him some time to calm down and it will be alright again.”
“So, we won’t get punished?”
“Your punishment will be bearable, I will make sure of that. You have to stay here for a few days, but it will be all good in the end.”
Loki is relieved, but he doesn’t feel like he deserves it. Being alone is no punishment for him normally, more of a reward, but right now it doesn’t feel like that. He wants to tell his mother about what truly happened in Jotunheim, but he’s too afraid of her reaction. Thor is worried because of it, but will she be too? Or does she know more than she tells him and will get angry when she finds out?
“I love you, Loki,” Frigga suddenly says, caressing her son’s cheek gently. “You and Thor are very different, but you are my boys and you are wonderful and I love you both endlessly.”
“I love you too, mother,” Loki says with a smile and carefully pulls her into a hug. He feels warm at her words and wishes that this feeling will never go away again, because it’s so much better than the guilt and fear he felt before. If only he could tell her, maybe he wouldn’t feel like a traitor towards her anymore then.
When Frigga leaves, Loki is more shaken up than he was before. Something isn’t right, he knows that, but he doesn’t know what. He lays back down on the bed, contemplating about the events of that day. Those patterns on his arm… they looked familiar when he saw them in Jotunheim. Would Thor recognize them if he asked? Would his mother?
Unable to sleep and still too drawn into the memories, Loki stands up and walks over to the small table near the bookshelf. He sits down and takes a paper from the pile next to him while dipping the feather he usually writes with into ink. Slow and careful, he lets the black liquid flow onto the paper and recreates the pattern he still sees when he closes his eyes. There is something secret about this, he knows it. Something forbidden that he’s not supposed to know, but does anyway. When he’s done, Loki leans back and holds the paper up to look at it. What he sees still makes no more sense than it did before.
Back in Jotunheim, when he had tried to reason with his brother to listen to Laufey, he had felt odd and somehow exposed and it wasn’t any different from the way he feels now. He closes his eyes, trying to go back to the moment they faced the frost giant king to find an answer somehow. Laufey had looked at them, but at the same time he had not looked at Thor at all, had he? He had looked at him , at Loki, and the way he did had confused and scared him. Why does this feel so important now and why does it feel like he’s falling and losing his mind? Is it coincidence or is there really something he doesn’t understand?
Loki shivers. It all doesn’t make sense, none of it does. He buries his face in his hands and leans over the table, wishing Thor would have just stopped being the stubborn oaf he always was and forgot about Jotunheim. He never wanted it to go this far, not even close. For the first time, Loki regrets tricking his brother. Whatever is happening right now, whatever dark secret he has discovered, it will not end well and he can’t do anything about it.
-----
Just like his brother, Thor, too, is worried and confused. Their mother had visited him and he told her what had happened, but all the while it had felt like his words were meaningless, as if she already knew them and he should be saying something different instead. What he wanted to speak about, however, was too confusing to bring up to her. He didn’t even know what had actually happened, what was he supposed to say anyway?
When he is left alone again, Thor feels anger creeping into his mind. He knows it was a stupid idea to go to Jotunheim, he doesn’t need his mother’s accusing eyes or his own sense of guilt to see that. He had not only put his friends in danger, but also his brother and the people of Asgard; all inexcusable flaws in his greed for revenge. If it weren’t for Loki suddenly pulling him out of it and back into reality, Thor is sure he would have kept fighting and they would have all died inevitably.
Loki… Thor can’t forget what he saw happening to him in Jotunheim. It still confuses him, but his worry is directed at his brother and just how terrified he had looked at him. Whatever happened, Loki had been scared and that, more than anything else, had pulled Thor out of his blood thirst. All those times they had fought together Loki had never been scared, not a single time. Seeing this expression on his face and the shock in his eyes had crushed Thor.
He doesn’t dare to go back through the secret passageway, fearing there might be someone else coming to either of them and discovering his escape. Their rooms are next to each other, it’s not a far way back, but it’s dangerous. And when he had been there the last time, Loki didn’t seem to want his company. He doesn’t blame him, but he wants to know what this all is about and it just won’t let him find any rest.
Losing his hammer is like losing a part of himself, but it’s not what keeps him up during the night. Thor knows he will get it back eventually and that he will be able to train again, but he’s not sure if what happened in Jotunheim will have more serious consequences than he can think of. That Loki took the blame for what happened, or had tried to at least, is just as confusing. He isn’t one to admit his faults, Thor always got a little annoyed by that, but this time it’s different and he can’t say why. Something happened in Jotunheim and it’s about to change everything drastically, he knows it.
When morning comes, Thor had not managed to sleep for a single minute. It’s not that he didn’t try, it’s simply that every time he closes his eyes he sees Loki’s scared eyes again and jerks back up. Finally, unable to just sit around any longer without doing anything, Thor leaves his room in search of answers.

Loki is only half Jotun
Sure, Odin admits to taking Loki and admits that Loki was the hope for a unified kingdom. But, like always with Odin, this wasn’t the entire story.
You see, the plans for unifying kingdoms were years in the making. Odin and Laufey had regular talks about alliances and trade...and enough time went by that an affair began. An affair that nobody knew about. Nobody could know. A frost giant and an Asgardian? What would people say? Both of these kings would be laughed off their thrones. Still, Laufey was overjoyed to tell Odin that they’d conceived, but Odin...the Asgardian was outraged. He tried to beat the pregnancy out of Laufey, but Jotuns are a tough breed. Nothing was going to break that pregnancy once it began.
It was in the rage of being left, abandoned, that Laufey carried out his people’s attack on Midgard. The realm Odin treasured almost as much as Asgard. He wanted to destroy it, wanted to make Odin hurt as much as he had been hurt. He knew it wouldn’t be long before Asgard’s fighting forces pushed back against the Jotuns, but that was the point, wasn’t it?
Laufey began the war fighting on the front lines, but as the pregnancy took hold he fell back. He returned to Jotunheim under the guise of needing to rule, though his condition was noted. Noted, gossiped over, but not spoken of directly. There were hunches and ideas about who had been the other half of the parentage for the king’s offspring, but dared not bring up names in his presence.
Ten months later, and the king gave birth. To a son. Obviously a son. Even with the mix of Jotun and Asgardian blood, it would have been impossible for Laufey to have a daughter. After all, his entire race was male, with lineages being traced through those who birthed them. Laufey was initially overjoyed, but was scared when he realized his son was small.
“Loki...my son...what have I done to you?” Laufey whispered as he held the baby in his single hand.
“My son...my son...” he repeated, over and over again, while tenderly wrapping his baby in blankets and holding him close to his chest. He needed to be most delicate, ensuring that he didn’t harm this young, tiny creature. This clear devotion silenced even the thought of Laufey casting out his deformed child, like all dwarf children were. Dwarfism in Jotuns is often a first sign of many other problems to come. Leaving a dwarf to die just after birth was seen as a form of mercy. This ignored the fact that doing so was a matter of necessity, not choice, since resources are always tight in a wintery kingdom.
But if anyone had a choice in this matter, it was the King. Laufey nurtured and coddled his new son for the first days of his life, but before he knew it, Odin was knocking at his kingdom’s door. Laufey hid his son in the temple, with the hopes that he would return for Loki after the battle was won. He didn’t relish in the thought of killing his son’s father, the man he’d loved enough to allow his seed to take root within himself, but he knew what he needed to do.
And of course Odin knew of Laufey’s condition, that he would be weakened by pregnancy recovery despite his ruggedness. They need not speak. They knew what they were fighting for. Because of that, they fought ruthlessly. Laufey wanted to wound Odin, wanted to make him feel the same pain he’d felt for months on end. He wanted Odin to feel the weight of the years-long relationship he destroyed. He wanted this pain to last. If he could’ve, Laufey would’ve taken both of Odin’s eyes. Still, Laufey fell, weak from the fight and exhausted by his new role as a parent. Odin held the blade to Laufey’s neck and asked “Where is it?” “His name is Loki, but I’ll never tell you where he is,” Laufey said in that deep voice, darkened with bitterness. “I’ll find him. I will. I’m not leaving here without him. Where...” but Odin remembered the place which Laufey had cherished most, that he’d thought of as a safe haven. So, he left his old lover there, laid on the floor of his throne room, bleeding and broken and, yes, weeping.
Odin went to the temple where their casket was kept, and found nearby a crying baby. A small, blue, screaming child. Odin picked him up and smiled, knowing this was his son. Something like hope flickered in his heart, with the idea that this son of his would one day bring about a permanent peace with Jotunheim after all the mess he had caused. Odin left with what was rightfully his. But Odin couldn’t hide his true feelings. He couldn’t hide the pain he felt every time he looked at his half-Jotun son, because even in Asgardian form he reminded Odin so much of Laufey. He never meant to hurt his son, his love child, but his pain was too great to hide.
And then came the day he dreaded, when his son, Loki, returned from Jotunheim with new knowledge. Odin knows Loki will know something new the moment he hears the news of their trip. This, above all else, is why he forbid travel to Jotunheim.
Laufey knows the Asgardians are coming. He knows the king’s sons are here. Sons. Plural. Yes, because a single heir isn’t enough for Odin, he needed two. He couldn’t just take Laufey’s heir and be satisfied, no, he needed another just in case. Laufey wonders painfully which one of these sons is his own, his stolen child. He stares down at the group of six Asgardians gathered before him. The one that introduces himself as Thor Odinson is brash and bold and outspoken, and Laufey wants to ask this boy he taunts if he is indeed his long lost son. But he knows Odin, he knows this knowledge is a secret. “Your father is a murderer and a thief!” Laufey says the words with a voice hard as stone, pushing back the pain that still climbs into his throat. One of them must be his son.
But there’s something in the way “brother” carries himself that tells Laufey this is his child. And how typical, for Laufey’s son to be the one given the wrong end of the bargain. The background child, the one that isn’t allowed to take the throne. The longer he thinks on this, the more right Laufey knows he is. He wants to ask the dark haired boy what his name is, but he’s too busy battling to take up this concern.
Loki, when he returns to Asgard, is in shock. He goes to the casket and picks it up, looking to replicate what he saw on Jotunheim. “Stop!” Odin can’t yell loud enough, while his brain works double time to find an explanation, though he’s unsure of how much Loki knows. “Am I cursed?” Odin thinks, but settles for “No.” “What am I?” “You are my son,” Odin says, feeling the words out in his mouth. His mouth, which is suddenly filled with his heart at the sight of Loki, blue skinned and red eyed and looking so strikingly similar to the man that bore him. “What more than that?” You are not just my son. You are the son of two great kings. “The casket wasn’t the only thing you took from Jotunheim that day, was it?” What does Odin tell his son? After all, he is his son. Half his son, at least. The son he’d tried to beat out of existence, but took into his home as recompense for what he’d done. If only he knew… “No. In the aftermath…” Odin speaks, and the word ‘abandoned’ fits itself into the sentence so easily. Such an easy lie, but complimented well by the truth of the words “Laufey’s son.” “Laufey’s son.” Loki murmurs, his gaze far away. “Yes.” Don’t ask how I know. Do not ask how I know. “Why? You were knee deep in Jotun blood, why would you take me?” “You were an innocent child.”  You were my child. “No. You took me for a purpose. What was it?” Odin gazes down at his son, the cause of so much pain and angst in his heart. His secret son. His first conceived child, only made younger by a difference in gestation. The tears that fill those bright eyes break his heart. Tell him. Tell him the truth.   “TELL ME!” Tell him- “I thought we could unite our kingdoms one day. Bring about an alliance, bring about a permanent peace…through you.” Well…that wasn’t too far from the truth. That wasn’t why he was conceived, but that was the intent beforehand. “What?” Loki whispers, his heart twisting in agony. Odin wishes he’d hugged his son more. He wishes he could hug his son and make him feel better. He wishes he could hug his son without it seeming so out of the ordinary. “But those plans no longer matter,” Odin promises, hoping this might make it better. “So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up here until you might have use of me.” “Why do you twist my words?” “You could have told me what I was from the beginning. Why didn’t you?” “You are my son. I wanted only to protect you from the truth.” And himself. Odin wanted to protect himself from the truth. That his son was not only his son, but a permanent reminder of a love that he’d cut short so violently. A love whose end almost spelled the end of Midgard. This guilty truth is one Odin would rather not admit. “What, because I am the monster parents tell their children about at night?” Loki’s voice climbs in volume, reverberating through the room and breaking Odin’s heart the rest of the way as he realizes what he’s done, and what he’s failed to do. This child that Odin had convinced himself would be better off in his hands now stands before him, crying, shattering into a million pieces right before his eyes. Odin reaches out for his son’s hand as the darkness overtakes him.
Laufey knows this is his son the longer he speaks to him. He knows this must be the boy he’d held in his palm over a thousand years ago. He cannot contain the smile that rests on his face as he listens to his son speak. What trickery, what mischief, what brilliance. He wonders, after the dark haired man has left, Does he know? Does he know I am his true parent? Does he know the truth? No, if he knows anything, it is what Odin told him. There is no truth there.
And Laufey feels such pride in strolling into Asgard beside his son. This man he knows is his son because he asks, “So, when all is said and done, what shall I call the new king of Asgard?” The words put a smile on the smaller man’s face, before he answers “Loki, of course. King Loki, doesn’t that have a nice ring to it?” Loki…my son…Laufey smiles back, his heart beat growing faster. The moment draws near, and Laufey knows that he will finally have his time. It’s only fueled by getting to knock Frigga out of his way.
Laufey leans down and pries Odin’s eye open, and he can taste excitement and fear and rage burning on the back of his tongue, like molten metal. “It’s said that you can still still hear and see what transpires around you. I hope it’s true so that you may know that your death came at the hand of Laufey.” Laufey relishes in the words, as all of his scorn and ire come to fruition. He raises a hand…but he’s stopped. A burning heat strikes his back. Laufey lifts his head to see Loki, wearing a horned helmet, brandishing the same weapon Odin used against him over a millennia ago. “And your death came by the son of Odin.” Laufey opens his mouth, searching for the words to explain the truth, to tell Loki who he is, but it’s too late. There’s no time. Loki doesn’t bother listening to him speak before obliterating him.

The Slutty Web One Weaves
Title : The Slutty Webs one Weaves
Chapter NO. 7 of 10?
ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine Loki’s Asgardian wife learns women write fanfiction about him on a trip to Midgard. She’s edgy for the duration and lets him have it when they get back.
Author: lokilover9
Rating: M
Astrid apologized, agreed to everything and Thor lead them to a location to hide their vehicle.
"Loki will be pleased to know your helping."
"I should have thought to from the start." She regrettably admitted.
Frigga hugged him. "Thank you for agreeing to take her back should this fail." ***** For eight days, their plan worked until her Father paid the palace an unexpected visit.
Odin was in the front courtyard boasting to some Einherjar about beating an Embassador at charades, when their commander, Nedvar, interrupted. "Ignoramus at twelve o'clock, Sire."
The King groaned. "Splendid. It's Rodderick the dipshit."
"Give the word and we'll pitch him over the wall."
"Tempting, but what do I tell my daughter in law?" Odin hated the occasionally unkempt Lord who preferred perfuming to bathing and greeted him from behind a hedge. "Welcome Roddy. I look so forward to your unscheduled visits."
The disdain was mutual with Roddy feeling Astrid could've done better than wed whom he considered a criminal, Prince or not. "Greetings, Heiness. Might you be so kind as to share the knowledge of when your son intends to return?"
Astrid's parents had two daughters, her being the youngest and known to the Royals as her Father's least favorite.
"That depends on whom you miss more. Asgards lovely Duchess, or my son? Her beloved pardoned Prince. I can give either a message."
"Miss? Impossible as Astrid's practically taken up residence again. Should I relay you wish she ceased luring her Mother from bed crying, or send her home to disturb your sleep?"
"I wasn't aware she'd returned from Midgard. Has age required you hearing aids, or were you night prowling in hopes of accessing Ingrid's locked bedchambers again?"
Roddy frowned and crassly replied. "The lovely Duchess returned with Frigga. Is your wife telling lies, Allfather? Mine would never."
Odin cackled. 'Festering dimwit. Ingrid is banging my valet.' "You shall regard Frigga as 'Queen' and with utmost respect."
"My apologies. She is celestial, yet your defensiveness is revealing."
Roddy liked poking subtle jabs at the Royals and assumed Astrid a barrier to consequence. Most were directed at Loki and the King, but he'd worn Odin's patience too thin. "Insult anyone in my family again, including your daughter and face repercussions. Be gone, Rodderick."
"So soon?"
Odin's jaw clenched. "Leave egghead before I crack it on the pavement. Nedvar, escort him to the gate."
"Gladly, Sire."
Roddy followed, hardly perturbed. "One might expect the offering of a beverage after a stuffy carriage ride."
The commander jolted the gate closed. "Try opening a window Lord Heskin. If you're thirsty, there's a pub nearby rumored to host naked wrestling in the basement. Some days it's ladies, others gents. Enjoy."
When Odin entered their chambers bellowing to the Allmother, her lady in waiting sent word through a chain of servants to a handsomely paid Stableman. Familiar with an alternate route to Astrid's parents, he arrived ahead of Roddy and rushed her to the observatory.
Thor received her call and left immediately. 'Shite, brother. Where art thou?' ***** Following two days in Paris, Loki and Brianna cruised Lake Laguno in Switzerlandand. She questioned him about Asgard and her grandparents, yet when asking the circumstances behind his adoption, Loki spun a tale of half truth.
"Jotunheim had a King named Laufey who owned a magical cube that opened bridges to every realm. Long ago, he used it to attack Earth. Grandfather bravely defended your realm, forced his army back to Jotunheim and demanded he relinquish the cube. Laufey refused and continued attacking Asgards army until most of his people died. Grandfather found me alone amidst the rubble and decided to adopt me."
"You didn't tell him who your parents were?"
"I was an infant and the only survivor for miles."
"Where was Laufey?"
"He'd gone into hiding like a scaredy cat."
Instead of finding his comment amusing, anger washed over Brianna. "He abandoned a helpless baby to freeze? Introduce us and I'll use him as target practice."
Loki booped her nose. "I'm honored you wish to avenge me, but Laufey died and still suffers in the afterlife."
"How?"
"King scaredy cat will never have the privilege of meeting you."
Brianna smiled. "Or you. Was Grandfather hurt?"
"He lost an eye, but recovered nicely."
In Amsterdam, they visited the Artis zoo with over 900 species of little animals, an aquarium, planetarium and Zoological Museum. Further confirmation Brianna's his was how quickly she learned enormous amounts information and remembered the smallest details when later initiating a quiz. Since confessing to the burglaries, Loki was curious how she knew the homeowners were abroad and worked it into their conversation.
She replied like it was all in a day's work. "Dory accompanied me to different parks in fancy neighborhoods around Jersey, posing as my babysitter. Between eavesdropping on adults and questioning kids, it's amazing what you can learn inside a sandbox."
"Questions of what nature?"
"Like, 'I'm new to the neighborhood and love my big house. Where do you live?' Or, 'I'm going to visit my aunt Matilda's lavender farm to make soap.'"
"How was that helpful?"
"Most thought it dull and bragged of their families planning grander trips. Once attaining addresses and dates, I'd stake out their houses and proceed from there."
"Ah. With Dory as the lookout?"
"I left her in shelters or nearby motels. She never figured out how I managed, but by the third burglary, stopped worrying whenever I'd sneak away and send her a text." His eyes widened and Brianna rose a palm. "Dory lacked powers and I wouldn't risk her arrested because of me."
Why lecture when she'd acted out of desperation to find him? "You're a good friend, Og Min Lille."
"Thanks. I regret the stealing, but pranking the authorities was fun."
Loki thought it something innocent like tipping off their hats, but discovered her mischievousness paralleled her intelligence.
"I always struck at night and at one house, four police were investigating inside when I turned on the lights, flushed every toilet and set off their sirens. At the third, I poured a large olive oil path onto the kitchen floor, slammed a pantry door and watched two come running. One slid into it and fell, while the other amusingly contorted himself until the first tripped him. They sure swear a lot for the good guys."
"Brianna." He playfully scolded. "Say you did nothing worse."
"I'd be lying."
"Oh?"
"At the last house, the master bedroom had black drapes and life size models of a lion, wolf and a fang baring polar bear on its hind legs. Weird people. After aligning them near the door, I closed it, extinguished the lights and tripped the alarm. The police came, shone a flashlight inside and from the foyer, I made the bear roar."
Loki chuckled. "Did they scream?"
"And shot the bear."
"What?!" He led her someplace quiet. "From now on young lady, all pranks must meet my approval or…" While pondering means of discipline, he blurted what first came to mind. "...All shoulder and piggy back rides are discontinued."
He made both fun, thought Brianna. Bumping into things when her hands covered his eyes, then flipping her over his head for tickles. Or feigning valiant attempts at shaking her off to escape enslavement.
~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~ "Have mercy and release me!" He pleaded, captured during a picnic.
Brianna popped him on the head with her fake sword, a stick with a bushel of leaves at its tip. "Cease your begging, pheasant! I rule this realm, appoint you my new zombie slayer and hunter of all things chocolate. Fail and be fed to puppies!"
Loki set her down and knelt on one knee with a hand to his chest. "A frightful demise your majesty of cuteness. I humbly accept."
"Daddy, I'm supposed to be fierce."
"Eh he he he. Sorry." ~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~
Brianna deliberated his threat and wittingly proclaimed. "Are you not the God of Mischief and I your offspring?"
He arched a brow. 'Don't laugh or she'll never take you seriously.' "I mean it."
Brianna had already pulled some under his nose. A boy who'd aggressively budded before her at a park slide discovered his shoelaces tied together after nose diving into the sand. A woman at a restaurant who harshly berated a server had red wine spilled onto her Gucci bag. Minor sprinklings of karma she happily administered.
"But you're still a prankster."
"Rarely and without endangering anyone." 'Shite. I'll need to keep that fib under wraps.'
Brianna crossed fingers behind her back and feigned defeat. "O-kay. Can I have a snow cone now?" ***** After seeing the Northern lights in Norway, they'd returned to their hotel where she became oddly sombre.
"Has something upset you?" Loki asked.
"During our travels, I've seen many people with children. It's obvious they're loved, but my family..why, Daddy?"
Her pain pierced Loki's heart as she clung to him. "People can do terrible things for incomprehensible reasons, but you're my little girl now and I'm overjoyed you've come into my life."
When her tears ceased, she unexpectedly opened up about the women. Her first memory was of Jillian singing her to sleep at age three. She and Claudia taught her to talk, walk, bathe and dress herself, brought her toys, fictional and educational books. Yet it was Jillian who'd paid her the most attention, their visits consistently monitored by Hannah. A person so controlling and void of sentiment, Brianna wondered how the trio became friends. The woman opposed their closeness and the first time Brianna defended her Mother, she was forbidden upstairs without Hannah present, who ordered Claudia to report otherwise. This became impossible when the two landed full time jobs. With Jillian delegated homemaker, Hannah was forced to trust her. Over the past year, she'd broadened Brianna's computer knowledge, snuck her for walks to a hidden trail entrance off the main road she'd marked with glow in the dark tape, taught her outdoor safety and survival skills and always stressed keeping everything secret, especially Brianna's magic or Hannah would separate them for good.
"Jillian knew of your powers? Why have you never mentioned any of this?"
Brianna frowned. "She bread me to thicken her purse. No amount of secrets and added kindness makes that excusable or her worthy of commeding."
An undeniable fact Loki avoided arguing. His daughter was hurting and preaching Jillian might've experienced a change of heart could impede their relationship.
She halted his conflictual thoughts by bashfully asking. "Do 'you' love me?"
"Very much, Brianna."
"Can I stay with you forever? Please? I'll move to Asgard."
Loki doubted she comprehended the gravity of her words. "Forever doesn't mean a month long visit as we previously discussed. It involves permanently residing on another realm thousands of miles from Earth where the landscape, culture, even people's wardrobe's are entirely unfamiliar."
"I know. Devoid of space travel, would it be any different if I moved to India, Antarctica or say..Bhutan?"
"I suppose not. I'm sorry, Bhutan?"
"It's a small country just south of China. I memorized Earth's geography and most of its cultures in one month."
"Very good." 'Genius supreme. I must catch up.' "Then you're willing?"
She yawned, proudly raising her chin. "Affirmative. I'd like to see those sandbox dwellers top that adventure."
Incredibly relieved, Loki chuckled. "You've ten remaining seconds to gloat, sleepyhead. Ten..nine.….three, two, one."
"Hey, you said those last digits awfully fast."
"It's time for vampire pajamas, your fierce and Royal Highness."
"A story too? Will you conjure The Empty Grave by Jonathan Stroud?"
"The Empty 'what?'" He amusingly queried. "No way, Jose. I've chosen three options of popular children's literature from the internet. The Cat in the Hat, Whinnie the Pooh, a rather peculiar name for a bear and Charlotte's Web."
"Isn't the last tale about a spider?"
"Yes."
"They're creepy. I choose that one."
'Mother would be impressed.' "Hurry then before zombies find us and eat my brains!"
Brianna shouted from the bathroom. "Nobody hurts my Daddy! Huyya! Take that you fiendish barbarians! Uh oh."
Loki rushed in upon hearing glass crack and found her standing on the bathtub ledge. "What did you do?"
"I was pretending to fight them off with my hairbrush when it flew from my hand, struck that picture and landed in the toilet."
He laughed renewing both with magic. "Your toothbrush is safe, yes?"
Loki finally thought her asleep when she reached out for a hug.
"I'm sorry, Daddy. I forgot to say I love you too. Goodnight."
His heart swelled twice its size. "Goodnight, Og Min Lille." ***** Next they ventured to London and a budding lover of history, Brianna asked to visit The British Museum. While viewing a dinosaur skeleton from an upper walkway, she pointed into the crowd below.
"Daddy, isn't that Tony?"
He took a gander. "Well, well. Iron Man it be."
"Who's the strange lady he's with?"
"Pepper, darling. She often wears wigs to avoid recognition."
Her eyes brightened. "Please, can we say hello?"
"Inconspicuously. I'll him send a text." Daddy concealed his phone. 'Greetings kinky crossdresser. What brings you to Londinium?'
'Loki???'
'Yes. Act casual, we're hiding.'
'Holy shit! We're on vacation and at the Savoy in the Royal Suite. Can you meet us there ASAP? It's important.'
'We're on the ninth floor. Rendezvous in an hour?'
'Ha! We'll be there with balls on!'
'Come again?'
'🤪 Bells, dammit! Bells!'
'😂 Brianna can't wait.'
Tony hurriedly guided Pepper through the crowd. "Excuse us..pardon us..excuse us."
"Where's the fire?" She whispered.
"Daddy Snowflake's in town. Hustle, Butch." ***** Their door opened and Brianna ran to him. "Uncle Cootyoodles!"
"Little Warrior! Am I happy to see you!"
The couple listened with enthusiasm about everywhere she'd been, then Tony asked to speak with Loki alone.
Virginia led her into their bedroom. "Wait 'till you see all the cool stuff I bought."
"That'll keep her busy." Said Stark. "Pepper's a London shopaholic. So why the vanishing act? Thor called me."
Loki scoffed. "I did tell him not to."
"Don't be angry. Astrid returned and wanted to contact me."
"Why? You knew nothing."
"She didn't believe him. Neither did your Mother and Thor worried they'd show up at the Tower."
"What?! Our Mother came to Midgard in search of me? Shit..shit!"
Stark told him everything and Loki's face was unreadable. "Nope. There's nothing weird about staring like I've grown a nipple on my face."
"Did I mention it's pierced? You're saying 'my' brother, Shakespeare in the park, lied that extensively for me?"
"Yes and sent them back to your Dad to expand on it. What's everyone's problem with an awesome six year old anyway? Is that why you didn't go home?"
"Becoming a parent, you're suddenly bombarded with complex decisions centered around one tiny person you never fathomed loving so deeply, much less an indisputable desire to protect above all else."
Stark smiled. "Look at you. The master of Sheisterism all growed up..whose dodged my question."
Loki sunk into a chair. "Maturity aside, my life is a mess. Asgards people still regard me a traitor, Astrid and I are constantly arguing and it's completely unfair of me to expect she Mother a child she didn't bare and Odin's my grandest worry for classified reasons I've become an insomniac over. I can't subject Brianna to that. Her life has been dreadful enough."
"Not anymore. She has you now. I endured shitloads of public and political outrage over changes to Stark Industries. 'Wealth aside', I thought it my doom. People adjust and opinions fade. Astrid will come around once they meet. Look at the number Little Warrior did on us."
"She 'is' irresistibly charming."
"Whatever gramps issue is, arrange for her a few rounds with the old coot. She'll straighten him out."
Loki smirked, picturing Brianna dancing circles around the Allfather. "My Mother would buy ring side seats."
"See? The bulk of your family is on your side. Let them help."
"As appealing as that sounds, Astrid will expect hours of explanation I haven't the energy to convey. I love her, but she 'is' a drama queen."
"Eligible for an academy award."
Loki's eyes narrowed. "Piss off, flying human."
"Thor's willing to talk without the wifey knowing. I've a burner phone as you tend to appear in the strangest of places."
"Mm. Like when I ran into you in a sleazy massage parlor near Carnegie Hall?"
Loki was still a bachelor then, but Tony wasn't.
"I didn't know they offered sexual favors until the masseuse grabbed my dick. They weren't listed on the brochure."
"Eh he he he. I'll call when I've a chance."
They clammed up when Brianna exited the bedroom. "Can I go Daddy, please?"
Pepper followed. "Sorry. I blabbered the Tea shops chocolatiers add finishing touches to their masterpieces at this hour."
"You may." Said Loki.
Tony slipped Little Warrior fifty euros. "Buy me an eclaire and keep the change. Badass ate mine."
"Yay! Thank you!"
They left and Stark unpacked the phone. "Here's your chance while Brianna's absent. Text him, 'Garage?'" ***** Jane distracted Astrid while Thor sat in the cabin of his truck and the brothers soon cleared a lot between them.
"I'm not upset you deceived me anymore Loki, nor is Mother. Yet I'm worried Father's making her life miserable. Are you fearful he'll scorn Brianna?"
"Not up for discussion and relax, brother. You've been gone a while. Mother's gonads have grown."
"She's taking male hormones?"
"I meant she's less meek? Have you dropped the toaster in your bathwater?"
"That only happened once." Thor defensively replied. "I was late for a waxing of my package and hastening making breakfast. Nor have I recently smoked Jane's medical marijuana. She threatened torture were there not enough to ease her menstrual cramps again."
Loki deadpanned. "Norns you're a tit, fruit of Odin's loins.' "How's Astrid?"
"Coping. Jane said she'd do anything to see you again."
"Coping amidst stewing over my bedding of another 'Midgardian hoe' I've fathered a child with, and the humiliating circumstances involved."
"Believe me, brother, she too is no longer angry and the diaries contents stayed within Stark's walls. It isn't my story to tell."
"Your software needs reprogramming, impersonator. Thor Odinson was never so thoughtful of his sibling."
The blond laughed. "He's turning over a new leaf."
Loki had sought privacy in another room and suddenly heard Brianna desperately calling him. "I have to go. Don't tell Astrid we spoke yet." Upon opening the door, she threw herself at him.
"Daddy!"
"What happened?" He asked Pepper.
"We neared the shops door when she gasped, bolted for the elevator and started frantically pushing the button."
Brianna was trembling. "Darling, why are you frightened?"
"We can't stay here, Daddy! She's down there!"
"Who is?"
"Hannah!" She cried. "I'd know that red headed witch anywhere!"
"Shhhhh." He soothed. "I promised they cannot hurt you, remember? Stay here with..."
Brianna wrapped herself tighter around him. "No Daddy! Don't leave me!"
She was so distraught, he couldn't. "I won't, Min Lille. Shhhhh."
"Virginia's gone." Said Tony.
Loki's head shot up. "Back to the shop?"
"Yeah. Said the witch looked familiar and went on a hunt."
"Fuck! Get her back here!" Brianna jumped from Loki's voice. "Sorry Min Lille. Tony, now!"
"Erm..why?"
"Because they've met! If Pepper confronts her, she'll vanish!"
If I could Turn Back Time, I’d Still Choose This
TITLE:  If I could Turn Back Time, I’d Still Choose This
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter 48
AUTHOR: wolfpawn
ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine that when Odin found Loki on Jotunheim, he did not take him to raise as his son, as Frigga was pregnant at the time, instead he was given to a normal Aesir family. Years later, Loki meets Odin’s daughter Sigyn, and trouble ensues.
NOTES: Final chapter. I hope you enjoyed the journey.
‘Thor?’ Thor glanced around at his mother. ‘Where are you….?’
‘Away, for a few days.’ Was all he replied as he continued his journey.
‘You are the Allfather, you cannot just leave for a few days.’
‘I am the Allfather, and I can do anything I see fit.’
‘Is…..is she alright?’
Thor pursed his lips for a moment before answering, taking into account his mother’s remorse for her actions against her daughter. ‘She’s fine.’
‘Good.’ She smiled slightly.
‘I will be back soon. Perhaps consider opening the lines of communication with her, she has stated before that she forgives you.’
‘I am sure she could not mean it.’
‘Well, that is your choice.’ Thor stated, getting Mjolnir and swinging it fast toward the Bifrost, leaving his mother to consider her options.
When he arrived, Heimdall was smiling widely. ‘You are late.’
‘I had an unexpected delay.’
‘Yes, I am aware.’ Heimdall chuckled.
‘How are they?’
‘Good, though I should warn you, you are required to up your game.’
‘I am the Allfather, who could trump me?’
‘King Helbindi has gotten them pets.’
‘How in the realms did Sig react to that?’
‘He sought her permission beforehand.’
‘Yes, that would work I would imagine.’
‘There is also something she needs to discuss with you.’ Thor looked at Heimdall worriedly. ‘You shall see on your arrival.’
‘Heimdall?’
‘Nothing bad, I promise.’ He smirked. ‘Safe travels, my King.’ He stuck his sword into the Bifrost and opened the portal to allow Thor through. When Thor arrived on Alfheim, he smiled at the pleasant day before swinging Mjolnir again and going in the direction of his sister’s home. When he landed there, he looked at the building, silently wondering how his sister had come to live as she was.
Not long after her arrival, the forge was sold and a slightly bigger home and forge were constructed, allowing for Loki to continue working as an etcher and engraver away from the stifling heat of the forge itself, while Dafydd and Tomás worked on the general blacksmithing. The larger premises allowed for more work, which in turn, meant more production. But the home arrangements remained the same, Sigyn and Loki living with his parents.
The fact that it was now public knowledge that the daughter of the Allfather and the lost son of Laufey had met, fallen in love and wed without knowledge from any of the monarchs had become almost revered as being a fairytale love story, with two beautiful children included. Their Aesir/Vanir mother more than proud to show off her sons in their natural state, something many did not think would occur, knowing her to be a powerful seidr wielder, many assumed she would have them look more Aesir. The idea never once even crossed Sigyn’s mind and when someone mentioned it to her, she was enraged at the idea her sons were not perfect as they were.
Dafydd and Loki’s friendship developed more, with Loki knowing he could trust Dafydd with his life. Sigyn and Dafydd became somewhat close also, the elf seeing what drew Loki to the beautiful and kind-hearted woman, and Sigyn knowing that in their forced time apart, Dafydd had been a true friend to Loki. She would often come to the forge and joke that they were too busy laughing and talking to get anything resembling work done.
Thor did not even get to the door before it opened, the greenish tinge to the seidr that opened it gave him his warning before he was all but bowled over by two young children. ‘Haha, not this time.’ He beamed, able to keep his footing.
‘We’ll get you, Uncle Thor.’ Narfi giggled.
Thor’s smile fell. ‘I feel that is meant somewhat ominously.’
‘No, Uncle Thor, we are going to get you because we are growing and you are not, so we will be strong enough soon.’ Vali laughed, hugging onto his uncle.
‘You will never be stronger than me.’ Thor flexed a muscle.
‘We don’t need to be stronger than you, we just to be strong enough to beat you.’ Vali pointed out.
Thor stared at his nephews. ‘Oh, you are your mother’s sons.’
‘Yep.’ Nafi started toying with his seidr. ‘Is it true Mamma turned you into a frog?’
It was utterly unheard of for someone of high standing to allow their child call them anything other than “Mother” or “Father” in Aesir society. Proprietary was seen as a declaration of one's stature in society. But Sigyn had disregarded that completely and was allowing her sons to call her anything that made them happy, “Mamma” was how they referenced her, and should they elect to call her that at three thousand years old, she would still not reprimand them for it. Thor encouraged it also, seeing the relaxed atmosphere his sister’s home had in comparison to the strict upbringing they had.
‘I am not answering that, because it will not be information used for any good.’ Thor insisted. ‘Where is your Mamma?’
‘Gone to help Ms Higgins, she will be back in a minute.’
‘And you Dad?’
‘In the forge, getting something done for Mamma.’ Narfi put his finger to his lips. ‘But, shh, it’s a surprise.’
‘I see.’ Thor nodded.
‘Allfather.’ Thor turned to see Tomás looking at him. ‘You’re here.’
‘I promised I would be, Sig would not accept an excuse outside of Ragnarok.’
‘Indeed she would not. You just missed King Helbindi and Laufey. They were here yesterday, giving my grandsons more ways in which to create mischief.’
‘I heard, show me these new friends of yours.’ Thor urged, allowing the boys to direct him where they wished for him to go.
He was in the middle of playing with his nephews and their new pets, creatures by the name of gerbils that were dainty and in all honesty, quite cute when they heard the door opening. ‘Mamma, Uncle Thor is here.’ Narfi called out
‘I know, I heard the Bifrost.’
‘Is Ms Higgins alright?’ Tomás asked, seeing his wife make her way in before Sigyn had a chance.
‘Oh you know her, she will outlast us all.’ His wife dismissed. ‘Allfather.’ Thor gave a small nod in response. ‘I see you have been commandeered to do childminding.’
‘It is not a chore when it is your own kin.’ He smiled, looking at Vali, who was sitting on his lap.
‘No, not really. With both Loki and Sigyn working, it would not do well to see it any other way.’ She smiled.
Thor nodded in agreement. Sigyn had fought hard to finally be allowed do as she always wished, and though she was older than most others when they started, she proved quickly that she was able to catch up with what was required in her training, much to her delight. Thor was the one to ensure she had everything she needed to set herself up as the local healer. He rose to his feet as soon as he heard his sister speak, but it was Loki who entered first, earning a large smile and a handshake. ‘Finally, I hope they didn’t wind you too badly.’ Loki indicated to his sons, who were both grinning at their father from the floor.
‘Not yet, though I think they will if they keep going as is.’ Thor chuckled. ‘Have I offended you, Sig?’
‘Not that I am aware of, but you have only been here for ten minutes.’ Came Sigyn’s voice. ‘I just need to put this away or I will be looking for it later. What is new on Asgard?’
‘Nothing much. King Ásvaldr is sending a council for talks.’
‘Ásvaldr, of Niflheim?’
‘The one and the same. After the peace treaties with Muspelheim and Jotunheim, they wish to come to the table.’ Thor smiled.
‘Not bad for being king with five hundred years.’ Sigyn commented.
‘Are you coming in at all, I feel odd….really?’ Thor ceased talking as Sigyn walked into the room and then looked between her and Loki.
‘Well, I was going to tell you, but when you said you were coming to visit.’ She smiled walking over to him and embracing him tightly.
‘’How...many?’ He asked, looking at her rounded stomach.
‘One, thankfully. I could not deal with two at once again.’
‘We are getting a sister.’ Vali beamed happily.
‘A girl?’ Thor looked to his sister for confirmation, she nodded causing him to smile in elation and turn to Loki and congratulate him. ‘Looks like Fandral’s daughter will have a little friend.’
‘What?’
‘Yes, Fandral and Tara are having a daughter. I am the only non-parent out of my peers.’
‘Well, if you want to change it, change it.’
‘I rather the role of doting uncle now. And I will get to do it again soon.’ He beamed at her stomach.
‘I think you are looking forward to this almost as much as we are.’ Sigyn laughed.
‘I love being "Uncle Thor", it’s all the fun of parenthood with only a fraction of the responsibility.’ He beamed, causing his sister to smile. ‘Mother asked for you.’ That caused her smile to fall. ‘I stated that she should consider…’ He noted how Sigyn seemed almost protective of her stomach on the mention of their parent. ‘I told her to consider trying to make amends.’
‘Perhaps.’
‘Father…’
‘There was never any chance.’ She stated sadly. Since their father’s passing, Sigyn had not mentioned him. As far as she was concerned, after her initial time of trying to accept his indifference, she had thought him already dead. She did not return for his funeral as she felt it was hypocrisy for her to do so, instead, she minded her own business and continued her life. He had no time for her alive, she had no time for him dead.
‘No, he chose his path.’ Thor sighed, thinking of how the whole court argued with the king, threatening mutiny and standing by their allies and Jotunheim should he decide to not step down and give the crown to his son, they tired of war, they wanted a new slate. After the revelations with how he wished to deal with Jotunheim and with the securing of peace through Sigyn’s marriage, along with how the past came to light and how it made people feel angry and uncomfortable, it was agreed that Thor was ready to take his father’s place. Odin went into an Odinsleep and did not wake after Thor gave the Jotnar the Casket back. Thor knew his lack of making amends with Sigyn was something that ate at Frigga, who of late seemed to spend more and more time asking for her. ‘But should she show true remorse?’
‘I cannot say right now.’ She looked at her sons. ‘If they were not good enough…’
‘Remember when I went to Vanaheim, idiotic, naive, and proud?’
‘How can I forget, though you are the same now.’ She joked.
‘A year changed me. I thought about your kind gesture, and how I never even thought you would do such things, and when I returned...I changed, considerably.’
‘Into an incredible man and good king.’ Sigyn smiled.
‘Five hundred years is a long time, Sig.’
‘Do you think she has changed?’
‘Personally, yes.’ Sigyn mulled over his words. ‘I understand your reluctance, especially considering…’ He indicated to her stomach.
‘I cannot….’ She shook her head, she rose to her feet. ‘I don’t know.’
Loki immediately went over to her, giving her his support, Sigyn leant in against him as he kissed her temple. ‘You don’t need to actively seek her, and if she does extend the hand, you can decide when it happens.’ He rubbed her stomach where he knew their daughter was prone to kicking, only to be rewarded with a nudge.
‘Sig?’ She turned to look at her brother. ‘You have to think of you first, you and my little niece. You asked if I think she is changed, I am being honest with you. But you do not owe anyone, not at the cost of your happiness or well being, that is your priority.’ He insisted. ‘Well, yours and your family’s.’
‘Why now though?’ Sigyn pondered.
‘I don’t know.’ Thor confessed.
* Frigga looked at the letter in her hand. She had read it several times that day, and many more times the days before when she found it, open amongst Odin’s belongings she had kept from his desk, where he kept his most prized possessions.
Father,
I know you do not care, but perhaps in my youthful naivety, I thought you would listen to my words on paper, since this way, we will not argue. This way, I can speak and maybe, just maybe, explain it.
I know you hate me, and in many ways, I hate it myself, both myself and you for everything that happened. My mistake and your reaction to it.
I messed up terribly with my actions, I knew that the moment I realised why my body was changing, but I cannot say I wish things had been different because if they had been, I would not have my sons or their father. I love them, all three of them, with an intensity I cannot begin to explain.  If I could turn back time, I wouldn’t.
I never meant to disappoint you, yet I clearly have been doing so since my birth. I am sorry you are disappointed that what you wanted in a child is not what you got, but I will never say sorry for being me. I love me, I take pride in who I am, even my bad traits, I take pride in that, because it is who I am.
I know you don’t care, but to me, no one has ever made me feel as loved as Loki has. I am not disregarding this family for some mere whim. Loki is the first man to ever care for me, truly care for me as I am and not because of some sense of familial duty or my title and I know you will disregard that as me simply being foolish, but know that, to me, the knowledge that he cares and loves me as intensely as I love him, means that I realise my worth and those worthy of my of loyalty.
I wish this had been different. That when you saw Narfi and Vali, that you felt happy and wanted to be a grandfather to them. I wish their births was reason to celebrate to you, and not a form of shame. I can only hope that the day will come when you will want to get to know them.
I’m sorry.
Sigyn.
Finding her letter, her attempt to explain herself caused Frigga to feel more guilt than she ever knew to be possible. She realised just how incredibly dismissive she was of her daughter, thinking her too young and foolish, but it was clear to her now, she was wrong. She would do anything to turn back time, she would do so much so differently.
If I could Turn Back Time, I’d Still Choose This
TITLE:  If I could Turn Back Time, I’d Still Choose This
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter 30
AUTHOR: wolfpawn
ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine that when Odin found Loki on Jotunheim, he did not take him to raise as his son, as Frigga was pregnant at the time, instead he was given to a normal Aesir family. Years later, Loki meets Odin’s daughter Sigyn, and trouble ensues.
Fandral sat looking at Anastasia, scared at what the woman would say.
‘So, what is the story here?’ She demanded. Sigyn merely sighed and pursed her lips with a raised brow. ‘I see.’
Fandral stared between them, not understanding the silent conversation being had.
‘I see he collared you, like a dog.’ Sigyn raised her head slightly to show her aunt the contraption on it.
‘I didn’t…’ Fandral began, staring at her in terror.
‘Not you, her father.’ Anastasia dismissed. ‘What does that do, Duckie?’
‘Controls my seidr, alerts my father to conversations I should not have and most fun of all, prevents me saying anything to alert people of certain aspects of my situation.’
‘So you cannot tell this boy anything?’ Anastasia pointed to Fandral, causing Sigyn to shake her head.
‘Wait, you cannot tell me, not will not.’ Fandral realised the reason for how Sigyn acted when he asked particular questions.
‘I cannot, I would have been honest with you if I could, he has done the same with Thor too.’ She admitted.
‘What can you tell me?’
‘She can tell you nothing, I cannot tell you much either, for my nephew has particular restrictions on my words also.’ Fandral’s eyes widened. ‘I don’t think you realise just how deep this situation is boy, but it can go no further with you so in the dark. I have recruited someone to help us, someone not as restricted.’
‘Yet still somewhat so?’ Fandral noted.
‘Yes. He cannot say all either. My nephew cannot stand the idea of this getting out, so he silenced all those who know. The only grace we have is he is not as young as he was, back when he was of the opinion that the best way to silence people was to do away with them. There is a loophole to all of this though, if you figure it out, it can be spoken of in your presence.’
‘Who?’ Sigyn asked curiously
‘You have had someone looking out for you here Duckie, you knew it, but not as much as you thought.’ Anastasia smiled before turning slightly. ‘Thor?’ Her great-nephew walked into the room grinning.
‘You…’ Sigyn looked between them.
‘When you said Aunt Ana knew everything, she was the only one I could think to talk to about this, to try and fix this.’ Thor explained.
Sigyn bit her lips together and rose from her seat to rush to her brother, embracing him tightly. ‘Thank you.’
‘I have your back Sig, I promise.’ He hugged her back. When she finally let go enough, he turned her to the table. ‘Have you this room locked down?’ Thor asked.
‘I do. Mother will think she is hearing you blabber on about your time in Vanaheim, and that I am bored senseless as Fandral adds to your story. Same with the staff.’
‘Staff are safe though, right?’ Fandral asked.
‘My very own handmaid was the one that revealed everything.’ Sigyn stated coldly.
‘What happened her?’
Sigyn sneered. ‘Four months as a snake for a snake, it took six healers, Mother and Gungnir to reverse it.’
‘You always had a mean streak.’ Thor commented.
‘Thor, tell this boy what you can.’ Anastasia ordered. ‘He has been in the dark too long.’
‘So, if I guess something right, you can confirm it.’ Fandral checked.
‘Yes.’ Sigyn confirmed.
Fandral looked to Thor, who seemed uncertain. ‘I will follow you, no matter what, Thor, you know that.’
‘Sigyn was being sent off realm for her actions for the past year or so, Father was going to forbid her return, he thought her a danger to the house.’
Fandral looked at Thor, appalled. ‘Sigyn?’ He pointed to her. ‘Sigyn the Loyal, betray the House of Odin, how? Run to Laufey?’ There was a silence before Fandral looked at her in shock. ‘Did you?’
‘Not exactly.’ Sigyn explained. ‘I was forced into a situation where conversing with him was the only option. For the record, surprisingly calm and not bloodthirsty.’
‘We will have to take your word for it?’ Fandral did not know what else to say.
‘I was thrown there, I did not seek him, but he found me, as I tried to find a way off.’
‘Why were you thrown there?’
‘I was fleeing here. I was going elsewhere, but the Bifrost was diverted en route.’
‘What?’ Sigyn’s face made him realise. ‘The Allfather sent you to….’ She nodded. ‘Why?’
‘I messed up, more than usual.’
‘I don’t understand.’
‘Sigyn met someone….unsuitable in our parents' eyes, and….’ Thor tested as much as he could, but could feel something akin to a tightening in his throat in his mind. ‘Things happened and our parents did not take it well.’
Fandral looked at Thor, then back to Sigyn, who looked deeply hurt by the mention of it alone. ‘Oh. Is he…?’
‘Cast off Asgard, with his parents, they are never allowed return, never permitted to speak with Sigyn or about her again.’ Thor looked at Sigyn, who clearly was heartbroken at the thought of it. ‘I wish I could say more, but I cannot.’
‘There is more? How can there possibly be more?’ Fandral looked amongst them. He came to a conclusion but felt strange saying it in front of Anastasia. ‘Was there….did you…?’
‘Yes.’ Sigyn rolled her eyes at his lack of ability to say the words. ‘You know, for one known to partake in that, a lot in court and who brags about it, you’d think you’d be able to say the words.’
‘Well…’ Fandral eyed Anastasia.
‘Boy, with all that has occurred, and with as long as I am around, I am damn well versed in the actions youths partake in. Do you think I sat around waiting to bestowed with how to enjoy my husband and him me?’ Fandral and Thor looked at her shocked while Sigyn smirked, trying not to laugh. ‘Men, do they think we know nothing?’ She asked Sigyn.
‘I find it funny that they partake in such activities, with women I might add, then are surprised women know about these things.’ Sigyn laughed.
Anastasia chuckled. ‘Indeed.’
‘So, the Allfather found out?’ Fandral asked.
‘Per se.’ Anastasia answered.
Fandral could not comprehend what they were saying exactly with that answer but understood enough to know that Sigyn’s actions had angered her father. ‘And this man...you loved him?’ He ventured. One look at Sigyn’s face told him everything. ‘You still do.’
‘Yes.’
‘So casting you to Midgard was to prevent you seeing him again? Or was that because of the idea he had you would exact revenge for the Allfather’s actions?’
‘Both, but mostly the latter.’ She explained. ‘I am sorry to drag you into this.’
Fandral sighed and rubbed his hands over his face before looking at her, and then at Thor. ‘I accepted this before hearing any of it because Thor asked me to assist. It is far more complex than I ever could have imagined, but I do not regret my choice to assist.’ Sigyn and Thor both gave him identical grateful looks. ‘What happens if this farce is revealed?’
‘I will not allow any ill fall towards you, my friend.’ Thor swore.
Fandral nodded his head as he looked at his friend, before he frowned and looked at the hand on his arm, he followed it, as though half expecting it not to be Sigyn's, but to his surprise, she was indeed attached to it and the look in her eyes one he had never seen from her with genuine meaning before bar when she swore they would not be wed. ‘Fandral, I need you to swear something, please.’ He nodded. ‘I know we have asked too much of you as it is, but if my parents find out, I need you to feign ignorance.’ He frowned. ‘I will take all the blame for this, I will say I played you and your true affections, but you have to swear you will act as though you were truly invested in this, please.’
‘But you….’
‘You do not understand everything fully, if this is found out, I am banished anyway, it will make no difference to my punishment. I will take full blame for this.’
Fandral shook his head slightly. ‘I cannot possibly…’
‘You have to, you do not understand Fandral, I cannot live with getting you in trouble for this, you do not deserve it, after all you have done for me.’ Sigyn beseeched.
‘I cannot allow you take full blame, I have merely a slight bit of this clearly complex story, but all I can see is that you are being persecuted for a matter of love. You clearly still love him for Norn's sake. I…’
‘I am sorry. I never wanted you to question all of this. My father has wronged me, I will never pretend otherwise, but he is a good king, and he does still remain king. I am not doing this to revolt against the king, merely because I cannot pretend what happened never did.’
‘You are stronger than I am.’
‘Please,’ She dismissed, ‘I knew that since I was seven hundred.’ She joked with a wink.
Fandral and Thor chuckled as Fandral took her hand in his. ‘I will not pretend that I know the full extent of your suffering, Sigyn. I cannot even pretend to, but I cannot deny the sheer strength you possess to continue as you do.’
‘If only you knew, my friend.’ Thor shook his head as he spoke.
‘Now with that much cleared up, tell me about Vanaheim, Thor.’ Anastasia smiled as she began to eat.
Fandral leant towards Sigyn slightly. ‘She is mental.’
‘I know, why do you think I adore her so much.’ She smiled in return.
