Done All Wrong
Spock x FemReader
Tumblr media
An: uh...this didn't quite go as expected so I'm sorry lol. By time noticed it was off subject it was too late soooo I deciced to go ahead and finish it. But don't worry I'm working on a fic more on subject to what you requested! 😭
Request: Spock x Reader where reader works under Spock and is terrified/attracted to him and thinks he hates her bc of his blunt Vulcan behavior? But in the end discovers he secretly is attracted to her and feels protective of her.
Warnings: embarrassing situations, anxiety, and some adult language.
Summary: You have a certain pointy earred alien on your mind for multiple reasons. You should hate him like he hates you but you can't bring yourself to. Much to your dismay and embarrassing moments ensue as a result.
You sigh staring at the specimen in front of you. A boring plain leafed plant from one of the recent expeditions. Ordinary nothing special. Quite lackluster and disappointing. Not someone anybody would care for. Someone? Gosh you need a break, this is getting sad. Projecting your angst on to a poor little plant is defiantly a new low. You shake your head and sigh running a hand over your face. A few of your fellow science officers send concerned glances your way. You flush slightly embarrassed.
'I need to get back to work,' you think. You know that you can't keep pushing of your work because of your silly angst. Especially since Sp- he would notice. 'Don't need to give him a reason to nag me.' Well not like you'd have to give him one. Lately it seems all he can do is nag and belittle you. Critiquing each and every little thing that you do. And yet you still lov-
"Ugggh, get it together lieutenant and stop acting like a child." You groan under your breath aggravated.
You pick up your pad and look at the plant to continue your observations. Aroma? Earthy and warm. Size? 11.9 inches. Form? Stalky lean. Leaf shape? Spatulate. Flower color? You lean forward, silly black blossom. Your heart races but you take a deep breath and continue. Leaf color? A lovely shade of green. It reminds you of the faint flush of-
"Is everything alright?"
"!" You let out a gasp and whip around. And of course wouldn't you know it, it's the last person you'd want to see. The object of your frustration and affections, Spock.
Spock's eyebrow twitches up. "My apologies I did not intend to frighten you."
"No! No it's fine. I just wasn't expecting you to just show up so sudden is all..." You put a hand over your racing heart. You can feel your cheeks burn with embarrassment. You wish you could just disappear right now. Maybe if you ju-
"Lieutenant, are you well? You have been distracted since you arrived for your shift. Aswell as your excessive sighing and your flush cheeks. Are you sick? If so I will have to implore you to go to sick bay." Spock admonishes you.
"I- I am not sick! I admit I'm distracted but...It's not- I'm not sick." You stammer. You can't believe he's calling you out like this, so loud and very public. It's humiliating. Your can't even look him in the eyes anymore. Because you're certain if you did he'd peer into your mind and learn as to why you been so distracted. You'd rather die then for him to find out. He's already cruel enough. Gosh, how could this get any worse?
And you to your horror you realize, quite easily is the answer. While avoiding his burning yet apathetic gaze you notice your coworkers glancing at the scene. Judging and knowingly. Some whispering, some pointing. They all know. They know why. They can tell. Your feelings. Oh my god...Oh god...Oh god-
Spock either doesn't notice your panic or doesn't care because he continues to chew you out. "Are you certain? Because it appears you are flushing even worse now. But if you are not sick would you care to explain your actions? Particularly talking to the plant you are supposed to be inspecting. That is certainly not an action a healthy and sane person would take. Perhaps you need to see a counselor or be reliev-"
"Just stop!" You snap you can't help it. You're so overwhelmed. Everything is too much. All the eyes looking at you. And him. Why does he have to hate you so much. Why... Oh god and now you've yelled at him! You've just made this into an even bigger scene. Thank god there's not too many people in the labs this late at night. But everyone will soon hear about this...oh god you're fucked.
You begin to tear up. You look into his eyes finally. His eyebrows are raised almost holding an expression of shock and maybe concern? Who are you kidding as if he could care. Even if he could care he'd definitely not care for you.
"Why? Why do you hate me so...so-" you're cut off by a small cry that escapes. You quickly throw a hand over your mouth to stop any more from escaping. Tears begin to run down your face. You panic, you need to get out as soon as possible and spare yourself any further embarrassment. You dash out of the labs. Leaving behind a shocked and confused Spock.
°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°••~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°
"I simply do not understand why she was upest."
"You don't understand why she was upset? You don't- My god how could someone so smart be so stupid!" Leonard McCoy exclaims exasperated.
"You think that I am smar-"
"That is not the point you pointy eared hobgoblin! Goodness gracious...look." McCoy sighs and leans forward in his seat giving Spock a tired glare.
"You insulted and embarrassed the poor girl in front of all her lab rat coworkers. Hell if I was her I would have done a whole lot more to you then shout and cry. I'd give ya what for." McCoy states plainly punching his palm with his clenched fist.
"I see...it was not my intention to embarrass her nor do I hate her."
"You don't?" McCoy looks at him in disbelief.
"What? Of course I do not hate her nor harbor any ill intentions towards her."
"Goodness Spock... you sure have a way of showing it. Look, I talk to her. We're close and let me tell ya you've been giving her some hell. Ya leave her as ill as a hornet. If you don't hate her then why do ya insist on angering and embarrassing that poor little lady?"
"I- I was unaware I was angering or embarrassing her." Spock says quietly eyebrows furrowed and slightly lowered. Truly he would never wish to upset you. He just wants the best for you and to help you be the best you can be.
"My god...you like her don't you? Heh... Spock you're in deep." McCoy laughs at Spock's expense.
"Please do not tease me. What should I do?"
"Your asking ME for advice? I never thought I'd see the day. My my my you do have it bad."
Spock gets up to leave but is stopped my McCoy's hand that pushes him back into his seat. "Yer not goin anywhere. Sit right there I'm gonna grab some drinks. We're gonna need it."
•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°
"You've got five minutes to explain." You snap at him while leaning in your doorway.
Spock nods, " I am deeply sorry. It was not my intention to anger you or to embarrass you. Nor do I hate you, it is quite the opposite. I- I deeply enjoy your company and I find you fascinating. You make me feel although I do not know how to show it. But I will endeavor to do better if you could forgive me? And if you return my feelings?"
You stand in shock. There is no way this is really happening. "Pinch me."
"No, why would I wish to harm you? Did I not explain well enough I do not wish any form of harm or discomfort to you?" Spock says looking offended and confused.
"Nonono sorry, its just an expression. I just can't believe this is real. I must be dreaming."
"Dreaming?"
"Yes, because there is no way that this is real. That you're basically confessed to liking me and asking me out! No, its too crazy..."
"You are not dreaming. And yes I do 'like you'. I also would not mind if you would allow me to court you."
"I-I really?"
"Indeed." Spock looks at you. Wondering if he's made a mistake. Perhaps you don't feel the same? Or he's hurt you too much. Or any other reason.
"Yes! I mean, yes. I would like that very much. I've liked you for awhile now. Um but just please try not to be so mean?" You say with a bright beaming smile.
"Of course." Spock nods seriously.
"Can I please hug you? I'm just so happy!"
Spock nods and stoops down to wrap you in a gentle hug. You wrap yourself up in his lanky form. Maybe the plant is loveable after all.

I just had an idea! So think about this we still are in zoom for classes and Aizawa is just teaching his class? And then we come in saying like dad or other things trying to get his attention or help how would us react ?? would they go Yandere?
YANDERE CLASS 1A X READER X YANDERE PARENTS ERASERMIC
Tumblr media
The coronavirus had changed many things in the average lives of the 1A students, like the new restrictions on going off-school perimeters, the mask-wearing in public classes, and most drastically, the zoom classes from inside their dorm rooms. The only class that was allowed outside their hero class, and even that was done privately one on one. These kids spent alllllll day locked up in their rooms, it was suitable for more introverted students like Yokoyama or Jiro immensely enjoyed it, they didn’t have to speak to many, and the schoolwork was so much faster. But extroverted students, like Kirishima or mina, or maybe even bakugo, loathed it.
The only human interaction they got was with teachers, or with students through a screen. Bakugo spent all day blasting music, screaming at anyone who knocked on his door, mina was exceptionally irritable, and Kirishima pretty much spent all day watching Spanish soap operas. Not to mention the fourteen other students practically dying in their dorms. They all desperately needed something to cheer them up.
Then they all saw you.
It was small, just a peek. It was around the end of the school day, English with present mic. Or in other words, the worst class of the day. They’d all been crammed onto a zoom call with the oh-so-bubbly blonde, half asleep, longing to go outside and save some child from a pile of burning rubble. Or even get attacked by the LOV! anything- literally anything other than listening to this man ramble on about conjugations and verbs. Bakugo was screaming with his mic muted, Deku was legitimately watching the green paint on his wall dry, and Mina was learning a dance from thirty years ago. Everything was so dull.
Then. You came along.
“To conjugate a word in English you have to first take the subject and place it behind the action, then you-“ Mic rambled on, clicking through a PowerPoint to teach these poor kids English. He was cut off not long after, the door behind him creaking open with a looonnnnggg squeak, mic stopped speaking, expecting it to be his other husband getting home from work. The mic was in quarantine at the moment, working from home, bored. After the loud creak, I showed you, dressed in a pink pajama ensemble, hair pulled back into two low pigtails, a tired look on your face even though it was 3:00 in the afternoon. Probably the aftereffect of the “special tea” you’ve been drinking, the second they all saw you. They. Fell. In. Love.
“Papa? I can’t find my cat- have you seen her?” You peeped out, clearly not recognizing the zoom call, mic whipped his head around at your voice, immediately muting his microphone. All of the students could see how mics face brightened up, how he smiled at you as he spoke a few words. Pointing to the small cat in the corner of the room. Immediately the tiny girl picked it up, turning around to say goodbye to Mic. The class was mesmerized by that far-away look in your eyes. Then you saw the screen and realized what you had done, your face went pale, and your eyes widened. Immediately you ran out of the room and closed the door. Mic let out a chuckle and unmuted, just to be bombarded with questions.
“Who was that?”
“Why is there a girl in your room Mr mic?”
“Is that your daughter?”
“Does she go to ua?”
The smile completely wiped off of his face, realizing what his entire class of students just saw. The girl who went missing not long ago. They all now had witnessed her in person. Oh god oh god oh god. It’s fine, not the end of the world, he can play this off, this call isn’t being filmed, this is just a coincidence, you just happened to be there. No one will know.
“Yes yes that’s just my daughter, I told her not To come in here, sorry for the interruption class, now let’s get back to-“
“What’s her name? How old is she? Does she go to u.a?” Izuku quickly mumbled, taking out his notebook. He had to know who this girl was, she was just- just so amazing. Was this a quirk? This has to be a quirk right? He just asked the questions everyone was thinking about, an obsession clouded every single student's brain at that moment.
“A-ah- invested aren’t we? Her name is y/n, and she’s homeschooled so no. Now back to learning the English literature, because we are in English class”
“Wait but-“ Izuku attempted to continue questioning, but Mic clicked the mute button on all his students. That’s one plus of this miserable pandemic, whenever you don’t want to hear someone, you can just turn them off. that’s enough about you, let’s hope that all the students forget about it, forget about you. Goddamn. So much for letting you walk around without quirk canceling cuffs, your quirk is… special. It makes a sense of protection for anyone who lays eyes on you, makes everyone feel the need to keep you safe. It always works against you though, that’s why your “parents” pulled you out of school. They’ll forget about it. They will.
Flashback: they didn’t
days passed by and every single class that Aizawa held with his students, along with Mic, was filled with questions about the young girl they saw in the camera a single time. some students were subtle, and some were not, some would just ask if he had any other children and mix the topic of you in, and some would outright ask to see you (aka our spiky-haired friend bakugo). It worried both of your parents, not only did a large group of hormonally influenced teenagers not only know of your existence, but your quirk has taken over their minds. it was like a parasite.
So, the two would hope for the best and shut down the students every time they asked about you, instead assigning homework to anyone who asked. It wasn't long before they started doing research on you, looking to find you on any platform, every social media app. any google searches, nothing.
it was like nobody knew that the two well-known pro heroes had a daughter, which was quite odd, considering the paparazzi follows them everywhere. While a few of the students gave up hope of finding who you were at least, others took to... less legal ways of research, paying off anyone who would be up to searching the deepest darkest crevices of the web.
Until one night, a month or two after catching glimpse of you, Izuku Midoria was sent the results from his barely legal endeavor. he read through the pages with wide eyes, you would be surprised what someone can do from a computer. Pages upon Pages of info on a screenshot he had taken of this mysterious girl. He didn't understand what it was about her that enthralled him as it did, but oh boy was he caught in this trap.
something that caught his eye though was a specific photo of a newspaper article reading:
"MISSING
reported October 7th 2018
11 year old female missing after going on a walk with her dog (golden retriever), dog was found, child was not. Bearing h/c hair, s/c skin, e/c eyes, and around 5'2 in height. wearing a blue striped sweater and jean shorts, hair tied in short ponytail.
Any information found by civilians should be reported to nearest hero agency, or police organizations"
It was you, it had to be, it was your description exactly, and a photo of you, just younger than what you looked like on camera. this little girl in the newspaper, aged four years, yup, it was you. But why was a missing little girl in his homeroom teacher's house? So, he sent it to Ochoco, and asked for her thoughts, who then sent in to mina and tsuyu and momo, and by the end of the day the information was out for the public of class 1-a to see.
Then a groupchat was made, and theories were shared. Of course, they couldn't go to the police about this, because they would be accusing some of the top heroes of a serious felony, and no one would believe them, but they couldn't just do nothing. After all, you just seemed so helpless, so small, like you didn't know how to protect yourself like you needed them to protect you. And they would.
Bakugo proposed just finding where they live and "storming the fuckin house" to find you, but many objected, they would be fighting top heroes, and their teachers at that, teachers that know how each and every one of these students fight. Maybe they could try to talk to you if you just so happen to show up in the background again? but what is the chance of that happening?
Then The person who started all of this conversation, deku, made the best and most effective proposition.
blackmail.
It was a simple plan, one that no one could mess up, that could guarantee results. They wanted to see you, not for a few seconds, not just a glimpse, no, they all wanted to look at you for hours. so that's what they would get. Each student sent the information on you, the missing child posters, the newspaper articles on the mysterious disappearance, everything.
To say the next zoom class with Aizawa was tense was an... understatement. There Aizawa was, sitting in his leather rolly chair like normal, acting like nothing happened, not saying anything, just staring at his students, and they stared right back.
" I understand you all have made a discovery, and I have a reasonable explanation for it" He started, focusing his camera, nobody spoke up after that they just continued to stare, continued waiting for him to explain with his "reasonable explanation".
"You see, my husband and I adopted y/n over the summer when we were visiting the u.s. No one else was going to because of her quirk, so we took it upon ourselves as heroes to save he-'
"Cut the bullshit, I know what I want, and it is not to hear you drone on for an hour. We could anonymously send this to the press, and you'd be knee-deep in accusations." Bakugo interrupted, being specially fed up with the fact that this man that's supposed to be a law-following hero committed such a crime, and doesn't even have the conscious, to tell the truth once found out.
"If anything is released then you will never see her again, I know what she does to people, what she's done to your minds, and I understand it. We could... agree upon something." Nobody wanted that, they NEEDED to see you, and although they didn't know why they knew they did. and they didn't need an explanation.
"I want to see her, every meeting, every class, in person or not. I. Want. To. See. Her." Mina continued Bakugo's sentence for him,
"As her father, I will warn you all, if you so much as think about her in the wrong way, I don't care if you're my student, I will hang you with my scarf." Everybody looked at Mineta's screen after he said this, knowing damn well you weren't ever going to speak to him, nobody would allow it. Not in a million years.
"We would never hurt her. we swear on it"
And with a sigh, Aizawa huffed and scrunched his eyebrows, looking more than upset, looking more than anxious, he looked terrified.
"class dismissed, see you tommorow"
---
"sweetheart? can you come to talk to me and papa for a few moments, you can go back to reading your book in a second, but we need to tell you something" Your daddy's voice piped in from the living room, you'd been lying in bed and reading one of the only books they'd allowed you to have, it was odd that he sounded so serious, they never had that tone with you. so you made your way down the stairs, only to be met with the sight of your parents, sitting on the couch and looking grim.
"Yeah. uh- what's happening? am I in trouble?" you questioned, it was a very rare occurrence that they looked upset around you unless it was getting angry that you were trying to be grown up when you weren't. that was common.
"no baby, weve just been thinking. About how lonely you seem to be when we're working, all you have is the cats and occasionally the birds by the window. So we decided to enroll you into U.A, the school we work at, as a teachers aid" Aizawa lied through his teeth, immediately a smile lit up on your face, you'd been begging them for ages to let you go to school, even if it was just a little low budget school. this was amazing!
"oh my god! really! thank you thank you thank you! I love you so much! when do I start! what classes am I in? will I get to have real friends?" you spluttered out a multitude of questions, the little sparkle in your eye that had been lost for weeks finally had returned, it was cute, and the parents were glad it made you this happy.
Usually, kids would be VERY upset about having to go back to school, like having summer break end, but you were the opposite, the last instance of freedom you had before you stayed home 24/7 was our little middle school, with no parents hovering, no childish teaching methods, just you and school. and then they even took that away. so regaining that freedom was amazing!
" Hold on sweetheart, it's a big step to go from homeschool to high school, so most of your classes will be with us, you'll be in class 1A, and any times where you arent with us, you will be with one of our trusted friends. do you remember ms? midnight?" The minor inconveniences to your newfound freedom didn't dampen your mood.
"that's okay... but can I have friends?"
"Of course sweetheart. as long as we approve, there are so many good boys and girls in my class, you'll love it" Aizawa replied, thinking about the little bastards making him thrust his daughter into the scary new world. fucking bastards. he and Mic caught eyes for a moment, before continuing.
"You start in two days.
be ready" --------------------------------------------------- I swear im not dead, just been working on my drafts so i can clear out my inbox, if you see any grammer flaws, no you didnt.
anyway, this account has 1,700 followers now, and I'm doing a special. someone give me an idea in the comments plz.
have a wonderful day anon! and all those who read! bye bye!

For this post ... If you haven't been asked yet, Magolor ~
YESSSSS omg this is perfect bc i have a LOT of hcs about magolor
attraction headcanon: i see him as pansexual !! leaning maybe a little more towards guys though
gender headcanon: i think he just doesn't rly care about that. like he says he's a guy out of convenience but i don't think he cares or thinks about that too hard
a ship i have with this character: oh boy. oh MAN. i have quite a few ships with magolor LOL so ill just go through all of them and explain my reasoning behind them i guess?
magoranza: GRAHHHHH.... i love them a lot. i think its my number one ship w him. i like to think that its smth that happens very gradually too. maybe they don't really like each other at first/find the other a little annoying but then eventually they get closer and catch feelings idk.... i like to imagine them as part of the same best friend group (w marx and susie too) so they get to spend more time that way since theyre together more often. also i just think they contrast each other nicely!! like ally who turns out to be an antagonist + antagonist who turns out to be an ally....auauauau
magochilly: THEY'RE VERY CUTE...!! its a little particular tho bc i dont necessarily like/agree w the way it was portrayed in the manga (making magolor this obsessive over chilly is very weird and creepy) but i think the fandom version of magochilly is adorable so im choosing to make my own too. i kinda just see them as magolor being all loud and open abt his love for chilly and chilly just being a little shy abt it but reciprocating when its just the two of them bc hes not used to pda and all... idk!! its very sweet to me
magoroach: so like. this one kind of started as a joke LMAO,,, the little animation scene in the main menu of star allies where daroach steals the lor and magolor runs after him kind of defined their entire relationship to me ngl LOL. like, magolor is a snarky piece of shit but daroach is someone an even BIGGER snarky piece of shit and i think thats smth magolor doesnt expect so he gets riled up p easily by him. i dont rly ship it that seriously tho i mostly see it as like,, smth they just Have eventually but its never that serious
magometa(?)/metalor(?): i dont know the ship name but LMKSDJJSDKL THIS SHIP IS FUNNY TO ME bc i already have a hc that meta knight fucking HATES magolor after the events of krtdl, so their rs to me is basically just the "you should be addicted to shutting the fuck up" "you wanna fuck me so bad it makes you look stupid" meme. again more of a joke ship that i plan on making very specific fanart of eventually but i dont rly ship it that seriously
thats all for the ships. ahem. back to normal business
a brotp i have with this character: MARX!!!!! i think marx and magolor are best friends but in the way that they can't stand each other. they hate each other but they're always together. they enable each other. they bring out the worst in one another. if one of them died the other probably wouldn't care. they complete each other they start shit together they-- YOU GET ME. i love them. best worsties. worst besties. etc etc. i could talk abt their dynamic all day they mean so much to me
a notp i have with this character: m*rxolor im sorryyy (censoring so it doesnt end up in research tags)... there's nothing wrong w the ship! it's just not my cup of tea bc i see their rs as strictly platonic. also obvious one but him and kirby bc kirby is a child and i hc magolor to be a young adult so.
a random headcanon: i like to imagine that magolor has more cat-like attributes that arent just shown on his appearance. like he probably has a cat tree in the lor that he just uses for fun. he reacts to lasers the same way cats do. he probably purrs idk? if u dangle smth in front of him he'll stop what he's doing to catch it
general opinion of this character: I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM SO MUCHHHHHH he might be my current fav character of all times :] he's so fun and cringe (lovingly) and loveable!!! he makes me very happy. i could talk abt him for hours i could draw him for hours i could watch video essays abt him and abt kirby's return to dream land for hours too he is my everything my little meow meow my nyagolor (heart emoji) (heart emoji) (egg emoji) (gear emoji) (cat emo

I just had an idea for an AU that i will never write!!!
What if Prototype! Bakugou was reborn into cannon Kacchan!!!
The reason why he started to be rude and mean to Deku is cause he was trying to make Deku leave him.
Yamikumo died saving Bakugou. That guilt never left him. Suddenly he was reborn into a new familiar life. Sure! Somethings are similar. Like his looks...... But some things are different. Instead of Yamikumo, there is Izuku Midoriya. And at first Katsuki didn't know. He thought he would never see Yamikumo again. And while that hurt...... If it saved his life, Bakugou was okay with it.
Then in the bridge.......he realized. And he pushed Izuku away.
And he knew he was hurting Izu. But as long as he hated Katsuki........he wouldn't follow him, right?
So some things would change!!! First Bakugou would probably be more powerful. Since he knows more stuff now, he just has to train.
Prototype Mitsuki would have been more gentle but since she is different now.....well.....Bakugou became slightly different.
(I don't want to think of Mitsuki as bad but she just doesn't know how to parent. She will fucking burn down the world for her child)
Ngl I was thought of this and Bakugou being a little shit and acting like his old self to scare his classmates was funny
Bakugou:*gives a big smile* Wow! That was super funny dude! If only you put as much thought into your work, then you would be the smartest in the whole school!!!
Kaminari:
Everyone:
Izuku:* praying for Kaminari*
Kaminari: Imma die.
Add more if you want! I wanna see people's opinion of this au!!

What would Rei do to make Dabi not trust her around his own child? Like we all know he’s not the best dad but he might have a limit to what he’ll tolerate happening to his kid.
So what does Rei do to break that limit and cause him to lash out and never let her near his kid again?
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Dad Dabi is > Brother Dabi by like a... MILLION TIMES.
Dad Dabi is so so protective of his baby. I mean, he really does treat her like glass, thinks she's too pure for this world, too pure for him. He doesn't know what he did to deserve you, but god is he grateful for the ray of sunshine. His initial plan was to keep you hidden from everyone, but then you got hurt by his rival and well, he had to contact Natsuo to save your life. Then one thing lead to another, and his family found out about your existence.
Now, Dabi was very cautious about who to let you be around and not. You already know he kept an eagle eye on Enji, forcing you to sit in his lap so that you wouldn't go running to his father, who was putting up the whole facade of "Oooh I'm a changed man now and I love my wife and my children, and my first grand child!" Yeah, Dabi doesn't believe that Enji wouldn't repeat his abusive behaviour with you, and he'd much rather watch the world burn and crumble than let a hair on your head get hurt.
Dabi is a little wary of Shotou because of how much he likes to just stare off into space, but that's cause of Enji, okay? So he trusts his siblings and mom around you too, happy that you bring joy into their lives the same way you bring joy to his.
What he didn't expect was for you to whine and beg him not to drop you off at Rei's, saying that she forces you to dress up or doesn't let you play. Dabi thinks you're just messing around, and he doesn't have time to inquire you because he gotta go to LoV meeting or something.
Anyways he drops you off at Rei's (after making sure Enji's not around the house). But he's half an hour into his ride, when he realises you forgot your backpack in his car, and he knows you like to show you off your stickers to everyone and he doesn't want Rei to call him that you're having a breakdown because you can't find your backpack.
He drives back home and walks in to give you your bag, only to hear your loud wails. He runs into his mother's room, thinking that you had realised you your bag was missing. But he walked into the room to see a sight he never imagined: Rei was holding a brush and you were crying, your little form cowering away from her. She hadn't even noticed Dabi, so when she raised the wooden brush to hit you again, she was surprised when someone caught her wrist.
Dabi pushed her away from you, bending down to check on you. He could see your cheek was reddening from where she had swatted you. Picking you up, Dabi rubbed your back, and hushed you, telling you its okay, he's here now.
"Touya, I-"
"Shut up." Dabi never thought his voice would hold such venom for his own mother, but after the sight he'd witnessed, he's surprised its not deadlier.
He walked towards the door and moved to the living room, settling you on the couch. Giving you your backpack, he told you to buys yourself while he comes back in five minutes.
He goes back to Rei, who has now over her episode, and is crying in the corner as she realises how she fucked up. "Touya, I'm so-"
"How dare you?" Dabi was mad, so mad at the one person he'd trusted his angel with. He made sure to yell at her, remind her of all her shortcomings, of all the abusive shit she'd done to him as a kid too, even if it wasn't physical, it affected him. And until now, he was going to let it slide and excuse it for Enji being an ass to everyone, but she should've known better- should know better now.
Had it been anyone else, Dabi would've incinerated them the moment he saw them hurting you. But some part of him knew Rei was messed up because of Enji, and besides, you were in just earshot. He couldn't risk it.
"You're never going to see her ever again. And if you ever try to hurt her, I will end you." He told her, after calling bull on her whole "Oh Touya, it was just an episode, a mistake! All because Y/n said she didn't want me to do her hair-"
When Dabi walked out of the room, he saw you giggling on the couch as Enji made airplane sounds while he fed you the ice cream. You looked better now, but that didn't mean he liked/trusted Enji. Picking you up, he began walking towards the door, knowing that Enji just heard his conversation with Rei.
"Bye bye, Grandpa! I love you." The words made Dabi roll his eyes as he walked out of the house. Just because he hasnt hurt you, doesn't mean he's a good guy.
If he's learnt anything from today, its that he can never trust anyone around you, ever. Family or not, all Dabi knows is that he's the only one who can keep you safe.

Sapnap x reader !p !child reader
Pronouns used: none specified!
Warnings: swearing, mentions of death, casinos
➳➳➳➳➳┄┄※┄┄➳➳➳➳➳
𝐊𝐢𝐧𝗼𝐤𝗼 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝗼𝐰??
Quackity was telling you all of his plans
He rambled on for hours of his ideas for casinos and how he was going to marry Karl and sapnap
It sounded great
He had his whole plan set up! He even had Sam helping him with the building
But then he left
Just like everyone else
But that was fine! You were just with sapnap
Before Karl came running over rambling on about needed to move his library
He had a library?
“[Redacted] you need to stay close, please”
You looked at him weirdly
Who the fuck was [redacted]
“Karl my names Y/n you idiot” “flame..” “sorry”
He didn’t even notice it and then you had to spend the next couple days hauling over 100 books
“Oo hey what are these! The covers look really weird”
You had found his time travel books
Woops
That man raced over and in the kindest way possible, snatched it from your hands
“Don’t touch those, they are my special books”
You just shrugged and let him be, he freaks you out enough
So you all traveled to this area in the spruce forest and built a really ugly mushroom hut
But hey it’s fine! Foolish thankfully came around later that day and made everything better
So you stuck around
Maybe you needed this, this new start
Oh but prime knows that wouldnt last long
Karl started forgetting
At first it was simple things as just forgetting where he was or little stumbles with names
But eventually he was going away longer and longer
He started calling you by these strange names, some that sound Victorian and western and others that are unlike you
One day he didn’t call you by your name at all
You were hanging around the Sakura trees and the big yin Yang pond waiting for sapnap to come back with George
Then you saw Karl exit the library, running up to him for a hug
It’s been two months since you’ve seen him
You fucking hated it but you couldn’t help but consider him another parental figure
He loved it
But he just stood there as you wrapped your arms around him
Expecting the usual “[reda]- Y/n, I’ve missed you so much my sweet flame!”
But there was nothing just a sad one sided hug
“Hello? I’m sorry but do I know you?”
You were ready to cry
“I’m sorry, I uh must’ve mistaken you for the wrong person” “No that’s fine! Hugs are nice?”
So you left and ran into the library
Scouring throughout all of the books until you found them
The same 8 books you shrugged away
You read through all of them along with Karl’s other journals
You didn’t like going through his stuff especially, a whole invasion of privacy
The more you read the worse it got
What were you gonna tell Sapnap?
Who the hell is James, and [redacted]?
And why couldn’t he stop
It’s no use anymore
You were simply just forgotten
𝐋𝗼𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬
The closer you got to the large building, the sicker you got
Kinoko Kingdom was supposed to be your free pass
But somehow you always end up here
You called for Sam on the comms waiting for the beep
The inside looked great to say the least
“What are your past relationships with the prisoner?” “No answer.”
“Where are you currently resided?” “No answer”
“Do you believe the prisoner deserves his sentence?” “Maybe”
You put all your shit in the locker and followed him through all the safety checks
“I’m glad you didn’t bring anything with you”
You stood on the platform heart racing as the lava went down
It was like a ticking time bomb
The small squeaks and scratches of the hovering bridge
He just stared at you
That sick stupid mask was broken by tommy that day in the black stone room
So you had to look into his face
Lets just say he looks good in Orange
“Barrier up or down?” “Down”
He backed up into the corner as you stepped in
Smiling
Once the lava cascaded down your smile turned into a sick frown
“Hello” is that all he had to fucking say?
“Screw you. Fuck you. Damn you”
He just looked you a small chuckle escaping from his lips
“Those all mean the same thing.” “Well I’ve been living in cinnamon town for the past couple months, and I’m ready to fucking burn some buns”
Yeah he just laughed
“I’ve missed you Hot shot”
“You ruined our damn life!”
Someone went quiet
“If you didn’t have to have a petty little war, or criminalize children we could’ve been fine! It could’ve just been you, dad, me, and George.”
You were pissed, everyone just kept leaving you.
Tommy and Tubbo, Quackity, Karl, Dream, and hell even Wilbur
“You come and visit me, after not having seen me for months and you just yell? Not a hello or ‘how are you dream?’ ‘How’s prison dream’ ‘how can I help you get out of this damn place’ “
You just sat down ready to just walk out into the lava
“I’ve been stuck here for months! None of you even cared enough to visit me, hell even Tommy came around.”
You might have felt a little bad after leaving him
The prison was cold even tho lava was flowing right there
“Why would you leave the discs alone..” “Because I had to end it.”
What were you doing here
What were you planning on saying?
“So, what do you do in prison”
“I have a clock.”
You got up to go look at the pretty clock
Then threw it at his face
“Ow” “deal with it bitch”
The longer you stayed the worse the feeling in your stomach got
so you buzzed for Sam waving goodbye
“Wait.. Do they miss me?” “Can’t say, but I think this may be for the best.”
He wanted his best friends
But he just got the annoying teenager
Oh but that wouldn’t be the last
𝐋𝐚𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐬
You got a letter in the mail one day
Who the hell uses letters??
You were shocked to see the address and the small post card
“Come around some time”-Quackity
Ans on the back it had the cords
Oh well what did you have to loose? Sapnap was focused on Karl
and well Karl didn’t even know you
So you set off
It took you a couple hours travel by horse to get to the desert area
The large sign blaring in the red text
You gotta admit the place looked beautiful
There was a giant dick and different shops
You were shocked to see this random un human like guy
“Hello, I am Charlie a totally human guy!”
Yeah totally not slime
“I’m uh, Y/n?” He reached out for a handshake sort of thing
“Dap me up!” “Another time Charlie”
Maybe when you had hand sanitizer
“Ohh so your Y/n! Mister Quackity talks about you all the time, come on in!”
You were skeptical but followed anyways
Stopping in your tracks when you saw Fundy
“Furry?” “Fire shit?”
You went over to give him a side hug, ruffling his fur
“What the hell are you doing here ginger boy!” “Oh you know, just escaping nightmares”
You were confused then just let him be
You walked to the entry way of the place
A beautiful pond with flowers and an arch
“Did what the place where Mr. Quackity was going to propose!”
Going to?
You shrugged it off following inside
You hated to admit it, but you were excited to see him
Yeah you really needed a parental figure in your life at the moment
So when you saw him, he immediately pick you up in a hug
You didn’t fail to notice his change in appearance
That beanie stayed the same tho
Thank god
“Hey hey! Let me show you around the place, we can also go for lunch and talk.”
The casino looked great to say the least
Loud music booming from the speakers, along with the live jazz band on the side
Slot machines were going off every minute
“Have a chip, something to remember this by”
He handed you a red poker chip
It was a cool one tho, in the middle has a blocky sort of smile
Creepy and dopey.. sick!
So you put it around a spare silver chain
“So how have you been kid? ‘Ts been a while hasn’t it.” “Could be better..”
You both walked around the city in silence, offering to go in the super model shop
“No” “why not” “keep walking”
On your way to lunch you had to squint at what you were seeing
“Oh my goodness you’re still alive?!” “You’re alive!?”
You and revivebur just stared at one another
“Yeah he came back after I died!” “you what now-“
You just stared at Tommy and back to Wilbur
Oh god those shrooms were messing with your head
You should’ve gotten out of there a while ago
Quackity came over placing his hands on your shoulders
“Do I have to execute you both? Get off my damn property”
“Sorry Q. Say, Y/n wanna join Lmanburg 2.0?”
You back away holding your hands up
“I denied that offer once, and I’ll do it again. Fucking zombie freaks”
You obviously muttered the last part
Why the fuck did dream revive those two shits??
When did Tommy even die??
Your visit here has just gotten weirder and weirder
𝐌𝗼𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬
Quackity got you away from the brits as quick as he could
So he brought you over to his office
“So kid, how’s your dad..”
Ah you expected this question
“How the fuck am I supposed to know. He’s living his life, Karl’s time traveling! Oh yeah did I mention he doesn’t even remember me.”
He looked at you with wide eyes
“So I’m not the only one they forgot..”
You slammed you hands on the fable dramatizing the situation
“How would you feel about moving here? I mean you could work for me in the casino!”
You thought about it for a second
You have two options
1. Live in shroom town with bubbles
2. Move to las Nevada’s with Quackity
You were sure Sapnap wouldn’t mind
I mean would he even care?
He hasn’t for the past couple months!
“You feel abandoned there, over here there are hundreds of people. You’ll have the time of your life”
You thought about it for a sec
“Alright hand me a contract”
So you signed
Making deals with the devil huh
Little did you know it would cost you your life
Devils little soul
➳➳➳➳➳┄┄※┄┄➳➳➳➳➳
and this is the finale! I will take requests for sapnaps child, and I’ll do some shit with Quackity and the casino and go in more depth if wanted!
As always request and ask anything! And ask if you want to be on a taglist (child reader or general)
For those on the taglist I don’t know if you wanted to be tagged for all child reader shit or just dreams child.. so please tell me :)

hello mr simp do you have any thoughts on the leeks 👀
FIRST OF ALL. THEY CAME SO FUCKING EARLY??? BRO I WAS ASLEEP
SECOND OF ALL
holy SHIT YALL
Okay, it's no secret that I'm an All Might stan. I LOVE All Might. Very very much. Not just as a simp, but genuinely, I enjoy his character SO MUCH.
--And unlike what some people may think, I'm not totally blind to his flaws. I know he sucks as a mentor and that he's done way more harm to Deku than good. He's.... not perfect. in every sense of the word. The whole point of AM's character is that he is a DEEPLY FLAWED individual— but at the end of the day, still good.
Tumblr media
This new chapter gave me SOOO many new feelings. I'm not gonna lie to y'all and say I was a Stain apologist beforehand because I wasn't. I disliked Stain to a certain degree, but I also knew he was morally grey enough that I was able to still quite appreciate him as a character. This chapter was about EVERYTHING to me because I honestly did NOT expect Hori to go in this direction and for things to happen the way they did. It was too good to be true! Too fanfic-y! The disbelief I felt when I read what happened was on par with when Bakugou and Deku had that apology and kinda-hug in the rain!
But this disbelief is not because it was a bad thing.
I think the writing in Chapter 326 is phenomenal. The moment that All Might was really beginning to lose hope in not just himself as a hero, but himself as a PERSON... we finally hear the opinion of someone who would abso-fucking-LUTELY make or break the last of his spirit.
Tumblr media
Stain is, as much as his views are pretty agreeable and his label is that of a vigilante, still a pretty shitty guy. He's tried to kill literal kids who got in his way, even if said kids made pretty dumb decisions. AM hearing what he has to say is absolutely mind-boggling to him because he knows all of that. He knows Stain is a shitty person and that his worldview is perhaps terribly skewed. He knows Stain has spent a hot minute frying his brains down in Tartarus and isn't good at making judgment calls. Knows that for all intents and purposes, Stain's opinions are not to be trusted.
But the thing is... Toshinori also knows that Stain, regardless of the soundness of his mind, is telling the truth.
Regardless of how fucked-in-the-head Stain is, we as readers are able to acknowledge that he isn't blinded by hero worship. Sure, he's bitter, cynical, and quite the absolutist--but Stain is still clear-headed enough to be able to see AM's flaws for what they are and accept them, ultimately proving to Toshinori that the power of All Might was never his own but rather the legacy that he inspired.
Tumblr media
The society MHA takes place in is flawed. We all know this. Heroes, as a concept, had been corrupted into being purely about good and evil. Purely winning fights for money or fame or the abstract concept of victory (coughs Endeavor and the no.1 spot coughs), making heroism as we know it about flashiness and power instead of mercy and the desire to help others.
All Might symbolizes the ideal version of the Hero Society. He represents doing the best you can. Being a hero until you reach your limits, and then going even past that. He symbolizes pure intention and the desire to be a hero not for material gains but because of the pure want to make society a better and safer place. Stain refers to Kamino Ward and the statue as a "holy land" because he believes that through and through, AM's only had the purest of intentions and morals. To him, Toshinori was like a deity that had no fault in making society what it was in the present because that accountability fell on the generations of heroes that failed to fulfill his legacy.
The point being, Stain understood that All Might was fundamentally not about 'being there' for everyone 24/7, but rather the message his presence had sent.
All Might's monologue at the beginning of the chapter essentially boiled down to the ideas that:
A. He regrets not being there properly for Deku
B. His image was a delusion that ultimately led to the downfall of hero society.
To break this down, his problem with Deku is his inability to be a competent mentor. It shows that he has led him down dangerous and horrible paths (Deku's stubbornness to do things by himself and his 'dark' arc post-war), and is unable to bring him back into the light even if he tries. It was only when Class 1-A had intervened that they were able to get Deku to rest and let people tag along, after all, which is why Toshinori was far too embarrassed to follow him into UA's walls even after everyone had come out with umbrellas.
Tumblr media
Stain disproves this in two ways.
First, he says that it was never about All Might's ability to actually be there for people. The whole point of what inspired Deku to be the inherently good-hearted "true hero" he is today is because of the values that AM's brand had instilled in him as a child. AM's biggest positive impacts came from behind the screen where he was used as the proof that true heroes can and do exist. Deku does want to be exactly like All Might, yes, which is why we see Toshinori leading him down the same path that he walked--but the underlying message of this is that the very first thing All Might gave him even before OfA was the courage to help fix society.
I do believe Deku is an innately compassionate person. Most people in the series are. However, what makes All Might's smile so uniquely impactful to what it did to Hero Society is the way it gave people courage to help people. Less hesitation. Less bystander syndromes. The ability to move without thinking. Because you can feel the want to help a person, but the courage to be nosey and actually do it? That's portrayed as something AM's image teaches people.
The second way he disproves AM's insecurity of dragging Deku down is that he makes it clear that this pain is somewhat of a necessity in reforming society. He says, interestingly enough, that this is but the 'middle process' in reforming society. This spills over to how he addresses Problem B, but what Stain is essentially saying here is that this sort of brutality and isolation that Izuku faces is impermanent. A phase. It implies that even if Deku is struggling and Toshinori is unable to help him, it is something that needs to happen before they re-realize the ideal heroes All Might's image is meant to create.
Tumblr media
The second problem in regards to how All Might feels about current society (how it's collapsing because of him, etc. etc.) is more interestingly addressed. There are many things that Stain says--like how Toshinori doesn't need to actually be the one to fix society with his bare hands. The current society is not his fault because of the fact that it is not finished developing. I'm not sure if I can go so far as to say that Stain means this in the sense of the Scorched Earth method of tearing everything down to build it back up better-- but I can say that Stain still has faith in society to rebuild after this period of chaos.
This rebuilding starts with the old generation of heroes correcting what they messed up (i.e. Endeavor v Dabi) and more importantly, paving the way for a better generation of heroes that was inspired by All Might's image. Heroes that are led by people like Deku, who is defined by his proclivity to help without thinking. The violent deconstruction of society is about exposing society to the raw truth of All Might's image that not everybody can be as strong as him-- which is why we have to take care of each other.
When the lady comes in to remove the sign and start cleaning the statue, it's symbolic. It's a clear metaphor that the past few chapters are the turning point for society as a whole, and how people are starting to remember what real heroism is. From the distrust that was seeded in society ever since LoV had surfaced, we are seeing that trust being returned TEN-FOLD now that people can see not only the mask of a hero's smile, but also the person underneath.
Tumblr media
I think it's some really neat symbolism here too about how Deku, who's metal mouth guard was literally all about representing All Might's smile, is shed.
This is hero society dropping their masks. Letting people see them for as they are. Toshinori revisiting the statue in this form makes all the more impact because he shed his mask ages ago during the Kamino Bust, so this is him coming face to face with the image he's created and seeing the differences between them, and how his image continues to live on even after he's almost completely Quirkless. The lady cleaning the All Might statue shows off the fact that things can be repaired again--that society can be clean (hehe stain pun) again.
Tumblr media
It's interesting to me here how Stain offers the information from Tartarus.
He doesn't care anymore about his life. It's evident. He disagrees with what the LoV is doing, but believes enough in Deku to think that it's time for him to retire the mantle of 'Stain'. Unless this is another test, it's very odd for me to hear that Stain is offering a blade and his life to someone he isn't even sure is All Might.
But the impact of this action reads loud and clear.
This is Stain taking pity on All Might. This is him realizing that All Might too is a person behind the hero. That Toshinori Yagi is incapable of doing anything past the image he had already created. By offering that knife and information on Tartarus, Stain is giving control back to Toshinori. He is giving AM the chance to do something big again to help society's reconstruction. To be a part of the revolution that he so badly deserves to see. That knife is essentially an exit ticket from the sidelines, and one last chance for All Might to be able to see what his image has done for people.
I personally think that the main reason Stain is willing to die then and there by Toshinori's hand, despite not being sure that he is All Might to begin with, is because of the final impact it creates that it isn't about Toshinori Yagi's true power as a person, but the image of All Might. It is because he looks like the symbol of peace, that Stain (the literal HERO KILLER) feels comfortable laying his life in his hands and giving away valuable information.
If that isn't a great testament to the power of AM's image, I don't know WHAT is.
I guess all I have to say is I absolutely love what Stain did in this chapter. Everything felt so incredibly symbolic and emotional and as someone who absolutely ADORES All Might and what he stands for in the story, this felt like a cool balm after seeing Deku tragically reject his bento box a good few chapters ago. I have a few more opinions about symbolism, and how I think Deku's generation of heroes is going to stray from the old gen, but I think that's a discussion for another time.
Thanks for reading 'til the end!

ANON REQUEST: Hawks, Dabi and Aizawa: spot an ex he had a bad break up with, he sees her walking around struggling to hold on to a bag of groceries while pushing a stroller with a toddler in it that looks awful lot like them, and the he awkwardly confronts them when the bag falls out of her hands.
Tags: Manga Spoiler, Mention of cheating, Angst to Fluff.
Hawks
“I’m so sorry Dove, I didn’t mean to–”
“Didn’t mean what? to deny that I’m your girlfriend in front of the media ‘cause you had a job agreement with the commission not to reveal me! okay Keigo you’re doing this for what reason exactly? Hero Reputation? More women you can use to cheat behind my back again and expect me to forgive you? I–I don’t want this kind of life anymore!”, you wailed in pure anguish roughly wriggling your wrist away from his firm clutch.
He felt suffocated when he needed to let you go for all the things that he did to hurt you, holding back the urge to chase you outside when you frantically closed the door, not looking back anymore on him. Leaving the top pro hero falling on his knees, lonely between these four walls of his house.
After all this time he can’t forget you, longing to see your face everywhere he goes even on pro hero awarding events or his usual patrol work with Endeavor looking for you through the crowds, praying to see your smile again that he misses the most.
His life was crumbling apart without you, but luck was on his side today when he spotted you not too far from where he was signing autographs for his fans while stealing some glances. As always, you’re still beautiful standing there.
Trying to fix your grocery bags while clasping the baby-carriage’s handle. He hesitated at first to approach you thinking you’re probably waiting for your husband to pick you up and your child. And that’s when a tuft of yellow hair popped out.
Tumblr media
“Mommy look it’s Hawks, Awtoglaph pweasee awtoglapph”, his excited pleas reached Hawks’ ears. pointing his fingers towards your ex-boyfriend who waved a hand on both of you.
Soon red feathers clumped together on the ground, preventing your bag to fall.
“Wow what do we have here, a kid full of energy today, so where do you want me to sign your autograph?”, stooping down beaming a smile with his eyes crinkling behind his yellow visor making your child gasp in awe.
He knew instantly that his suspicion was right seemingly looking at his own reflection with those golden honey orbs and black lines on those eyelids and small bump protruding behind the kid’s shirt, red feathers similar to his, messily cramped inside.
“Ke–Hawks here… ”, almost calling out his first name when you handed him a notebook and a pen.
Slightly feeling his gloved hand against your palm.
“Hawks look I hab wings too–”
“Honey we need to go home now or else you’ll miss your favorite show again, now say bye bye to Mr. Hawks”, you interrupted, sneaking a warning glare on him not to tell him anything before gently freeing your child’s wings out from his shirt’s makeshift holes.
“Little fledgling I guess your wings were moulting, so did your Daddy tell you about it”
“Hab no Dawdy but Oh you see… Mommy Lov’ Dawdy so much that she booboo cries” you were shock-stricken softly hushing your child out of embarassment.
“Well kid make sure to tell your Mommy not to cry okay cause Daddy loves her so much, yes don’t forget to tell that to her every day I–”, he stammered with his voice started cracking, overwhelming him with emotions too easily, swallowing the lump forming on his throat.
“Your father loves you too kid trust me, and surely there’s not a single day he’s not thinking of your Mommy, his only Dove–Ah I think I’m taking too much of your time Miss I-I’m so sorry”, halting it immediately, muffling a few sniffles before finally signing his signature.
Your heart began thumping so loud, not expecting him shamelessly grabbing your hand, burying you into a warm embrace in public.
“Wait Keigo stop this, everyone’s taking so many pictures of you”
“No I don’t care anymore, listen Dove I’m so sorry and I still love you, come back to me please I promise I won’t hurt you again, I’ll do better this time just let me make up for it, and for our son”
You can’t blame yourself for giving in, accepting him wholeheartedly knowing this is what you promised to him once.
To never let your future child experience the same heartache he suffered from his past.
Dabi
He regret those cruel words that came out from his mouth the first time he was too fed up of your constant admonishment of putting a rest on his revenge against his family forever since you cannot bear to see him exhausting his body anymore, starting this heated discourse again between you.
“You always bring this up y/n every single day and it’s too annoying already, why are you siding on Enji too much Babydoll… come on just say it you really want us to have a perfect family, so cool to have a child with this debilitating quirk too right?”
Sucking your inner lips anxiously avoiding to tell him something about that last one, you felt his grip on your sholders constricting furiously waiting for you to answer him back, but your tears spilling from those precious eyes made his stomach churn in guilt realizing what he had done when you began screaming on his face that everything’s over, shoving him away and locking the door of your house shut.
He knew how much of a dick he was, the worst break up that’s been haunting him everyday with your terrified face forever etched on his mind
It’s been a long time since the last time he saw you after you moved from your old house and he cannot find you everywhere until today.
He saw you pushing a stroller on the side of the road and having a hard time balancing the bag of groceries on your other hand.
Perhaps you found someone better than him and additionally having a child; a normal child considering he’s not the father. that’s what he thought until something caught his attention.
Squinting his eyes, he was slack-jawed to find a familiar cerulean orbs and red hair on that young boy giddily calling you Mommy.
Tumblr media
He took this rare chance of talking to you again by catching your bag of groceries that you clumsily dropped, your eyes met recognizing your ex-boyfriend instantly when he removed his mask. piercing eyes gazing down below observing your child’s similar features.
“Babydoll why didn’t you tell me about him, our son?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about Dabi and refrain from calling me that nickname anymore, also stay away from MY son before I call the police”
You breathed heavily snatching back your grocery bag from his grasp, clutching the stroller’s handle in pure anger.
“Daddy you meanie, go home”, tugging his pants with those tiny hands.
It hurts you to see your own child begging for his father to go home, when you can’t even tell him how you often show his own picture to your child that’s why he recognized his own father easily, keeping him close to his heart and memory forever.
You can’t hate your only child’s father.
He was expecting him to cry on his intimidating face when he bent his knees down to look at his child closely, ignoring your earlier threat by patting his son’s head seemingly accepting this foreign fatherly instinct.
“Kid look I’m obviously a bad guy, I don’t want you to get in trouble so maybe next time when your Mommy allows me, don’t worry I’ll probably see you again next time pepperoni haired kid”, chuckling when he saw his son’s childish pout, letting him pinch his stapled cheeks annoyed at his nickname.
“Y/n this is goodbye then”, flashing you that thin smile noticing his lips quivering a bit as he stood.
Shoving both of his hands inside his pockets before turning around to walk slowly away from both of you ignoring your child’s tantrum cries calling for him to go back.
“Ssh… sweetie don’t cry okay–Wait Touya!”
He stopped on his tracks when you yelled his real name again, like how you used to call him that before out of endearment.
“We’re going to stay here from now on so same address, the usual okay knock thrice and use our anniversary day on pressing the doorbell and don’t forget our password, listen I’m doing this for our child only so you better show up tonight or I won’t ever give you a chance”
He disappeared quickly after that, and tonight he never failed to show up incessantly ringing the doorbell many times even greeting you that typical password; a kiss.
A yearning kiss, hands intertwining the moment you opened your heart once again.
Aizawa
“Shouta you keep missing my calls these past few weeks when I needed you the most, you barely have enough time to visit me when I was sick the whole week and now you’re late, fine I don’t wanna hear your excuses anymore”
Those bitter words pierced him like thorns, seeing you slip out that engagement ring from your finger and placing it on a table whispering those bitter words he doesn’t want to hear from you.
“It’s better if we end this relationship now before we regret something, I–I can’t imagine my future being married with you or even having a child with you who pathetically seek for time and attention from his workaholic father, sorry Shouta”, you covered your mouth trying to bite back your tongue from spilling about your unborn child.
Running outside the restaurant leaving him heartbroken that he can’t further speak out his words anymore because everything that you just told him was painfully true.
He doesn’t deserve you, blaming himself for not appreciating you enough despite of your effort of enduring the hardships of having a pro hero fiance who often risk his life for his students. A man who can’t even spend a time to take care of you.
Nevertheless, he wanted to mend back those strings that binds you to his heart, always pouring out his loneliness on visiting that Cat Cafe on his day off every week reminding him of memories you two share.
You often take him there to spend a date knowing he’s fond of cats and snapping lots of photos of him every time he ends up sleeping on the corner with cats huddling close to his face nearly suffocating him.
Keeping your engagement ring to him all the time was the only thing that calms him down whenever he’s in dire situation on his job, thinking how much he wish to meet you here again.
Unbelievably seeing you again one time, rubbing his weary eyes once and twice to know if it’s truly you. Indeed, he can’t forget that familiar caring smile of his beloved, finding you outside the cat cafe currently having a problem of organizing your bag of groceries.
Tumblr media
“Mawmmy, neko pweasee I wanna touch it!”, your daughter began whinning clapping his hands to get your attention.
He can’t believe his own eyes when your child resembles him too much with that obsidian dull eyes and sleek black hair minus for that pigtail hairstyle but that scowl seems a carbon copy of his own.
“Wait Baby I–”
“I think you need help Y/n”
You were flabbergasted to find your ex-fiance taking a hold of your bag of groceries with his whip that was about to hit the ground and voluntarily offering his Neko tote bag for you which you persuaded him not to.
“Mawmmy pwease I want that too, Neko”, her tiny hands reaching out determined to get it no matter what.
“Baby no–”
“Well your daughter love cats so much, you can give this to her, please just a friendly gift”, taking out something from his pocket leaning down a bit to his side to rummage on that keychain, letting you see his necklace around his neck with that old engagement ring of yours dangling.
“Found it, here kid I’m not sure if you’ll like this”
“Aww Mawmmy have that too um…right Mawmmy, so no thanks Mister”
There’s no way you were married that’s what Shouta suspected when he saw you not wearing any ring, and obviously that cat keychain was closely similar to his anniversary keychain that you two bought for each other.
“Y/n I can drive you two back to your house if its okay–”
“Mawmmy please say yes”
You sighed in defeat not having a choice in the first place and also giving freedom to your child to spend time with her father who doesn’t know about this.
His car was still the same, sitting beside him and your child now sleeping behind after getting so tired ogling on his car’s cat accesories.
You chuckled upon seeing your daughter’s face on the mirror messily drooling, leaning slightly on your side to wipe the corner of her mouth.
“Darling is she our daughter”
“Eyes on the road Shouta, and yes so what will you do about it. Do you expect me to ask for any financial support from you oh maybe spending your precious time for our daughter that I can’t even get from you years ago”, you sarcastically uttered, stabbing him rudely with those truthful words he was unprepared to hear from you.
“I understand if you’re still mad at me y/n, but I just want you to let you know that I want to set things right first before asking you to forgive me. Because I don’t want to miss this opportunity again to tell you how much I wanted to talk to you or maybe to see you in your white wedding dress”
You can’t resist how determined he was to get close to you again, feeling his hand slowly making its way on you.
Giving back that engagement ring to whom it truly belongs, and that was you, a dream he wanted to come true despite it being too impossible.
Turning your head away to wipe your own tears, proposing for the second time that you have been waiting to hear from him all along.
“She’s your daughter Shouta and don’t you dare make her cry of I’ll scratch your face harder than what your cat does”
“That’s too kind of you, I mean my cat misses your deadly belly rub too, you named him Mr. Pickles right, well I’m sure he’d be thrilled to see his Mom again and his new sibling soon”,
You both exchanged soft giggling catching up on one another by starting the conversation about your lives and so on and so forth, and apparently your child was eavesdropping on both of you.
Your daughter muffled a “Pro hero mission success” after accomplishing her goal, peeking a bit to see you wearing that shiny ring.
She knew it the first time she saw that stranger recognizing him from one of the picture you often place under your pillow, her daddy.
Well she did inherit Shouta’s intellectual skills after all.

tame the beast
You work for the LOV. But is that really what you want to do with your life? After all, it seems they've just captured an angry pomeranian.
Word count: 3.4k
-
I’d just finished getting back from a “mission” that Shigi had sent me on. Why he’d decided to send me is a mystery to everyone there, but I went with it because it’s about time he started including me. I was one of the younger members, therefore very little expectations were pushed onto me, being given the easy jobs like a maid. I walked into our living room, a crisp water bottle in my hand. Dabi lay splayed across the couch, denying entry to anyone else that wished to use it. “Shigi is going to be bringing one of those kids from UA here, talking about trying to recruit him.” I raise an eyebrow. “They do know there’s no way in hell any of them would join us, right?” Sometimes it seemed like I was the only one with common sense there. They were in the hero course for a reason. They wouldn’t just throw away all the hardwork and dedication it took to get into that class.
“Yes, you and I know that but you know Shigi. He can’t take no for an answer.” I nod as a hum falls out of my mouth. “So, what’s my responsibility going to be?” A smirk appears on his stitched face. “Well, you’re gonna babysit, of course.”
-
The day had finally came and it was anything but what I imagined. I awoke and slipped on my fuzzy bunny slippers as my silk pajama shorts swished around me. I made my way down to the bar, ready for the delicious nectar that is orange juice. I walked past the tied up kid sitting in a chair staring angrily at me, reaching for the carton. I stopped, back pedaling a few steps before turning and becoming face to face with what can only be described as…an angry pomeranian. We look at each other for a minute or two, before a gravelly “What the fuck are you looking at?” forces its way out of his mouth. I drink the orange juice out of the carton, before boredly responding with, “staring at the kid I just found tied up in our kitchen.” I peeped the uniform, before remembering that Shigi was going to be stealing some child. I suppose this is him.
It’s an odd thought really. This kid couldn’t look any older than 16. He was the same age as me, yet we are going down two different paths in life. A sneer leaves his mouth as a string of profanities escapes his mouth. “You…are obviously dangerous.” A bark-like laugh from him. “I never said that was a bad thing though. Your temperament and determination will be the rise and the fall of you.” I put the oj back into the fridge. “I’m going to be the one keeping you company to make sure you don’t mAKe aNy fUnNy MoVeS” I put in air quotes as I quote Shigi. “You? You’re nothing but a shitty brat.” A giggle leaves me as I begin to walk away. “And you’re nothing but a child tied to a chair.”
-
I was finally done getting ready and looking presentable, in my normal everyday outfit which consisted of black ripped skinny jeans and a hoodie with the emblem of my favorite band. I made my way downstairs again, feeling him tense as I walked into the kitchen. “So, I don’t even really know your name so why don’t you enlighten me?” A sneer. “Oh come on, you just not gonna say anything the entire time? That’s boring.” He continues staring off slightly to the right of me, not giving me the satisfaction of acknowledging me. I huff, pulling open my laptop and setting it up. I boot up Minecraft, silently thanking Shigi for this extremely easy job. “Am I ever going to get untied?” My eyes float upwards, making eye contact with him over my laptop. “Possibly, I don’t even know how long you’re going to be here for. I don’t even know your name, let alone the real reason you’re here. I’m just told to sit here and watch you. Think of it as a babysitter perhaps.” He growls as I start up my world, instantly diving in and getting lost in the game.
A loud “Oi!” brings me out of my block-induced trance as I, once again, look up to meet his eyes. “What are you doing that you are so invested in?” I’m not sure why he would be interested in knowing. I’m the villain here. He probably thinks he can get some intel for his little friends back home. “I’ll show you if you tell me your name.” He rolls his eyes, huffing again. “Katsuki Bakugou. Now show me!” I smile, turning my laptop slightly. “See! That wasn’t so hard. I’m playing Minecraft. Oh, and my name is (Y/N).” He deadpans, probably expecting me to be working on secret files or something. “Oh, I’m one of the youngest people here. They don’t trust me with any of the info. I’m only here because I have nowhere else to go.” Am I really considered a villain? I mean this life was okay, having freedom to do whatever and having a really protective family is cool. But I feel kind of bad about some of the stuff that they do.
My stomach folds as I hold my laptop close to me, moving my chair next to his so he can see what I’m doing. He watches me for a few moments before speaking up. “I’m more of a pokemon guy myself.” I raise an eyebrow, knowing full well we have a switch in the living room that’s fit to play for two. Playing with him tied up would be kind of difficult though. “We have it here. I doubt they would allow me to untie you though. Shigi would turn me into dust.” I felt kind of bad for him though. In some new, unknowable place where anyone could get him. I think it’s good that they stuck him with me, because I know I wouldn’t hurt him. I don’t have it in me to hurt people like they do.
I chew on the inside of my cheek as I think. “I’m sure this is rich coming from me, but can I trust you?” It’s silent. And then a giggle. And then it’s a full blown booming laugh coming from him. “Can you? Trust me? Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” I know he could be unpredictable, being held hostage and what not. “I’m not the one you have to worry about here. If anything, I’m the nicest one. I wouldn’t take advantage of that.” I can tell that even though he’s unpredictable and has an extremely thick skull, his heart is set in a good place. So if the chance ever came that I would maybe be able to help him escape, I would do it. But I can’t do it just yet.
I start typing into the chat, earning a confused look from him because I’m playing by myself.
If I only untie your hands, can I trust you not to do anything?
I cannot help you escape right now, it's only the first day. If you’re a good boy and do like I say, I can get you out of here soon. Okay?
He sits silently, as if he was thinking. And then a small nod. I couldn’t risk saying that out loud. I know it killed him agreeing to that. He wanted to do more, more of a fight. But he cannot afford to put up too big of a fight.
I drag his chair into the living room, untying his legs but retying them back together once he's not secured to the legs of the chair anymore, just not as tight because I could tell by the prints they were hurting his legs. I help him move to the couch, untying his hands. I’m sure that chair was uncomfortable. I walk up to the tv stand, pulling out the controllers for the switch. His eyes watched my every move, he didn’t trust me of course. I wasn’t expecting him to. I plop down, handing him his controller before booting up Pokemon. I even let him make a game on my account so we could play two players. “My team back home is amazing, you know.” I look over at him before laughing. “All fire types I bet.” His face drops as a laugh bubbles out of my throat.
We sat like that and played for a few hours at least. He seemed to be having fun for a short while. I got a text, letting me know that everyone would be home soon. A sigh left my mouth that I didn’t even feel. “I have to put you back now. They’re on their way home.” He grumbles, waiting for me to help him up to put him back in the uncomfy ass bar chair. “I won’t tie the rope as tight, I know it hurts.” I carefully finish tying it, moving his chair back to the kitchen. “If they ask, which I doubt they will, we sat here in this kitchen all day, I did my schoolwork, and you were a good compliant hostage. Okay?” A nod. “Good. I’m going to clean everything up, I’m not sure if I’ll be back down before they get here, but in case I’m not, I’ll be back tomorrow morning and we can do the same thing again. Or a different game if you’d like.” I’m trying to show as much hospitality as possible. He didn’t ask to be brought here.
All I hear as I leave the kitchen is a small “thank you”, a smile gracing my face.
-
I wake up halfway through the night, my stomach grumbling for food. I make my way down to the kitchen, remembering I get to see my favorite hostage. I slowly slide open the door, making sure not to scare him. He slowly and tensely looks up, relaxing a little when he sees that it’s me. “Hey buddy.” my soft voice cutting through the quiet air like a knife. A nod of acknowledgement. “Have they fed you yet?” A small shake of the head saying no. A grumble leaves my mouth as annoyance flows through me. They want to recruit this kid but won’t act to keep him alive? Bitches. “Let’s get you some food, lovely.” I pat his head softly as I walk behind the bar to start cooking. Quickly whipping up some ramen with extra spice in it, I set up a table in front of him and gently untied his hands. The minute his hands were freed, he quickly reached up and grabbed the food, eagerly eating it. “Woah, calm down, you’re going to give yourself heartburn.” I sit down at the bar next to him, eating my own noodles. “I’m..not sure how long until they plan to start questioning you. But I know that they will. Please, don’t give into them.”
Still tearing into his noodles and the meat that I’d made him, he grunts showing that he heard me. This kid is more of a wild animal than anything. Feral, even. “So, I was thinking.” He finally finishes his food, even drinking the soup that’s leftover. He looks at me curiously. “Well, a few things actually. Uhm, why don’t you really talk?” He just looks at me. A straight face, ‘are you for real?’, look. Right, he probably doesn’t trust me yet. “Okay, that was a dumb question. Uhm, what exactly can you do? Like, why do they want you so bad?” It’s quiet for a moment as we sit and look at eachother. This is the first time I’m really sitting down and observing him.
The way his pale skin reflects the moonlight, his spiky blonde hair that is somehow oh-so soft. Not to mention his deep vermillion eyes that swirled with many emotions I don’t think he’s even capable of expressing. I was about to move onto the next topic after admiring him for a while and gaining no response, when his deep voice met my ears. “Explosions.” Okay, simple, but yet effective. I nod, an impressed smile on my face. “Cool. I can tame any beast, big or small. I can’t control them, but training them and gaining their trust is a lot easier. My quirk isn’t really…useful. As a hero or as a villain. So I’m just kinda…here.” I smile sheepishly, my hand rubbing the back of my neck. He sits, staring at me. I wish I knew what was going through his head. What thoughts ran through his mind. It was right about now I wish my quirk was mind reading.
Right, the next and last topic. “Also, the last thing.” I sit for a moment, debating if I even want to say it. It could go wrong in so many ways, some endings even being death. “I laid in bed for a while, unable to sleep last night. Because you being brought here made me realize something.” I look over at him, looking into his ruby eyes that were filled with what could basically be summed up with, ‘spit it the fuck out’. “I don’t want to do this anymore.” His mouth went slack a little before closing back up. It seemed like he was urging me to talk but with his eyes. “Well…you’re a kid. You’re my age. We’re the same age, yknow? You didn’t ask to be brought here. You were brought here with someone's selfish intentions in mind. I don’t like the thought of it. That they’re roping children into this.” He sits. Silent. Mulling my words over. “So, what I’m saying is. I want to help you escape. And I want you to take me with you.” His jaw opens, eyes wide. That was kind of basically asking for a death sentence. Technically, they couldn’t do anything to me. I hadn’t done anything wrong, the most missions I’ve gone on was to retrieve groceries or do Shigi’s dry cleaning.
“I don’t want to be like this anymore. It isn’t right. I can even give up information on them and where the hideout is. I’ll give it all up.” He still sits not answering, just looking at me. I walk around him, gently tying his hands back up. “Just think about it. I’ll be back down in the morning.” And I leave. After wrapping a blanket around his shoulders of course.
-
I wake up to my door being kicked in. Literally. Dabi stands in my doorway, holding the blanket I wrapped around Katsuki’s shoulders. “Why did he have this?” He gritted through his teeth, throwing it at me. The scent of caramel and cinnamon meets my nostrils as I get smacked in the face with it. “I didn’t want him to get cold.” I shrug, finally sitting up in my bed. “He’s a fucking hostage, (Y/N). You don’t treat him with fucking kindess.” His voice raises an octave with every note until he’s yelling in my face. I sit, staring at him. Dead eye contact. And it’s now silent. Too silent. “I took care of everything. No need to worry about your new ‘friend’” he hisses the word at me, making me flinch. “I don’t think you should be watching over him anymore.” I stumble over my words as I rush to get out of bed, tripping over my blankets. “What the fuck did you do to him, Dabi!” I scream, shoving past him and stampeding down the stairs, almost running into the kitchen door. I quickly slid it open, running over to Katsuki. He sits with his head down, breath rugged and uneven. I lift his face up, mine instantly paling as I see the damage. Eyes half lidded as he looks at me through his thick lashes.
Blood is all over, looking like a broken nose and maybe a busted lip. My hand caresses his face as I check him over, eyes darting from different points of his face. He looks close to passing out. I untie his hands and legs, slugging his heavy form over my shoulder as I drag him to the bathroom. I lock the door behind us, setting him down on top of the toilet seat as I move his head backwards. Taking out the first aid kit, I instantly started cleaning him up. He watches me carefully as I analyze every wound, taking time to clean and treat them. “Why are you helping me?” His hoarse voice croaks out. I stop, his voice ringing through my ears. I sit and think for a moment. Why was I helping him? I was supposed to be the bad guy. The villain. I finish pondering, before locking eyes with him. “Because I’m not like them. And we’re getting the fuck out of here.”
-
I got him tied up again, tying the rope tighter to appease Dabi, much to the discomfort of Katsuki. Tonight is when we move. I ignored him all day, acting like I didn’t see him. It made Dabi happy, so we should be in the clear. I ‘go to bed early’, which really just meant I was upstairs packing my bags. After everyone finally went to bed, the number 2:20am flashed in red on my alarm. I sneak downstairs, missing every creaky step. I quietly slid the door open, lightly tapping on it twice alerting Katsuki that I was coming. He looks up at me through his eyelashes as I pad over to him, quickly untying his ropes. “We have to make this as quick as possible.” I mouth to him, nodding my head towards the front door that lay not even two feet from us. He nods, moving his wrists to ease the rope burn. We walk for the door, twisting the knob and walking out into the open night air. A breeze flows through, sending a chill down my spine.
“I don’t know where to go from here. I guess we should go to a station.” I mumble, walking forward as I carefully look around making sure nobody was watching. Our descent started, and we finally found a station after about 10 minutes. I almost forgot the most crucial part. I throw my phone away in the trash can, ensuring they can’t track and follow us. We board the train, no words being exchanged. We reached UA after a while, it being around 6:30am. Almost time for school. I look over, analyzing him. He looked exhausted. Just worn down, and I felt horrible. Because it was my family, that horrible family that did it. We approach the front doors, as I stop a few steps behind him. “Well, this is your stop.” I smile, a hint of sorrow behind it. I really, honestly did not want to say goodbye. I’ve grown to like Katsuki over the few days we've known each other, even if he barely talked to me. He stands silently, looking at me. He walks until he’s in front of me. He offers out his hand, which I shakily take. A gasp comes out of my mouth as he pulls me into a hug. “Thank you. Really.” Tears threaten to spill out as I stare at his chest. He..thanked me? I didn’t do much, I’m sure his hero friends would have shown up eventually to get him. “I..don’t know if I should be doing this or not. But, I feel the stuff you have in that head of yours could be useful to us. And if you really mean what you said, when you said you don’t want to do that anymore…” he trails off as I stare at him, waiting for him to continue. “I can’t promise you would be in my class. But you could definitely be in one of the other classes.” Did he just offer to try and get me into UA? Tears well into my eyes as I start to shake. “I…” I can’t even get the words out.
I’m pulled into another hug as I break down in his arms. Is this my chance? A new beginning, where I don’t have to be the villain? Do I finally get my happy ending? I hope so. I really do. I collect myself, backing up and smoothing my (H/C) hair down. “Are you ready (Y/N)?” He glares over at me, as I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. “Yeah, I’m ready.” I hold onto his sleeve as we walk through the doors, and I walk into my new beginning.

Hello there! I hope its okay, I just had this random idea, but can i request for some Hcs for Diluc and Childe with a GN! reader, who has been pretty sketchy lately? like they were being so secretive and stuff and theyd often leave and refuse to let them give them company when they do. So they start stalking them to see whats up only to see them checking something out at a store and they thought they wanted to buy it so they do, but in the end the reader ends up telling them that it was a gift they were eyeing for them not for themselves
I hope this makes sense, you can ignore it if its too much ><
Sketchy Reader HCs
Childe x GN!Reader x Diluc
Warnings: None
Didn't had any good title XD
Childe
Childe for most ppl is a very confident person, he thrives from the attention he gets especially when it comes to you
But since he is also a person with a very big title it is to be expected that he is very observant
So when you are very and I mean very (sus)picious he is concerned and also very wary
He has been betrayed and been labeled as a fooled from ppl he trusted, so yes he would be very cautious of you
Everytime he would look for you be it through the streets of Liyue or even on your own home, you would find any excuse to disappear from him
Wait hold on is that a Jewelry store
Until one day, Childe had enough and was planning to confront you, so when on a search for you
When he saw you in the middle of the street looking around and then entering a very suspic- wait
Childe looked slightly......confused but he kept looking, moving in closer hiding in between the crowd as he watched you closely through the window
You looked through each jewel, all shined bright, glowing at you tempting you to take them away but you had an eye for something else
Until you found it, a blue jem beautiful as the sea and it reminded you of a certain fatui but you soon stop your advances
1,000,000 Mora?!?!?
Nah you could go and mine that
Nope
And so you leave
But Childe seeing the pout you had, quickly swooped in the store and bought the shiny crystal
Later that day, he came to you with a box wrapped in a ribbon a huge boyish smile on his face
You looked at him, surprised as you looked up at him
"w-what is this?" He just gave you a big smile
"go on open it!" Excitement evident in his voice
You grabbed the box and opened it, seeing the familiar blue gem, you smiled
Looking up at him you let a small laugh out and Childe looked confused
"Have you been stalking me? Hmmm"
"Nooooo....maybee"
A sheepish grin covered his surprised face
You took out the blue gem while your other hand dig in into your pocket and pulled out a handmade bracelet with two piece cor lapis around it
Taking the blue gem, you used your pyro power to burn a small hole on the top of the gem and passed the bracelet through it
While you do that, Childe just watched, curiosity taking over
After you tied the bracelet, you handed it to a surprised (pikachu face) Childe
"I wanted to give you a gift something you could remember me for whenever I would go away..."
Let's just say Childe may had fainted....
Diluc
Diluc, like Childe is a very observant person but unlike him he doesn't look for attention much
So between the two of you, you are always the one to give him attention, sometimes he would be the one giving you attention but in most cases you are the one starting it
But that don't mean this man is blind
Nah nah nah, this man has eyes on everything
Especially when it comes to your every need
But when he doesn't get his cuddles as usual or doesn't even get to talk to you at all because you just wooshh from their he gets suspicious
So when me night you decide to sneak away, Diluc rises from the bed and changes int his Darknight hero mode and goes after you
You walked through the streets until you came to the door with a magical seal, while Diluc stays put on a roof, watching you and also wondering as to why are you at Mona's door
You knock and Mona opens the door and closes it
And Diluc waited
And waited
And more waiting
Until you finally walk out, burying something in your pocket as you waved at Mona goodbye
As you walk away, Diluc followed closely, jumping from roof to roof until you came into a stop at a Souvenir shop
As you were talking to the lady, you frowned
Diluc quickly getting upset seeing you pout wanted to go up to you and hug you but he kept hidden
With a final look at the item you wanted, you walked away
Diluc looked at your figure walking away, and as soon as you turned a corner, he took out his mask and landed right behind the store
The next morning, you woked up and rising from your bed, you looked behind you and noticed your lover calmly at sleep
Letting out a soft smile, you walked down the stairs and to the kitchen, the maids moved away from their, knowing your usual routine of making breakfast
As you were cooking some fried eggs, strong arms embraced you behind, a fluff of red hair fell on your shoulder as you giggled
"Lulu, your hair is going to get on the egg" he just let out a hum and snuggled closer into you
Letting a sigh out you tried to maneuver with a clingy man around the kitchen
Setting the plates down, you were about to sit down until Diluc pulled you into his lap
This man missed his cuddles ok?! He just needs his cuddles 😤
So while you guys were eating, Diluc pulled out a red crystal shaped as an eagle and slide it on the table, you recognizing the familiar object looked at him
"I had a nagging feeling you wanted it, so I bought it for you"
You looked at him until you let out a loud snort
Hugging a surprised Diluc, who wasn't expecting that reaction, you quickly went and grabbed a string with blue gems on it, pulling the red bird stone, you put it on the middle of the string
As you stood up and walked behind Diluc's chair, you pushed away his hair and wrapped the string filled of gems around his porcelain neck
Diluc looked at you, his red eyes wide as he waited for you to talk
"This was actually for you, I wanted to give you a gift, since I couldn't make it to your birthday....so happy late birthday!" You scratch the back of your head as you awaited his reaction
"Oh....um..,"clearing his throat, Diluc stood up and hugged you, "Thank you love, but a gift for me is for you to be here safe and sound, that is enough for me"
-
AIGHT, hope you liked it :)
Took me awhile to finish it since I was multitasking....I definitely wasnt watching anime
NUH uh
Anyways, this was very cute and fun to write, lov d the idea too so yahhh 👌😌

Bakugou Katsuki is not as bad as he seems.
Okay, fine. That's a lie. Bakugou is a loud and obnoxious asshole with little to no character development and will snap at anyone who breathes on him the wrong way.
Now that that's out of the way, let's move on to why he's like that.
You all know what PTSD is, yeah? If not, it stands for "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder". It's something that causes panic attacks, unnecessary aggression, trust issues, nightmares, anxiety, depression, and more. People will develop it after a traumatic experience. It takes years of therapy to recover... actually, most people never recover from it.
Fun fact: Katsuki canonically has PTSD. It's confirmed, and you know what? After everything he's been through, it's not much of a surprise. He's been through one tragedy after another and never seems to get a break.
When we first met Bakugou Mitsuki (Katsuki's mother) in chapter #96, we instantly realized how aggressive she was. I mean come on! She talked smack right in front of him and his teachers- in front of All Might who she knew her son was very fond of. Katsuki may be irritable, but to have your own mother backhand you in front of your own role model is a little much.
Tumblr media
Later on in chapter #165 during the Provisual License Exams, we get a little more information that only points towards more abuse- and this time it's not so verbal.
Most people paid no real attention nor gave it a second thought in these panels, but remember when Katsuki suggested to use violence against the kids? Of course, you'd look at it and wave it off as "normal Bakugou behavior", but what he says next took me by surprise:
Tumblr media
That's right. He was raised that way.
Which means either Mitsuki or Masaru (or both) had struck him in some way multiple times as he was growing up, and I doubt it was Masaru.
"Spoiled" my ass. He might have a strong quirk, but people don't turn into little monsters just by being praised. It'll definely boost his confidence, but not dramatically. This could also explain his aggression toward Midoriya. He realized how helpless he was and had power over someone else for once. But that's just a theory.
Okay, let's fast forward a bit. He's finishing up his third year of Middle School and is preparing for the UA entrance exams. He's pushed away his childhood friend to follow his own dreams and tells him to jump off the roof.
Tumblr media
Literally.
And then he walks out the door only to regret it much, much, muuuch later in the series- y'know. The "character development" I was talking about.
Next time we see him though, he gets what he deserves.
One panel he's tramping through an alley with his friends, and the next, he's being swallowed alive by the most perverted-looking slime monster I've ever laid my eyes on.
Tumblr media
While Izuku's dreams are being crushed by his own hero, Katsuki is fighting for his life in the middle of town. He's struggling, but all he could do was look back at all the dozens of fearful eyes...
Right there. Right now. Look at him:
Tumblr media
He's terrified. He's humiliated and afraid and hurt and despite all of the heroes that were there, none of them had even attempted to save him.
And this is where it really starts. This is where it all begins. Next thing we know, Izuku's running straight for him... The boy Katsuki's bullied almost all of his life is risking his own in order to save him.
You know the story from there; All Might trains Izuku to withhold his power, they get accepted into UA, and then comes the Sports Festival.
Katsuki's already made up his mind: he's gonna win. He's willing to give everything he has to show the country what he's made of, and this may be his only chance to make up for the mishap several months ago. And Monoma, being a professional at making things worse by opening his mouth, rubs salt in the wound.
Tumblr media
It was pretty easy to predict Katsuki's reaction: pissed off and more than ready to prove him wrong. He does, but it cost him his "first place" during the Calvary Battle. But that's okay 'cuz it's not over yet!
Welcome to the next and last stage of the festival: The Battle Tournament, where all the kids get to beat the shit out of each other until only one remains.
Turns out, Katsuki does win. It was a foolproof plan: get Todoroki to go all out on him so he can make a final impression before the end of the day. But it was obvious that Shouto was still unsure of himself, so Katsuki did what he did best:
He had to piss him off.
But instead of getting angry and bursting into flames like he had planned, Shouto threw away the battle at the last second, and everything Katsuki had worked for with it.
No shit he's gonna be upset! He worked his ass off to get where he was, and the whole point was to leave himself a footprint! His entire life had been dedicated to that moment, and it faded away right in front of him.
Midnight put him to sleep and he woke up and threw a temper tantrum.
Now this is was UA did wrong:
Tumblr media
Why would you do that?! They were all aware of what happened to him only a few months ago, he obviously hasn't properly recovered from it, and they restrain him in front of thousands of people. They cover his mouth and gag him, lock his hands in a tiny metal box and expect him not to go insane. Helloooo?! Wake up! He's just a kid!
Several months go by and now it's time for camp. Katsuki is tired. They all are. It's been a long day of training and training and training, and suddenly villains come out of nowhere, and nobody is prepared. And who shows up? The League of Villains, and they're after certain students...
Tokoyami escapes safely, but Katsuki isn't so lucky.
Tumblr media
Just think about that for a second. When we see Shigaraki holding a picture of him, it's the one where UA tied him up. He knows what this child has gone through and he pities him. To be honest, I think the LoV treated him much better than anyone ever has (except maybe Kirishima). They're hesitant, but they treat him with kindness. They didn't just want him for his quirk. They saw what the heroes did to him and wanted to help him get the revenge he deserved.
But when All Might showed up (more like "burst through the wall like the Cool Aid man"), Katsuki is instantly teleported in the strangest way possible... and the most traumatizing.
He chokes out this weird slime-like substance that devours him within seconds. Thankfully it only last that long, but then again, the Sludge Incident, remember?
Yeah, bet that brings back some memories.
But what must have hurt him the most was All Might's downfall and early retirement. He said it himself:
Tumblr media
After several chapters, he finally burst. He's been holding all the pain inside of him until it bubbled over and he couldn't take it anymore. So he went to the only person he could- the person he hated and yet trusted the most.
Maybe the Class 1A concert helped him in a way. It seemed like it brought him down and maybe even relaxed him a little. And something incredible happens. Something we haven't seen from him at all until now...
(From here, I'll try to keep it short to avoid as many manga spoilers as I can. That and I'm tired...)
He began to change; started to support Izuku... in his own twisted way, of course. As chapters went by, he started to open up little by little. He admitted what he had done to Izuku in middle school to All Might, which had brought him some peace of mind. It wasn't quite the apology we had hoped for, but I guess it'll do.
And during the war, he made the greatest sacrifice, finally unlocking his quirk's full potential. Despite being unable to move, he used his quirk to throw himself in front of Izuku without thinking, taking a blow to his stomach. To his stomach.
Tumblr media
He was impaled.
Holy shit.
Last time someone had been impaled was Nighteye, and he died from his wounds.
But Katsuki somehow managed to survive... And woke up ready to beat Izuku's ass if he didn't wake up.
Anyway, that's all I have to say (so far). However, I'm excited for Season 5 of the anime series! Can't wait to see our new story animated! I mean, I've been watching the episodes as they come out, but still.

𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐃.
You had come to that realization the day puberty hit you, when it came into your life all loud and boisterous, bringing the gifts of sudden physical changes, hair growth in all the weirdest places and zits that loved to spout over your skin.
Even years after when you had mostly adapted to all the cruel and sudden changes and your skin had luckily calmed down considerably, being a teenager still sucked.
Always being in this weird state between being a child and an adult, being too mature and not mature enough, not able to be trusted with anything and forced to take on more responsibility, having to grow up and still enjoying the times were you were still young.
It was stupid, all of it was stupid.
And it was exhausting. Finding yourself and at the same time everyone already expected from you to know who you are and what you want in life at age 17.
You could go on hours and hours to no end complaining about your age, which probably said enough about your generation anyway. "The youth is always complaining" as if the question to why was a fucking mystery.
But really, you learnt to deal with all of it to a certain degree. Insecurities, doubt, stress, being overwhelmed with everything, sudden changes in personality and opinion...Not pleasant things, but manageable.
All of them except of one.
Love.
Absolutely horrifying in every way.
You had been a teenager for a while now, so the prospect of a crush was nothing new to you. Hell, no. Quite honestly, you had crushes on people for the dumbest reasons.
Told you you were pretty, was pretty, wasn't ugly, was nice to you one time, smiled at you from across the train for one second... seriously, the dumbest reasons.
Crushes were fun, they were short-lived and easy to take care of and were quicker disposed than they were formed.
Never once in your life has an innocent crush mutated into...this. You didn't exactly know what to call it yet, didn't have a name for it, but it was slowly but steadily turning you into a fucking idiot.
Lov...-no, you refused to call the fungus that had infected your brain that - infatuation was like a virus that had slowly spread through you and mastered the arts of "random brain malfunction" perfectly.
Well, it wasn't random. There was a certain trigger. One person you seemed to lose brain cells around whenever they just did as much as stand near you.
If you would have had to make any guess before, of who it would be you would fall....become infuriated with in 1-A when you first came to UA, Midoriya Izuku would have not been your first choice. Hell, that boy wouldn't have been the second choice either, or the third, or any of the top numbers.
The boy seemed quite plain amongst the very diverse group of teenagers you shared a class with. He had a cute face, sure, but next to Mina with her pink skin, Tokoyami with his crow head or even just Kirishima with his flaming red hair and sharp teeth the boy was not catching anybody's eyes at first glance.
Hell, if this was a tv show, he probably wouldn't even be part of the main cast.
Midoriya was small, hid his muscular and well-trained body in loose clothing and had a baby face, all freckly with wide green eyes, framed by curly green hair. He was a shy and quiet kid, mumbling to himself a lot and never worrying to stick out just the littlest bit.
The first few weeks it had been hard for you to remember his name, the only thing that had made him easier to recognize to you was the fact, that that kid broke his limbs more times in a week than anybody every did in their whole life.
You couldn't quite remember when that form of acknowledgement of Midoriya Izuku's existent had turned into straight up infuriation, but you had been stuck in this state for a while now, too long for your liking.
Crushes came and went, most lasting for a few weeks at most, but when you had started crushing on Midoriya and naively hoped it would go away soon, your feelings had only grown more and more, developed further, mutated into "this". The fungus. The infuration.
You weren't trying to say Midoriya was a bad choice to develop feelings beyond friendship for. No, the boy was stupidly nice, loyal to a fault, analyzing and extremly ambitious, working hard every day to become stronger. And pretty, he was very pretty.
The problem wasn't that you had "chosen" wrong, or rather your heart, that stupid fucking thing.
The problem was that you had chosen at all.
Being 17 was hard enough, being 17 and training to become a Hero in a class, whose teacher was out to test their limits by placing them into deadly scenarios, was even harder. Being interested in another person in that class, someone you had to work with together and see every day while being unable to grasp a coherent thought, was fucking hell.
You had tried to get over it, to just ignore those nasty things people called feelings, push down the warm and fuzzy feeling you got everytime you caught sight of the boy and calm your heart whenever Midoriya Izuku decided it was a good choice to look your way and smile at you. Which he did a lot, damn him for being so fucking friendly with everyone.
You had tried to convince yourself that Deku, as most of his friends called him (altough you thought Izuku was a much prettier name), wasn't worth it. Just another stupid boy with a cute face you crushed on for no reason.
That hadn't worked of course, considering Midoriya was a fucking sunshine kid, who was well-beloved in your class and everyone he ever met for a reason. If everybody else was falling victim to his undeniable charm, how could you hope it would be different with you.
Maybe because you were damn naive.
You had tried everything and more, even gone as far as fully face your feelings, examine them, write down all the reasons why you believed you might have a crush on that Deku kid, come up with 10 (and more you refused to add, since 10 was already too many), put them into your notebook and tried to close the book, both literally and figuratively, on it. It hadn't worked.
All it had gotten you to was this state of awareness, that made dealing with Midoriya Izuku so much harder because now you knew, now you coudln't ignore it any longer. The way his smile made you all giddy, the way his voice warmed your heart, the way the blush on his face (and that boy was blushing a lot) did things to you. Something you'd never admit aloud to anyone.
Everything about him was suffocating but at the same time making you feel lighter.
It was absolutely disgusting.
You thought about kissing his stupidly chubby cheeks more than you thought about how much you wanted to lie down and sleep, that was just bullshit in itself.
One of the worst thing about this whole infuration thing, besides making you brain dead half of the time, was that you were absolutely unable to hide your frustrations with it or even function like a normal human around the subject of your...adoration? You were running out of words, slowly.
See, you weren't a bad person, most days you got along just fine with everyone in class (despite Mineta, friendliness didn't help with someone like that), you'd even go as far to say you were a nice person most of the time. It would probably be all of the time if you didn't have that habit of speaking your mind which led to some not so nice comments about people you couldn't stand (*cough* Mineta *cough*), which was probably the only reason you got along with Bakugou in the first place.
Sure, you sported a resting bitch face, Kaminari kindly told you, looked half-dead and not approachable on most days (Todoroki was probably conspiracing about you being Aizawa's secret love child because of your matching eyebags) and you avoided talking too much...but you were nice!
Around Midoriya Izuku you seemed to lose all social skills along with your brain cells, though. That was the only way you could explain why you were so...rude to him. Not that you were actively insulting him or even looking at him in a nasty way. But whatever you did, you were still rude.
If he asked you a question, you shrugged and gave him a curt one-sentence answer, if he complimented you, you deflected quickly, if he smiled you stared at him for a second before turning away, if he caught your eye you frowned and looked away, making sure you weren't staring again for the rest of the day.
You hadn't noticed in the beginning. In your eyes you had just tried to act as nonchalant and not in lo...not interested in Midoriya Izuku as convincing as you could, but then Mina had casually asked you why you hated Midoriya when you hung out during lunch and you realized, maybe your behaviour has been a little counterproductive.
Instead of you dealing with your stupid feelings by your own, you've involuntarily drawn attention towards it with your out-of-character behaviour towards the subject of your...it didn't really matter. Who also happened to be the class favorite so you go!
Now you were stuck at lunch, Mina, Jirou and Kaminari out of all people surrounding you and observing you with both interest and intrigue. In hindsight, Tokoyami would have made a much better lunch mate, but no, you wanted to sit with Mina.
Figures.
"I don't hate him," you answered simply, trying your best to hide how much the change of topic irked you.
You've already failed to be subtle about you having a so-called "problem" with the green-haired boy, you really didn't want them to know what this problem was.
You hoped that if you were just playing nonchalant your gossip hungry friends would get bored quickly and just let it drop and move on to the next thing.
Mina rolled her eyes at your answer as if to say "Yeah, right." while Kaminari and Jirou exchanged sceptical glances.
"Yesterday he complimented you on your idea in the rescue training and you just walked away...you're never that rude," Mina reminded you.
You huffed out an annoyed sigh. Right, yesterday. As if you didn't remember.
Aizawa had split you up into groups of five and you have had the misfortune of being stuck with Deku as one of your teammates. Misfortune because, well....how were you supposed to concentrate on saving those fake hostages when the subject of your affection was in close proximity, mumbling to himself in that irritatingly hot way he did so often.
You had suggested a method of approach, not thinking anything about it and that fucker had the audacity to turn your way with the brightest smile directed at you and complimented you.
What other choice did you have than to just stare at him blankly before walking away? Grabbing his face and smashing your lips into his certainly wasn't one.
Of course Mina, who had been one of the other three people in your team, remembered that shit show of a reaction.
"Yeah, well," you shrugged, trying to play it off. "Didn't think that needed an answer."
"And Midoriya is so sweet. Didn't think hating him was possible," Mina ignored you, instead turning thoughtfully towards the other two people at the table.
You stared longingly at the free spot next to Tokoyami at the table before yours.
"Bakugou didn't look like he struggled with it," Jirou reminded her and Kaminari nodded.
"Now they get along just fine, though," the blond reminded her.
Right, even Bakugou hadn't been able to resist Midoriya's charm. He'd probably deny it, if anyone ever brought it up, but both of them had taken major steps forward in their relationship and were now at a level of mutual respect at the very least, and tight partnership at the most. Hell, you'd say they were friends, even.
"But Midoriya is just too cute! Hating him is like hating puppies and Bakugou totally gives off that vibe. Y/n doesn't!" Mina countered, defensive of your honor it seemed, although you couldn't really appreciate the sentiment in the moment.
You'd rather continue to ignore the obvious problems your affliction with the green-haired boy had caused both him and you than be confronted and scolded by your friends because of it.
"I told you. I don't hate Midoriya. Can we talk about something else?" you tried again, already knowing it was hopeless.
"You hate Mineta, though. The way you treat Midoriya is very similar to the way you treat him," Jirou commented.
Kami clapped his hands enthusiastically as if she's just made the most brilliant discovery.
"Jirou's right. You ignore his existence until you can't, then you give Midoriya that glare and walk away."
You frowned at the blond's claim, highly displeased.
The comparison between Mineta and Midoriya left a nasty taste in your mouth. Deku was way too fucking polite and respectful to be compared to something like that.
And pretty...he was very pretty.
"Now, thinking i'd ever dislike someone as much as Mineta is just plain delirious," you snorted.
At least they didn't seem to argue with that statement.
Silence returned for a little after that. You even dared think the topic was dropped for now and you could go back to scribbling into your notebook and enjoy the rest of your break in peace.
But Mina, sweet annoying Mina, liked to make your life a living hell.
"It's just really sad having to watch Midoriya look like a kicked puppy every time you reject his obvious efforts to woo you."
Now, fate was just being cruel, or maybe it was just Mina who had purposefully waited for the moment you had deemed safe to take a sip of your drink so she could drop that bombshell on you.
Now you were choking on your juice and maybe that was a good enough way to go, you thought while violently coughing.
Kaminari and Mina were laughing at your expense (yes you had called them your friends before and yes you regretted it), while Jirou looked at you with a mixture of smugness and guilt.
"He does not!" you denied loudly between coughs, feeling the blush already settling on your cheeks.
A few heads turned your direction to see what you were screaming about but you ignored them in favor of glaring at the pink-skinned girl in front of you, now your arch nemesis.
"Yes, he does. I'm surprised you haven't noticed yet with how stupidly obvious it is," Jirou butted in and now it was her turn to be fixed with a death glare.
"Poor guy is crushing hard on you," Kaminari agreed.
Wow, Kaminari, too, then.
This time you didn't hold back your groan.
As if your infatuation with the green-haired boy wasn't bad enough already, now your friends were trying to talk you into the idea that Midoriya, sweet kind Midoriya was returning your feelings.
Your feelings. The feelings of someone who's been nothing but horrible to him the last few weeks and basically ignoring his existence before that.
He'd sure be stupid.
Your friends surely were stupid if they believed that.
"Yeah, whatever."
This was the only comment you were willing to make, sending each of the people on the table a pointed look before you noisely opened your notebook to signal you were done talking and ready to drop the subject.
But boy oh boy, the subject was not ready to drop you.
                                                          ─
It was a few days later when you started to notice...something. You certainly wouldn't have if your friends' teasing words hadn't entirely taken up your mind along with a certain boy who had been living inside there rent-free for months now.
You had been sitting in the common area, finishing up your homework together with Tokoyami (yes, you had learned your lesson) at one of the tables. The both of you had been quietly working, rarely interrupting the other with questions about one of the assignments.
That was until Midoriya appeared out of nowhere, suddenly standing in front of your table and scaring the living shit out of you in the process.
He smiled at you, eyes bright and cheeks flushed. An image of what you could only assume was the most beautiful sight a person could lay eyes on. Although he was nervously fumbling with his hands and blushing, his voice was steady when he asked you, you, yes you, for help with his homework.
You couldn't be mistaken. No, he had certainly looked at you when asking that question. He was asking YOU for help with his homework.
The little traitorous thing in your chest called a heart swelled with hope at this and you had to force down the memories of your friends words to keep on functioning.
Poor boy is crushing hard on you.
It took several moments for you to realize that instead of giving Midoriya an answer to his question, you had stared at him, frowning deeply. For way too long to be considered polite.
So much for functioning.
Again your brain had blanked at the mere idea of communicating with Midoriya Izuku, stuttered to a halt when presented with the opportunity to be decent to the boy for once.
Deku's beautiful beaming smile had dropped in the meantime, replaced by a frustrated pout at your silence. The joy slowly fading from his face frustrated you immensely and the urge to make him smile just once, because of something you said to him, was getting unbearable.
Yes, take my homework. Take my heart, too. Take all of it, you wanted to say.
None of that made it past your lips.
Tokoyami was looking between the two of you with confusion, sceptical of your uncharacteristical silence. You weren't one to just ignore someone's cry for help, even Mineta you'd begrudgingly take pity on from time to time.
When Tokoyami saw that you probably wouldn't reply anytime soon to Midoriya's question, or stop staring for that record, he sent the boy a smile and instead offered his help instead. Not without sending you a last questioning look from your peripheral vision.
Usually this was the moment you'd advert your attention from the scene to scold yourself for falling victim to your stupid hormon-flooded brain.
This time, you had waited a few seconds longer, why you weren't sure. It had been a subconscious decision. Maybe a desperate attempt to spot that something your friends had been talking about. What had they called it? Right, the kicked puppy look.
The boy deflated, shoulders falling as he glanced between you and Tokoyami. He stuttered out an apology directed at you, for bothering you (your heart broke a little) and a thank you directed at Tokoyami before stumbling to take a seat next to him.
Maybe that had awoken the little voice again, the one you'd gotten rid of a while ago. The one that whispered sweet promises into your ear and painted scenarios of you and Midoriya being happy together if you'd just give it a try and confess your feel...affliction with him.
Luckily you were already an expert on how to silent that nasty thing. The boy's reaction to your words was not that suprising after all. You had understood early that Midoriya was trying to be friendly with everybody, when his efforts were ignored his mood dropped quickly.
That was just the way he was.
After all, he was known to make friends quickly with those who weren't looking to get close to anyone, see Todoroki and Shinsou.
You were just about to smother the last bit of naive hope, then you caught Uraraka's eyes across the room.
Usually, you liked to think you and her got along quite well (considering the "i'm an asshole to your best friend" aspect of it). You weren't close but you had definitely reached the level where you were sending each other smiles when passing by or lending the other a pencil from time to time.
The way she looked at you now though made you rethink that.
Her eyes were ice cold, almost making you question if it was really Todoroki that had the ice quirk in your class. Her face was scrunched up in displeasure as she was staring you down.
It made you want to crawl up in a corner and die even more than you did on a regular basis.
You still felt the effects of it after you've turned back to your homework as a way escape what you could only call a disappointed but deadly glare, and to distract yourself. Uraraka had looked a little like a mother scolding you, but at the same time hoping you'd lit up and burn.
Which was a pretty disturbing image.
Unfortunately that wasn't the only occurrance.
You noticed quickly that every time you rejected Izuku's efforts (due to your dumb teenager brain) after that evening, Uraraka's eyes would be on you, schooling you with that icy glare again.
Not once did that fail to make you look away with shame.
You knew it couldn't be because you were being a jerk to her best friend, not even Bakugou had ever received such cold treatment from the brunette and he'd been quite persistent on making Midoriya's first semester in UA as hard as humanly possible.
Kaminari's voice chimed into your head once again and you had to physically shake that thought off.
You didn't need any false hope.
After all you were that kid in class that was always tired, mostly some kind of pissed and despite being kind of nice to most people (which you still think you are!) you were extremly rude to Midoriya.
There was no rational reason for him to be into you. None at all.
The only thing you two had in common was that both of you were constantly hunched over your notebooks, the green-haired boy to add to his collection of Hero analyses and you to do whatever you did with that old thing. You sketched, you wrote down notes and ideas, you made lists...really it was more junk than useful.
You'd been hung up about this fungus for days now, even more than usually and it slowly but steadily took over your thoughts of every awake minute of your day. You needed to stop this before "it" was getting too hard to control. If you weren't careful you would accidentally blurt out your feelings for him or even worse...
Do something as stupid as kiss him the next time he was trying to talk to you. That would be truly catastrophical.
You needed to get over this, be the bigger person and leave the infatuation die out. The best way to kill a fungus was to deprive it of its nutrition after all. So no false hope, no longingly staring at Deku, no picturing you two holding hands, nothing!
You were a Hero-in-Training, you wanted to be a Pro someday, so the only solution was to get a grip and handle your problems face on. By pushing them even deeper down until you were over them.
A knock on your door ripped you out of your thoughts. You startled at the noise.
It was late, you checked the clock and yes, it was late. Not late enough for anyone to be worried you were already in bed. It was common knowledge your sleeping schedule was fucked, considering how many times you joked with Shinsou about it, who, surprise, struggled with sleep, too.
Sitting up from your hunched over position on your chair, you contemplated whether to open the door or not. You really didn't feel like talking to anybody right now, too frustrated by the Midoriya Izuku problem you tried to find a solution for. Still you were curious who wanted to see you around this time, instead of just texting you.
Screw it, you thought.
You jumped up, crossing your room in a few steps before ripping open your door, half expecting Mina or maybe Shinsou in front of it. Who you found instead made you freeze and the greeting you'd prepared die on your tongue.
This was a joke, wasn't it?
"Ahh, i'm sorry. It's just me. I know it's late, i just...Can we talk?"
This was a joke. Your love life was a joke.
Just as you decided to get him out of your system, to stop engaging with him, to stop even thinking about him, who had chosen that exact moment to pop up in front of your door?
Midoriya freaking Izuku.
You stared at the green-haired boy, fidgeting nervously with his hand as he stood in front of you, tell-tale blush painting his freckly cheeks.
The audacity of him to look that adorable. It was beyond you.
Fuck, were you wordlessly staring again? Yes, Midoriya's increasingly worried expression told you you were doing just that.
What was that? Getting a grip on yourself? Yeah, right.
"I...i know, i'm sorry. I'll...it will only take a second," he tried again, stuttering helplessly around his words.
Why did he have to be so damn cute?
The only answer you managed was a curt nod, your brain once again failing to do the one thing it was supposed to do: Make your body function.
"I know you don't like me a lot. I..it's okay, i understand. You don't have to like me. I'm sure...i'm sure you have a reason, uh, it's fine really. I didn't want to bother you. I'll...i'll make this quick. Promise. I just, i need to tell you this to kind of..get it off my chest, i guess? Ochako thinks it's a good idea. To get it over with. To just tell you. You don't have to respond of course. I..."
Deku was rambling now, his cheeks tinted pink and despite how much you loved that sight, a flustered Midoriya Izuku with pink dusting his freckled cheeks, you knew if you didn't stop him now he would start manically mumbling to himself and you would have to struggle even harder to not do something stupid like, kiss the living shit out of him.
"Tell me what?" you disrupted and shit, you sounded more annoyed than you wanted to sound.
You blamed that on the frustration you felt with every growing minute you weren't able to just hold his hand and call him your boyfriend...okay what the hell, get a grip!
"Uh, right. I'm sorry, i'm rambling. I…," he let out a slow breath, straightened his shoulders and looked up at you with a new determination in his bright eyes. "I like you!"
Your brain short-circuited.
Midoriya, sweet, deadly Midoriya didn't seem to notice.
"I think you're amazing! You are so smart, your strategies during training and your idea about how Kaminari could use his pointer technique during the excercise on Tuesday was brilliant. I like that you're so honest with everybody and try your best to be nice to everyone! I know you were the one that locked Mineta into a locker because he was trying to spy on Yaoyorozu in the changing room. And you're, uh... you're pretty, too, aah", his face turned more red after saying that, "I know you probably don't feel the same, but maybe you do. Do you...do you like me, too?"
When Deku had finished he looked at you with the brightest smile you've ever seen on him, basically vibrating with excitement.
You were too overwhelmed by his sudden confession to be awestruck about it, your mind swirling with thoughts. Whatever you had expected, this was not it. This was anything but what you could have ever imagined and you had a wild imagination, your brain constantly came up with the weirdest ideas and scenarios you could be stuck in with him and still it could have never, ever made up something like that.
Midoriya Izuku confessing to you, telling you you were amazing and brilliant and pretty. He said you were pretty. He thought you were pretty. Class 2-A's personal sunshine believed you were pretty.
You were so lost in your own mind you hadn't noticed that you've continued staring at the boy in front of your door with a blank face for several minutes now. Midoriya's expression dulling with every second you didn't respond.
Panic. A wave of cold and suffocating panic washed over your body, leaving your body shaking. And shit, now your eyesight was getting blurry, too. Were you seriously about to fucking cry over some stupid boy confessing to you?
Deku, who noticed your glassy eyes, started to backtrack, throwing his arms in the air to wave them around franctically.
"I'm sorry. You...you don't have to say anything of course. It's okay if you...don't like me back. I-..."
You had shut the door in his face before he could finish his sentence and instantly regretted your impulsiveness at the glimpse you had caught of his face, a heartbroken look in his eyes, right before the door had closed.
Fuck.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Why did you do that?
That was not what you wanted to do!
Now tears were freely streaming over your face and you quickly rubbed the fabric of your hoodie to your eyes.
You were so stupid.
How were you supposed to tell Izuku you liked him, too, after shutting your door in his face directly after he told you he had feelings for you.
You felt like absolute garbage.
                                                             ─
Turned out garbage was not the end of it and you could actually feel worse than you already did.
You realized that the exact moment you caught sight of Midoriya Izuku's red and puffy eyes as he stumbled into class the next day.
Your heart sank when the usual giddy greeting the boy sent everyone's way stayed absent and Midoriya quickly scrambled to his seat, eyes lowered to the ground to avoid everyone's (and your) stare. Ururaka and Iida rushed to him as soon as he was sat down, obviously concerned about his blue state but he just waved them off with a smile you could tell wasn't genuine.
You didn't think you could bear seeing Midoriya like this for even a second longer, so you turned away and towards your open notebook again. Even without looking at the green-haired boy, you couldn't push down the guilt that was nagging away at you.
Mina who had noticed your glances towards Midoriya and crestfallen expression leaned back in her chair and gave you a questioning look as she subtly motioned towards the boy in question, who was probably trying to stop Uraraka from murdering you at the moment for all you knew.
The look in her eyes you've seen far too many times not to know what she was thinking.
This is your fault, isn't it?
Before you could answer, Aizawa, who you've never been happier to see, entered the room, his sleeping bag rolled up under his arm and declared the lesson was about to start.
Still, class, despite the partly interesting topic of hostage situations, did not help to take your mind off of Midoriya, who was for once in his life not taking notes on everything said like his life depended on it.
No, instead he was dully staring to the front, looking like his thoughts were far away.
And despite the fact that it made you feel even worse about yourself, you were unable to keep your glance from constantly shifting towards him. If only because you felt you deserved to feel like shit for wiping the smile off of Izuku's face and replacing it with tear-strained cheeks and dullen eyes.
As soon as lunch break arrived you were pulled away by Mina, who barely left you any time to pack up your things before she was dragging you out of the room. Kaminari followed behind you, obviously confused about what was going on but also keen to find out and be involved in the gossip.
You were a little surprised the pink-skinned girl waited long enough until you've gotten your food, which you weren't planning on eating anyway and sat down on one of the tables until she started the interrogation. Not that you planned to eat anyway.
"So, what did you do to our sunshine boy?"
Right to the point then, okay.
Kaminari looked between the both of you in confusion until the realization seemed to dawn on him.
"Wait, you are the reason Midoriya looks like he's cried himself to sleep?" the boy asked loudly, having never heard of subtlety.
Groaning, you buried your face in your hands.
Which was answer enough to Kaminari and Mina as they both started to bombard you with questions.
"What did you do?"
"Seriously, the guy looks heartbroken."
"Poor Midoriya. I've never seen him so sad. Oh no, he's crying."
"We knew you hated the dude, but you usually resort to only making Mineta cry."
You turned your head to look at the table you knew was usually preoccupied by Deku and his friends and fuck, he was crying, Mina was right.
Uraraka was hugging his shoulder, mumbling what you could only guess were reassuring words, or maybe she was telling him about the murder she was planning to commit on you to calm him. That girl was scarier than Bakugou when he was having one of his fits.
Midoriya tried to smile at his friends, probably to not worry them too much, that was so Deku. Unfortunately with the tears running down his face the smile didn't look very convincing.
"I'm a horrible person," you mumbled, turning around to bury your face in your arms.
"Well, only a little," Mina assured. "What exactly did you do?"
"He confessed to me and i shut the door in his face."
Silence fell over your table due to what you could only assume to be the shock your exclamation had caused.
"You're heartless," Mina deadpanned after a minute has passed.
"Well, why did you do that? What did the guy ever do to you?"
Kaminari sounded like you rejecting Midoriya like that was causing him personal pain.
Another groan, this one coming deep from within the depths of your soul, ripped from your lips.
You knew you were an asshole, they didn't have to tell you again.
"I panicked. I didn't know what to do!"
"So you shut the door in his face?" Kaminari specified, eyeing you with a critical look.
"Not purposefully! I just...he was telling me he liked me and then saying how amazing he thought i was and that he thinks i'm pretty and my brain short-circuited! I just...i panicked!" you tried to explain, but quickly found you didn't know what to tell them.
I've been crushing hopelessly on the boy for months now and didin't think he'd feel the same, so when he told me i almost started crying because i was so overwhelmed.
Yeah, not happening.
"Then apologize to him!" Mina urged you.
Kaminari nodded enthusiastically.
"Yeah. Say you're sorry and you didn't mean to be so harsh but he caught you by surprise!" he suggested and this time it was Mina's turn to show her enthusiasm with nodding vigorously.
"Yes! Then say he's a nice guy but you just don't feel the same. His heart will still be broken but he'll get over it," she continued.
Both of your friends highfived each other.
You looked down on the table, avoiding their glance. That would be a good plan, a solid plan, really, if it wasn't for the one vital fault it had.
"Yeah, can't do that."
You had said those words quietly, but Mina seemed to hear.
"Why not? Look at him. He's a mess," she told you.
You did not have to look at Midoriya probably still crying at his table to know that. Fuck, you didn't know if it was your guilt eating away at you but you swore you could hear him sniffling from over here.
Mina and Kaminari were staring you down and you decided to swallow down your pride. Put everything out there.
"Yeah, i know but...i can't tell him i don't return his feelings."
You were expecting outrage, confusion, shock, all of that. What you didn't expect was for Mina to start screaming at the top of her lungs.
"WHAT? YOU LIKE MI-"
You could only thank years of hero training for being able to launch toward the girl and clasp a hand over her mouth before she was able to finish the sentence.
"Mina! Shut up!"
Despite your efforts several heads turned your way, staring curiously into your direction. Out of the corner of your eye you saw that Midoriya was one of them and you started blushing furiously. Shit.
The pink-haired girl, you usually liked to call your best friend but maybe you should stop doing that right this instant, smirked at you with a dangerous twinkle in your eyes.
"You have a crush on Midoriya? Ha, is that why you're always so horrible to him? You're worse than Bakugou," Kaminari whisper shouted, then started laughing maniacally.
Mina joined him.
Staring blankly until they calmed down, you took the time to reconsider your life choices.
How come you had chosen to associate with those crackheads, when instead you could spend all your time with Tokoyami. He was calm, quiet, didn't engage in gossip and quite open to giving advice.
Shinsou would have been a possibility, too, if it wasn't for his involvement with Midoriya's friend group. You clearly lost all sympathy they ever held for you, now that you've broken their sunshine's heart...
"Perfect. Go tell him."
Mina's words managed to rip you out of your train of thoughts quick enough it almost gave you whiplash.
"Wha-"
Before you could finish though, the girl had already jumped to her feet, grabbed your arm and was dragging you around for the second time this day.
Realizing the direction she was heading for with you started panicking. You pulled your arm and dug your feet into the ground, but the girl’s grip was unrelenting.
“Mina. Stop it. Mina! Mina! Let me go!” you tried desperately.
And she did...only to push you the few remaining meters towards the table the so called ‘Dekusquad’ were sat at.
Several eyes darted to you as you came to a skidding halt. The most prominent glance belonging to a set of greens, filled with unshed tears.
Shit!
“Good luck!” Mina shouted from behind you and when you turned her direction you could spot her standing several feet away with fucking Kaminari next to her, both of them grinning and giving you a thumbs up.
"Y/n?" Uraraka's surprised voice forced you to look back toward the table.
You shot her a nervous smile, forcing your eyes to stay focused on her face instead of the boy right next to her. Judging by the worried look she gave you in return, you must look as crazy as you felt like in the moment.
"Uh...hi. Sorry. Wrong address," you sputtered, turning around to skitter away again, but Mina had sniffed out your attempted escape and appeared in front of you to shove you back towards them.
"No Mina. I...i need my backpack," you whisper shouted, trying to calm the beating heart in your chest.
She shoved it into your hands, but you didn’t have time to ask yourself where she even brought it out from, before you were standing in front of the very confused Deku and friends again.
Mina gave the people on the table a wide grin, turning towards the person of your affection.
"Now, Y/n has something to tell you, Midoriya sweetie,” she smiled sweetly at him and pat your head twice.
A last manic grin was sent your way before you were left on your own, again, stared down by Ururaka, Iida, Todoroki and none other than the boy himself.
"You've got something to say, Y/n?" Uraraka asked sweetly, cocking her head to the side.
"Ochako!" Deku complained quietly, before he looked towards you, red eyes wide and hopeful.
He sent you a nervous smile and your heart jumped at the sight. You had missed that smile so much and now you were the cause of it on top of it...
No! No, get a grip.
You scolded yourself mentally. For heaven’s sake, you were in UA, training to become a hero and you couldn't even tell the boy you liked that you were kind of, a little bit in lo...enamored by him.
That was pathetic. You already knew he felt the same about you. You could do this.
You clenched your fists, grip around your backpack tightening. You could do this! Taking a deep breath, then two more, you straightened your back.
"Let's talk!" you shouted, a little too loudly, cringing a little at your sudden outburst.
Fuck. Calm down!
"O-okay?"
Great, now he looked more intimidated than sad. Well done, Y/n.
You gave him a curt nod that ended up looking too robotic probably, judging by the confused glances you receibed, so you nodded once again. Then you clumsily gestured towards the exit of the cafeteria.
Izuku jumped to his feet, stumbling and almost falling in the process, quickly following behind you as you speed walked out of the room to find an area that was more abandoned with less nosy students that could overhear you confessing your...fungus to the boy.
The both of you ended up in one of the corridors that was kinda hidden away from the rest, as the only door led to a closet for cleaning utensilies.
"You...you wanted to talk?”
Midoriya was the first to break the silence, nervously looking around, as he fumbled with his hands. The tears had stopped but his eyes were still puffy and his nose was red. You felt even guiltier at the sight.
All the bravery you had been able to summon just seconds ago under Mina’s pressure had left your body when you realized you were alone with Deku now.
"Uh...yeah."
Before you could change your mind or say more stupid shit like "Uh...yeah" you dropped your bag to the floor, startling Midoriya, before kneeing down to rummage through the contents.
You found what you were looking for quickly, picking it up and pulling it out. Midoriya eyed the object in your hands with curiosity as you stood up again.
"Is that...your notebook?"
Ignoring the question you opened the book, quickly flipping through the pages until you found what you were looking for. You gulped. This would be embarassing, but you knew after making Midoriya cry you owed him some kind of amends.
With a sigh, and a final mental curse, you pushed the open book into his hands. The boy looked startled at first, looking at the item in his hands with interest.
His eyes widened, looking even bigger than they usually already were, when he took in the title of the opened page and he looked up at you with shining eyes.
"Just...read it," you pressed out, fighting the blush that threatened to creep up your cheeks.
That page...it contained 10 reasons of why you had thought you might have possibly developed a crush on him. You remembered you had written them down a few weeks ago, but unfortunately you still remembered all of them clearly.
10 reasons why i think i might have a crush on this Deku kid:
He's a soft boy (his freckles, his squishy cheeks, his cute fucking smile and did i mention the CURLS??? illegal!)
His face is irritating me. I want to pinch it, like every time he smiles or frowns or pouts or god...when he blushes...CAN HE JUST NOT DO THAT?
Extension: I think about kissing his face a lot...that's not normal. it's disgusting!
He is a crybaby and when he cries my heart hurts
Our zodiac signs are compatible (yes i checked)
I remember his birthday (it's july 15, boy's a cancer and nobody is surprised)
Yesterday he giggled and i think i went into cardiac arrest for a bit there
He's so smart, he mumbles a lot about theories and quirk observations and i don't even understand half of that shit but it's fucking hot
Green is suddenly my new favorite color whoops
He's so so nice to everyone! Even me! I'm awful! Stop it Izuku! I don't know how to do words around you and everytime you look at me with those big green eyes it doesn't fucking help.
You had adverted your eyes while Izuku was reading through your listing, your stomach churning with fear at how he’d react when he figured out you’d been into him for a while now.
The silence that followed was killing you and you had to fight yourself not to take a glimpse at the boy to see if he was finished reading by now.
“You...like me, too?”
The question starled you, although you should have expected it. You nodded quickly, still turned away, hoping he wouldn’t notice your flushed face.
A hand grabbed yours and you flinched a little in surprise at the sudden contact, head jerking to look at Izuku again.
The sight in front of you took your breath away.
Deku’s smile was so wide you thought it might split his face in two, his eyes watery and his lips wobbly with emotions. He squeezed your hand once, twice and you felt your blush deepen at the attention.
“I’m so glad, y/n-chan,” he told you, voice filled with emotion.
Your face probably exploded with red at the new nickname he had given you, a small smile breaking on your face as well as you saw Midoriya Izuku so wonderfully happy, smiling because of you.
Finally, you made him smile so wide and beautiful, all by yourself.
Maybe this fungus growing inside your chest with every second you let the boy in deeper wasn’t so bad after all...

“HE WHAT?”
You bit your lip, wincing at his loud voice. You quickly slammed your palm against his mouth to shut him up. At this point you were wondering if it was a good idea to tell Renjun about the talk between you and Jaemin at his house yesterday.
“Could you be any louder?” you hissed, nervously smiling at your classmates who were staring at the two of you. Renjun’s hand wrapped around your wrist to  pull your palm away from his face, frowning at you with a roll of his eyes. “So let me get this straight, two years of treating you as if you’re the bane of his existence and two months of you ghosting him, he suddenly wants to restart your whole friendship?” Renjun emphasized, his brows furrowed.
At that moment you had a flashback of Jaemin’s taken aback expression when you refused, the way he made a downtrodden expression at your words that almost made you take it back the instant you said it. The way you exited his room with a heavy heart, forcing yourself to get out of the house you missed visiting so much. The empty feeling that came when you moved further and further away to what your soul called home.
You let out a heavy sigh, nodding. “Pretty much,” you confirmed, your heart aching at the memory of the way Jaemin’s hopeful expression melted into one that resembles a small child when his mom had thrown out his favourite toy. Well, it kind of felt that way as well, if you were being honest.
“Seriously, I know he’s dumb but I didn’t think he’d be this dumb! Dude, he had no right to come crawling back after breaking that music box. It was your-”
“I know, Renjun. You don’t have to tell me twice. It was my music box, after all.” you snapped back, stopping him from finishing his sentence as Renjun bit his lip, watching as your expression grew dark at his words. “I’m sorry,” he mumbled, looking down at his fingers when he realises he had spoken too much. “It’s fine, just forget about it, alright?” you rubbed your temples, waving him off.
Renjun cleared his throat, swallowing his guilt for bringing up the sensitive topic. “So what did you say?” he asked, trying to keep his tone casual. You bit the insides of your cheek, wincing at the memory before mumbling under your breath, “I said no.”
Renjun’s eyes widened. Truthfully, he was proud of you for refusing the bastard. Alhough, he couldn’t help but wonder why you said no. He thought you’d jump at the opportunity to restart your relationship like opening a new chapter to a book. After all, he knew you’ve been dreaming of loving and being loved by your soulmate like the hopeless romantic that you’ve been your whole life. He didn’t expect you to refuse Jaemin’s offer, and by the looks of it, you didn’t either.
“Oh. Is it okay if I ask why?” Renjun asked hesitantly, unsure if he wanted to know the answer. You let out a puff of breath, leaning your head back to keep your tears in painfully aware of your curious classmates. “It hurt, you know. I mean, call me selfish for rejecting my own soulmate but it’s just really unexpected you know?” You started, blinking back your tears.
“Jaemin was my best friend, I knew him like the back of my own hand. And sometimes, he changes his mind on a certain opinion due to peer pressure or because of guilt. A part of me was happy that he wanted to start things over, trust me, I was ecstatic.” You added on, trying to swallow the heavy lump gathering in your throat. “But again, another part of me thought that it was too good to be true, you know? I overthink alot sometimes and it gets me down a lot but-” you paused to close your eyes, rubbing them with your palm to casually wipe off your tears.
“But a part of me didn’t want to believe that he wanted to restart. I don’t know why, I mean, it doesn’t make much sense!” You sat back up, looking at Renjun with an exasperated expression, your eyes red as your mind keeps screaming at you in messy thoughts. “He saw me as the living bane of his existence for almost two years. I loved- I still love him! But he didn’t need my love, hell! He told me that a countless amount of times that he couldn’t see a future with me.” You exhaled, clenching your fists tightly in the pockets of your hoodie.
“Maybe I didn’t want to accept that he wanted to change. So my dumb mind decided to assume things I shouldn’t. Maybe he’s doing this to stop people from looking at him as the asshole who rejected his own soulmate. Maybe he finally gave in from the anxiety and peer pressure. For fucks sakes, maybe he’s doing it because he feel sorry for me. Maybe he’s tired of seeing his former best friend moping around from unrequited love that he decided to force himself back into my life when I’m finally starting to get better.”
You rambled on and on, oblivious to the fact that Renjun was staring at you speechlessly, his brows furrowed in concern. Your pupils shaking as you try to keep your tears back, your head leaning down to look at your feet nervously as you continued to ramble on about the boy who hurt you. The boy who made you feel so much pain. The boy who broke you.
“I don’t want people to love me because other people wants them to. I want Jaemin to lov- to like me for my dumb self. It’s not fair to him, it’s not fair to me. I don’t want to wake up and stand by Jaemin knowing that he’s just doing it because he feel sorry for my pathetic ass,” Renjun cuts you off by tugging the hood of your hoodie over your head, halting you of your frantic rumbles, glaring at a few of your classmates who were starting to look at you questioningly.
You took a deep silent breath, feeling Renjun’s hand lay on top of your head comfortingly as you try to hold back your tears. You were a mess. How did things end like this? How did you end up so broken over losing your best friend?
Why did it hurt so much?
You said ‘love’. But really you don’t know what love is. You’ve never felt love before. Sure, you felt parental love, family love, love in friendships. But what was it like to actually feel loved by the person who was born to do nothing but love you? When did you realise you loved Na Jaemin so much? What made you so attached to him? What had happened to make you so determined to change his mind and forcing him to love you?
Oh who were you kidding? You remembered everything. There isn’t a day that goes by since you realised how much you loved Na Jaemin.
You remembered the first time Jaemin actually made your heart skip a beat was a couple months prior to your birthday, before you got your stupid soulmate tattoo. You two were in your first year of high school. Young, innocent and happy. Life was simple. You had Jaemin by your side, and he had you by his. You were infamous for being attached at the hip, that people believed you were going to be soulmates by the time you get your tattoos.
“Good morning, y/n!” your friend greeted you as she sat on the seat right in front of yours, making you look up from your work book. You had forgotten that you had homework the day before, so you were trying to do all of your 20 numbered homework in the span of 15 minutes right before your teacher arrives to class. Jaemin refused to lend you his homework that night because he was too busy playing games again.
“Hey!” you greeted frantically, giving her a small wave as you aggressively scratch the mistake from your paper with your pen, too much in a rush to take out your whitener and remove the spelling mistake you accidentally made on your paper. “Another day of doing homework before the teacher arrives, huh Y/n?” she chuckled, scanning the work book placed on your desk as you tried to write as fast as you could.
“Indeed, I am. Because a certain someone didn’t want to help me with my homework!” you huffed, attracting Jaemin’s attention from three tables away from you. He turned his head at the sound of you shading him from halfway across the room, halting his conversation with his friends to yell ‘I can hear you!’
“You better!” you shot back, sticking your tongue out at your best friend who just gave you an innocent peace sign. You went back to focusing on your homework with an annoyed huff, blowing out a puff of air as you frantically wrote down the answers to question number 11. Your friend chuckled at the innocent banter, shaking her head at the two of you. “I swear you two are practically soulmates,” she joked. You gave her a menacing glare as you wrote.
“Kidding!” She grinned, waving it off before looking down at your paper, wincing slightly when she saw the answers. But she knew not to tell you since you were already in distress. Instead she peered at you, squinting when she saw something quite off about you on that certain day. “You look different,” she commented.
You didn’t look up from your paper, choosing to nod slightly before sticking your tongue out in concentration. “Uh-huh. What about me looks different exactly?” You asked, licking your lips in concentration as your eyes dart from your textbook to your workbook. “I don’t know, you just look suspiciously off today.” your friend continued with a suspicious hum, examining your features slowly.
“Off?” you muttered mindlessly, scratching off another spelling mistake you accidentally made. “Off how, exactly?” you mumbled once again, paying no mind to your friend looking at you as if she was playing a ‘try to spot the difference’ game. “Wait a minute.” Your friend gasped, dramatically raising a hand to cup her mouth.
You look up at her with a raised eyebrow, your hand still writing sloppily on your paper as you let out a small ‘what?’ in response. “Y/n! Are you wearing lip gloss?!” she exclaimed with a small squeal, causing you to drop your pen in shock. You gaped, not knowing what to respond as your mind spun to come up with some lame excuse to say no. “What?” was all you could say to respond to your friend who couldn’t keep her grin from stretching eye to eye.
“Yeah, you’re definitely wearing lip gloss. Oh my god, little y/n is growing up and wearing make up!” she squealed, the cheeky grin never leaving her lips as she leaned her cheek against her palm, watching you come up with some lame excuse. “I’m not! I swear!” you shook your head vigorously, frantically waving your hands as you tried to wipe of the glossy pigment from your lips, embarrassment flooding your face.
“Oh come on, don’t deny it! I know lip gloss when I see it! You can’t lie to a person who sells lip gloss for a side job, y/n!” she giggled, waving her hand off as you continued to deny it. “It actually looks great on you, not gonna lie. Though you might wanna buy something from my store to see something that would actually match with your whole aesthetic!” she exclaimed causing you to whine.
“I’m not wearing lip gloss,” you muttered shyly, looking down at your homework before picking up your pen with a small pout. “But does it really look good though?” you asked after a few seconds, looking up at your friend who laughed in response. “Yeah! I think a different colour would suit you even more though. I’ll show you my lip gloss stock if you want. And some stores for recommendation, too!” She encouraged with an enthusiastic nod.
You scrunched your nose at the thought of using make up in school. But what can you say? You were a normal teenager 15 year old girl who just wanted to try somethings new after hitting puberty, would it kill you to try on a few light make up cosmetics once in a while?
“Maybe I’ll start using lip gloss more then,” you chuckled, looking up at her confidently which caused your friend to give you an encouraging thumbs up. “Oh my god, you’re actually going to wear make up. I thought that’s never going to happen till you’re at least in your late 30s.” She exaggerated causing you to let out a whine in retaliation, smacking her arm as she giggled at you.
It all happened so suddenly.
Before you could process it, you felt two fingers cupping your chin, turning your head to the side. You froze when you saw Jaemin standing right beside your desk, next to you and your friend with his thumb and index finger holding your chin gently and turning your head to face him. He tilted your head up with a serious expression spread across his face as he concentrated on your face, causing you to flush in embarrassment at the sudden contact.
You and your friend’s eyes widen at his bold move, staring at him with a baffled expression. “J-Jaemin! What are you doing?!” you exclaimed, your hand coming up to his wrist in alarm but making no effort to remove it. There was something comforting in the way Jaemin gently held your chin up at him as his eyes examined your lips, most of the gloss having been wiped off by your hand previously.
You looked up at him in confusion before tensing in his hold when his other hand came up to your face to wipe off the remaining gloss on your lips with his thumb. The rough texture of his thumb swiping over your slightly chapped lips, the gloss now staining his skin as he gently rubbed your bottom lip in feathery motions. His touch so soft and gently you could barely feel it.
In a split second, the comforting feeling disappeared when he pulled away from you with a bashful smile, his ears slightly red at his own actions as he wiped his thumb against the fabric of his pants. He cleared his throat gently as you gaped, still taken aback at the unexpected touch that felt slightly too intimate for two best friends like you should be feeling.
“Don’t wear lip gloss. Or any other make up,” he said at you, his sweet smile making your heart flutter, your stomach still doing somersaults at his previous actions. “You look way prettier without make up. If I catch you wearing make up once again, I won’t hesitate to wipe it off of your face by my own hands again.” he chuckled, coughing to cover how flustered he felt as you bit your lip nervously.
You bit back a smile, nodding at him as you looked down at your shoes. “Whatever you say, Jaemin.” you muttered under your breath, as he snuck his hands into the pockets of his pants. Jaemin bashfully smiled before turning to leave the classroom to the bathroom to get rid off the glittery pink pigment off of his thumb. You coughed, turning to your friend who just stared back at you with her jaw dropped wide open.
She let out a laugh of disbelief, giving you a knowing look as she closed her gaping mouth to form a cheeky smirk. “I stand correct. You two are totally soulmates,” she sing-songed with a shake of her head, turning to her own desk as you let out a soft whine at your friend. “Shut up, I’m literally going to be so pissed if you two don’t end up having the same tattoos once your birthday comes by,” she commented, making you flush in embarrassment.
You gazed at your left wrist, longing to see what your soulmate mark would look like. You let out a flustered smile at the thought of your own best friend having the same soulmate mark as you, a giddy feeling rising up your chest as you stifled a soft giggle. You swallowed down the funny feeling of your heart fluttering and butterflies swarming around your stomach when you heard the door to your classroom open.
A familiar voice boomed through the walls of your classroom. “Good morning, students!” your teacher exclaimed, a pile of books in hand. You glanced back at your half filled paper, panic rising up your spine as you let out a deep breath.
“Shi-”
The memory sent sharp pains into your heart, your wrist burning once again against your skin as you scrunched your face in pain, wiping the tears away with the fabric of your sweater. Renjun sighs as he watches at you sympathetically, wanting nothing more but to take your pain away. But he knew he couldn’t do anything but watch his best friend writhe in pain as you continue to try to move on from being rejected by your other half, hoping that you would get the happy ending you deserved at some point in your life.
He knew he wasn’t going to turn a blind eye if Jaemin tried to hurt you again. He wasn’t going to stand still and let you get hurt,. He was going to give Jaemin a piece of his mind. He was going to make sure Jaemin would think twice before talking to you. He can’t stand watching you break in front of him, leaving him to comfort you and make you stop blaming yourself for something that wasn’t entirely your fault.
It wasn’t your fault you were stuck being soulmates with someone so selfish and inconsiderate. It was the world’s fault. It was fate’s fault. If there was something that Renjun could agree on with Jaemin, it would be how he thought fate was too cruel for putting the two of you together.

You scratched the back of your head as your eyes scanned the seemingly endless row of books on the shelf for that book your friend recommended to you a few days ago. Brows furrowing as you leaned your head up, squinting to see the book you were looking for, using your pointer to spot the title as you slowly stood on your tippy toes before you found what you’re looking for.
You grunted as a hand coming up to support you on the shelf as you attempt to reach the damn book. “God dammit,” you muttered under your breath, huffing as you started hopping to reach the book before looking both ways to see if the coast was clear and lifting your foot up to the shelf to climb it.
“Y/n?”
You paused, slowly turning your head around to see Jaemin poking his head from in between the books from the other side of the shelf across the one you were climbing on. “Jaemin?” you jerked your head to the side to see Jaemin even more clearly, biting your lip at how quick you turned your head at the sound of his voice. “Are you okay?” he asked with a slight chuckle.
Your foot almost slipped at his words before you quickly gripped on the wooden shelf even tighter to regain your tight grasp on it, leaning your body against the shelves even more as you let out a small squeak. “Fine! Just fine!” you exclaimed, giving him a nervous smile before looking up at the book. “Just trying to get a book.”
“Oh, do you need help?” he asked with a sweet smile. You turned away from him, shaking your head. “Nah, I got this covered,” you said, using a free hand to wave him off before reaching for the book. But to your avail, you weren’t even close to touching the damn book. You groaned internally, masking your pain in case Jaemin was still looking.
You turned slightly, trying to see if Jaemin was still watching you from the corner of your eye. To your surprise, he wasn’t. You sighed heavily, relieved that he had left you alone, so that he couldn’t witness your futile attempt, but how were you supposed to get your book now?
Less than ten seconds later, Jaemin came back with one of the librarians’ special stepladders, shooting you a smile as he watch you try to climb the damn shelf. “I knew your short ass would refuse my help so I just went ahead and ask for a stepladder,” he joked, putting the stepladder right beside you before climbing up and grabbing the book himself, watching you frown and climb down the shelf, hopping onto the carpet floor.
He climbed down the steps to stand in front of you, the white book in his hand. “Your book, your highness,” he smiled, handing you the book as you looked down in embarrassment, muttering a small ‘thank you’ under your breath. “What were you doing here anyway?” you asked, looking up at him as you hugged the book to your side.
Jaemin bit his lip shyly, a hand coming up to rub the back of his neck as the tips of his ears grew red. “Would it kill me to say I saw you coming here and I followed you because I wanted to see you?” he confessed. You felt your heart jump, feeling yourself getting flustered as butterflies swarmed your stomach.
He’s got to be kidding.
You gulped, biting back a smile before shaking your head as your mind wandered to the events that happened the day before. You slowly released your bottom lip from your teeth before a frown took place across your lips, you coughed awkwardly before nodding at him, trying to cover up how flustered you felt. “No, not at all, but I do think that’s quite concerning,” you commented, clearing your throat.
Jaemin frowned at how your previously flustered expression had morphed into one that displays just how uncomfortable you felt, wondering if he had said something wrong. He tried to pay no mind to it, clearing his throat before speaking up again. “Anyways, what’s that book for? A project or something?” he asked, pointing at the white book he previously grabbed that was now in your grasp. “Huh?” you looked down to see the book in question before your mouth formed an ‘oh’.
“No, not a project. Yeoreum, you remember Yeoreum right? She’s in our History class on Fridays. She recommended me this book to read because according to her, I really need to get my mind off things. I took her word for it and searched for this damn book,” You explained, opening the book before flipping through the seemingly endless pages of words and paragraphs. “Well you must be desperate to take your mind off of things to have to climb up the shelf to get the book,” he chuckled.
You let out an awkward laugh, nodding as you looked away from him, feeling your heart clenching. You both knew what you couldn’t take your mind off of. “I guess you can say that,” you mumbled, your voice trailing off as a soft frown took place across your face once again. Jaemin bit his lip, trying his best to come up with something to keep the conversation going.
You took a step back awkwardly. “I’m just going to get this checked out. I’ll see you later, then, Jaemin.” You waved at him with a tight lipped smile, turning around to slowly walk to the librarian’s desk. Jaemin’s eyes widen slightly, trying to come up with some pathetic excuse to stand by your side. “Wait!” the words left his mouth before his brain could decipher it.
You paused in your step, hesitantly turning your head back to him. “Yes?”  you asked almost inaudibly. Jaemin gulped when he realised he had nothing to say, biting his lip as he retracted his hand that he had unconsciously stretched out when he stopped you. “Can I come with?” he asked, cringing at how desperate he sounded.
“You want to come with me to check out my book?” you asked, slightly confused as you furrowed your brows at him. Jaemin opened his mouth, hoping that he would come up with something as an excuse to be with you longer. But to his dismay, nothing came into his mind. Not even a lousy excuse.
He closed his mouth abruptly, avoiding your eyes as he nodded with a shy smile. “But why? Don’t you have practice or something?” you asked, cocking your head to the side. Jaemin gulped at your question, internally debating on whether to lie to you or tell you the truth. He sighed as he remembered how you despise whenever he lies to you and how you can still read him like an open book.
“I just want to spend a little more time with you,” he spoke truthfully.
You felt your stomach do somersaults, as you maintained an emotionless expression to try to cover up how your heart was practically soaring through the skies at the thought of Jaemin wanting to spend more time with you. “Oh.” you mumbled, looking down as you try to conceal how flustered and happy you felt. “Okay then,” you replied almost inaudibly.
He wanted to spend more time with you? What was that suppose to mean? You literally live next door! You have at least one class with each other every day, what more could he want?
You shook the thoughts out of your head, not wanting to get your hopes up. Never again. You didn’t want to think that you had a chance with Jaemin anymore. You’re going to come to terms with reality and move on. Maybe he just wanted to be friends again? I mean, you two have been best friends since you were in diapers. It would be a shame to throw away more than a decades worth of friendship.
“So what are you doing after this?” he asked after a short pause as you both walked up to the librarian’s desk, handing her the white book. “Is that all?” she asked, not sparing the two of you a glance as she scanned the code on the book. You nodded at her before responding to Jaemin, “I’m heading over to Mr Seong’s office, he says he wants to talk to me about the art club or something.”
Jaemin’s mouth formed an ‘o’ shape, nodding slowly before furrowing his brows in confusion. “I didn’t know you joined the art club,” he exclaimed. You turned your head to him with your eyebrows raised. “What do you mean? I’ve always been in the art club since our second year of high school?” you raised a brow questioningly.
Jaemin’s eyes went wide at your statement, racking his brain as he tried to remember if you had ever mentioned anything about the art club. “Doesn’t ring a bell,” he mumbled, his brows furrowing in confusion. You smiled softly, letting out a soft chuckle. “It’s fine. Renjun got me into it, it’s pretty fun though. I finally get how you feel when you rant to me about practice.” You waved it off, grabbing the book and thanking the librarian before walking out of the library with him along your side.
Renjun, huh?
“You two have been pretty close, huh?” Jaemin couldn’t stop himself, cringing back at how bitter he sounded. You didn’t seem to notice, though as you hummed in response. “He’s there for me when I need him, and I’m there when he needs me,” you replied simply as the two of you made your way to Mr. Seong’s office. Jaemin felt an ache in his heart at how happy it made you when you talked about Renjun, his heart clenching against his chest.
“Also! He taught me how to use acrylic paints properly!” You exclaimed almost childishly, taking Jaemin aback at how hyped you were. Your eyes wideend slightly before taking a step back, giving him a bashful smile. “Sorry, its just- I’ve always wanted to use paint properly without messing it up too much and luckily, I have Renjun to teach me,” you exclaimed with a light laugh, causing Jaemin to give you a tight lipped smile.
“Sorry, I’m getting a little side tracked. Oh, well. We’re here,” you stated, realising how fast time flew when you turned to see that you were both standing in front of the door to Mr Seong’s office. “I guess I’ll see you around, Jaemin,” you waved, knocking on the door softly before poking your head in and stepping into your teacher’s office.
Jaemin stood still in his tracks, staring at the wooden door. The Winnie The Pooh painting from one of the students from his arts class that was hung right beside it felt like it was making fun of him with it’s sinister smile. He stood there in the half empty halfway, gazing down at the floor in an almost depressing way.
It wasn’t suppose to be surprising but the ugly feeling still laid deep down in his heart. The ugly feeling of realising how he’s been replaced by someone else.
Tumblr media
“So anyways, I went- hey, is that y/n?” Hyuck pointed, his head turning to the door of the art club. Jaemin turned his head up, gazing away from his phone screen before turning to where his friend was pointing at. “She’s part of the art club?” Hyuck whispered, leaning close to Jaemin as they watched you paint on an empty white banner as you chatted with your friends on the white tile floor through the glass window on the door.
“Yeah, I guess. She told me that, the other day.” Jaemin nodded, not tearing his gaze away by how the light from the sun peering through the window illuminated the room, admiring how the sunshine made it look like as if you were glowing. “Apparently, Renjun got her into it.” he added, his voice trailing off as he leaned his body more to the side to get a better view of your smile, watching as you threw your head back laughing at a joke your friend made.
He had a small content smile of his own as he watched you wipe your cheek with the back of your hand, turning your head when your friend pointed at how you had accidentally smeared yellow paint across your cheek in the process. You took two fingers and swipe them across your cheek, looking back at the yellow now staining your fingers before laughing along with your friends.
“Oh hey guys, what are you doing here?” Jeno smiled, walking over to lay his hand over the handle of the door, involuntarily blocking his sight of you. Jaemin frowned slightly but bit his tongue when he realised Jeno was going to go inside. “Oh hey, Jeno. We were just passing by.” Hyuck nodded, looking at Jaemin who gave him a knowing nod.
“What are you doing?” Jaemin asked curiously, trying his best no to eye Jeno’s hand on the handle of the door. “Oh, I’m just here for voluntary work.” Jeno replied, gesturing the tote bags filled with paints and brushes in his hands. “Voluntary work? I didn’t know you do that?” Hyuck exclaimed, adjusting his spectacles as he eyed the bag filled with paints and brushes.
“Yeah, well. I’m pretty good friends with Yanan, the president of the club and he wanted some help in painting the banners for like some sort of event? I don’t remember, man. I’m just here trying to be a good friend,” Jeno shrugged making Hyuck let out a sarcastic laugh. “That’s so random of you. Are you sure you haven’t been bribed or anything?” he asked, crossing his arms as Jeno rolled his eyes.
“Shut up, Hyuck. I’m not you, I don’t do things just because it benefits me, dumbass.” Jeno stuck his tongue out, causing Hyuck to let out a small laugh. “Well, enjoy your little picasso painting session then, Lee Jeno. Me and Jaemin are going to-”
“Hey, can I come?”
The two boys turned to Jaemin with equally baffled expressions and furrowed brows, but the boy beside them wasn’t even sparing a glance at them. However, he was leaning his head to the side as if he was looking through Jeno’s shoulder for something. Or someone.
“Huh? You want to go with him? For what? Painting banners for hours? Dude, I thought you wanted to head to the arcade!” Hyuck exclaimed incredulously, looking at his best friend in disbelief. To his dismay, Jaemin wasn’t even close to paying attention to him, his words turning deaf to the younger boy’s ears. Jeno turned his head to see what he was looking at before letting out a soft ‘ah!’
“Jaemin just wants to hang out with y/n,” Jeno teased, giving the boy a light smirk. Jaemin snapped out of his trance, his pupilss dilating as he cleared his throat. “Shut up, Jeno.” He muttered, eyes avoiding his friends’ gaze to hide how flustered he felt. Hyuck simply tsked at the boy, shaking his head in disappointment. “And I thought you were better than this, you certified simp.” Hyuck tutted, crossing his arms.
“We lost another one,” Hyuck cried out dramatically, receiving a smack on the upper side of his head afterwards from Jaemin who rolled his eyes at the boy. “Are you guys going to help me talk to her or not?” he asked with a tired sigh, running a hand through his hair in distress.
“Didn’t you get rejected the other day? Not to be mean or anything but what if she really doesn’t want to be friends with you anymore?” Jeno asked, a smile on his face but his voice was laced in deep concern. “In other words, you might bug her. You know? Like, back when you were still a total jackass less than a year or two ago,” Hyuck slung an arm around his friend’s shoulder who frowned at his words.
“I want to make it up to her, how am I suppose to make it up to her if she’s not going to talk to me?” Jaemin huffed. “I just really want to be on good terms with her again,” he frowned, guilt glossing over the brown haired boy’s eyes as he stared down at his sneakers. Jeno frowned, sharing a knowing look with Hyuck who gave a silent exasperated sigh before nodding at the older boy in confirmation as if to say ‘fine.’
“Fine, we’ll paint some banners just so you can talk to her,” Hyuck gave in, internally saying goodbye to the arcade after school before Jaemin decided to ask them to basically be his wingman. “Try not to fuck this up, please?” Jeno jokes causing Jaemin to let out a laugh with a sarcastic roll of his eyes. “Chill,” he inhaled.
“It’s not like I’m getting in to annoy her, I just want to talk to her,” Jaemin laughed as Jeno opened the door with a light chuckle. “It’s really cute how you don’t know that they’re literally the exact same thing,” Hyuck chuckled, slipping his hands into the pockets of the jacket he was wearing over his body as they both stepped into the bright art room, the fresh smell of paints, canvases and old brushes filling their senses.
“Jeno! What took you so long?” Yanan, the club president exclaimed, walking up to the three boys in an apron splattered with paint, a few smudges of paint spread across his skin as well. Jeno smiled sheepishly, “sorry, man. I got more people to help though. Guys, you know Yanan, right?” Jeno turned back to his friends who gave Yanan a friendly wave or a casual nod. “Oh hey, Na Jaemin, the football team’s captain, right? Lee Donghyuck from Calculus, right?” Yanan asked, receiving nods from both boys.
“I never knew you two would be into painting or shit,” Yanan cocked his head curiously as Jeno placed the tote bags on the desk nearby. “Yeah, well, you see. Jeno was like desperate because he didn’t want to do this alone.” Hyuck started rambling, making Jeno roll his eyes, grabbing an apron from the supply closet at the back of the room. “He begged and begged for us to join him. And us, being the amazing best friends we were, we had to agree because we can’t bare to see Jeno so upset and lonely. Right Jaemin?” Hyuck smiled sweetly at Jaemin.
Jaemin let out a small sigh, nodding silently as Yanan let out a soft laugh. “Whatever floats your boat,” he chuckled, shoving an apron into each boys’ grasps. “Get started, we don’t have all day. The quicker we can do this, the sooner we can all go home!” Yanan clapped enthusiastically, turning them before shoving them forward to the students who were sitting or laying on the floor as they painted the banners.
“Dude, I don’t even know what we’re suppose to be doing. What are we suppose to paint?” Hyuck exclaimed as he watched Jaemin put on his own apron, tying it around his waist as he stares back at your figure busy painting on different types of flowers on the corners of the banner. “I don’t know, just go with the flow!” Jaemin shot back defensively, picking up a brush of his own as he walked up towards you nervously.
“Hey y/n.”
Your head shot up, eyes widening to see Jaemin’s unexpected figure sitting right beside your laying figure. You were on your stomach as Jaemin sat down beside you, waving innocently and giving you a charming smile that almost caused you to swoon. “Jaemin?” you furrowed your brows in confusion, pulling your brush away from the banner as to not accidentally stain the floral patterns you drew with random paint drops. “What are you doing here? I thought you didn’t like art,” you wiped the wet brush off with a nearby cloth which was already stained with different paint colours before dipping the brush in a cup of water.
“It’s not really my thing but I’m here to help with.. er- whatever this is,” he smiled, gesturing to the banner as he sat up properly, crossing his legs. You raised your brow at him, unconvinced but you weren’t one to judge so you just shrugged and went back to painting. “Okay then, I’m not going to ask,” you muttered, removing the brush from the cup of water before patting it down with the previous cloth before poking the tip into a palette of paint.
“Wait, what exactly are we doing?” Jaemin asked, watching you furrow your brows when you realised you ran out of purple paint. “Uh, something about the banner for next month’s charity event?” You muttered, pressing your hand on the floor before sitting up and grabbing your palette, trying to get as many paint as you can into your brush. “Oh, the one after the game?” he asked, receiving a short hum from you.
“What are you painting then?” he asked, gesturing to the half finished floral patterns on the border of the banner. “I’m painting this one for the gate,” you didn’t even spare him a glance as you turned back to grab a tube of purple paint, smacking the tip against your palm before popping open the lid to squeezing the life out of the bottle. “It looks great, I didn’t know you could paint this well.” Jaemin commented, admiring how pretty you looked with the sun shining over your form, highlighting your pupils.
“Uh-huh-shit! I’m out of purple paint,” you clicked your tongue, beginning to stand up as you shut the lid of the paint bottle. “Hey wait, I can get it for you if you want-” Jaemin exclaimed, beginning to sit up as well but you shook your head at him. “I’m good, I bet Renjun still has some left over. I’ll just go ask him, you can just stay here and help paint or something,” you muttered, tearing your gaze away as you try to spot Renjun from the crowd of students huddling up over their own banners.
“Wait what am I suppose to paint?” he exclaimed when he saw you take a step back. You refrain from letting out a frustrated groan. You’ve been painting these banners for the past couple of hours, you had an exhausting day, you haven’t even finished that essay Mrs. Choi had assigned you to do the other day which was due tomorrow. You were exhausted, you just wanted to get this last banner over with so you can finally pack up and head home.
“I don’t know, Jaemin! Maybe help with the details of the flowers or something,” you snapped back, walking away from him before tucking the paintbrush in the space between your head and your ear. Jaemin frowned as he watched you walk over to Renjun with a polite smile, politely asking him for some paint, only for Renjun to nod and wipe the sweat off of his brow, standing up as he gestured you to head over to the back of the room to check the supply closet.
Jaemin blew out an annoyed puff of air, dipping his own brush in water as he spitefully dipped his paint brush in a can of paint nearby and decided to colour the tips of the leaves with a darker shade of green. “How did it go, lover boy?” Hyuck asked, standing right in front of the sulking boy who gazed up at him with a small pout on his face. “Shut up,” he grumbled, smearing green paint over the soles of the older boy’s shoes, causing him to squeal playfully in response.
“Hi Haechan,” you greeted as you returned to your spot beside Jaemin, laying back down on your stomach on the floor with a soft grunt. “Oh hey y/n,” he nodded, shooting you a warm smile as you proceeded on painting small purple petals. Jaemin cleared his throat, “so you free today?” he asked, eliciting a soft hum from you. “I don’t think so, why?” you responded, furrowing your brows as you stuck your tongue out in concentration.
“Well, I was thinking of getting started on the presentation?” Jaemin cringed at how pathetic his excuse was, biting the inside of his cheek as he carefully watched your reaction. “You know we could just do that thing where we share a document in google docs right? We don’t necessarily need to come over to each other’s houses for a little presentation project,” you chuckled weakly, dipping your brush in a little bit of water to lighten the pigment.
“I know, but my wifi hasn’t been working very well these days,” he lied through his teeth, leaning back against his arms as he clenched his fists behind him. “You know you’re always welcome to use the wifi from my house right? My wifi’s always fine,” you deadpanned, focusing on the miniscule details of the flowers as you spoke.
“Yeah well, I forgot the password,” Jaemin added on. Truthfully, Jaemin often used your house’s wifi whenever his was being crappy ever since you two shared wifi passwords a long time ago. “Dude, you literally use the wifi from my house all the time, stop lying.” You rolled your eyes at him, making small dots in the blank spaces in between the flowers and the leaves.
“Yeah well-” Jaemin sucked in his lips, not knowing what else to say before letting out a heavy sigh. “Would it really be a crime for me to want to hang out with you again?” he asked with a small frown, flipping one of the dried brushes he was previously given in between his fingers. You tensed up at his words once again, frowning simply as you paused your little painting session to try to calm your heart.
“Are you really doing this here? Right now? In front of all of our friends?” you replied shortly, feeling your throat getting dry as you try to ignore his eyes boring into the back of your skull. “What?” Jaemin raised a brow, unfazed as you turned your head to send him a glare. “I’m not having this conversation with you right now, Jaemin,” you frowned, turning your head to do the last finishing touches on your banner.
“Why not? We’re soulmates aren’t we? Aren’t we suppose to communicate to keep a good relationship between us?” he asked with furrowed brows, ignoring the awkward cough your club mate made beside you. You flushed in embarrassment at his words, taking a deep exhale before glaring at him. “Jaemin, just because I was nice to you in the library doesn’t mean you get to say things like that out of nowhere!” you shot back, your eyes going wide in alarm.
“Why not? I’m just stating facts, aren’t I?” he taunted, watching your face morph into an expression filled with hurt and sadness. “Seriously, Jaemin. I’m exhausted right now, let’s not do this today.” You sighed, wiping the sweat off of your brows with your forearm before standing up, wiping the paint smeared all over your fingers against your apron.
You avoided his glare as you turned your head to Yanan. “Hey Yanan, I think I’m done with my part. Can I go home? I don’t feel too good, right now,” you called out, walking away from Jaemin. “Fuck,” Jaemin muttered under his breath, rubbing his face with his palms in frustration. “Sucks to be you, bro.” Jeno patted Jaemin’s shoulder from behind him before walking away awkwardly to wash the dirty brushes in the water cup you previously used.

“He really isn’t giving up, isn’t he?” Renjun asked with a roll of his eye as you both ate ice cream together in your local diner. You groaned, hitting your head on the table, being careful to avoid hitting your ice cream cup. “I really want to give him a chance but it’s too good to be real, you know?” you explained, sitting up before leaning your cheek against your palm as you played with your ice cream.
“I completely understand,” Renjun nodded, taking a spoonful of his ice cream as he spoke. “I personally think you’re right for giving him a taste of his own medicine, it shows how he should be more grateful to the people around him,” he added on, scraping the sides of his ice cream cup before popping the spoon into his mouth, humming slightly at the taste.
You rolled your eyes at him, pointing your ice cream spoon at him threateningly. “I’m not doing this for revenge, Renjun! That’s way off! I really do want to restart things with him but I don’t think it feels right, you know? With the whole tattoo coverage, the ‘no soulmate’ talk and getting rid of my gifts. For two years! Two damn years, Renjun! I’d never thought the tables would turn like this,” you exclaimed, leaning back against the chair as you crossed your arms, popping the ice cream spoon in your mouth to get a taste of your own dessert.
“It just doesn’t sound too right. It seems suspicious, you know?” you mumbled. Renjun clicked his tongue at you, taking another spoonful of his ice cream as he hummed in understanding. “Did something big happen in the past two months to make him change his beliefs like that?” you asked aloud, making Renjun pause when his mind wandered to that time at the mall where he saw Hyuck, Jeno and Jaemin arguing in public at the corner of his eye.
“Beats me.” Renjun shrugged, shaking the memory out of his head. “Maybe he actually does want to change? I really don’t know what to say about this, I’m sorry,” he chuckled, shrugging his shoulders as he spoke, a smile spreading across his face. You frowned at him, pouting simply as you began to out more thought into the whole ordeal.
“I don’t know if you noticed. But he’s been being a cheesy romantic around me! Hell, he stopped covering his soulmate tattoo! He’s publicly admitting how we’re soulmates! If that’s not suspicious then I don’t know what is!” you exclaimed, making random motions with your hands exasperatedly. “It’s as if the roles have been reversed!” you added, groaning in distress as Renjun watches you stress on about this while casually eating his ice cream.
“I admit, that is quite peculiar and ominous of him. This is just proving my alien theory even more,” Renjun jokes, letting out a light laugh before you sent him a threatening glare. “Shut up, I’m serious! Come on, I’ve bugged him about this for two years to the point he broke that special music box and embarrassed me in front of both of our parents that night to get it through my head. And when I finally leave him alone, he’s started to act like when I found out we were soulmates for the first time,” You furrowed your brows, scrunching your face as your heart started to ache at the brief memory.
Renjun frowned at the mention of that dinner, remembering the first time you called him crying and sobbing your eyes out over the phone. “You know, if you’re really that uncomfortable with it. Have you tried to tell him to stop?” he asked, cocking his head to the side curiously. You nodded, “dude, he even started giving me daisies! Daisies! It’s sweet, really, it is. But it just hurts, you know? What if he’s only doing this for the sake of making other people happy? What if he’s just tried of everyone talking about how he’s probably the only human being in the world to reject his own soulmate?” you rambled.
Renjun frowned as you started to ramble on and on, your eyes becoming glossy as you continued to speak out. “Why are you looking at me like that?” you frowned, furrowing your brows when you see Renjun just casually eating his ice cream while staring at you with a face void of emotion. “I’m just casually listening to the random bullshit spewing out of your mouth,” he replied with a shrug, stirring his ice cream with his spoon.
You frowned. “Rude. Here I am complaining about my deteriorating love life while you’re just enjoying your damn ice cream.” You scoffed, crossing your arms with a small pout. “I know, I’m an amazing best friend.” he grinned, scooping up the remains of his ice cream before popping the spoon into his mouth. “I’m just saying. I’m really concerned for you and all but the more this goes on, I’m starting to view this as some kind of terrible k-drama.” he giggled.
“Really? Just a couple days ago you were looking at me as if I was some dying patient. Now, you’re making fun of my life, this is just getting sad,” you grumbled, rubbing your temples in distress. “Well, if you’re really that uncomfortable, then ask him to stop. I’m sure he has some brain cells left in that brain of his to understand,” Renjun advised, making random hand motions to emphasize his words.
Rolling your eyes, you shook your head ‘no’. “You know very well I hate confrontation. Plus, it’s going to take a toll on my heart, it really hurts, you know?” you leaned on the table, crossing your arms on the table before putting your chin on your arms. “This is going to sound dramatic and cliche but I just want things to go back to normal, you know? I’m tired of feeling so much pain everyday,” you drew random lines on the table with your pointer finger, sighing heavily.
Renjun bit his lip as he watched you close your eyes in content, basking in the calming atmosphere between you two with furrowed brows. His mind lost in thought as he let out a soft sigh of his own, wondering what he could do to help you.

“So I was thinking platonic LOV x child reader (You can make them 18 if you're more comfortable, but I was thinking more like 14-15) The reader (I'll refer to them as she/her, but you can make it gender neutral) has really bad insomnia so every night, she would be pacing around, doing anything and everything to make sure no dark thoughts take over. Usually, none of the LOV would bat an eye, but considering the fact that she's a child, they feel sympathy, so they indirectly try to get her to fall asleep. Like, sending her on extra missions (always with protection of course) or changing her normal tea with sleeping tea, or maybe just straight up telling her to sleep. Could you make it a fic too?“
Sorry if it took long! Here it isss~ I tried my best to write insomnia and stuff, but I didn’t want to misinterpret it ;(( I hope you like it!
Relationships: Platonic League of Villains x Gender-neutral!Reader
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: anxiety triggers, vague descriptions of anxiety attacks
Word Count: 1.4k
The moon's high up in the sky and looming over Japan as you lie wide awake on the thin and ragged futon laid on the floor. The walls of your current base are cold and mold-smelling which adds to the reasons why you couldn't sleep. You count the handful of bullet points you've crossed off your to-do list for the day: tracked the new equipment delivery, took down the sole witness of you and the League's traipsing from one hideout to another, stole some snacks from an old man's convenience store- yep. Just another day for you.
You did receive good remarks from the team after you've proudly reported to them at the end of your mission, but Shigaraki's words clung onto you: "I'm just glad you didn't mess up."
Sure, you are, too. Until you were reminded of one moment where you've landed a step louder than the previous ones and almost blew your cover, or when you almost forgot to clean up your mess after dispatching the witness. Your mind sidetracked to what could've happened if all of those did happen, and it didn't help that you knew how their powers work. Shigaraki would probably reduce your limbs to ashes, or let Dabi cremate you alive, or confine you in one of Mr. Compress' marbles. All of it made you sick in the stomach and you had to clasp your hand over your mouth to muffle the sudden belching sound that came out of you.
Your head started throbbing and your vision spun slightly as you sat up. You stayed hunched over yourself for a bit, eventually standing on your feet and lightly treading towards the little 'kitchen' set up by Kurogiri to grab yourself a glass of water. Except Dabi was already there to hand it to you. "You look awful." He greets. "Thanks. Not as much as you do."
The small exchange between you two incited a chuckle from him. He takes a sip from his cup, and you wonder, "Why do you have an extra glass of water?" He puts his down and says, "I know you get up at midnight to drown yourself in glasses of it so I figured I'd help you out." You nod absent-mindedly and at the back of your mind you think to yourself, maybe you weren't too careful or were too loud the past few nights. As you start lecturing yourself in your head, he notices you space out and ever-so-slightly flicks your forehead. "Don't know why you can't sleep, but just close your eyes and it'll happen eventually."
After all of that, he leaves the makeshift kitchen and sprawls himself onto his space, leaving you squinting at him.
You believe there's nothing particularly special with his words granted that his upbringing didn't really teach him to be friendly towards kids your age, but you'd be stupid to admit it didn't help ease you even just a teensy bit.
---
The next day drew quick and everyone's fast asleep in their corners. As always, you're left to wallow in the corners of solitude, mind racing with destructive thoughts that keep you very much awake. You make your way toward the kitchenette. You find a few used tea bags and teacups lying on the countertop, and figured Compress might have been awake just like you. Still, you reached for a tall glass and filled it with water to the brim, then exited the room to sit in the chilly air outside.
As you approach, you hear two- three voices speaking just outside. Hushed, but audible enough to discern who's who. Toga and...
"Twice?" You meekly croak as you stare at both of them, head tilted in wonder. Toga struts to you and tugs you by your wrist, carrying your glass of water for you in her other hand. "We've been waiting for you! Come sit with us~" She makes you sit on a wooden box beside Twice, then said man hands you a teacup filled with nice-smelling liquid. It must've been them in the kitchen, you thought. You set your glass down, take the cup and sip.
"Why are you two up so late at night?" You ask in between sips. Twice replies with a passive-aggressive statement along the lines of "We were worried you weren't getting enough sleep" and blaming Dabi. Huh, I guess he told them.
You smile at the thought of the intimidating man caring for you, and Toga flashes you her signature toothy grin back while she proceeds to tell you about her day as if it were any different from yours.
You were pretty sure she was loud enough to wake the others up, but the overflowing energy she radiates that much late at night couldn't bring you to shut her up. Besides, you've got Twice doing that work for you.
The conversation ended when you yawned quite hideously for the fourth time that night, Twice took your hand and led you to your bed that he had tidied up before tucking you in. He pats you on the head gently as your eyes flutter close.
---
It's been three weeks since then and during the time that had passed, it was always Toga and Twice that put you to bed. However for tonight, since Toga and Twice are away on a mission given to them by Shigaraki, you're left on your own.
You'd be lying if you said the midnight tea times you and the duo shared didn't give you a false sense of security, and that you hadn't clung onto it as soon as it dawned on you. Your mind drifted to Toga's face and her various comical expressions when she tells you her stories, or Twice's fatherly hands as he puts you to bed. It's been those two that took care of you and you've grown visually more attached to them, even familiarized yourself with their scent and warmth.
What if they get hurt badly? No. They won't.
But they said the mission was a little dangerous- They'll make it out alive. They're amazing!
Again, you find yourself in a downward spiral as your thoughts pull you into the void. Your mind's filled with what-ifs and buts that you don't notice your feet dragging yourself to someone else's room. You're caught in a mindless haze, your breath's starting to feel stuffy and your body feels sweaty and shit- no, it can't happen tonight. I have to be fine until Toga and Twice comes back.
Unless they don't-
"Hey, you're up." Shigaraki's voice snaps you out of it. He's standing in front of you, without the derpy-looking hand thing covering his face and he shows no emotion until you look at his eyes. His eyes meet yours and you see the worry, the sadness, the tender-loving brotherly look that he rarely sports. "Kurogiri, go make her some tea." He says after carefully taking your hand.
He sits on his makeshift bed, motions for you to sit and you oblige. He pulls you to him, resting your head on his chest and he pats your back softly. His movements are awkward and calculated to not destroy you with his quirk but he's trying, and you appreciate it and flash him a soft smile.
Not long after, Kurogiri comes back with a cup of the same nice-smelling tea you've been drinking with Twice and Toga. You remember the first time they’ve given you the drink, and how Dabi was the one who told them to do such a thing. They were precious, and your big brother and big sister for the time you were lost and insecure about your capabilities. For some out-of-this-world reason, you start bawling your eyes out on Shigaraki's shirt. He calls you out for staining his shirt, but his actions speak otherwise as he continues to pat you on the back. Kurogiri takes your hands, places the cup in them and gently rubs your forearm to console you. "They'll be fine, kid. We'll make sure of it."
“I feel like we haven’t told you this, but you’re doing well. Even Shigaraki says so.”
“Just don’t wanna inflate that pretty little head of yours or you might expect too much from us everytime.”
Shigaraki and Kurogiri's efforts of comforting you went deep into the night. Shigaraki wasn't sure if it was worth it, but when you've finally finished your cup of tea, relaxed and started snoring softly in his arms, he felt as if tons and tons of weights were lifted from his shoulders.
Somewhere in the midst of your slumber you’re reminded that everything’s going to be okay. You don’t know if it’s Shigaraki’s scent or the roughness of his fingertips on your scalp, but it tells you that you’re right here, safe and sound.
