Friday 26th of August I released my debutalbum. For me a dream came true. I got to release a record with the best band I could ever ask for, and who also became better friends than I could imagine. The band make my songs better by always understanding my vision and pushing it even further and that is so inspiring. The music we create together makes me beyond happy and proud. This is what I love and want to do. We have a lot of fun together, but of course this record is a result of hard work. That’s why it feels so good to share it with everyone now. I hope you feel all the feels by listening to our debut album, it’s yours now! Thanks to Die With Your Boots On Records for releasing it, to Matias Tellez for producing it, to Linn Heidi Stokkedal for taking the cover photo and to Hakan Foss for designing it. I love you! https://orcd.co/helloimembla

REtransLATE is a performance about communication and (mis)interpretation. The point of departure for the creation was to translate the different aspects of communication beyond words between the performers, though starting with personal stories.
One could wonder if in the end there is meaning in understanding what is said or if meaning is to be found in the spaces between what is said, which one might never be able to understand?
One listens and perceives. In the transfer of messages and stories from one person to another, one is never sure where the loss occurs on the one hand or where other dimensions of meaning tend to add up.
One would assume that any occurrence of a particular message gets transformed by our body, as much as this personal story is enhanced by a broader historical and cultural picture. In REtransLATE, the performers question the procedures of listening, interpretation and extraction in communicative situations - leaving the audience with the core of the matter: translating that transition.

Vegetation is a joyful celebration of the natural, unedited and uninhibited female body. This is a collaborative work between myself and the brilliant artist SilYeah B. Free. Her somewhat hairy body was the primary source of inspiration for this series and we wanted to incorporate her bodily texture into the vegetation surrounding her. Her poses are not vulgar or trying to entice the male gaze. SilYeah is representing play, confidence and curiosity and at the same time she is nature, a dragon and a wild spirit.
A big thanks to The Photographic Journal @tpj that published this story today. You must visit their website for the whole series (this is only a tumblr-friendly photo)
