A Day in Danville - Part 1
Phineas and Ferb – A Day in Danville
It was an ordinary summer’s day in Danville. Or not so ordinary; according to Candace Flynn. For her, it was another day of trying to bust her brothers for their dangerous projects. ‘I’m going to try anyway,’ she thought as she did most days that summer. She finished getting ready and started down for breakfast.
“Good Morning, Candace,” her mother said.
“Morning, Mom.” As she grabbed some cereal, she saw that her brothers, Phineas and Ferb, were already outside, planning their project, along with their pet platypus, Perry, wandering off in the backyard.
“I know what we’re going to do today!” Phineas proclaimed, after several minutes thinking about it.
It was that moment that their friend Isabella Garcia-Shapiro entered the yard and asked “Hey, What’s ya doo-ing?”
“We’re building a fairground,” Phineas
For Perry, it was just another day as an agent of the Organisation Without a Cool Acronym.
“Good morning, Agent P,” Francis Monogram said. “Doofenshmirtz has bought up half of the supplies of Almond Brittle in the Tri State Area.”
‘Really?’ Perry thought.
“He’s obviously up to something. Get going and put a stop to it.”
Once again, Perry left on his way to Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated.
“Carl! You need to find a substitute for Almond Brittle!”
“I don’t think there is, sir,” Carl Karl said.
“Wouldn’t there be another nut-based Brittle?”
“There is Peanut Brittle, sir.”
Candace came outside, to where Phineas and Ferb were near the tree. “What are you doing?” she asked Phineas.
“It’s a fairground,” he answered.
“I see that!”
“You like it?”
“Whether I like it isn’t the point!” Candace responded. “I’m going to call Mom.”
At that moment, Buford van Stomm entered the yard. “A fairground?” he asked.
“Yes,” Phineas answered.
‘He isn’t concerned about me calling Mom, as usual,’ Candace thought.
“Lame!” Buford said in response to Phineas.
“That’s why we’re ‘souping it up!’ as we say,” Phineas said.
“I’ll wait and see,” Buford said.
Candace took out her cell phone and called her mother.
“Candace?”
“Phineas and Ferb are building a fairground in the backyard!”
“A fairground?”
“Yes!” Candace said. “You have to come home and see it.”
“I’m filling in for your father at the Antiques Store this morning.”
“Oh.”
“I’ll be home in the afternoon.”
“But it may be gone by then!”
“See you later!” her Mom said before hanging up.
Candace grumbled and stalked back inside.
Agent P reached his destination, a strangely shaped purple building.
Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated!
“Ah! Perry the Platypus!” Heinz Doofenshmirtz said upon seeing his Nemesis enter his cluttered laboratory. “How incorporated! I mean, completely corporated!”
Perry glared at Doof.
“Uh, I thought I had something there…” Heinz said as Perry was trapped.
Perry gave a different look towards his nemesis. What sort of Inator involved using half of the Tri-State Area’s available Almond Brittle?
“You are wondering why I bought up so much of the Almond Brittle in Danville, aren’t you?” Doof asked rhetorically. “It doesn’t even have anything to do with today’s scheme! Some of the other members of LOVEMUFFIN have disrupted some of the supplies. It’s a typical hoarding response to a potential shortage.”
“That’s a terrible excuse, Dad!” Vanessa Doofenshmirtz said as she entered the lab.
“You think it’s terrible? See what I have to deal with, Perry the Platypus?”
Perry sighed. At least Heinz’s parenting skills were vastly better than that of his own parents. He had to thank those Ocelots if he ever got to meet them.
“I know there are reports of Almond shipments being stolen, but really! You didn’t need to hoard! I would call that show If they would come to Danville.”
“In any case, I will reveal my new Inator to Perry the Platypus now.”
“Go ahead!” Vanessa said with an exasperated sigh.
Heinz took the tarp off the inator. “Behold! The Troubleinator! It will stir up some Danville citizens against my brother’s mayorship. Hence, it will cause trouble for Roger.”
Baljeet Tjinder entered the Flynn Fletcher’s backyard. “A fairground?” he asked.
“It’s almost done,” Phineas said. “Ferb has to put some finishing touches to it.”
“So, a few minutes?” Baljeet asked.
“Yes.”
“I can wait.”
Heinz finished that portion of his backstory. “And now! I will activate the Inator, and cause trouble for Roger!” He flipped a switch and the machine powered up. “It’s working! It’s working! It’s functioning properly!”
The Fairground was ready. A large group of children from all over Danville had converged on the Flynn-Fletcher’s backyard. “Welcome to an exciting day of fun at our fairground,” Phineas said.
Most of the children cheered as Isabella cut a ribbon. The crowd then surged through.

I know nothing about legal stuff if I screw something up here I’m sorry
So you know how the Kangaroo Commando debut episode included the largely unresolved side plot about that horrible kiddie cartoon about Ben’s aliens that he was rightfully pissed was made without his permission or input but couldn’t do anything about because he was a kid with a secret identity and superheroes were a relatively new thing without much legal precedent or protections? Yeah that doesn’t happen to Candace because due to the inclusion of Marvel and Kim Possible there are Actual Laws involved in how superheroes’ images can be used, and also thanks to Phineas and Ferb.
Phineas and Ferb pretty obviously already have legal representation and protection, since they’re celebrities in several dozen different ways and have made a lot of different products that are likely still being produced and sold that they get royalties for, like the Perry the Inaction Figures and Gitchie Gitchi Goo, so they just expanded that to the Superhero Stuff since they already gave The Beak’s secret identity in the titular episode and aren’t exactly hiding their involvement with Team Omnitrix.
The fact that Hulkjeet is part of the team means that the P&F PR team collaborates a lot with Hulk’s PR team, since they handle most gamma mutant heroes(and a few of the less truly evil villainous gamma mutants). This means there’s also overlap with the Avengers PR team since Hulk’s a founding member and Hulkjeet and the Beak have both helped them before. This is very helpful because Phineas and Ferb’s team is significantly more used to mad scientist shenanigans than superhero ones.
Of course there are some complications that come with that, such as the fact that they’re all minors(easily handled since Linda’s the only parent who didn’t know everything that was going on and even that was cleared up post-Vilgax), and the fact that there was still merchandise of Shock Absorber(particularly her hybrid forms) after her full transformation and disappearance and none of them are sure what to do with that both because Trauma and because Isabella’s not exactly there to give her opinion on the issue.
