Fuzzy Socks and Burnt Breakfast

〘Prompt 12- Alt. Prompt: Fuzzy Socks〙

〘Notes- Yet again I'm way off track. I'm probably going to double back and do 11 at some point but for now we will continue as if I'm totally on time and everything is fine. Oh, and like most of these this is mostly unedited as I don't have a whole lot of time, so please be nice :,D〙

〘Summary- Lena get's more comfortable admitting she's sick and Kara is famously bad at cooking.〙

The first sign that Lena was sick was the change in her sock choice. Typically, the CEO wore sensible socks with little or no pattern. If there was a pattern, it was simple, such as stripes or polka dots. The colors were muted- blacks, greys, navy blues. Nothing fancy, simply there for function.

Whenever she got sick, those boring mundane socks turned more fun. It started with prettier colors, a pastel rainbow. Then, when she really didn’t feel well, they were fuzzy. Not the short ankle socks either, they went up to mid-calf and were accompanied by sweatpants and Kara’s NCU sweatshirt.

Since the two women started dating, Kara had been working hard to chip away at Lena’s walls, helping her to open up and allow herself to be human. The first time she had gotten sick while they were together, she hadn’t said a thing.

She’d gone about her day the same way she always did, consuming only coffee for breakfast and a granola bar for lunch. That night, she had practically passed out in Kara’s arms and had ended up in the ER with pneumonia.

The blonde had been so scared that she had started to cry, waking Lena up with her barely restrained sobs. Seeing the woman she loved so much in such emotional distress had changed something in Lena. She had decided that she would do everything she possibly could to never make her girlfriend cry again.

Thus began her long journey to fight against what had been instilled in her, accepting that illness did not equal weakness. It was difficult, in the beginning she found herself lying about the way she felt, struggling to admit to feeling unwell.

As the months went by, it became easier. Strangely enough, it was made even less awkward when Kara herself got sick. Seeing a literal superhero curled up in bed with soup and a red nose made her feel a bit better about getting a regular human cold.

So, when the CEO woke up with an uncomfortable pressure in her sinuses and a sore throat, she felt more comfortable pulling on Kara’s oversized sweatshirt and her yellow striped fuzzy socks. The woman knew that the second her fever set in she would be freezing, so the socks were a must.

“Morning Lena!!” Kara chirped, bouncing around the kitchen. She was cooking something that appeared to be pancakes, and it looked like this wasn’t her first attempt. There was flour all over the counter (and the hero) and there were badly burned somehow raw piles of batter in the trashcan.

“Morning my love. What happened in here?” Lena croaked, coughing into her elbow to clear her throat. “Sorry.” She mumbled, sounding exactly the same. Oh well, that was her voice now.

The blonde furrowed her eyebrows, that notorious crinkle appearing on her forehead. She abandoned the pancakes on the skillet and walked over to the other woman, taking her face in her calloused hands.

“Oh Le, you’re warm. Did you feel sick yesterday?” While she was secretly pleased with the affection, Lena was currently more worried about the pancakes.

“Kara, pancakes. They’re burning.” she said, moving hastily to the stove. She turned off the burner, heaving a sigh of relief as when she lifted the half-cooked breakfast food to find it a pleasant golden brown. By some miracle this batch remained unburned.

“I don’t care about the pancakes; I care about you. Do you want to get back into bed? I can make soup, or get you ice cream or potstickers or—” Lena found herself smiling, and even let out a soft chuckle at the concern of her girlfriend.

Without hesitation the young genius pressed herself up against Kara, laying her head on the blonde’s chest, right above her collar bone. She sunk into the warmth of the woman she loved and wrapped her arms around Kara’s waist, settling comfortably against her.

“It’s just a cold my dear, a light flu at worst. You don’t need to worry, okay? I don’t want anything to eat, could we just cuddle on the couch?” Her words were punctuated by a stifled sneeze, but she didn’t bother to move. She knew that Kara couldn’t get sick and knew that she didn’t care anyway.

The alien let out a huge sigh of relief and pressed her nose into Lena’s hair, perfectly happy to do whatever the raven-haired woman wanted. She loved her with everything she had and would do whatever was needed of her. Hell, she’d fly across the world for Lena. She’d fly to the damn moon if it meant making her girlfriend happy.

“Of course, we can. I’ll um, clean this up later.” Kara mumbled sheepishly, pulling away just enough so that she could see Lena’s face. The CEO let out a chuckle -which quickly turned into a cough- and shook her head.

Her love for the sweet reporter was undying but she couldn’t possibly bring herself not to laugh at the attempts to cook. The teasing was all in good fun and often times Kara would join in. She could lift buildings and fly to outer space but couldn’t cook to save her life.

That didn’t matter, after all, Noonan’s had amazing potstickers.

Summary: What if superheroes had to pay a property damage tax every time they had a fight in the city?

Kara was a little paranoid about where they were going which is why they decided against normal travel options. They didn’t know what they were getting into or if they would have to eventually forgo their vehicles to get to where they needed to go. Kara flew Lena and the device to the location while Barry carried Felicity while using his super speed. All four got to the location at the same time and were startled by what they saw. It was a dilapidated 10-story apartment building. The majority of the windows were either busted out or boarded up, weeds and ivy growing everywhere, paint was chipping everywhere and was discolored, and the stairs leading up alongside the building was hanging off the hinges.

Kara frowned while shaking her head, “This can’t be right.”

Felicity shrugged her shoulders and said, “Maybe it looks this way to steer people away.”

“Maybe,” mused Kara. She used her X-ray vision to see what was inside. What she saw left her even more complex. “That’s strange,” muttered Kara.

Lena frowned and asked, “What is it?”

Kara shook her head and said, “I used my X-ray vision to see what was inside, and there is nothing. The entire apartment has been gutted out. There are only the four walls, a roof, and the front and back door. That’s it.”

Barry looked quizzically at Kara and said, “Wait. You mean there isn’t any rooms or floor levels at all?”

Kara shook her head and said, “No. It is just an empty shell.”

Barry said, “I can do a quick run inside to make sure there is really nothing in there.”

Kara nodded. Barry looked forward and speed through the building. He was gone several seconds before returning. He shook his head and was perplex.

He turned to the others and said, “Kara’s right. There is nothing inside.”

Felicity turned to Kara and asked, “Is there anything about this building that that seemed significant to you? Maybe something that you parents thought that only you would notice?”

Kara shook her head and said, “There is nothing ringing a bell about this place.”

“I think I may have something,” mused Lena.

The others turned around to see her rapidly scrolling on her phone.

“Did you find something?” asked Kara hopefully.

Lena looked up hesitantly and said, “I think so. I did a quick search on who the owners of the building are: Roz Le and Laura Zine.”

Kara chuckled softly.

Lena looked up at her quizzically and asked, “What?”

Kara shook her head while chuckling softly.

“If you rearrange the letters of those names, it would be Zor El and Alura In Ze. My parents’ names. My dad was very fond of anagrams.”

Felicity raised an eyebrow and asked, “So your parents have been to Earth before?”

Kara looked back at the apartment confused and said, “They must have. I am not sure why they wouldn’t have told me this before.”

Barry said, “Maybe they didn’t want to. I get the feeling that this was sort of a last resort option for them.”

Kara nodded while looking back down at the device. The green crystal was still glowing with the coordinates on it. She looked back up at the building with a look of determination.

“I am going to go inside with the device to see if it does anything while in there.”

Kara took a couple of steps forward until the entire device started glowing soft yellow. The device then forced itself out of her hands and zoomed towards the front door of the apartment. She thought that the device would break through the door, but was surprised that it phased through.

Felicity chuckled nervously and said, “Well, I didn’t see that coming.”

“Neither did I,” murmured Lena.

Barry rubbed the back of his neck and said, “Well, at least we definitely know that we are in the right place.”

Kara looked at the others hesitantly and said, “I know that things just got a little weird just now. I would understand if you wanted to wait here while I check it out.”

Lena rushed towards her, grabbed her hand and shouted, “No!”

Kara looked at her startled which caused Lena to look down blushing.

“I didn’t mean to scream like that. I just wanted to say that this was a team effort and we wouldn’t abandon you in your hour of need.”

Barry nodded and said, “Lena’s right. We are with you until the end.”

Felicity fist pump her hand in the air and said, “Here, Here.”

Kara smiled and said, “Thanks, guys!”

She looked back at the apartment with more confidence and said, “Here’s to the unknown.”

They walked up to the apartment and walked through the door. All around them was darkness.

Lena frowned and asked, “Barry, how were you able to run around and see anything in here earlier?”

“This is strange,” said Barry.

“Please don’t say that,” muttered Felicity.

“Well, it is. When I was in here, it wasn’t pitch black. Kara, can you see anything?” asked Barry.

“No, not even with my X-ray vision,” said Kara nervously.

Suddenly a bright white light appeared which blinded them. As it gradually went down, the four began blinking rapidly to adjust their eyesight. Once they were able to see again, they were all shocked by what they saw. It looked like they were in a lobby for a fancy apartment building. On one side was a fancy staircase that led upstairs. On the other side was two elevators. In the center of the room seemed to be a service desk with what looks like a woman behind it. Kara felt tears streaming down her face.

“Mom!” she screamed as she ran forward.

She wrapped her arms around the woman and squeezed really tight.

“You don’t know how much I missed you,” sobbed Kara.

The woman patted her on the head and said, “I am sorry to disappoint you Kara, but I am not your mother.”

Kara gradually took a step back and looked at the woman hesitantly. She looked exactly like her mother down to the clothing she would wear.

Kara looked at her hesitantly and said, “I don’t understand.”

Her imprisonment was far from a harsh one. White walls, with a regular medical check in on the figure cowered on the ground. Still silent, still unspeaking, with her head covered and eyes wild with the secrets of the universe. The months spanning Talon's recovery of the stray pilot passed, Lena's hatred for the organization that landed her in such a position only fanned by the flames of Talon's opposition to them. It was then, one early morning, that Spectre walked free, eyes narrowed against the glare of the halls. Words still came slowly, lacking the language to describe her experiences and emotions - concrete was easier than abstract, it was easier to exist in the here and the now.

The tall figure evident at the end of the hallway brought about a strange tug of deju vu - where she know that biography from? Regardless. That belonged to another time. Lena's faced contorted into a smile, muscle weakness and mania making difficult to reflect something genuine for him. "s'loud in here." Came the dysfunctional greeting. Humming of bright lines, and the clackity of feet against the tile floor made it difficult for her to focus. "Somewhere quieter to go?"

It’s rare for TALON to fill him in on anything that didn’t explicitly involve him-- and yet, when Moira broaches the topic of a new addition to the special operatives roster, dismissing him with the notion that this new recruit was highly similar to his own situation... he is ecstatic. There’s still a month or so before he even has the luxury of meeting this new, mysterious person, but every waking moment of it is spent in pure elation as he daydreams about what, precisely, he intended to ask.

Finally.

There would finally be someone in his likeness.

Despite TALON’S initial claims that the majority of the roster hosted an ensemble of strange medical anomalies mirroring his own abnormalities-- thus far, he had been quite disappointed upon discovering that only Reaper and Moira came even remotely close to anything he had experienced; and even then, their afflictions were very... small.

At least, compared to the scale of his cosmic awareness, they were.

The morning that Spectre is finally permitted to properly roam the halls is relatively mundane in SIGMA’S case, meandering from his own quarters from further below the facility in favor of seeing if anyone had left any coffee or treats unattended within the Enforcer’s lounge. He’d already had his breakfast, a decent offering of bland oatmeal and fresh fruits, alongside a lukewarm glass of milk-- but it did not particularly satisfy. Initially, he isn’t paying attention, thoughts preoccupied-- however, when the Spectre addresses him upon locking eyes with his cursory glance, he jumps a little. “-- Well, it is a little less busy in the lower le--“ wait.

.... Is this the new recruit he’s been dying to meet...?

“-- Hm! I do not believe we have become acquainted! Would you happen to be our newest addition?“ She was... so small! Granted, his own size was at the polar opposite of the scale, being a couple times larger than the vast majority of most of the other agents in size alone.

“-- I am SUBJECT: SIGMA!“ He announces with a beaming smile, bouncing a little upon his axis in his delight. “-- O-oh! Right! The noise! My apologies!“ Always getting ahead of himself, it seemed...!

“... Actually-- I, ah... well, it’s much quieter down on my floor, if you’d prefer quiet...“

“I-- hehe... I have heard a little about you! I was very excited to get to meet you!“ SIGMA prattles sheepishly, a shy, tittering laugh bubbling up from him. “... I was going to see if they left any coffee out-- would you like to accompany me...?”

Weekly BillCharts Top 50 - 2023 Week 15

This season has been unreasonably good to Ethel Cain, who now boasts an impressive 5 songs in the top 10. This comes only weeks after she locked down the Top 3, and after spending a total of 10 weeks at #1 since last October. Plus, Lanterns on the Lake break through with a #1 smash, and Tim Janis hits his highest peak on the charts since 2020.

Lanterns on the Lake hits #1 with their newest single, "String Theory". The group first made their appearance on the charts late last year with "Through The Cellar Door", whose run was fueled by its appearance in Life is Strange: Before The Storm. The song charted for 7 weeks, but wasn't able to peak higher than #23 in that whole time. Interestingly, the song itself uses the topic of alternate universes as a way to comfort oneself over a failing relationship, which could be seen as a Life is Strange-adjacent topic.

Ethel Cain and Wicca Phase Springs Eternal hold the #2 spot for a 2nd week with god's country (demo). Despite failing once more to get the #1 with this newest hit, Ethel Cain herself is doing very well for herself, as she has locked down half of the top 10's positions:

This is a very notable achievement, as Ethel Cain is the first artist to lock up half of the top 10 without an explicit album bomb of sorts.

Only Lena Raine's 2 bouts in late 2018 were not explicitly fueled by an album or concert bomb, though all 5 of her songs did come from the Celeste soundtrack. Ethel's songs, meanwhile, are split across 2 projects and an unreleased demo. Here's a quick rundown of how each other artist has landed this record:

Harry Mack: Slime Rancher 1 OST (5 songs, 2019); Slime Rancher 2 OST (10 songs, 2022)

Christine and the Queens: Chris era concert bomb (8 songs, 2018); Redcar les adorables étoiles album bomb (6 songs, 2022)

*Heathers' soundtrack was able to lock down 9 of 10 songs in the Top 10 that week; Barrett Wilbert Weed simply appeared as an artist on 5 of those.

"Joys of Spring" from Pom Poko's soundtrack holds steadfast at #3, holding the highest peak for any Ghibli soundtrack song thus far. Tim Janis' Amazing Grace cover from his newest album, Songs of Spring (interesting theme running through these songs!) debuts at #4. This is Tim Janis' highest peak since 2020, when Ever I Love You landed at #1. Rounding out the Top 5 is last week's #1, Margaret by Lana Del Rey featuring Bleachers, falling 1-5.

Rapid fire through Ethel Cain's songs: American Teenager returns at #6 after nearly a year since its original run, Sun Bleached Flies dips 5-7 in its record breaking 25th week in the Top 10 in a row; Thoroughfare moves up 9-8, and Crush makes a big leap 42-9, after the song had all but been written off as a flop.

And finally, rounding out the Top 10 is Niontay and MIKE's "WHEREDEYAT???", holding the top 10 for a second week as it falls 4-10.

Outside the Top 10, Linkin Park's Fighting Myself hits a new peak as it rises 36-15, as does Demi Lovato's Heart Attack (Rock Version) which moves 18-16. The Lumineers' Stubborn Love debuts #21, continuing the push to chart faves from 10 years ago as part of the upcoming 10-Year Anniversary of the BillCharts.

The Justice Ducks (Darkwing Duck Reboot) REMAKE!!!

This reboot will continue where the last episode left off with Darkwing Duck trying to help Gosalyn find her grandfather, facing new challenges from Negaduck and rise of new super villains.

Could potentially feature a new incarnation of the Justice Ducks. Gizmoduck is obvious, but other characters like Storkules, Lena, and B.O.Y.D. could also join up. That is, assuming if Morgana, Stegmutt, and Neptunia don't exist in this universe.

Does Lena have PTSD?

This excellent post from @drummergirl231-2 goes into a detailed analysis about Della and the examples showing possible PTSD. I, being who I am, wanted to look at the same for Lena. Full credit goes to them for the idea and format!

According to the DSM-5, in order for a person to be diagnosed with PTSD, they must have a certain number of symptoms from eight categories: Criteria A through H.

For a diagnosis of PTSD, someone needs: to meet Criterion A to have at least 1 symptom from Criterion B to have at least 1 symptom from Criterion C to have at least 2 symptoms from Criterion D to have at least 2 Symptoms from Criterion E to meet Criteria F, G, and H

DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional. I do NOT have a degree in anything related to psychology and simply enjoy dissecting the layers of a fictional character. If you feel you fit any of the criteria, please see a professional for a real diagnosis. This isn’t something that can be easily self-diagnosed, and a professional diagnosis would open you to more opportunities for help.

Lena does and doesn’t fit the criteria in general for PTSD. She’s certainly suffered from traumatic events, but the event is more... her entire life. She’s a classic child abuse victim, which makes her more of a candidate for C-PTSD.

Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD; also known as complex trauma disorder) is a psychological disorder that can develop in response to prolonged, repeated experience of interpersonal trauma in a context in which the individual has little or no chance of escape. Being stuck with Magica for fifteen years absolutely contributes to Lena’s current issues. C-PTSD and PTSD share similarities, there are a distinct differences - mainly that PTSD focuses on one event and the effect it has on a person long term, while C-PTSD focuses on years of repeated trauma. However, there’s no approved criterion yet for C-PTSD. So I’m using the PTSD criterion with some added explanation where C-PTSD would be applicable.

Criterion A: The traumatic event

A person must be exposed to one or more events involving threatened or actual death, threatened or actual serious injury, or threatened or actual sexual violation in one of the following ways:

Direct involvement

Witnessing the event happen to someone else

Hearing about it happen to a loved one

Repeatedly hearing details about traumatic events, such as police officers repeatedly hearing stories of abuse

The obvious example here: Lena effectively died. Twice. Following that, she was trapped in a realm where she couldn’t be seen or heard by anyone and she couldn’t touch anything for six months (give or take). Her first interaction with anything since she had been trapped there was smacking the Boggle case in Friendship Hates Magic! And even she’s surprised by that.

In addition, she spent fifteen years with Magica in her shadow, who effectively acted as an abusive parental figure. She’s proven to be an expert in gaslighting, and knows exactly how to manipulate Lena - by hanging the promise of freedom over her head and reminding her repeatedly that people will think she’s a monster if they find out the truth about her.

Criterion B: Intrusive Symptoms

Expected or unexpected reoccurring, involuntary, and intrusive upsetting memories

Repeated nightmares related to the traumatic event

Some form of dissociation, such as flashbacks, where the individual truly feels the traumatic event is happening again

Strong emotional distress when exposed to internal or external triggers associated with the traumatic event

Strong bodily reactions (such as rapid heart rate) when exposed to reminders of the traumatic event.

Nightmares: While we can’t say for absolute sure that Lena has nightmares outside of Magica’s influence via the helmet in NOKH, the fact that no one is surprised by her nightmares does seem to imply that’s she probably had more than she’s letting on. Lena’s biggest fear is turning into Magica, after all - it’s no surprise she would have dreams along that line.

Emotional distress, strong bodily reactions: These really come out in Violet’s library, when Lena gets overwhelmed and tries to hide. The fish-eye view of everyone trying to talk to her while she sees Magica over their shoulders was most likely meant to imply she was having at least the start of a panic attack.

In addition, her reaction to Webby calling her (looking like Magica) a monster was pretty extreme. Again, the dream world setting makes things a bit wobbly, but given everything we know about Lena up to this point, and the fact that she yelled at Magica for saying they’re both monsters, it feels safe to assume she’d be angry and upset and scared if anyone ever called her a monster (again, something Magica constantly used against her.)

Criterion C: Avoidance

An individual with PTSD will frequently avoid reminders of the traumatic event in one of the following ways:

Avoiding thoughts, feelings, or physical sensations that trigger memories of the traumatic event

Avoiding people, places, conversations, activities, objects, or situations that bring up memories of the traumatic event

Whether the nightmares were caused by Magica or not, their effect on Lena is real and pretty easy to see. She sets up an entire sleepover just so the kids can help keep her awake. Avoiding sleep to avoid nightmares is pretty extreme.

She also continues to keep secrets from everyone despite Webby’s constant reassurances that they all care about her and don’t think she’s anything like Magica, because the alternative is having to talk about it or worse, have her fears confirmed.

Criterion D: Negative changes in thoughts and mood

The inability to remember important details of the traumatic event

Persistent and elevated negative thoughts about oneself, others, or the world

Exaggerated self-blame or blame of others for the cause or consequence of the traumatic event

Pervasive negative emotional state (anger, fear, shame, etc.)

Loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities

Feeling isolated or detached from others

Difficulty experiencing positive emotions

Lena’s opinion of herself seems to be pretty low. We only get one episode to really see it, but her fear of turning into Magica and active attempts to avoid such an outcome definitely make it seem like she still considers herself “evil”, and is trying to make up for it. She also readily gives in and says, “I am her”, essentially giving up on herself.

The dream adventures also excellently illustrate how Lena feels “Othered” from everyone else - they get butterfly wings, she gets weird monster wings. She falls behind at Dewey High and is separated from the others. She’s the only one in Louie’s dream, aside from Louie himself, to experience any sort of physical change. Even when she tries to be happy with them, she can’t keep up the facade.

And before all of this there’s the classic example of her being jealous of Violet (under the guise of protecting Webby from being tricked again). She immediately assumes the worst of Violet and follows Webby around telling her not to trust Violet.

Criterion E: Alterations in reactivity that started or worsened after the traumatic event

Irritability or aggressive behavior

Impulsive or self-destructive behavior

Hypervigilance (feeling constantly on-guard, or like danger is lurking around every corner)

Heightened startle response

Problems with concentration

Sleep disturbances, such as difficulty falling or staying asleep, or restless sleep

Lena’s personality in season one was mostly that of the sarcastic, irritating cool teenager who can’t be bothered. Under that, she was an unwilling slave to Magica, and while she did show irritable tendencies toward her, those can be forgiven as “Magica is terrible and provokes her.”

Season two, on the other hand, shows us a much different teenager - one who snaps easily and seems constantly frustrated by her own perceived shortcomings. Those emotions, of course, come out on the other kids (i.e. snapping at Huey and Violet). And while all of that can be attributed to her inability to sleep, which is being driven by Magica, Frank’s already said this isn’t the last we’ll see of Lena’s emotoinal growth and negative feelings.

Criterion F: The above symptoms must last for more than one month.

Obviously time is relative in Ducktales. Given everything that was going on around them, we can assume she’s been home for around a month-ish. Donald left for a month-long cruise two episodes before Lena came back, and everything after that has to have taken place within that month or it would have been way too obvious something was up. And again, Frank has said this is going to come up again. But even while she was still in the Shadow Realm, she was showing signs of trauma.

Criterion G: Distress from symptoms significantly impairs the individual’s ability to function in multiple areas of life (social, occupational, etc.).

While we haven’t seen much of Lena’s daily life, we do know a few things - before returning, she was living in Webby’s shadow, presumably following her around and getting comfortable in her shadow-y life. Violet throws a complete monkey wrench into that comfortable life, and Lena reacts... poorly, to say the least. She initially refuses to take responsibility for the tulpas feeding off her own negative feelings, continuing to project all the reasons she hates herself onto Violet (”She’s a spy, she’s a second-rate me,” etc.).

In NoKH we see that the triplets aren’t quite used to the fun, happy persona Lena tries to project, which immediately gets a frustrated yell and fire flaring up. She’s so worried about trying to be Good that her anxiety bubbles over into her life. She’s also constantly keeping secrets, something that is, unfortunately, normal for her, but not normal overall.

Criterion H: The symptoms are not due to substance abuse, medication side-effects, or another condition.

So the real issue comes in here - while there’s no medication or substance abuse, there is an outside force. Most of what we see of Lena’s symptoms are due to increasing sleep deprivation via Magica’s brainwave helmet. By the time NoKH starts she’s already gone at least several days without sleep, and it’s obvious the dreams are deeply affecting to her, to a point where she arranges an entire sleepover with her friends just to keep from going to sleep. There’s no way to know what she was dreaming about (although I have a few theories), but it almost certainly involved Magica, the main cause of her trauma. And we see how understandably upset she gets when she’s finally face to face with Magica.

In conclusion:

Lena is a complicated character with a lot of different factors playing into who she is, but there’s little doubt that after fifteen years of emotional/psychological abuse, two deaths, and six months trapped in what could almost be summarized as an isolation chamber, that Lena has some serious trauma. And while Magica influenced a lot of NOKH, it should also be noted that Magica, as her abuser, most likely acts as her trigger now. She spends the entire dream sequence running away from Magica, terrified to confront her. And while she has an amazing, empowering moment at the end of the episode, I’m sure this is going to come back up again.
