I hope everyone is doing well this week! As many of you know, I live in Long Island NY, and we were hit pretty hard from tropical storm Isaias. We had some property damage and have been out of power since. I am thankful we are all OK, but I am asking for patience this week as my internet accessibility is pretty much non existent at this time. Crossing fingers that the electricity is back on soon, I know there are so many without!
Why Should Everyone Meal Plan?
Meal planning is a great way to organize your meals for the week ahead. You also save time and money in the supermarket! And of course, planning ahead helps you stick to your goals!
About The Meal Plan
If you’re new to my meal plans, I’ve been sharing these free, 7-day flexible healthy meal plans (you can see my previous meal plans here) that are meant as a guide, with plenty of wiggle room for you to add more food, coffee, beverages, fruits, snacks, dessert, wine, etc or swap recipes out for meals you prefer, you can search for recipes by course in the index. You should aim for around 1500 calories* per day.
There’s also a precise, organized grocery list that will make grocery shopping so much easier and much less stressful. Save you money and time. You’ll dine out less often, waste less food and you’ll have everything you need on hand to help keep you on track.

THE DETAILS:
Breakfast and lunch Monday-Friday, are designed to serve 1 while dinners and all meals on Saturday and Sunday are designed to serve a family of 4. Some recipes make enough leftovers for two nights or lunch the next day. While we truly believe there is no one size fits all meal plan, we did our best to come up with something that appeals to a wide range of individuals. Everything is Weight Watchers friendly, I included the updated WW Blue SP for your convenience, feel free to swap out any recipes you wish or just use this for inspiration!
The grocery list is comprehensive and includes everything you need to make all meals on the plan. I’ve even included brand recommendations of products I love and use often. Cross check your cabinets because many condiments you’ll notice I use often, so you may already have a lot of them.
And last, but certainly not least, this meal plan is flexible and realistic. There’s plenty of wiggle room for cocktails, healthy snacks, dessert and dinner out. And if necessary, you can move some things around to make it work with your schedule. Please let me know if you’re using these plans, this will help me decide if I should continue sharing them!

Kasbah Boracay Review
One of the fantastic things about Boracay Island is the assortment of food. So while tourists revel on powdery white beach and crystal clear sea, they also set their itinerary up for the finest gastronomy hubs on the island.

A restaurant that has the advantage of being on the prime spot of White Beach with a reputable cuisine is Kasbah Moroccan Restaurant.

For a decade now, Kasbah has been the destination for the exotic culinary experience that Moroccan cuisine is known for.
Thus, true to the authentic preparations of Moroccan food, Kasbah has been leaving a tasteful mark on diners who have stopped to dine and chill at their loungy seaside area.
A sunny meal of Watermelon and Feta Salad, Fish Fingers with Fries and Hummus
With starters like roasted peppers and tomato dip in a dish called Mechouia, tahini or sesame paste based dips with herbs and spices in the eggplant Baba Ghanouj, and chickpea-mixed Hummus, spring rolls filled with zucchini, pistachio and eggplant in Moroccan Cigars, Casablanca Tomatoes with stuffing of couscous, preserved lemons and ras el hanout spices, Baked Aubergines with couscous and toasted bread crumbs, and the famous Falafel dumpling that is filled with chickpeas and aromatic with a side dish of hummus-harissa-yogurt dip, pita and a salad tossed in yogurt mint dressing, diners are enticed to savor more of Kasbah’s rich flavors.
Cold Mezze variety
During cool temperatures and the windy Southwest Monsoon season, Kasbah’s hot dishes like soups and their signature stews called Tajine come well-deserving, like the spiced chickpea and lentil Harira soup, the roasted vegetables in Chorba soup, creamy Seafood Tagine with harissa, fennel and zucchini, the vegetable-lover’s Seven Vegetable Couscous Tagine, lamb with carrots, prunes, toasted almonds and hard boiled egg in Berber Lamb Tagine, and Chicken with Preserved Lemons and Green Olives Tagine.

While being in a humid tropical island, the salads at Kasbah give a hearty and light feeling that diners would need in order to stay refreshed and active during the day. They come in Chickpea and Couscous with carrots and red bell peppers, Roasted Pumpkin with Arugula salad with bell pepper, walnuts and goat’s cheese, and Watermelon and Feta with arugula, almonds and olives.
Vegie juices
Most of the dishes are good for sharing; yet with the strong spices that usually come in Moroccan cuisine, kids may want other flavours. Thus, the little ones have the option of Fish Fingers or Chicken Nuggets with fries, Spaghetti Meatballs and Cheeseburger.
Baklava
For eating-on-the-go or picnics on the beach, Kasbah’s wraps or Gyros are perfect. They have vegetarian Merguez with hummus, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and yoghurt-chermoula-harissa, and variants with chicken or lamb.
Lemongrass Creme Brulee
With such fascinating gastronomy, one would not want to miss out on their desserts, such as Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with almonds, Lemongrass Crème Brule and Baklava.
Kasbah’s must-try beverages, on the other hand, comprise of a pineapple-based Kombucha, raw vegie juices and their Moroccan Tea.

On certain occasions, guests would stumble upon DJ events while absorbed in the crimson skyline of the sunset and live musical performances over dinner, which would definitely make up for a romantic candlelight dinner for two.

Kasbah’s delicious gimmicks are not however limited to the restaurant. They also have two beachfront accommodations above the restaurant, filling up the two storeys above the restaurant with heavenly spacious rooms.

Each room is wonderfully furnished with a cushy four-poster bed and big sofa bed, a bathroom with hot and cold shower and other amenities to fulfill utmost comfort.
