This seems like fun! So here's my Oc, I made a post with some info about her here!

I was really hoping someone would submit a villain oc!

If we're talking villains, there's no one else to bring up besides (aspiring) villain siblings Nightshade & Peppermint. These two are big fans of pretty much every known psychic villain. Nightshade & Peppermint are little more than annoyances to the Psychonauts, constantly sneaking onto or breaking into the Psychonauts' property to harass anyone they can. That's also how they keep up-to-date on the world's top psychic villains. They've also made their own fake Psychonauts ID cards, which name them as security threats.

Now, with Lady Lavender specializing in confusion like Nightshade, if they were to meet Nightshade would insist on holding a competition to determine which of them is more proficient. A competition at which Nightshade would most likely try to cheat.

Nightshade would be rather disappointed to learn that Lady Lavender is "actually pretty sweet," but Peppermint wouldn't mind, being nicer than their older sibling.

5 TYPES OF DANIEL BRÜHL CHARACTERS

After watching 40+ of his works, I've noticed the roles that he plays often fall into these five categories...

#1 - because he's German, obviously, a Nazi. The bottom two are a little niche as he plays 'unwanted Nazi admirer'.

#2 - guy you can take home to meet your parents. He's played way too many of these—it's a given with that beautiful baby face—but these would be my top five. Bottom layer gets extra points for being a good friend to the elderly.

#3 - opposite that is the guy your parents warned you about. It seems Daniel has a lot of fun playing these, especially the top layer, which leans on the love-to-hate category. I can't tell if it's just my distaste for The Face of an Angel, but I also considered adding Thomas Lang. Could be why Chris in Cargo made it here as well... because what even was that movie.

#4 - now we have 'man in way above his head by the situation his political ideologies have gotten him into'. You almost always need a trigger warning for the films these characters are in as they will absolutely gut you. They're often based on real people and events. So you will learn something about history while Daniel gets tortured into a pulp.

#5 - and finally, 'expert in his field, kind of an asshole, but hella breedable'. Most of my favorite characters are in this category... I don't know what that says about me.

Is it cheating to place Zemo a second time? I don't care. He feels like an entirely different character.

How the Lost Boys are with hugs 🤗💕

Whether it's giving hugs or getting them, the boys each have their own unique reactions to the act of hugging.

David 🖤

He enjoys enticing others into coming to him. Loyalty and companionship mean the world to him, and he loves showing others just what he can offer them. Usually, his go-to secret weapon is the power of touch. After all, he couldn't stop putting his arm around Michael.

Despite his intimidating appearance, David can be quite affectionate. If you ask for a hug, he's more than happy to provide it. He can't fight the smirk on his face as he holds his arms out wide, commanding for you to come to him. He'll gently wrap his arms around your body, patting your back with one hand and running his fingers through your hair with the other. He'll whisper promises to keep you safe and let you know he'll take the best care of you. It's all a part of his game of wrapping you in his web.

Here's the thing. Although David is smug and cunning when you need a hug from him, he's quite the opposite when you're the one who says he needs a hug. If you go up to him and give him a hug without warning, he'll be shocked. Maybe even a little offended that you dared to touch without permission. But if you say something sweet like "I don't think you're a monster, David" or "it's okay. I want to help you feel better" then he's gonna turn into a big softie.

He's very lonely deep down. He'd be nothing without his boys, and he's always wanting to grow the family, just like Max was. Like father, like son. The problem is that with people like Star and Michael, he has to get them with deception and control. He's afraid they'll leave him otherwise, though he would never admit it. If you were to willingly give your love, especially with a hug, he's going to absolutely melt.

One bonus thing is that his coat is quite soft and warm. If you go in for a hug, then you're getting an extra blanket too.

Marko 💚

The best way to describe Marko's relationship with hugs is how a spicy, feral kitten acts when it first meets a human. If he doesn't know you well, he is throwing hands if you try to hug him. He'll punch, scratch, yell, maybe even hiss if you try to touch him.

It takes him a while to trust people. Like....a LONG while. He's David's second in command, and insanely clingy towards him, Dwayne and Paul. If he feels like someone is trying to intrude on their gang and try to get too buddy-buddy, he's not having it. He won't even speak to you, let alone accept a hug.

Now on the other hand, if he IS friends with you, then he goes from feral cat to purring kitty. He loves to nuzzle your neck when getting a hug. Giggles if you do the same with him. Marko also likes to massage you while giving a hug. Rubbing your back, kneading your hips, just adding a little extra special attention to make it special.

So long as you're patient with him, it's so worth it in the end to get a hug from the guy. Just be understanding if he doesn't do it too often. It takes a lot out of him, so he'll usually opt for a side hug instead.

Dwayne ❤️

Kind of similar to Marko. If Dwayne doesn't know you well, you are NOT allowed to touch him. He'll stare you down with daggers in his eyes as a way to warn you to stay away from him. Same goes for his boys. If you don't know the gang and you try to hug one of them, he's going to step in as their personal bodyguard to make sure you don't get near them.

That's not to say it's impossible to get him to put his walls down. Quite the opposite, really. Dwayne's an excellent judge of character, and can figure out quite easily whether you're friend or foe. If he ends up seeing that you're not a threat and that you just want affection, then he's switching off his guard dog mode.

He's incredibly welcoming with hugs. Dwayne will hold you close, making sure to be gentle with you. He'll be more than happy to lift you up into his arms and let you wrap your legs around him. Go full koala mode on this boy, and he will not mind in the slightest. He actually thinks clinginess is incredibly cute.

Dwayne is also big on cuddling if he's in a bad mood and needs some T.L.C. to feel better. If you offer a hug, he's going full lap dog on you. Laying on your chest, your lap, whatever you offer. He'll wrap his strong arms around you and keep you in place so he can feel the warmth of your hugs. Also, if you play with his hair, he'll immediately fall in love with you.

Paul 💙

Paul is the biggest love muffin of the group. He's also the most handsy. He doesn't need any formal introductions for welcoming a hug. In fact, he's probably going to greet you the first time WITH a hug rather than a traditional handshake. If he thinks you're cute, he's going in with open arms and a big, goofy grin.

He love to lift others up into the air and spin them around before giving them a squeeze. He's just got so much energy built up, and is more than happy to share some love. If he's attracted to you, prepare to get some extra intimate touches too. Paul doesn't believe in "look, but don't touch".

Prepare to rarely get a moment of peace to yourself. The thing about Paul is that he's a little bit clingy due to attachment issues. He's very affectionate because in his human life, he didn't get the love he desperately needed in his life. He was surrounded by pain and cruelty, and he doesn't want that for the pack mates he cares so deeply for. He's scared he'll lose that love if he doesn't express if often.

Giving him a hug is wonderful, but using words of affirmation to show your love and adoration are even better. Things like "It's okay. I'm not going anywhere, I promise" may even get him a little emotional. But it's okay. He's the kindest one in the gang, and he'll return the love you give.

Analysis: Was Hermione really shown to be superior to Lavender in HBP?

The whole 'Hermione vs Lavender' thing, aka uplifting the nerdy girl over the girly girl doesn't exist in the books, it is entirely fan made.

People often talk about how Lavender, a girly girl (who giggles, is interested in divinition, loves unicorns etc) was put down in the books just to uplift Hermione, someone who isn't particularly feminine and who's nerdy and intelligent with regards to their relationship with Ron in hbp. This literally never happened though, Rowling went to elaborate lengths to establish that all 3 of them were incredibly immature and hormonal teenagers

Rowling might hv been partial to Hermione in a lot of instances but this isn't one of the. Hermione is portrayed to be just as immature and teenage-like as the other 2, in ways that don't strike as 'uplifting'. Rowling even crosses the line doing this, like with the bird attack. Ron and Hermione bicker due to terrible communication, then Hermione cries alone in a classroom when she sees Ron kissing lavender, and is thereafter described as 'mysteriously vanishing' every time Ron and Lavender are together. She's constantly shown to be really jealous and angry with this.

“He’s at perfect liberty to kiss whomever he likes,” said Hermione. “I really couldn’t care less.” She raised her quill and dotted an i so ferociously that she punctured a hole in her parchment. Harry said nothing"

She then teases Ron and runs to the bathroom crying when he teases her back, then debates picking between Cormac McLaggen and Zacarias Smith- she ends up picking Cormac as 'he'd annoy Ron the most' (Cormac being Ron's 'rival' for the post of Keeper in Quidditch).

In what way does this qualify as 'shown to be superior'!?

Harry constantly complains about Hermione's pettiness. The book literally says:

Harry was left to ponder in silence the depths to which girls would sink to get revenge.

The use of the word girls in plural shows that in no way does the plot or the narrative think that Hermione is superior to Lavender. They're both the same: teenage girls being petty and dumb asf, Hermione in a vindictive way and Lavender in an overly romantic way. Harry, who doesn't discriminate girls for being feminine (eg. Fleur), is also sick of Ron and Lavender. Even Parvati, who's just as girly as Lavender, was tired of them.

“Hi, Harry,” said Parvati who, like him, looked faintly embarrassed and bored by the behavior of their two friends.

Lavender was never shown as weak just because she was feminine or pitted against Hermione. She joins the DA in OotP, was one of the first few girls to join the DA and Neville into hiding in fear of being targeted by the Carrows in DH (implying that she'd rebelled against them all year), and stayed back at Hogwarts to defend the castle after Voldemort's warning.

All of this wasn't written to uplift or put down anybody, both the girls were just written as teenagers. And for me that's what makes their last interaction so heartbreaking in DH

Two bodies fell from the balcony overhead as they reached the ground a gray blur that Harry took for an animal sped four-legged across the hall to sink its teeth into one of the fallen. “NO!” shrieked Hermione, and with a deafening blast from her wand, Fenrir Greyback was thrown backward from the feebly struggling body of Lavender Brown.

Its not Ron who protects her, its Hermione. That shriek in capitals and the 'deafening blast' seem so devastatingly personal. This was the girl she'd spent 6 years sharing classes with and living in the same dormitory with.

Its the fans that pit the 2 against each other, while the narrative does the exact opposite. Both girls were very young. They went from being petty teenagers fighting over a guy to fighting in a brutal war and seeing unimaginable horrors.

I am behind on Stuff but here are some books I read recently that I liked

Lavender House 1950′s queer noir. Gay cop gets fired for being gay and ends up a hard boiled PI solving one of those Rich Household Murders when the head of a soapmaking fortune falls to her death. Has TW’s but a happy ending for the MC, who sounds like Batman in the audiobook.

Legends and Lattes Orc retires from adventuring and opens a coffeehouse in a city that’s never heard of coffee (which is its own kind of funny.) She accidentally found-families herself because of course she does, and it’s got f/f in it. 

A Gentleman in Moscow Smartass elegant aristocrat is sentenced to permanent house arrest in a hotel when the communists take over in Russia 100ish years ago. Book describes the next several decades of his life and all the adventures you can get up to in a small space, which are: plenty. Surprise, like the previous one this also has restaurant stuff in it so I felt very Seen by the person who recommended it to me. Has m/f in it.

A Lady for a Duke Regency m/f romance. Heroine was thought dead on the battlefield in Waterloo but instead, she’s nursed back to health in a cottage and takes the opportunity to quietly transition and return home to become the “poor companion” to her brother’s wife. Problem: her old best friend, who has a lot of Waterloo trauma himself, is at the end of his rope. He does lash out when he figures out his new love is his old lost friend, but it’s 100% selfishness not transphobia (”how could you let me think you were dead”) and there is more than enough space in the story for him to redeem himself. Just wanted to make sure y’all knew that was in there.

I also read Project Hail Mary ages ago and that was really cute. I LOVED the ending bc it was more than I was expecting by that point. I went in nearly completely cold and that’s why I’m not describing the plot, just that someone I trusted said that they thought I’d like it. So I’m gonna let that be the spoiler: that it was ultimately cozy enough for the likes of me. :P

Wearing Something of the Danny Bunch's (Part 2)

Wow. It's uh, been awhile. Man I take forever to finish writing things I start but hey, better late content than no content. Here as promised I have another installment of wearing something of our boys'. This time I offer you Andrea, Ernst, Niki, and Laszlo. Enjoy!

Andrea Marowski

• With Andrea you tend to steal his suit jackets when it's chilly, but the first time you did it was pretty adorable.

• The jacket was new. He had just gotten it from Janet and Ursula as a part of one of the suits they had gotten him once Andrea was up and around.

• You had been teaching him English with your limited knowledge of German and had become acquainted rather quickly with one another.

• You had taken him up on the offer to sit by the sea. The wind had picked up while Andrea was down closer to the shore in the sand (looking for seashells, probably).

• You slipped on his discarded suit jacket to find it warm and fuzzy against your skin.

• When Andrea returned with a handful of shells and rocks that caught his eye it took a moment for him to notice that you were wearing his jacket.

• But when he did he stopped in his tracks with a blush.

• He was mesmerized.

• "Du bist so hübsch. (You're so pretty.)" He had said in German rather than his native Polish hoping you could understand the compliment. Andrea couldn't string any coherent English together as he processed you in his jacket.

• "Danke, Andrea."

• His smile was the cutest thing you'd ever seen.

• He then proceeded to show you the many shells he found.

Ernst Schmidt

• You love to steal his shirts to sleep in at night.

• At first he had no clue who exactly was stealing his shirts. Maybe Volkov was playing some sort of weird prank on him to piss him off?

• Were his shirts just getting lost in the day-to-day??

• What the fuck was happening to his shirts???

• He kept wondering that until he passed by your room one late night when you didn't have your door fully closed. He peaked in and was instantly not mad about the shirts anymore.

• You were curled up asleep in one of them and Ernst just couldn't be upset about it anymore.

• It was cute and he couldn't complain.

• He did ask why though the next morning.

• "Sometimes I get lonely and I find you to be a comforting presence. Please don't be upset with me Schmidt I'll make sure you get them all back."

• "No need. I can't be angry when you're both comfortable and absolutely adorable in my shirts."

Niki Lauda

• The day he looks over and watches you try on his helmet is the day he decides that you're a person he wants to attempt to hold onto.

• The two of you had been casually seeing each other for awhile. It was nothing serious in the slightest. It was more of a "we work around each other and we seem to get along" kind of arrangement.

• So to say that Niki didn't really pay that much attention was an understatement.

• You were helping to organize some things in the garage after a late night of making improvements to the car while cleaning up when you see it.

• In all of its glossy red F1 Ferrari branded glory was Niki's helmet up on one of the shelves out of the way.

• You were very careful grabbing it from its spot and even more careful handling it.

• Niki had walked back in from collecting something from the track and just stopped to observe where this was going. From the looks of it to him it just seemed like you were simply looking at the helmet.

• That was until you slipped it on and smiled big and bright as you stared at yourself in the reflection of the metal table.

• Niki couldn't help it and chuckled. It was a bit big on you but fuck were you the cutest thing he'd ever seen.

• "I see you found my helmet."

• "I'm sorry Niki I was just looking-"

• He grinned. "No. You look like a proper racing driver now."

Laszlo Kreisler

• His black suit jacket was fair game when he left it unattended.

• You were in his office with Sarah and John looking over the details in a scientific journal for the case when Laszlo stepped out with Stevie without his jacket.

• With a smile you scurried over to retrieve it and wrap yourself in it before he returned.

• John chuckled. "Cold?" He joked with a playful jab to your rib.

• Sarah gave a small, all-knowing smile in your direction.

• You shrugged. "A little. I just like his jacket and how warm it is."

• His jacket was a bit big on you. It was cozy and the material felt soft against your skin. Most importantly to you it smelled like him, like crazy expensive specially imported Austrian cologne that he used exclusively. It was so characteristically Laszlo that it made you smile more.

• Laszlo looked confused when his desk lacked the jacket. He scanned the room to spot it snuggly against your form and without a second thought started to walk to the other side of the room.

• "Ah, I'll shut the windows then. It is rather drafty with the wind coming in."

• He smiled to himself where no one could see. Although he'd never truly admit it, he loved seeing you in his suit jackets.
