Godfather Legend

I feel like we're all sleeping on the fact that Legend has, essentially, a god-son, whom he takes financial responsibility for and actively helped to raise. Like, hello? Can you imagine if the heroes are just walking along one day and Legend's just like "yes, we're stopping up ahead because I need to check in on someone" and this freaking kid runs out of the house ahead of them ,all excited to see him again and Legend just explains it as "oh yeah, I'm his god-father" like, sir? You are yourself a child, where did that come from?

But yeah, Bippin and Blossom's kid lives rent free in my head and I need the others to discover his existence, for reasons.

Alternate Hero/Guide Rant

So I've been thinking lately of parallel universes and the question "what if this was changed", yada yada, and I thought of something having to do with our guide.

What if, in an alternate era/timeline they took the place of Link?

Like the Chain still has their normal dynamics, same meeting, etc., but in swoops the reader (the heroine/false hero?) and they are unlike any link/hero in the timeline.

Some background for their Hyrule might be that their entire Hyrule is in ruins, like completely. Think Totk but 100 times more destroyed. Yeah. Essentially, their Link mysteriously disappeared, monarchy was left in utter chaos and the country essentially destroyed itself. I think your backstory would take place 5000-10,000 years after Wild's, so you would be the most latest "Link".

One of the main deviations between yourself and the Chain is that you didn't fight Ganon/Ganondorf/Demise; you fought Hylia in the flesh.

In terms of triforce? You don't have any pieces because your Link gained them all and left shortly after that. Conspiracies say it had a more sinister motive, but you have a different idea of what happened.

Zelda was killed around the same time Link disappeared, essentially destroying whatever foundation of Hyrule was left. The different nations of Hyrule had a 50-year war and eventually, everything was so destroyed that everyone went into isolation, closing off from each other.

A religiously-motivated eruption of chaos occurs, spurring your quest to eliminate Hylia and her existence. Despite not having any relation to the royal family, Link, or Hylia's prophecy, you have the memories of each hero, which is unheard of with the Chain. Only Zelda's have previous memories, meaning you're some weird anomaly.

A bunch of shit happens, whatever, boom you're in Wild's Hyrule. THe Chain notices you almost instantly, mostly cuz you're wearing hero's garb, but none of theirs, meaning... you're a Link. Or so they originally thought.

I have this little hc for legend

Its that he literally doesn't know what's real anymore, because he gets dreams like he wakes up and he's on koholint with marin, then he spends his day there goes to bed and wakes up (back in reality) and it with the chain/ravio whatever, then his day goes and he goes to bed but he wakes up again in bed on koholint, and it's happend for so long now, he genuinely doesn't know what one is the dream and what is reality... who knows? Maybe there both dreams.. or maybe he's time traveling fuck if he knows, he's just trying to enjoy the time he has left (however long that may be)

I do have more headcanons!!

Legend: Chronic pain + fatigue, autistic and low masking. He uses a cane/staff sometimes when he really needs it

Twilight: Struggles because his senses are really heightened and he gets overwhelmed by constant loud noise, auditory processing disorder, selectively mute

Wild: Hard of hearing in his ear that got kinda blown up, deals with a lot of pain from his scars and has a Lot of nerve damage, also selectively mute

Hyrule: Autistic, his old scars ache from time to time, and he’s got asthma

Wind: ADHD, horribly farsighted, he’s walking completely unaware there’s a whole world of fine detail out there. he denies the fact that he cannot read (all his problems could easily be solved with glasses). He’s got a mild allergy to shrimp and peanuts

Time: Dyslexic, autistic (low masking), chronic pain, and also selectively mute. He’s lactose intolerant and is really mad about it (he still drinks a little bit of milk on occasion as a little treat because it makes him happy but also miserable)

Four: AuDHD, migraines, suffers from back pain because of bad posture

Sky: Epilepsy, severe chronic pain, struggles to adjust to low altitude and that makes it a bit hard for him to breathe sometimes, ADHD

Warriors: Autism (high masking), chronic low blood sugar, chronic pain, burn scars make it hard for him to regulate his body temperature so he overheats easily
