Faire Dandy - Human Champion

A mildly extravagant outfit for a noble visiting farmers faire.

Farmers Faire is the time of year when I start thinking about early autumn, even though it’s now merged with summer fest. And with autumn, it is the best time to use lots of rich browns and warm red tones. In this outfit, I went with warm earthy greens paired with deep reds. This particular chest has very sharp trim. It has undyeable crimson/burgundy ish sleeves that I thought looked nice with a very warm green. To bring out the trim, I went with the Brawler starter capelet. The short length of the cape also gives off a more casual feel. Unfortunately, the sleeves and pant legs of the chest piece are bulkier than many of the older gear pieces, so there were not that many glove options that didn’t clip though.

To add some autumn cozy details, I went with the Westfold fur pauldrons and medium Thranduil boots. To distribute the brown fur tones throughout the outfit, I added the Bowmaster Gloves in walnut brown and the farmer hat in ranger green.

So I stumbled upon a post on reddit where someone had made a list of what book chapters of Tolkien correspond with what storybeat in the main questline of Lotro.

And now I am making it my little feelgood project to replay the main story while reading the books along at the same time and pace. So it will be a slow read given how long this game is, but I am excited for it.

I made a river hobbit lass for this, Rhiandys, who is a champion and out in the world to have an adventure.

I am literally still at the very start, but I already smiled to myself reading the prologue of Fellowship and going "yeah, that's where my girl is from in the game!" at this bit

It's gonna be a fun journey!

Narmelleth!!! I mean. She's got it all. Corrupted by the Gift Lord, Ring-forger, Bane of Fornost, Earnur's Worstie, COOL OUTFIT, Redemption Arc we didn't start the fire

she actually managed to destroy the lesser ring of power "Annatar" had used to corrupt her, which is like, SO impressive considering how long she had been under its influence. She also fought Mordirith (the steward of Angmar) and his new champion Mordrambor (a universally loathed NPC that everyone rightfully hates for personal reasons) single-handedly!! I don't mean alone, the player character was there, but I mean she did it single-handed. with one hand. she lost a hand and kept fighting. and WON!!!

Horn:

Man of Rohan; student of Gleowine, son of Reeve Ingbert of the Entwash Vale (mentioned in canon, prominent character in LOTRO)

he's a guy from rohan with absolutely no chill at all <3 he's a minstrel & a swordsman who wrote a rude song about wormtongue, got banished to a term at this border post near lothlorien, got kicked out of *there* because he wouldn't let this random dunlending girl die, went back to edoras with some friends, got banished *again*, fought a giant for awhile, went back to edoras *AGAIN* (important to note that this is less than 48 hours later), and honestly probably would've gotten killed for that if it wasn't also the day gandalf & the three hunters got there. also his dad's a dick. that's not really relevant but it *is* true
