Remaking this Éowyn after 10 years of cosplay was so gratifying! The trim is all hand embroidered and I’m so proud of how well I was able to dye the matelassé to match the corset suede 😍
I took a break from my art, became Arwen ,and attended to my first the Lord of the rings orchestra!
It was so phenomenal and awesome. The conductor, choir, musicians, and the staffs took me back to the Middle earth again. I appreciate how they put so much effort for the audiences. It such a hard work!
I’d say this is my 29th birthday gift such a best gift 🎁 😫😭 I met so many people from middle ages to very young. I felt we were talking in the same language🩷 I met someone who dressed up as Luthien but no one recognised her until I asked her ‘are you Luthien’ and she was so happy I know her omg
Hopefully I can get to see the two towers and the return of the king soon
My almost finished Maedhros cosplay based on my very own design. Photo and edit by @thistlesandstories
The costume contains handsewn shirt (I used Lyocell instead of linen because it looks more elvish), cotton hand quilted vest with customised metal buckles, waist belt including the embossed Oath of Fëanor and wide belt adorned with Fëanorian stars made from polymer clay. The sword is a prototype made from EVA foam, but I want to make a less wrinkly one.
The bracers, the scabbard and the belt are all my own leatherwork. Details for nitpickers:
There are powers beyond darkness at work in this world. Perhaps on days such as this, we’ve little choice but to trust in their designs. And surrender our own.

I've been looking at this photo for two days now, this is quite possibly one of my fave photos in almost 10 years of cosplay, and the fact that it wasn't taken at the photoshoot, convention or by myself near the wall like I mostly do lately 😹 is absolutely mindblowing to me.
From left to right: a Teleri OC, Aegnor, Amras, Annatar, Caranthir, Gil-galad.
From left to right: Irmo, Eöl, a Nandor OC, Maeglin, a Mirkwood OC, Thranduil
And of course Thingol.
Welcome and thank you to all new followers! The Thingol cloak post brought you here, but I have several more Middle-earth cosplays, most of them own designs for Silmarillion characters.
In those days of our tale, there were still some people who had both elves and heroes of the North for ancestors and Elrond, the master of the house, was their chief. He was as noble and as fair in face as an elf lord, as strong as a warrior, as wise as a wizard, as venerable as a king of dwarves and as kind as summer.

Full set of photos from the Rings of Power shoot I did with Jei and Keiran back in April! Jei's Galadriel cosplay is absolutely gorgeous and Keiran did such a beautiful job capturing that 'lit from within' quality of Tolkien's elves, as well as making the pergola look like an elven city!

I FINALLY figured out how to get this got dang collar put together. I am glad it worked 😂 and I’m ready to put together the finally version to then finish the dress 🤞 I’m going to make sure the top layer has a brocade to make it look nicer and more like the movie images. Stay tuned!
