Yandere Kya Headcanons
Kya being a confirmed Lesbian makes me feel an indescribable feeling, like jittery and happy. Like UGHHSHOIFHIHH
Tumblr media
She's carefree and spirited, and she loves just being with you in the moment
When she first met you, like her mother, she showed off her waterbending to impress you
You, as a nonbender, were amazed by her skill and agreed to go on a date with her
She already knew where you both were going to go for your first date and how everything was going down
Because believe it or not, she had been courting you for months
Sure, she did a little stalking here and there and had to throw her little brother to the wolves, so he wouldn't steal you, but now she has you
She was a little bit worried her older brother, Bumi, but seeing as how he was a nonbender, she had no worries
She loves going on adventures with you
Though, they're in controlled environments
She also loves taking you on little vacations, just you and her, alone, no one to bother you
She loves kissing you, but her favorite is under the moonlight, because you just look so beautiful
Though, you always look beautiful, but god you look amazing
Especially in her bed
She shows you off any chance she can get
Especially to her brothers
When you're not with her, she's talking about you
Bumi thinks it's cute but Tenzin finds it annoying
She also brags about you to her mother
So, when you first meet Katara, she already knows everything about you
Kya blushes when her mom tells you that Kya never shuts up about you
Kya will always put you first and protect you no matter the cost
You are her everything and she couldn't imagine losing you
Not even to death

So you did Firebenders imagines but what about the Waterbenders healing you after you get hurt. I know it's cliche but I enjoy the angst.
It's okay to be cliché, and I enjoy the angst too don't worry.
Pairing: Aang, Katara, Korra, Tonraq, Kya II x Reader
Tags: fluff, hurt/comfort, kissing, being worried, healing, injury recovery
A/N: Love how everyone wears blue here except for Aang, you just know he's special. Well he does have blue arrow tattoos.
Tumblr media
Aang doesn't leave your side until he's sure you're healed up. He's not a healer but he can't leave you to deal with this on your own. Just tell him what you need him to fetch for you, where it hurts and he'll do his best to cool that area off.
Katara is able to calm down quickly and get things under control. She needs to, for your sake. You can see her hands shaking just a little bit so you offer her a strained smirk, something like this is a tiny scratch. Besides with her healing you know you'll be okay in no time.
Korra may have been taught by the best healer in the world but she's still learning. For you though she'll put her best foot forward. And hey if that doesn't work she can always try to kiss it better, it might work even better then her waterbending.
Tanraq has always been more of a warrior then a healer but that can come in handy as well. Might not be as quick as healing with waterbending but he can still make sure to ease your pain. He does get a whole lot more protective while you're recovering.
Kya II will fix you so quick you'll forget you were even injured. On the surface at least and yet she'll keep being clingy and hovering around you until you show her, not tell her, that you're fully healed, then and only then will she go in for a big kiss with you.

Hii :D since requests are open could u do a piece between iroh ii and kya's daughter? But this time maybe ab the first argument they had as husband and wife? Like what would they argue ab and who would apologize first!!
a/n: idk why but i struggled so much with this prompt LOL but i hope you enjoy! this is really the only argument i could see them having
summary: an important day for your marriage turns sour when your husband confuses his days
~ based off these hcs ~
Tumblr media
You check the clock with a sigh for what feels like the hundredth time before rising from your seat and blowing out the candles on the table. The food you’d spent hours meticulously preparing has now grown cold, but you don’t feel much like eating anymore anyway. Your bottom lip trembles but you’re too prideful to allow your tears to fall, so instead you resort to cleaning away the mess before retiring to your bedroom for the night.
It should have been a beautiful evening; you’d planned everything so perfectly so that nothing could go wrong. But you never thought it possible for your own husband to forget his wedding anniversary, and this was a detail you hadn’t accounted for when putting together the romantic dinner.
You knew Iroh was a busy man what with being a General and one of President Raiko’s best men, but you didn’t think he’d find himself to be too busy on a day that was meant to be sacred for you both. A year ago today you’d married the love of your life in the palace gardens in front of your closest family and friends, and a year later you now find yourself alone in your bedroom wiping away the rest of your makeup and removing all of your jewelry.
Your hand stops at your betrothal necklace, and you stare back at your sullen reflection in the vanity mirror as you clutch onto the crescent shaped stone. You haven’t seen or heard from Iroh all day, and your feelings are severely crushed by his abandonment. Were you a fool for thinking your marriage would hold priority over his duties as General?
You’re too engrossed in your sulking to hear his footsteps, and it isn’t until your bedroom door begins to creak open slowly that you’re alerted of his return home. You say nothing to him, acting as if he isn’t even there as you brush out your hair.
“Darling, I wasn’t expecting you to still be awake,” he notes with a fond smile, oblivious to your hurt. “I’m sorry I missed dinner, but I had to stay back and discuss my next assignment with Raiko.”
“Dinner isn’t the only thing you missed,” you mutter coldly much to his surprise. It’s only then that he notices the anger in your features, your furrowed brows and pursed lips and hardened eyes.
“I don’t understand?” Iroh says wearily, taken aback by your demeanor. He’d never seen you behave in such a way and it worried him.
“I don’t expect you to,” you bite back impatiently. “It’s not like we share the same values or put the same amount of importance on things.”
“Whoa, hold on. Why are you speaking this way? What’s upsetting you?” He urges gently, kneeling before you and attempting to hold your hand only for you to pull it away. “Talk to me.”
“How could you miss our anniversary?!” You finally cry out in frustration, startling your poor husband. “Did you not see it to be important enough to take a day off from being the General? Do I not matter to you?”
“Of course you do!” Iroh exclaims, clearly offended at the idea that he could ever see his wife as unimportant. “Y/n, I didn’t forget our anniversary. Our anniversary is tomorrow, and I made sure to clear my schedule so I could spend the entire day with you.”
“Our anniversary was today!”
“My wife, our anniversary is on the 6th. Today is the 5th,” Iroh tries to argue, but this only seems to infuriate you further.
“Iroh, today is the 6th!” You say exasperated. His brows furrow at your words, but after a moment you see his features begin to fall at the realization of his mistake.
“Today is our anniversary,” he murmurs quietly, almost ashamed to voice it out loud. “I completely missed it.”
“You left me alone the entire day. An entire dinner I cooked for us was left to grow cold because you didn’t come home,” you tell him sullenly, a fresh wave of tears beginning to form. “I spent our first wedding anniversary without my husband.”
“My love, I am so sorry and ashamed,” Iroh professes sincerely, and this time when he takes your hands in his own you don’t pull away. His own eyes are glossy with tears and full of regret, and the sight only makes you want to cry more. “You know I’d never forget our anniversary, I couldn’t. Marrying you was the greatest day of my life. I’ve just been so busy that I lost track of the days, and that isn’t fair to you. You deserve my attention and my time more than anyone else does, and I’m sorry to have failed you as your husband.”
“I’m sorry for being so cruel. I was just so worried that our marriage wasn’t important enough to you,” you confess with a sniffle. “I worry that being a husband is not as exciting for you as being a General or a traveler or-“
“Being your husband is the greatest honor I could ever have,” he interrupts you. “I mean this, and I’m going to make it up to you. We’ll leave tomorrow for Ember Island and have a vacation, just the two of us. We’ll have the beach house to ourselves and I’ll spend every minute making sure you feel valued and appreciated. Does that sound okay?”
“It’s perfect,” you nod with a watery smile, melting into his touch when he cups your face in his hands and pulls you in for a tender kiss.
Mistakes were made, but you know Iroh would never hurt you. He worships the ground you walk on. And in the end, he’ll always go out of his way to be the husband you deserve.
Because you are more than he could ever ask for.

A wolf's love
Tumblr media
You've known Sokka since you were little. Your father was the chief of another southern tribe and also a close friend of Chief Hakoda. Also, your grandmothers were friends in their youth.
You were a waterbender but you discovered this shortly after Kya's death so you decided to hide this ability. After the men left for war, your father left you in Kanna's care.
 You became very close to Sokka, and Katara often laughed at your childish love for her brother. Sokka, on the other hand, adores you and has dreamed of you two getting married since childhood.
When Sokka and Katara brought Aang to the village you were skeptical but then you agreed with Katara hoping that you would be able to find a waterbending master.
You convinced Sokka to come with you telling him that you need someone strong to protect you.
When you arrived on Kyoshi Island, you and Sokka argued for the first time since you met. It was the first time you noticed how misogynistic Sokka really was. Sokka begged Suki to teach him to fight and even agreed to wear traditional Kyoshi clothes. You, Katara and Aang laughed but at least you weren't mad at him anymore.
Then came the meeting with Jet. Sokka will never admit to you how good he felt when he noticed that you also thought there was something wrong with that boy.You helped Sokka save the village.
The visit to the North Pole was a nightmare for you. The brothers found out you were a waterbender and were upset that you didn't tell them sooner. Katara soon gave up her upset being happy that she is not the last waterbender from the South. Sokka was extremely upset, first you lied to him and then you gave up on him to spend time with his sister. He won't admit it, but the fact that he wasn't a bender hurt him a lot. He decided to try to make you jealous by approaching Yue. But things did not go in his favor. After his kiss with Yue from Spirit Oasis, you decided to give up on the idea of a relationship with him.
 Katara could no longer bear the horrible condition her brother was in, so she told you about his plan from the North Pole. To give Sokka a taste of his own medicine, you started flirting with Zuko. Katara thought you were a perfect match for her brother due to your extremely great talent for making plans (notice the sarcasm, please). You and Toph found Sokka's silly jealousy hilarious.
Sokka was absolutely crazy, what did that fiery head have that he didn't?!
 During the Siege of Ba Sing Se you and Sokka finally confessed your feelings for each other. Sokka was happier than ever but that didn't last because you were seriously injured and lost a lot of blood. You've been unconscious almost as long as Aang. In that time Sokka was completely destroyed. He felt like his life was over and he swore that when you woke up, he couldn't imagine you wouldn't, he would do anything to protect you.
 When you woke up Sokka exploded like fireworks. Even though you felt horrible, you struggled to give him a big smile. After that, things started to go downhill. Sokka had become inhumanly possessive and protective. You tried to talk to Katara and Hakoda but they told you that Sokka acts like this because he doesn't want to lose you like he lost his mother which made you feel like a terrible person.
 When you arrived in the Fire Nation, Sokka followed you like a shadow. At Hama's inn he slept in the same room as you. When you found out that Hama was from the Southern Water Tribe something clicked in your mind. You asked if she had known your paternal grandmother. Her eyes widened when she heard your father's name. It seems that Hama was your grandmother, Sokka's grandmother's friend. That didn't make Sokka calm down and he almost attacked Hama with his sword when she tried to hug you. After Hama was arrested Sokka consoled you saying that you don't need anyone else when you have him.
After Zuko's coronation you and Sokka returned to the South while Katara and Aang had to stay in the Fire Nation. Although Sokka's protectiveness still bothers you, you were extremely happy when Sokka asked you to marry him.
But as heroes never have a simple life, your story has only just begun.
Although I do not own the characters from avatar the last airbender, this work belongs to me! I sincerely hope you liked it. Please rate it and leave a comment! follow me to see my next posts! 💖💖💨

god forgive me
Tumblr media Tumblr media
♡ sub!kaeya, fucking surprise
♡cw: alcohol, god!reader, u are the anemo archon, gn reader, penetrative sex but no parts mentioned on either end, sort of dacryphilia, general cosmic knowledge bullshit
♡a/n: what am i doing. someone take this man away from me
“I think you’ve had a bit too much,” comes a flirtatious voice behind you. Though the first floor of the tavern is always crowded and cheerful, the second stays quiet enough for you to recognize the voice’s owner.
“What makes you say that?” you reply without turning around. The answer was obvious– empty glasses litter the table you’d claimed in the dim corner– but Kaeya wasn’t one for small talk. No, if he’d gone out of his way to find you, there was a more important reason.
Gloved hands press into the faded wood next to you, along with a glass that smells of Death After Noon, as the Captain leans over the table. “Rough day, was it?”
“I didn’t know you cared.”
“Is it so astonishing that I’d care for my God?”
Your hands playing with the splintering wood of the table stilled. There had always been cityfolk that knew your secret, but not many had so shamelessly flaunted their knowledge. It would seem fitting of the Spymaster to keep you on your toes. It wouldn’t be right, though, you decide, to let someone so brazen play games with a god.
“I didn’t take you for the type,” you answer measuredly, turning to meet his eye. “But then, I didn’t think I’d mentioned who I was to you before. Perhaps I’ve just scratched the surface in my perception of you.”
And perhaps the human drink has finally reached your brain, you think, as his visible eye glitters at your words. “Let’s get you home,” are the words that fall from his lips, neatly avoiding your implications. Fitting of the Knights, so good at backing out of impossible corners.
Your thoughts almost distract you from his next question.
“Where do you stay?”
You smile and lean in close, close enough Kaeya can hear you over the music and laughter of the tavern when you speak. “I don’t stay. I move where the winds lead me. And tonight, they’ve led me to you.”
He watches you, always so critical, as you lift his Death After Noon to your lips and let the sweet wine slide down your throat.
“Are you sure?” he asks, almost surprised. The wine hits your blood but does nothing to dull your mind. So difficult, to get drunk on the spirits of mortals. But there are other ways, you reason, to intoxicate oneself. And a new door just opened.
“Why wouldn’t I be?”
“You don’t have any sense of danger? No regard for your safety?”
You shift slowly, leaning in towards the Captain. “You overestimate yourself,” you murmur, slow and sure. “Do you think you know more than me? Do you think I haven’t watched over you since you stumbled into my land? Do you think you would have thrived here without my blessing?”
You move closer, close enough that your lips brush against his ear when you say, “Do you think I don’t know you better than you know yourself?”
Kaeya freezes for a minute, but manages to maintain his façade. “If we’re to continue this conversation, it should be when you’re sober,” he relents.
“Such kindness,” you reply. So much this mortal didn’t know, so much he thought he did. You decide to keep to yourself that the wine had nothing to do with your disposition.
The scenes of the tavern and the streets blur as calloused hands guide you outside and into the night. You smile to yourself quietly– you hadn’t even had to ask– as the lights of the townhouses come into view.
The first thing you notice is that the decoration is sparse. A boy from two broken families would want less to miss, but the reality of it brings you to your senses. The music and blurriness of the city fall away to the quiet understatedness of the apartment.
Wordlessly, you remove your shoes and cross the room to wrap your arms around the Captain’s slender waist from behind.
“Poor lonely boy,” you whisper to him, your voice deep and rasping. “So underappreciated, so hopelessly unaware of the love this city feels for you.” Your grip tightens, sliding down over his hips. “Let me show you how much Mondstadt loves you.”
“You’re Mondstadt itself, are you?” comes his reply, breathless and questioning. Kaeya turns in your hands, tracing the softly glowing veins of your arms from elbow to wrist. The new orientation allows for you to let your fingertips wander, closer to where you wanted them.
“Yes,” is your simple answer. “The city, the lands, the people. I thought you knew.”
His back arches into you at the command of a wandering hand.
“I know your value to my people,” you continue, other hand tugging at his bottom lip, admiring its fullness. “I know what you deserve, outlander. You have the blessing of the Anemo Archon, is that not enough for you?
His stunned silence keeps you talking– you’ve never seen the Cavalry Captain speechless before. “Few can say they’ve caught the attention of a god. Some might consider themselves honored. Some might praise and worship me. But I like you best because you wouldn’t do any of that at all.” You brush a stray lock of hair out of his face carefully. “Beautiful little thing, let me show you how wanted you are.”
“You’re awfully confident,” comes his reply, deliberate as he brings your hand on his face to his lips, sucking at the worn, scarred flesh.
The time between the exchange at the front door and arriving in bed seems nonexistent. You hover over the mortal, veins thrumming with magic as you move to rid him of his clothes.
His submission catches you off guard, however, when he melts into your touch, letting his eye flutter shut as your fingers swiftly work open the laces of his corset and belt with an adept familiarity, as if you had put them on the Captain yourself. When the buttons of his shirt come undone, you busy yourself with his chest, and when you finally manage to peel his tight pants down his thighs, your teeth sink into the soft brown skin of his stomach.
Desperate hips rock against your chin, looking for friction. When your exploring touch finds his tight rim, you hear a barely muffled gasp from above you. That’s what I’m looking for.
“Do you have anything to help with this?” you mumble against his skin, biting back a laugh when he clenches tighter at the sound of your voice.
“Bedside table”, he answers, desperately trying to hide the shakiness of his voice. You fish in the drawer until you draw up an oil, one you first remember being used for this purpose hundreds of years ago. You push the Knight’s knees apart.
“Just like that,” you murmur, pouring the shining golden liquid over your fingers. Before the excess can spill over your palms, you press it into him, deliberate and unceremoniously. Try as you might, your eyes never stray from between his thighs as you coax your toying fingers deeper. Deft and smooth as ever, you spread him open before your prying, all-seeing eyes, as if to peel away all his secrets with the display.
Kaeya’s sweet moans brought your attention back to the present, the present where you were feeling and human and vulnerable, where another ached just out of reach of your fingertips. The present, the reality, where you could realize how much you needed to be inside the mortal crying out and stuffed full of your digits as soon as possible.
The show of his hole spreading and twitching for you almost distracted your focus enough to forget your intentions. Almost, but not quite. You stare into his bottomless, starry eye as you slide into him.
Settling your hands around the halo of blue hair, you rolled your hips forward, tender and forgiving. “I love you,” you whisper as you feel his body tremble under yours.
“You’re d-drunk,” he accuses, gasping in time with your soft thrusts. “D-don’t say things like that unless you mean it.”
Your reply comes easily. “You think I don’t?” Your lips graze the soft incline of his cheekbones. “I speak for my city. I speak for my land and all of its people. I am the wind and sky, the lifeblood of the land.”
“I love you, Kaeya.”
“Ahhhh!”
“We are your home. We love you.”
“Don’t say that, I told you–”
“I am your home. I love you.”
It had been so, so long since anyone had told Kaeya that he was loved.
The cruel emotional overstimulation you insisted on putting him through makes tears shine in his eye; that unknowable, sparkling eye. It also makes him tighten around you again.
As Kaeya’s lips part in protest, you press his knees back against his chest and drive yourself in further, reaching down to draw his lips to yours. “I love you,” you repeat, quieter against his lips before tugging his lip into your teeth. You pretend not to notice the tears that wet your cheek.
Kaeya’s fingers dig into your back, pushing you deeper, closer, as if all he wanted was to end up in a world where only you would tell him he was loved, over and over, until he could understand. The sound of his orgasm is carried on the melody of a wordless sob. His tears stream down his face in rivers now, and you lick them off his face one by one, buried deep inside as he clings to you tightly.
Well done, you think to yourself, as the Knight shakes and sobs at your mercy. What better way to welcome a mortal home than to show him his god’s love firsthand?

Imagine:
Meeting Kya
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Request: Yes or No
Been busy irl! Sorry for no new sun and moon part. I most likely won't be posting tomorrow or on Wednesday as I'll be going on a trip but hopefully I can get the new part out after that.
~~~
The sun felt warm against your skin, fingers dipped into the cool water of the marsh. The air felt fresh, the buzzing of insects sounded better than the chatter of the town, and the solitude of it all felt just right. No prying eyes or nosy ears. No gossiping neighbors or so-called friends who gave out backhanded compliments.
The soft sound of a motor pulled your attention away from the dark water and onto the boat approaching yours. The owner studied you for a moment, almost as if assessing if you were a threat or not.
"You must be Tate's friend." You called out, wiping your fingers against your pants. You knew who she was, or at least what the town had dubbed her. The Marsh Girl. Not a day went by without some old lady whispering about the dirty, wild girl living alone in the marshes. You'd heard plenty about her in your youth; teeth as sharp as a gators, eyes that glowed in the dark, and feral like a street cat.
And yet, she looked no different than the other girls in town.
"You know Tate?" She called back, allowing her boat to get closer to yours.
"He's my cousin."
"(Y/N)?" It felt odd to have the infamous Marsh Girl say your name.
"He's mentioned me, huh?" You chuckled and she smiled warmly.
"Yes," She nodded, shoulders lowering as she relaxed. "He said he always followed you around when you were kids. He mentioned he borrowed some books of yours to teach me things."
Right. 'Borrowed'. Tate totally hadn't taken your books without mentioning it to you only to return them a week or two later with a toothy grin and promises of making it up to you.
"You heard from him?" She asked, hands curling in her lap as her expression turned solemn.
"Not since he left." You shook your head. "But his dad mentioned he's doing well."
"Good." She breathed, though the frown remained on her face.
"Has Tate ever mentioned my writing?" You asked, hoping a change of topic would lift her spirits.
"Yes, he did. Said he wanted to introduce us so we could publish a book together with my drawings.. said you wanted to be an author."
"Well, how 'bout it? I've got time to spare, if you want to put those artistic skills to work."
Gifs aren't mine.
My Jealousy, Jealousy Started Following Me
Characters: Avatar Aang, Katara, Sokka, Suki, Zuko, Toph Beifong, Ty Lee, Avatar Korra, Asami Sato, Tenzin, Kya II, Lin Beifong, Suyin Beifong, Opal Beifong [Might do another with Azula, Mako, Bolin, and Kuvira if yall want] Had this in the drafts for a while. Just had to finish it up. Holy shit this took forever. Kept debating if it was worth it...
Tumblr media
Avatar Aang
Aang likes to think he doesn't get jealous
He's calm and collective
But that all changed when one of the girls at Toph's Metal Bending Academy tried hitting you up
He likes to give them the benefit of the doubt and thinks maybe they don't know you're both dating
"Hey Babe! Come look at this sculpture Toph made!" [He'll call you nonchantly, hoping they'll get the hint]
But when the other person also walks over, still flirting with you, that's when he gets angry
He'd want to confront them, but honestly he's to nice for that
He might ask Katara for help
Katara will tell you how Aang feels
You'll confront Aang, but he'll pretend he doesn't know what you're talking about
"You know, you can tell me, Aang. You trust me, right?"
He'll sigh and admit and you'll comfort him, even confiding in him that sometimes you get jealous when people hit on him
Tumblr media
Katara
HAHAHAHA
Oh, I really feel bad for whoever is flirting with you
Katara is a very jealous woman
She doesn't like people taking what's hers
She might lightly bend them, but she'll do it nonchalantly
She'll justify it by saying that it's not a big deal and you're blowing it out of proportions
She gets really frustrated with herself, because she hates this feeling
She's very powerful, so she's not someone you want to mess with
She gets irritated and will roll her eyes as someone tries to flirt with you
Very passive aggressive
You better be prepared for a fight
Tumblr media
Sokka
He's so confused
Did that person not know you were taken?
He already has insecurities, so this doesn't help
He knows you're great, one of the MANY things he likes about you, so of course people would want your attention, but the point still stands
He'll probably do something stupid to get your attention
It's rather ridiculous
You'll look away from the person flirting with you to see your boyfriend about to get hurt
"Hey, I have to leave, my boyfriend is about to get himself killed"
Tumblr media
Suki
She's very confident, so she's not worried about this person at all
Though, she is annoyed, because who did that person think they were?
She will probably call your attention to her and do something to impress you, so you focus on her
She smiles when seeing you turn your attention away from them [Flirter]
It's a huge win for her
There is a slight part of her that is insecure because she sees you as incredible and she knows other people see it too
What if you end up leaving her? It really bothers her
So she's always doing crazy stuff to impress you so you never leave
Tumblr media
Zuko
Probably the easiest to anger and get jealous
He has no control over his emotions what so ever
He WILL start a fight with the guy hitting on you
He does NOT care who they are or what was say, he's going to put them in their place
But before he does that, he'll express to you that he's upset, but you think it's nothing
He tries to win your affection by beating that guy up
You're just annoyed because you think he overreacted. He says he didn't [He did]
Will gaslight you, saying it's your fault
"Why were you even talking to him!?"
He's so angry and he'll break the closest thing to him
He wants to control his anger, but you really bring out this side of him. He makes sure you know it too, because he tells you
So, when he's done throwing this temper tantrum, you both leave the party; Mad af
You're mad that the party and good vibe was ruined and he's mad that you're mad, because he was just trying to get that dude away from you
Tumblr media
Toph Beifong
She can feel the other person's heart beat pick up as they continue to hit on you
She's annoyed, but doesn't know how to express it healthily
She might use her bending to push that person away from you
She'll give them a show, so that they can have something to talk about
Might even crush them
The thought makes her smirk
She'll send little earthquakes to the person
Treated thems like a ball and and bounces them with the earth, without making it obvious
She'll forget about it when you come over to her and talk to her
Tumblr media
Ty Lee
She's the least likely to get jealous because she's also a player
Though she does get upset when seeing that you're uncomfortable
She'll glare and excuse herself from whatever conversation she's in, even if it's with Azula, and walks over to where you are
Her tactic is to come in hot, just like the person flirting with you
She'll aggressively flirt with them to try and make them uncomfortable
But if that doesn't work, she'll be very direct and say that you're together and that they need to stop
They'll think it's a joke but Ty Lee is dead serious
She's willing to fight them if it comes to that
She might also grab your hand and drag you away, if you ask her not to make a scene
She'll keep an eye on you for the rest of the night
Tumblr media
Avatar Korra
Korra gets extremely jealous
If someone even LOOKS at you in a way she doesn't like, she'll get angry
She's possessive over the things that are hers
Anyone approaches her and they are pushed into the wall
She's pissed and can't control her bending
She'll apologize to the person she hurt, but she doesn't really mean it. She's still focused on you
You're HERs, so why are they talking to you
Everyone knows you belong to the Avatar, so why even try?
She's thinking of all the ways she could kill them
It kind of makes her feel a little better, but not much
She is slightly insecure though, because what if you do like them better than her? No, you can't... You just can't like them more
Tumblr media
Asami Sato
She'll roll her eyes and glare at them
They've got some balls talking to you, everyone knows you have a girlfriend, so why is that person flirting w/ you ??
She'll come strutting over & flip her hair
"Who's this babe?"
She's smiling, but anyone with eyes can see that's not true
Man if looks could kill
You tell her that they were telling you about some acomplishment they achieved
"Oh, did you tell them how we work with the Avatar and have saved the world?"
She's deadass going to shove her accomplishments in their face
She's so pretty too so she knows that they don't stand a chance
She's already won this fight, so they might as well give up
Tumblr media
Tenzin
Haha? Him? Jealous? No of course not-
Okay, he's extremely jealous, but it doesn't show at all
He has mad stern resting face- No emotions
But inside he's steaming
You probably have a little bit of an age gap, so he's worried you'll leave him for someone your age
[But you've liked Tenzin for a long time, so you weren't letting him go anytime soon]
He's trying to preoccupy his attention
Though, it's not working
He can't get it off his mind
Will definitely start a fight over it later
Tumblr media
Kya
She's confused. Why is someone flirting with you?
She's not insecure, just annoyed
Because who the hell did they think they were? Did they not know you were taken. No, they had to have known
She's pretty easygoing, so she won't act irrationally
Instead, she'll continue doing her thing and allowing you to do your own thing, because you're your own human being
She'll probably bring it up, like... offhandly, so you don't get suspicious
"Hey, who was the person you were talking to? You know, the one who had talked to Tenzin?"
You don't even think about it and are like "Oh! Yeah, they were so annoying. I think they were trying to hit on me."
She laughs it off, but she's not happy
Thankfully, you complain about it, annoyed af
We know how she acts when she's broken up with [Hence her destroying ATI]
Try her and see what happens
She's a cop and she's willing to play dirty and arrest the person or frame them for a crime
She's going to ruin their life
And she doesn't even care if it destroys that person
The only person she cares about is you
She wants to hurt them
And she will stop at no means necessary to make sure it doesn't ever happen again
She, like her daughter, is passive aggressive
She'll glare and crush whatever is in her hand
She'll fantasize about all the ways she would kill the person flirting with you
She wants for it not to bother her, but it really does
Maybe because there is a part of her that is scared you'll leave her [Like Tenzin did to her sister]
She'll take a deep breath, before smiling, and approaching you
She'll try and join the conversation, but the person who was hitting on you cuts them off and pushes her out of the conversation
She gets pissed
How dare they do that to her
She wants to throw hands with them, but holds herself together
She'll grab your hand, capturing your attention
"Yeah?"
She then tells you she wants to go back home
Opal Beifong
She feels very strongly about you and doesn't know what to feel when seeing someone flirt with you so openly
She knows it's not your fault, but god does she hate watching it
Though with her outgoing nature, she'd walk up and join the conversation, switching it to what she wants
She's easy going, so she doesn't really exhibit jealousy, because she goes with the flow
Though if you look closely, you can see her eye twitch and her mouth frown ever so lightly
She's quite passive aggressive and can be quite mean with her words
The Myth of Y/N (Korra x Reader UNREQUITED) Part 15
TRUTHS REVEALED
Y/N'S POV
It has been a while ago since I had that dream...or vision. Whatever I want to call it. I told Tenzin about it and how all I can remember is a "Wan" person. We have been having more frequent meditation sessions as well as doing our own research about it but we have found nothing. I am certain we will figure it out soon.
Besides all of that spiritual stuff , though, I've just been relaxing and hanging out with everyone. There was that one incident where Ikki ran away because Jinora and Meelo were making fun of her so Tenzin, Kya, and Bumi went out to look for her. The latter two came back with grumpy looks on their faces but soon afterwards Tenzin came back with Ikki. Since then it seems the three children of Avatar Aang have gotten along much better. It looks like they finally sorted things out with their feelings towards their father.
Eventually we all left to go to the Eastern Air Temple. This place feels much different than the southern temple. I don't know how to explain it, it just feels more...spiritual.
Speaking of spirits, I also discovered that some spirits inhabit the area. They look pretty cute to be honest with their bunny-like body and their wing-like ears. I noticed that Jinora could see them too but no-one else can, which is actually not surprising considering what happened in the last temple. The airbender got really friendly with the one of them, she even named it "Furry-Foot." Only children can come up with such creative names, am I right? Kya has been giving us weird looks, though. I don't know if she's starting to figure everything out yet or not.
Right now I'm with the others at the main entrance of the temple about to begin the grand tour of the Eastern Air Temple. We are just waiting for Tenzin and Jinora. I'm currently with Bumi and Kya and we are...validating...the retired commander's story.
"So...let me get this straight." I begin, my lips curved up in an amused smile. "You managed to defeat an earthbender in a rock throwing contest?"
"Yeperdo!" Bumi responds loudly. "And he was a tough one all right. The rocks ranged from small to big, it was unbelievable. It took all of my strength and willpower, but eventually I performed a precise maneuverer and chucked a rock the size of a walnut right at his eye. He called it quits after that, haha!"
I snicker at the the former commander's story. "Sounds like quite an adventure, Bumi."
Kya snorts at my comment. "Don't be fooled, Y/N. Bumi likes to exaggerates a few of his stories from time to time."
"But not this time, I swear!" Bumi quickly retorts. "That is exactly how it went. Come on, Y/N. After all the stories I've told you, surely you'll believe me, right?!"
I chuckle at the scene before and nod in confirmation. I know he exaggerates sometimes, but I think most of the time he is telling the truth. Only the son of the Avatar can pull off the crazy stuff Bumi said he did when he was in the United Forces.
"See!" Bumi exclaims to Kya, the former still having a teasing smile on her face. "Y/N believes me!"
Kya shakes her head but the smile is still present. "That's because you had the past six months to brainwash them into believing whatever you say. Stop telling lies."
Bumi leans forward to his sister, his grin never fading. "It's true! I once beat an earthbender in a rock-throwing contest! I have the trophy to prove it."
Huh, I need to remind myself to ask him to show me his trophy when we get back to Republic City.
Before I can add more into the conversation, Tenzin and Jinora finally arrive to the entrance.
"All right, who's ready for an exciting tour of the Eastern Air Temple?" Tenzin asks everyone, clear enthusiasm written across his face. "We've got a lot to see today including ancient statues, ancient gardens, and the meditation hall used by ancient airbenders."
Awesome!
"That sounds really fascinating, Tenzin." I tell him, a bright smile on my face.
Ikki, on the other hand, seems less enthusiastic than I am.
"Yay. Old things."
Man, kids these days. They never appreciate some good old history and culture. God, I'm starting to sound like my parents. I wonder how they are doing back at the South Pole.
"Korra?!"
Oh, yeah, I wonder how Korra is doi-WAIT WHAT?!
I see Tenzin with wide eyes, staring at one of the entrances. I turn to look at his direction and-
-it is her.
It's Korra. It's actually her, with a bright, gigantic smile, looking more beautiful than ever.
My jaw drops to the floor in shock while the Air Kids just shout out in excitement. "Korra!"
As they all rush towards her, Pema asks the obvious question. "What are you doing here?"
Kya speaks up, asking her the second obvious question. "And how did you know where to find us?"
"Tenzin's itinerary" Korra responds, her smile ever present. "We went over it like a hundred times before we left Republic City."
Yep. I remember that too.
"See?" Tenzin tells his brother and sister. "This is why schedules are important."
I snicker at the airbender's comment. I turn back to Korra who is still smiling.
"It's so great to see you all again." she tells us, briefly engaging eye contact with me.
I can feel myself sweating a bit at her gaze. Are we cool now? I don't know.
"It's great to see you too." Tenzin responds. "But why aren't you training at the South Pole?"
Actually, now I think about it, why is Korra here?
Korra's face flashes with surprise and confusion. "Wait, you don't know about the Civil War?"
Civil War?! WHAT?!
"Civil War?! No, we don't." I tell her, my heart beginning to race.
"We've been out of touch with the outside world since we started our vacation."  Tenzin explains, though I can hear the shock in his voice.
"Tenzin's idea." Bumi remarks. "What happened?"
"So much." Korra begins. "I don't know where to start."
Tenzin doesn't care though, desiring to know what happened. "Just tell us everything!"
"Everything?" Korra asks, doubt in her voice. "Okay."
I'm sure it can't be that much. How confusing can it be-
"I opened a spirit portal at the South Pole, but then Unalaq turned out to be a bad guy and wanted to take control of the south, so I sort of started a civil war, but when I went to find some help, I was attacked by my cousins and then by a giant, dark spirit, and then I forgot who I was, and then I met the first Avatar, and then I realised I shouldn't have opened the portal in the first place, and now I need to close it again!"
...
What?
"I knew this would happen." Tenzin simply responds. But I ignore the comment. I'm still trying to unpack everything Korra said.
There's a spirit portal at the South Pole and Korra needs to close it?
Unalaq is evil? And he wanted to take control of the south?
Eska and Desna are working for him too?
Dark spirits?
And...
"The first Avatar." I start, gaining Korra's attention and she looks at me curiously. "They wouldn't happen to be called Wan, right?"
My question makes Korra gasp in shock. "Yes. How do you know about Avatar Wan?"
I'm going to tell her everything.
"A while ago I had a vision when I was asleep. Like last time when you and I were kidnapped, I couldn't remember any of it. All I remember is the name "Wan." It appears the name has some significance after all."
"Since then Y/N and I have been trying to increase our meditation sessions and deepen our research." Tenzin adds on. "But so far we've got nothing."
I hum in confirmation to Tenzin's explanation.
Wait.
WAIT!
"Oh spirits, is everyone okay?" I ask Korra, desperation completely evident. "Are my parents safe?! Are yours?! Are Mako, Bolin, Asami, and Kyuni fine too?!"
Korra's face flashes with sympathy and she raises her hands in reassurance. "Everyone is fine, Y/N. Our friends are back in Republic City. Unalaq arrested my father and yours along with a few others. He accused them of plotting to assassinate him. We managed to rescue them and they are planning on fighting back at home."
My dad was arrested? And now he's helping Tonraq fight Unalaq? Dammit. I hope he's okay. I can't imagine how mum must be feeling. I hope she's fine too.
"Korra, I need you to come with me." Tenzin tells her, his gaze hardening. "We need to discuss more about everything. I want all of the details."
Korra nods at the airbender's request. As she walks past me she briefly stops and whispers "We'll talk later." and carries on, walking away with Tenzin.
As they finally leave my vision, I take a deep breathe and release it. This is far bigger and complicated than I thought it was.
LATER
Korra's POV
I've just finished telling Tenzin everything that's happened. It's good to see everyone again, especially Y/N. I didn't realise how I much I missed my best friend until I saw them again.
But now's not the time. Now I need to focus on travelling to the Spirit World.
"So Avatar Wan imprisoned this dark spirit Vaatu in the spirit world?" Tenzin asks me, wanting reassurance that he heard everything right.
I confirm the airbender's question. "Yes, and now I think my uncle is trying to free him."
I still find all of this hard to believe. My own uncle is evil after all this time.
"I knew Unalaq was hungry for power but never realised how far he would go to to get it." Tenzin comments, looking back on all of my uncle's deeds and actions in hindsight.
Unalaq tricked me. He played me for a fool. I should have known better!
"This is all my fault." I tell him, voicing my inner thoughts aloud.
Tenzin ,though, is quick to refute me. "No, don't blame yourself. This is Unalaq's doing. Now, we must focus on setting things right before he can do any more damage."
He doesn't blame me for any of it? I really needed to hear that.
"Thank you." I simply tell him. There aren't enough words to express my gratitude.
"So you need to close the southern portal, but if Unalaq's army controls the South, how are we going to get to it?" Tenzin asks me with curiosity.
And that's where my plan comes in.
"I thought about it." I assure the airbender. "My best chance to close the portal is from the inside. I have to enter the Spirit World."
Tenzin's eyes briefly widen in surprise to my plan but harden again soon after. "A journey into the Spirit World. All my years of spiritual training have prepared me for this moment." He rises from the bench, standing tall and proud, full of confidence. "I will help you. Today, we enter the Spirit World."
Yes. We will.
A FEW MINUTES LATER
Tenzin has taken me to some meditation garden. It looks very peaceful.
"You're lucky." Tenzin remarks. "This temple is the most spiritual of all the air temples. Why, this very garden is where my father met Guru Pathik."
Woah, really? Cool!
"Wow!" I exclaim, my enthusiasm evident. "Spirit World, here we come."
Me, Tenzin, Y/N, Bumi, Kya, Jinora, Meelo, and Ikki all travelled further into the garden until eventually we were surrounded by trees and greenery. It looks beautiful.
Right now, Tenzin and I are in meditative positions, our eyes closed. I clear my mind of all my thoughts like usual. In the background I can hear Meelo playing some tune and Ikki is pouring some air into a horn of some sort. Despite all of these methods, nothing has happened so far.
Eventually, I slightly open my right eye to glance at Tenzin. "Are you in the Spirit World?" I whisper to him.
The airbender opens his left eye, a frown on his face. "I would be if Meelo could ring his bell at the appropriate intervals."
Ouch, that must have hurt.
And it looks like I was right too, as I see Meelo's saddened look. "Aww, did I do it wrong?"
Tenzin quickly rises and huffs, clearly frustrated. "Let's try something else."
As he walks away, I glance back at Meelo, feeling sorry for him. "I thought your bell ringing was just fine."
My reassurance seemed to cheer the air kid up as a massive grin forms on his face and begins ringing the bell repeatedly. Ah, Meelo. Always super hyper.
We are now at another location, candles and smoke everywhere. We are all silent.
I hear Tenzin coughing next to me. Ah, maybe we overdid it with the smoke.
"Kya, this is too much smoke." Tenzin complains to his sister. "You set it up wrong. This isn't going to work."
Geez. First Meelo, now his sister?
"I'm sorry. I did what you told me." Kya responds, attempting to defend herself.
Tenzin is having none of that, though, as he gets up and begins walking away. "Well, the moment's ruined."
Really? That was fast.
I stand up myself and start following him. "We could have tried a little longer." I tell him, but he isn't listening. Dammit.
Now Tenzin and I are at another location again. It's just the two of us trying to meditate. Hopefully this time it will work.
"Focus, Korra. Focus." Tenzin tells me, as if I'm being distracted. Seriously?
"I am focusing" I tell him.
"No talking." Tenzin quickly responds. "Feel the energy of the universe."
But I am feeling the energy though???
"Okay, I feel it." I tell him. I'm so tired of this.
"Korra, really!" Tenzin snaps at me, his frustration at his peak. "I'm trying to concentrate here! I don't think this location is going to work either."
Seriously? What is his deal?
"What's going on with you?" I ask him. I want to get to the bottom of what's bothering him. "First, you're blaming Meelo, then Kya, and now me."
Tenzin isn't listening though. "Well, nothing is feeling right to me."
I rise from my position, trying to calm him down. "I don't want to rush your feelings, but we're kind of in a hurry. How did you first get into the Spirit World? Let's try that."
There we go. A simple solution.
Surprisingly though, Tenzin's face shifts to...embarrassment? "Well...actually, I've never been into the Spirit World."
WHAT?! HE HASN'T BEEN THERE BEFORE?!
The others approach us, shocked as I am. This...this is unreal!
"You've never been into the Spirit World?" I ask him, hoping that I misheard him or something!
He doesn't reply. Dammit!
"But you used to spend days in the temple meditating." Pema says, confused by her husband's confession.
"Trying to get in." Tenzin explains. He doesn't look at any of us, instead focusing his attention on the ground. His eyes are full of shame. "It never happened. It's my greatest shortcoming as an airbender, spiritual leader, and son of Aang."
Bumi laughs in the background at all of this. "Welcome to the "I disappoint Dad" club."
Not a good time, Bumi. Not a good time.
"If you've never been to the Spirit World, how were you planning on to get Korra into it?" Kya asks her brother, clearly confused by his actions.
Actually, yeah. How was he planning on taking me to the Spirit World?
Finally, the airbender turns to us, determination replacing his shame. "I've spent years studying the techniques and theories of ancient spiritual leaders. Now that the Avatar needs me, it must be my time."
I...I'm not so sure about that. This sounds more like a false hope if I am really honest.
"Tenzin, Harmonic Convergence is almost here." I explain to him, hoping to make him realise how serious the situation is. "If Vaatu escapes from the Spirit World--"
"--You have to trust me." Tenzin interrupts. He seems to be pleading with me at this point "I can help you."
I'm sorry, Tenzin, but I don't think you can.
"There might be another way."
Kya?
We turn to Kya, who is looking at...Y/N and Jinora?
"Jinora, Y/N, is there something you want to tell Korra?" Kya asks them,.
Tell me what?
"Jinora?" Tenzin asks his sister, doubt in his tone. "She is too young and untrained to have any knowledge about spiritual matters."
I speak up to. "Yeah, Y/N hasn't got any training on spiritual stuff either."
Y/N chuckles nervously and rubs the back of their neck. "Yeah, uh, about that...we sort of have an idea on what to do."
"Yeah, I think Y/N and I know where Korra needs to go to get into the Spirit World." Jinora finishes, looking right at us.
What?! For real?!
"And how would you two know that?" Tenzin asks them, the doubt still evident.
Y/N and Jinora glance at each other for a split second, and then back to us. Then Y/N speaks up. "Our...spirit friends showed us."
Spirit friends?!
Jinora speaks up too. "It's okay, guys, you can show yourselves."
Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, multiple spirits show up all around us. They look really cute. They have the appearance of bunnies and they use their ears to fly. So adorable!
"How did you do that?!" Tenzin asks them, clear disbelief written across his face.
"Jinora!" Pema exclaims, clearly proud of her daughter.
I chuckle and cross my arms. "Looks like you're spiritual after all, Y/N."
Y/N chuckles. "I guess so."
As the bunnies go further outside, Tenzin approaches Jinora. "I know you and Y/N had a spiritual incident before but...how long have you two been able to do this?"
Jinora's face warps into confusion, clearly trying to figure out the answer to that question. "I don't know. I guess we've always kind of had a connection with spirits. Isn't that right, Y/N?"
I see Y/N chuckle again. "At this point, I'm not really surprised."
Hmm. Can they help us, though?
"Are they here to help?" I ask Jinora.
Jinora points into the direction the spirits are heading towards. "I think they want you to go down there."
Tenzin still has his doubts though. "I don't know. The spiritual energy is historically strongest near this temple."
Seriously, Tenzin?
"No offense, but I'm guessing the spirits have actually been to the Spirit World, so I'm gonna follow them." I tell him, having made my own mind up.
Bumi walks up to his brother, giving him a teasing smile. "If we ever need to go to the Tenzin world, we'll call you."
I hear Y/N snicker in the background. I smile at the scene.
LATER
Y/N'S POV
We are on Oogi, following the spirits that Jinora and I befriended. I hope they have found a way for Korra to go into the Spirit World.
Speaking of Jinora, she looks quite sad for some reason. I'll ask her about it.
"Hey, Jinora. What's up?" I ask her.
She doesn't look at me, she keeps having the same sad expression. "I think dad's mad at me."
Oh.
Kya tries to reassure the young airbender, giving her a warm smile. "Your father's not mad. His pride's just a little bruised since he isn't able to see spirits like you and Y/N."
"Yeah." Korra adds in. She glances between me and Jinora. "You two have a natural gift. That's pretty lucky."
Huh...I never saw it like that. Yeah, I guess we are.
Jinora see things differently though. "You're the lucky one. You actually got to meet the first Avatar. I know a lot about Avatars, but I don't know anything about him. Is it even a him, or is it a her?"
"It's a him, Avatar Wan." Korra quickly responds. "He was amazing. I saw how he became the first Avatar by fusing with Raava, the spirit of light."
See, all of that stuff sounds so familiar. I must have dreamt about that. Dammit, of course I forget 99% about it.
"The Avatar is part spirit?" Jinora asks aloud. Then her eyes widen like she figured something out. "Of course!" She turns to me, her eyes even wider. "It's just like the statue, Y/N!"
Oh shit, yeah! How could I have forgotten about that?!
"Yeah, you're right!" I tell her, confirming her theory.
"What statue?" Kya asks us, glancing between us.
I lean forward to get a bit closer. They need to hear this. "When we were at the Southern Air Temple, Jinora and I were drawn to this old statue. At the time we had no idea what it was about, but I guess we do now. It was Avatar Wan. Who would have thought?"
I can see Korra's eyes widen too, her mouth agape. "When did this happen, Y/N?"
"It was at the solstice, I believe." I tell her, and her eyes somehow get even bigger.
"That's the day I opened the southern portal." she announces to us all, her surprise evident.
Woah, what?! That's what that whole thing was about? It was because of Korra?!
After that bombshell of a reveal, we finally arrived. After a few minutes of walking, we made it to the place the spirits wanted to show us.
Wow.
There's some sort of ancient meditation spot here. Big rocks full of carvings on them, vines all over the place. It looks like it hasn't been touched in years.
"This is an ancient airbender meditation circle." Tenzin declares, sounding just as shocked as we are.
As I look around, I can feel a lot of spiritual energy surrounding this place. I can't describe it, I just feel it.
"This place is full of spiritual energy." I comment.
I glance at Jinora to see if she's feeling it too. She nods back as confirmation. "Yeah, there is a lot here. But it feels...strange."
I concentrate a bit harder and...yeah. It does feel strange. Something's not right.
"We'll have to perform a spiritual cleansing ceremony." Tenzin says, providing a solution to this strange feeling.
"What are you talking about?" Bumi asks the most obvious question to his brother.
Tenzin turns to the retired commander. "Dad taught it to me. This site has been neglected for many years. A cleansing ceremony will help strengthen its connection to the Spirit World."
After setting the ceremony up, Tenzin begins the process. Using the smoke from the pot, he airbends it into a ring, surrounding us. However, our spirit friends begin flying away. Suddenly, the Earth beneath us begins to shake. What's going on?!
"It's working." Tenzin notes, still continuing the process.
Then, out of nowhere, hundreds of dark spirits begin pouring out of the hole in the centre, flying right up into the sky...only to turn around and come back to us!
SHIT!
We all rush to take cover as the spirits rush past us, only to once again change their trajectory and start heading towards us. Tenzin and Korra try to stop them with their beniding, but it's no use. We all duck to avoid being hit by tem.
DAMMIT! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?!
I turn to Korra to ask her that question, but I see her getting up and walking to the centre of the circle. What is she doing?!
Then, a moment later, Korra uses her waterbending to surround the dark spirits in loops. After a few hand motions, the loops begin to glow...
Wait.
She's trying to calm them! Like what Unalaq did to that dark spirit back in the South Pole!
Then, finally, a flash of golden light blinds my vision. When it returns, the spirits are gone. They are at peace. I look around the circle, and I realise that the vines and moss that covered the large stones are fading away too. In fact, they are fading away from the entire meditation ground!
I rush up to my best friend, full of bewilderment. "Korra, that was amazing!"
Korra smiles faintly. "Thanks. Unalaq may be a horrible person, but his spirt powers are no joke."
I smile back. "Korra, you are amazing. I...I'm sorry I left you with him back at the South Pole."
I can see her eyes flashing with sympathy and she walks closer, placing both her hands on my shoulders. "No, Y/N, don't apologise. I was the one who was being a massive jerk to you. I'm the one who owes you an apology. I was just being arrogant and immature with the whole "sides" thing. I'm really sorry."
My heart aches at her words, and I pull her into a fierce hug. We stay like that for a few moments and finally let go, gazing into each other's eyes with big smiles.
"I'm sorry too, Korra." Tenzin tells her, breaking the moment we were sharing. "Unalaq taught you how to transform dark spirits. I can't even get you into the Spirit World."
Korra is quick to respond to the airbender's self deprecating comments. "Everything Unalaq taught me was to help himself. Everything you've done was meant to help me. I am so sorry for turning my back on you as my mentor. I need you now more than ever."
Tenzin's face hardens. "I will not let you down."
They both exchange a quick hug. After the sweet moment is over, Tenzin walks closer to the centre of the meditation circle. "The ancient airbenders must have built this site. If we meditate here, we'll be able to enter the Spirit World."
"Why don't you go first?" Korra gently asks him. My heart warms as I hear Korra's compassionate words. She knows this means a lot to Tenzin.
"After all these years, my father's dream for me will finally come true." the airbender declares, his hope returning.
Lets do this.
LATER
It's gotten dark. Tenzin has been meditating for who knows how long now. I don't think it's working.
Bumi decides to have some little fun and begins poking his brother with a big stick. "You in the Spirit World yet?"
"No, I am not, and stop bothering me." Tenzin immediately snaps, airbending the stick away. His hope now replaced with frustration.
Man, I hate to see Tenzin like this. He doesn't deserve this.
"It's okay, Tenzin." Kya assures him. "Maybe you weren't meant to guide Korra into the Spirit World."
"No!" Tenzin responds, denying the reality of the situation. "Just give me some time."
Kya, however, is having none of it. "Stop being so stubborn. Its not your destiny. I think Jinora and Y/N were meant to guide the Avatar."
I mean...after all the spiritual stuff Jinora and I experienced...I guess that makes sense.
The idea of his daughter going into the Spirit World is understandably displeasing to Tenzin, though. "Jinora will not enter the Spirit World! Nor will Y/N! They are not ready for the dangers of the other side, but I am. I've spent years training, studying, and mastering everything there is to know about the Spirit World."
Oh...he was looking out for me to.
"Tenzin, we're running out of time." Korra warns the airbender.
The son of Aang is not listening despite Korra's warning. "If everyone could just be quiet and let me focus."
Before anyone can speak up, Jinora walks to her father and grabs his hand, comforting him. "Aunt Kya is right. Y/N and I can guide Korra into the Spirit World. I'll be all right. Y/N will be alright. We'll be fine."
Tenzin looks back to all of us, his eyes flashing with hurt but also...acceptance.
Finally, he turns back to his daughter. "Perhaps I will never have the connection with spirits like I always wanted...like my father wanted me to have."
Jinora wraps her father into a warm hug. "It's okay, daddy."
Tenzin reciprocates the hug, a smile forming on his face. "I'm proud of you." He turns back to Korra. "Go. Close the portal. We'll wait here and keep your bodies safe till you return." He glances at me. "Look out for my daughter."
I nod at the airbenders request. He sends a smile to me, one full of gratitude. Soon after that, Jinora, Korra, and I get into our meditative positions. We clear our minds, let our thoughts flow out like a river. I can feel a pull of some sort, intensifying each second. And, in a bright flash, it is done.
Spirit World, here we are.
Hi ! the number one iroh stan has returned :) could i request a continuation to the lash iroh and kya’s daughter piece, but this time their proposal and marriage story ?
a/n: hello anon! apologies for how long it took to get to this request. i focused more on the proposal part for this piece, but if you’d like me to also write about the wedding i’d be happy to do so!
summary: Iroh has an important question to ask Kya and Katara when you return to the south
~based off of these headcanons~
Tumblr media
After spending a wonderful year residing in the Fire Nation with your boyfriend, the feeling of homesickness called you back to the South to visit your mother. Though you enjoyed your time away, you felt you’d been gone long enough. There was so much you had to tell your mother, and you were sure she was dying to hear all about your travels.
The shores of the South approach in the distance, and a shiver of excitement runs down your spine. More shivers follow, and you start to wonder if it’s your nerves or lost tolerance for the cold after spending so much time in the heat that has your body trembling.
A coat is carefully draped over your shoulders, and you smile up at the man who now stands beside you and keeps you close to his side in an attempt to share his warmth with you.
“We’ll be arriving shortly,” Iroh notes with a smile. “I’m sure your family will be happy to see you.”
“Thank you for coming with me,” you reply gratefully, “I hope I’m not pulling you away from anything important, General.”
“Escorting my beloved home is important,” he reiterates earnestly. “Besides, as your suitor it would be rude of me not to greet your family.”
“I know Gran Gran will be thrilled to see you,” you note with a fond smile, “and my mother. She hasn’t seen you since we studied under Zuko together.”
“I look forward to seeing them again,” Iroh says, a glint in his eye you don’t quite catch as you settle your gaze on the approaching Southern Water Tribe. Though you don’t know it yet, Iroh plans to do more than just reconnect with old friends during his time in the South.
And if all goes well, he’ll be able to do what he’s thought about doing since he first kissed you in front of the water fountain in the palace gardens.
~~~
The shrieks of laughter outside bring a smile to Kya’s face as she watches you run around with your younger cousins in the snow. Little Meelo sits delightedly upon your shoulders as you dodge snowballs thrown your way by Ikki and Jinora who try their hardest to catch you. Though you’ve always been the oldest, you’ve never once denied their requests to play. It’s endearing to see you so happy, to see how much you love and care for the children.
“I think she’ll make a fine mother one day,” she says offhandedly, her eyes never leaving your smiling face. “Don’t you think, Iroh?”
Though he’s caught off guard by her question, the General is full of sincerity when he replies, “Yes, I believe she will.”
“Are you taking care of my daughter? Is she happy with you?”
“I pride myself on making y/n happy,” he says earnestly. “She’s the most amazing woman I’ve ever met, and it’s been an honor courting her.”
Kya hums thoughtfully, a gentle smile on her face as she focuses her attention on you and your little cousins who have just managed to successfully tackle you to the ground. She’s missed having you home, but something tells her you won’t be staying for long.
“Kya,” he says, calling her attention back to the man beside her, “I love your daughter, and I’m certain there’s no one else I’d rather spend my life with. I came on this trip not just to pay a visit to old friends, but to ask you for your approval. I’d like your blessing to marry y/n.”
She’s silent for a moment, brows threaded together thoughtfully, and for a moment Iroh fears he’s overstepped. But a small laugh leaves her then, and when she turns to the General her eyes are glistening with tears.
“From the day she was born it was my job to make sure y/n always felt safe and loved no matter what. I knew that there’d soon be a day where I’d have to share this responsibility with someone else, and I can’t think of anyone more qualified for the job than you. If you can promise me that y/n will continue to feel loved and safe even when I’m gone, then you have my blessing to marry my daughter.”
“I promise I will treasure your daughter for as long as I live,” he professes full-heartedly. “I’m immensely grateful for your blessing.”
“Yes, but I hope you know my blessing isn’t the only one you’ll need to marry y/n,” Kya notes with a playful smile. “You still have to get the seal of approval from her grandmother and uncles.”
“And I plan to.”
~~~
“I can’t say how excited I am to see you and my granddaughter together,” Katara says as she lays the carving tools onto the table. “I only wish Aang were here to see it, too
“Thank you for your blessing and agreeing to help me with this,” Iroh replies. “I have to admit I’m not exactly sure what I’m doing, but I want to make sure I honor y/n’s culture when I propose.”
“A betrothal necklace is the perfect way to do so. I’ve provided everything you need, all you have to do is carve the stone.”
“What should I carve?”
“Something meaningful,” she says. “There’s no correct way to make a betrothal necklace, but adding a personal touch will make it more special. Is there a symbol or a memory that perhaps holds importance to you both?”
“We shared our first kiss under the crescent moon,” he murmurs thoughtfully to himself. “The stars were the brightest I’d ever seen them, and the water of the fountain almost seemed to sparkle. I professed my love to her that night, and we’ve been together ever since.”
“It sounds to me like you already know what that memory is,” Katara notes with a gentle smile. “I think a crescent moon would look beautiful on this stone.”
“Some stars on the choker would give it just the right touch,” Kya notes from the doorway, watching as her soon to be son-in-law begins carving into the stone. “But I think y/n will love it no matter what.”
“I just want it to be perfect.”
“It will be,” your mother comforts. “I have faith that everything will be just fine. You two are meant to be.”
“Aunt Kya! Gran Gran!” A voice calls out from the hallway. A breathless Jinora stands in the doorway, collapsing against its frame for support as her tired legs give out fro running for so long. “Y/n’s on her way back from the marketplace with my dad!”
“Try to see if your father can stall her for just a bit longer,” Katara advises. “The necklace isn’t quite finished yet.”
“Yes, Gran Gran,” she quips before rushing back out the door.
“We’ll keep watch for y/n until you’re done,” Kya says. “Good luck.”
The two women leave the room then, allowing Iroh a moment alone to work on the necklace.
He carves the stone into the shape of a crescent moon and places it in the center of the ribbon. Using the leftover pieces, Iroh follows Kya’s advice of crafting smaller diamond shaped stars to line the choker. It’s simple but perfect all at once, and he’s hopeful that you’ll love it all the same.
All that’s left to do now is propose.
~~~
“Iroh, it’s the middle of the night, what are we doing out here?” You question with a quiet laugh. It’s below freezing outside and your only source of light comes from the crescent moon above. Everyone in the village has long retired for the night by now, leaving just you and your boyfriend out in the cold.
“I have something I’d like to show you,” he replies with a smile, taking your hand and guiding you through the thick snow towards the water’s edge. The waves are quiet and gentle, sparkling underneath the starlight in a way that takes your breath away.
“It’s beautiful out tonight,” you sigh appreciatively. “I almost forgot how peaceful the ocean can be.”
“My grandfather used to always say that water is the element of change,” Iroh notes thoughtfully, “and the people of the Water Tribe are held together by love and community. It’s what makes you so kind, so strong and passionate. You’re unlike any woman I’ve ever met, y/n.”
“My, General, you sure do have a way with words,” you tease despite the butterflies that seem to flitter rapidly in your stomach. Though you’ve been together for a little over a year, he still manages to sweep you off your feet just as he had when you’d first started courting.
“I mean my words,” he says earnestly, gently taking your hands in his own and pulling you closer to his figure. “My time with you has been nothing short of wonderful, and I can no longer picture a life without you by my side. If you’ll have me, I’d like to dedicate the rest of my time on this earth making you happy.”
You’re stunned into silence at his words, stomach twisting in knots with excitement and anticipation. You watch as he carefully reaches into the pocket of his parka and gasp at the sight of the necklace he presents to you. It’s the most beautiful betrothal necklace you’ve ever seen, and tears begin to brim in your eyes as the meaning of this little midnight adventure starts to finally come together for you.
“Y/n, it would be an honor to have you as my wife. Will you allow me the privilege of becoming your husband?”
“Oh, Iroh, yes!” You exclaim delightedly, throwing your arms around the man and gifting him the sweetest kiss that he gladly accepts.
Tears stream down both of your faces as he holds you tightly in his embrace and savors the feeling of you. From the moment he kissed you in front of the fountain of the place gardens he knew in his heart that you were it. Bumi had brought you back to the Fire Nation, but it was fate that allowed you to fall in love with your childhood playmate. He couldn’t think of anything better than that.
“May I?” Iroh asks with a gesture to the necklace, receiving an eager nod from you as you tug down the collar of your dress to allow him to put the choker on. His movements are gentle as he carefully drapes it around your neck and clasps the ends together. It rests beautifully along your neckline and conveys the message that you are now spoken for. You love it, and you love Iroh, and you make sure to tell him so.
“I can’t wait to marry you,” he professes earnestly before once again pulling you close to his frame.
You share another kiss under the crescent moon, and in that moment life is perfect.
