I know in the new game Tanya is probably gonna betray Mileena but I will literally just ignore it. It will not exist to me. I'm much more interested in a scenario where Tanya does initially plan to kill Mileena, but grows fond of her, and ends up choosing her over Rain when the time comes to plunge the knife. I don't care that it's Mortal Kombat, I want them to be happy, and I am totally willing to chop up the plot to make it happen! Is that so bad?

haven’t posted today and I feel like shit so…

Sibling/family relations in mk is fucking depeessing

First and second timeline Kuai Liang and Bi Han, Bi han gets killed and (unwilling/unknowingly) becomes quan chis servant making them enemies, cause NRS doesn’t know how to keep characters alive. mk1 Bi han betrays Kuai Liang and Tomáš, leaving Kuai Liang with a scar and even chasing them down……. R u fcking kidding me

Second timeline Kitana and Mileena, Mileena was a clone of Kitana, that Kitana didn’t even know was made. Albeit Mileena is definitely not sane, but she always looks to Kitana as a sister, while Kitana refuse to acknowledge her (second timeline Kitana had some dick-ish moments ex. Intros with Kung Lao in MkX). Their Mk1 counterparts are actually siblings but Kitana has to watch her sister deal with Tarkat, while Mileena has to deal with it, so a bit better with some tragedy and probably more to come.

Raiden and Fujin, both gods and has a sort of sibling (I repeat SIBLING) relationship through the eons they’ve been existing. Fujin has a more keen interest to mortals than Raiden. They both have to deal with the aftermath of earthrealms champions and co. being killed, two which they saw grow up (Kung Lao and Liu Kang) then, with the dark power starting to corrupt Raiden, Fujin has to watch his brothers ultimat downfall to madness, until the whole Kronika being a bitch happens.

Kung Lao and Jin. Cousins or Uncle and nephew, depending on the game. Jin hardly knew Lao before he was killed when he was probably 5, his family ultimately went unstable, leaving him to thievery to put food on the table. Not to mention Jin probably had some pressure to be like Lao growing up. So the only person who would treat him decently for his sexuality was killed when he was a child. (That one Raiden and Kung Lao intro in mk11)

There are probably other characters I could add but I’m tired…

WHAT WE COULD HAVE IN MK11 HAD THEY NOT GONE WITH KRONIKA STUFF (ACCORDING TO ENDINGS IN MKX)

-Dark Raiden

-actual MK tournament

-new rivalry between Scorpion and Sub-Zero as the former sides with Raiden and the latter does not believe in him

-Kung Jin and Kung Lao having actual interactions and the former saving the latter

-Liu Kang and Kitana being actual rulers of the Netherrealm and remaining in that role, making us wish for their return even more

-Ferra/Torr as a kombatant and maybe a sub-boss in the game (at least how I would like it to be)

-Triborg as Sub-Zero's nemesis

-Takeda and Kung Jin's existence, discarding them entirely in MK11 was in a very bad taste

-characters' moral conflict whether to take part in agression towards Outworld remembering all the victims before

-characters like Reptile, Erron Black and Ferra/Torr having a spotlight as something more than just useless jobbers

-Shang Tsung's return via Ermac's death

-Kotal Kahn as an actual leader instead of getting tossed around by Jacqui and later everyone in actual MK11

-revenants without their masters can actually decide their destiny this time instead of being jobbers for Kronika

-and, if they really wanted to end this timeline and make a reboot, they could just make Shinnok return as a serious villain this time and awaken The One Being and have a scene where he devours pretty much everything

What type of Cards Against Humanity players would the Mortal Kombat X Kast be?

Note(s) : I have not played this game fully and I also haven't written for these characters before, this is almost definitely inaccurate and cringe, but I'm free.

Kung Jin -

Goes the dark humor route, but plays it with a complete straight face, he does laugh, but purposefully never at his own cards because he thinks it'll be 'suspicious'. It becomes a tell to see what his card is. He never picks what the person choosing would find funny, which means he usually never gets any black cards.

He will absolutely rage quit, or just try and get others to rage quit by being snarky and incredibly salty about his losing odds.

Takeda Takahashi -

He's not extremely dark humored (?) in his cards, but one of his cards made Liu Kang faint once. He typically goes to dad humor, the ones where you laugh at them but don't actually pick them.

He's never actually angry when he loses, sure, he's a bit salty especially if he finds his cards funny, but, at the end of the day, it's just a game.

Cassie Cage -

It depends on a, the black card, and b, the person choosing. She can win easily if it's her parents or Jacqui, she knows their humor, but if it's someone like Kitana she's screwed. Very 50/50 with her win chances.

She'll only get angry if Kung Jin wins, they're wlw and mlm hostility.

Jacqui Briggs -

Her cards are always hit or miss, she either puts her best card down on a prompt but someone else has a better card, or she saves her good cards until it's too late. She tends to get little to no black cards.

Never gets angry at a loss, she's pretty competitive during it, but afterwards even if she loses, she's just happy to spend time with everybody.

Kitana -

Gets confused on the point of the game, she's trying to keep her dignity and plays the less Inappropriate cards, whenever a particularly dark humor one comes along, she sneaks it back into the pile and picks a different card. She never gets black cards.

Doesn't get angry, she finds the game a bit pointless anyway.

Mileena -

The amount of horror this lady thinks of on the daily can't compare to any cards in any deck, she somehow always brings the worst one out, hardly ever wins because people are too horrified to pick her cards.

Will attempt murder if she doesn't win every round.

Johnny Cage -

Always goes the outwardly dad humor route, he rarely ever picks dark humor cards to put down unless that's all he has. Usually people can tell it's him, so he only wins if the person choosing likes him.

He says that he's only pretending to be salty as a joke, but in reality? It definitely makes him lose pride for at least one evening. Everyone can tell. And they all make fun of him.

Sonya Blade -

She plays with dry yet witty humor, ones you'd expect to see in a teen drama series or something, she's always relying on what she thinks her friends will find funny, and gets black cards regularly.

Will only rage if someone gets a black card and she finds the card genuinely unfunny, she can get over losing if she has a laugh over the card they chose, but if not, she's holding that over that person's head for years.

Kenshi Takahashi -

He's more of a judge, makes sure nobody commits murder, and makes sure nobody cheats. He can't play for obvious reasons, but he does secretly root for certain players, and may or may not excuse cheating if it means someone he doesn't like will lose.

Hanzo Hasashi -

He's silent the entire time, doesn't pick dark humor cards, and doesn't pick any funny ones, either, it's always a deadpan and scorchingly dry card, he's never won a single black card, everyone can tell it's his card, and nobody will pick his.

He's treating it more like a game of chess, and so when he loses he sort of just goes 'welp, could've been smarter.' And moves on.

Liu Kang -

He doesn't find any cards funny to be honest, and he mostly relies on how other people react to see what they find funny, as such, he has no black cards until the end, where he makes a comeback so insane everybody fully believes he cheats.

Won't rage if the comeback fails and he loses, however, he will get annoyed if Kung Jin wins. ( No but why was this man so outraged in every intro like calm tf down )

Kung Lao -

He won't be too sour if he loses, he's past the point of being insecure at every loss, but he definitely does try too hard to be funny. It makes everybody cringe. He gets at least one or two black cards on a bad day, but he plays too much into his humor rather than the person choosing.

Jackson Briggs -

Plays a lot of dry and witty type humor cards down, or ones where it's an actual answer to the card that would make sense, he's a sort of mix of Hanzo and Johnny, so he typically gets a few black cards, and wins maybe.

Doesn't get angry at all, he's just happy to be here.

*Ensures she has the entire week free to spend with you (and your family if possible). She's more than willing to bring the festivities into the palace if need be.

*So, so, excited to meet your family, especially if it's large! She will bring many gifts and is happy to help with the cooking, despite not having ANY skill... Let's not talk about the gà luộc situation... or the traumatised children...

*GUYS... Kitana in áo dài 😩🤚

*Need I say more?

*During Tết she will wear a nice, red áo dài with beautiful gold patterns. But outside of the holidays, and around the house/palace, she will wear a casual pastel blue that she definitely DID NOT steal from you :)

Mileena

*Is immediately interested in the politics of your country. When Earthrealm finally opens itself up to Outworld, she wants Edenia and Vietnam to be allies. Half to inspire peace amongst realms, half to get closer to you and your roots.

*Loves festivals, parties, and parades more than anything! They make it easy for her to escape from the royal lifestyle and simply let loose. So basically, she's down to partake in Tết with you, as long as it involves some chaos.

*She greatly appreciates how you honour your family and your ancestors, and takes this as an opportunity to share stories with you about her father.

*Is the type to try and learn your language with you, but doesn't retain much as she already has so much on her mind at all times.

*I totally see Mileena as being a sweets freak (like Stocking Anarchy levels of obsessed lol). Her favourite food during Tết is chè trôi nước 😋

*Takes notes on the practicality of the áo dài. Will request you bring her back a hot pink one. When you inform her that bold colours are mostly meant for married women, she said it doesn't matter since she plans on marrying you soon anyways ;)

*May or may not make Tết a national holiday in Edenia using her influence...

Ashrah

*Ashrah thinks the holiday is "adorable" and gets super giddy when you bring up introducing her to your family.

*You were never one to believe in Vietnamese superstition, that was until Ashrah confirmed that devils and thần trùng are very much real. Call yourself Doja Cat the way you'll Paint the Town Red with various lucky red ornaments and câu đối, you swear it's not out of fear.

*Ashrah feels accomplished as none of the rituals used to ward off evil worked on her. Even if she isn't fully purified, it means a lot to her.

*ASHRAH SPEAKS VIETNAMESE!??? yeah. Demons speak every language by default. How else would they tempt humans to the extent that they do? Suffice to say, your family is floored. They love her and shower her with attention (and food lol).

*Wears a white áo dài, as it is a pure colour and a reminder of her mission.

*Ashrah finally feels as if she is a part of a real family now. If only Sareena were there...

Li Mei

*She loves listening to stories about your culture whenever the two of you are alone, but participating in it is a bit nerve-racking to say the least.

*Li Mei is not used to this much relaxation. She doesn't have many opportunities to let her guard down, especially during such large gatherings!

*She's very tense the first half of the week, but on the fourth day she seems to loosen up a bit, smiling and playing games along with you and your fam.

*Is more than willing to help you clean the day before, as it gives her something to do. Tries to help with cooking but is confused by Earthrealm ingredients and opts out.

*Will hide behind a tree and use her magic to light up the sky with fireworks for the local children to watch.

*Being around your family and seeing how you interact with them, she knows she made the right choice pursuing you.

*Like Mileena, she loves the áo dài, as it is perfect for Kombat.

*Each year, Li Mei learns to enjoy herself more and more, and each year she can't wait for Tết to come back around.

Cassie Cage

*She's so excited that you want to share your culture with her!!!

*Her impression of Vietnam isn't the greatest, having grown up around anti-communist propaganda and war movies (average American experience), so she's grateful for the opportunity to experience Vietnamese culture for herself.

*Your parents offer up their room for the two of you to sleep in during your stay, as it was a long flight from Cali. Cassie is exhausted, but the sight of a bed brightens up her mood quick! She makes the mistake of jumping onto the bed, only to find out through the steering pain in her back that the bed was wooden! Oops...

*The moment she tries authentic phỏ, she knows she was born in the right realm (and that she married the right person).

*Sure, getting to know your family is cool and all, but she wants to explore! She becomes quick friends with one of your uncle's, using google translate to communicate. You'll wake up one morning alone in your parents' bed, only to later find out that Cassie and your Uncle went on an impromptu roadtrip to the next town over!!! Don't worry, she'll come back with lì xì and gifts for the whole family :)

*Cassie is an okay cook for the most part, so she'll help with the cooking here and there. Cassie has a high tolerance for spice, so prepare anything you like!

*She feels awkward trying on an áo dài for the first time, as she doesn't want to be disrespectful, but you reassure her that it's fine.

*Sooooo many photos!!! Her followers can't get enough of how to two of you look in your áo dài!!!!

*After you both return to Cali, Cassie feels homesick, even though she was only in Vietnam for a week. She didn't realise how empty America felt until she left it. Now, she's making plans to move countries with you :)
