Holy fuck! Listen to Sherri go after Simon Cowell about lying about forming 1D. Start at 4:20.
If someone is ever doubting if Simon Cowell, Syco, and power players in the music industry in general really do all those bad things to exert absolute and total control over artists - just consider how for 12 years, Nicole, a powerful dealmaker in her own right, had to listen to Simon receive universal praise from everyone in the media and public for being the "genius" who created 1D...and never said a word.
Sherri: You know, this is what tripped me out, Nicole...I always thought that it was Simon Cowell who birthed One Direction...until I saw released footage from X Factor of YOU creating One Direction. [applause] Did y'all know that? Nicole Scherzinger!
Nicole: It's kind of crazy, Sherri. Honestly, I never thought this footage would see the light of day. I thought Simon burned it...And it's really cool that it came out....So I'm super proud I got to play a small part, or a big part -
Sherri: Girl, you played a big part! Simon Cowell, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. You're like Suzanne de Passe with the Jackson 5, Nicole. You put together One Freaking Direction....You got balls! Girl, better stop Simon. Every time I see Simon, I'm gonna be side-eyeing him - where's Nic's commission?
On 9/24/22, I listened to a Twitter Space with Katie Waissel (former X-Factor contestant on the same season with 1D). I transcribed the whole two-hour Space. Here's what Katie said about this:
"I’m not best friends with Nicole [but we’ve both been in the same circles, in the industry a long time, talking about they both recorded at the same time with Tricky Stewart in the Dream Studio in LA and would go out to eat together]. Because if you look at previous seasons of the X Factor – the Celebrity X Factor, for example – Tricky Stewart is in Cowell’s backyard....
It’s all just part of the bigger "firm” [Syco/Simon Cowell/etc.] if you know what I mean, and everybody’s intertwined.
I’m not surprised it took a while for Nicole to speak on something like that, because it is scary to potentially rock any boats or go against what is expected of somebody. But what’s crazy is Nicole was a judge. So you’d think as a judge and employee, surely they would be somewhat exempt from that [Simon's total control]. But it goes to show that they’re not.
So the more we open these conversations in this way and somewhat normalize that so that people are less afraid to speak, myself included, that we can really really really make change."

"The only example of a Sony label contract we’ve seen was Kanye’s and he got into trouble by posting it on twitter. " What trouble did Kanye (and Rebecca and others) get into for breaking his NDAs and posting contracts on twitter? Not in jail. Didn't even pay a fine. Do you know why? Here is the answer I got from a lawyer "If the information becomes public knowledge, an NDA can no longer be enforced." Harry & Louis would not pay fines bc NDA null if covering criminal activity by record label.
Hi, anon. Just as an fyi, this is the last time i'm going to explain things to you. You clearly are being deliberately ignorant. And the examples you use and your strawman arguments aren’t fooling anyone. If you don’t want to listen to me and i you, then there is no point in having this conversation and wasting everyone's time.
You use Kanye as an example. Did you even read up on why he did what he did? Did you see that he had legal councel for every tweet he tweeted and that he posted screenshots of those too? Go read here. Why do you even think Kanye's situation is comparable to 1D's? It's not. Different bargain powers and legal councel for one. Do you even know the difference between a label/artist contract and a NDA?
Rebecca and Katie haven't broken their NDAs. Katie tweeted this today. If she had broken her NDAs she wouldn't have tweeted this. Pay attention to her hashtags;
Tumblr media
You can’t sign a non-disclosure agreement, an agreement that states you will keep secrets and stay quiet about everything forever and always, then reveal everything and go 'it's now public knowledge, so i can't be sued for it'. Is that what you're saying, anon? Because nothing about what's happened to L or H or the rest of 1D is public knowledge. You wouldn't be here in my inbox if it was! The lawyer you talked to is right, but you were asking them the wrong questions.
I've answered you before about the criminal activity thing. There is no interest on either side to take anyone to court about criminal activity, because it could potentially incriminate both parties. Remember Sony's probably got dirt on H and L too. It could tarnish their reputation and the court case could go on for years and years, practically stalling their careers. Nobody wants that.
If H and L wants to take them to court for criminal activity, they need the evidence to win in court. If they lose and break their NDAs to try to win, they can be sued for breaking their NDAs. It's a lose/lose situation. Also half the things you say are criminal aren’t. They've signed a contract willingly. Sony is holding up their end of the deal, and H and L needs to do that as well. The power is in Sony's hands here.

Little thoughts to start the year
The issue relies on the capricious criteria that on occasions fly over the fandom. The moment someone embraces a bit of Larry world, just a tiny piece of the puzzle, the doors open widely for them along with everything they bring: like that journalist who brought “MP news” (I guess some might found it “convenient” but never trustworthy). We aren't still aware of the power we hold as a group & we give ourselves in for any "evidence" when we already have everything we need and that makes us vulnerable and incoherent

Music colleges and conservatoires are deterring women and girls from playing “masculine instruments” such as drums and trumpets, a parliamentary report laying bare sexism in the music industry has revealed.
Female students are “cat-called in rehearsals”, held to a higher standard with “masculine” instruments and being told they cannot play properly if “they didn’t sit with their legs open”, the report states.
The Misogyny in Music report by parliament’s women and equalities committee found female musicians faced “endemic” discrimination in the industry which they described as a “boys’ club where sexual harassment and abuse is common”.
A series of female musicians and DJs including Annie Macmanus, Rebecca Ferguson and Katie Waissel gave evidence to the committee about discrimination and abuse they had witnessed or experienced.
Waissel, the former X Factor contestant, told the inquiry how “at the age of 16, she was grabbed by a much older man and placed on his lap in the recording studio while they were reviewing the track she was recording”.
The report found that many female performers who had been the victims of “discrimination, harassment and abuse” continued to be silenced through the widespread use of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
It said: “Women in the music industry have had their lives ruined and their careers destroyed by men who have never faced the consequences for their actions.
“People in the industry who attend award shows and parties currently do so sitting alongside sexual abusers who remain protected by the system and by colleagues.”
The report went on: “Much of the evidence we received has had to remain confidential, including commentary on television shows and household names.
“That is highly regrettable but demonstrates the extent of the use of NDAs and the culture of silence.”
The report outlined gender disparities throughout the industry. For example, less than 5 per cent of the producers or engineers on the top streamed tracks in 14 genres were female or non-binary, while of all the songwriters and composers who received a royalty in 2020, only one in six were female.
It also pointed out that the record label departments charged with finding new talent were dominated by men, concluding: “Women have significant additional barriers to pass to get a foothold in the music industry and must navigate acts of passive aggression, ridicule and misogyny to have a sustainable career.
“Female artists are routinely undervalued and undermined, endure a focus on their physical appearance in a way that men are not subjected to, and have to work far harder to get the recognition their ability merits. Despite increases in representation, discrimination and misogyny remain endemic.”
The committee also called for music colleges, conservatoires and other educational establishment “to do more to address the gendering of instruments, roles and genres.”
Its members heard that “in many cases women are discouraged from playing certain instruments at all’, with one witness saying: “There is this idea that if you’re a girl you can’t play the drums, or if you’re a girl you can’t play the trumpet really loudly because it will make you look ugly.”
The report said that the Musicians’ Union had described female students being “cat-called in rehearsals”, “made to feel uncomfortable by male lecturers” and being told “they couldn’t play their instrument properly if they didn’t sit with their legs open in orchestra rehearsals”.
Caroline Nokes, the Conservative MP who chairs the committee, said “endemic misogyny … has persisted for far too long within the music industry.”
She added: “A shift in the behaviour of men — and it is almost always men — at the heart of the music industry is the transformative change needed for talented women to quite literally have their voices heard and be both recognised and rewarded on equal terms.”

Hey mod 🌻
So I know you've gotten info from anons in the past and I was wondering if you've ever gotten anything about H's relationship with his management (Jeff, Tommy & Tom), his label or his pr company?
I'm seeing a lot of red flags from all three areas esp after doing research into the entertainment industry and listening to Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson talk about their experiences with X-Factor, Simon Cowell, Sony/Syco and just the industry in general. Like Sony has a history of mistreating their artists and Jeff was involved with Britney's residencies.
So I'm just curious if you've heard anything that sounds legit that you could share.
Thanks, love :)
Hi love :)
Yeah I've heard some stuff but idk if it's legit or not lmao like I've heard Jeff and/or Tommy (I think it's Tommy and not Tom) were sleeping with Olivia. At the very least I think they have a soft spot for her but idk if I quite believe the affair part.
I heard Jeff is very pro-stunt because he's in some deep shit (I won't say with what). So he's trying to move Harry along to keep himself afloat basically, since the stunt draws in attention and money and helps Jeff build himself up as a manager I guess. But I also heard at the same time there are some big people in the industry who think Jeff is doing a terrible job LMAO so
I ALSO heard (recently actually) that Jeff's been getting some momager tips from the Kardashians and that's partially why the past 2 years have been one big shitty episode of reality tv lmfao
Idk how true any of this ^ is but I definitely think there's some shady stuff going on. I think perhaps an element of each theory is true to some extent

hiiii Gina, what do you think about this?
https://twitter.com/kmmwkindness/status/1578175016130121728?t=zbHc06q0trSqotJDITLljw&s=19
I am honestly completely confused by it. I only just woke up but it looks like this Agathe person posted recordings of conversations with Katie Waissel (who was on X-factor) saying there’s some firm that connects all of these artists who canceled tours/a recently (despite what label they’re signed to) and they’re evil. Somehow Jeff Azoff is connected to them? And yesterday was Simon Cowell’s birthday. And the Twitter glitch yesterday was connected to it. And maybe Harry and Louis used it as a way to like certain old tweets. And this is some kind of uprising in the music industry?
I mean, yesterday was very weird. I agree. But what’s being posted on her Twitter is super confusing and TBH I’m not understanding all the connections.

Do you want to hear something funny? Katie Waissel believes Louis is a father (She was in the xfactor) . First of all who cares what she thinks? (Stan's Twitter probably) And has she read all the things about babygate like us? She knows nothing. And they create a space? to talk? about whether Louis is the father or not? whaaat? whether an artist is a father or not become the business of gp or ex-xfactor people?Since when? This makes it more clear that Louis is not a father that they are trying so hard to prove it
Oh, this is really hard to listen to. This conversation isn’t held at eye level at all.
But I’m not surprised Katie Waissel doesn’t question Louis’ paternity (why would she?). But I’m curious why this space happened at all? I don’t get it. Also it’s such a messy discussion.
Waissel obviously uses the One Direction fandom, Larries, Ziam, and Zarries for her own cause and the misunderstanding here is that these fandoms think Katie Waissel is out there for their cause. Guess you got fooled. 🤷‍♀️

I need to point out that contracts, especially UK contracts, can't actually force people into any of what you describe. Like you can't contractually obligate someone to get a tattoo. You can't contractually obligate someone to stay in the closet. The first goes against the principle of bodily autonomy. The second is explicitly forbidden by the UK equality act of 2010 title 10 which forbids discriminating clauses. It's always contracts this and contracts that but it's bologna 99% of the time that contracts could force them to do anything. Contracts aren't deals with the devil. No way you can sue someone for not getting a tattoo against their will. Like is the judge going to order him to be forced you into a tattoo shop and order you to be held down so you can be tattooed with the name of your fake ex? Or even make him pay damages for breach of contract? What damages? It makes no legal sense at all.
Anon, this is a strawman argument. No one, not the anon nor i, said any of this. Of course contracts can't force anyone to get a tattoo. But we never said that either?
What i said was that it's possible Harry only got cast bacause he said yes to stunt with O to promote the movie. Signing that contract means he has to hold up his end of the deal. Maybe he signed on for X numbers of pap walks or Y numbers of appearances, or maybe they're counting X numbers of newspaper headlines or Y number of social media engagement. Either way stunting needs to be operationalised. Maybe Harry suggested that he'd get a tattoo in order to not having to be around her (seems like he prefered this in the end...) to meet his end of his deal. No one is forcing him to get the tattoo, but the alternative might be more pap walks, kissing or dragging her kids along to sell the relationship. Maybe they were going to go down the engagement route and Harry was like nope i'd rather get the tattoo if it achieves the same goal/i meet my contractual agreements this way.
And about the contracts. I'm sorry to tell you this, but you are so wrong. Contracts can absolutely be deals with the devil. You can be mistreated and exploited for years and never ever be allowed to talk about it.
There are a multitude of different clauses. It's a jungle. Things aren’t as straight forward as you make it seem. The boys have spoken about the cleanliness clauses they had in 1D and how it made them feel. Here is an example of Harry talking about it in Better Homes and Garden. And this is the only one they've openly spoken about. Imagine the ones they are not allowed to speak about...
