#Kamen Rider Titus

Note
how did you end up with the old man fetish anyway? was it like a slow thing? or did you wake up one day with an insatiable craving for old man hole
Kinda just how I've always been? I never cared all that much for average male anime leads. I liked the Gundam boys or Fushigi Yugi boys well enough, but never got my head around what made other girls go feral for them.
And then there was Auron...
Goddamn, it broke my heart that he was a plot-mandated supporting character when I found him SO MUCH MORE COMPELLING than Titus.
I might have an earlier memory if I sit down and think about every cartoon I've ever watched, but honestly middle-aged guys are not all that common in cartoons for little girls, and I didn't have cable until middle school besides. FFX came out around when I got really into fanfiction.
I was into monster/nonhuman characters for a good while (I say 'was' as if I don't still like them, hah)--any salarianfuckers left out there? Imagin, Personas, Riders, etc.
Like, I really just didn't care for human dudes until I realized sad old men were a thing. There were games I played and enjoyed very much that were not old man-centric (FF4-9, Persona 3, Digital Devil Summoner, Legend of Dragoon) just for being good games, but I didn't fixate on characters as hard as I saw other people do until old men. Had a wild moment of "my God, is this what other girls feel like when they look at bishonen? Is this what it's like for normal people?" somewhere around Kotetsu Kaburagi.
The one exception--the only twink I've gone completely feral, sobbing in a heap and not playing it up for comedy to fit in--is Ankh from Kamen Rider OOO, the man who broke my heart so hard I couldn't keep watching Kamen Rider.

I read 156 books and graphic novels in 2023. 119 graphic novels, 37 books. 25 non-fiction, 131 fiction. 69 graphic novels, 50 graphic mangas. 15 re-reads.
Starting in March with Unbroken, I started reading a number of books about World War II. I think I had, as ever a goal to read more non-fiction and since there are so many books on the 2 World Wars, they are often the ones that I’m able to check out from the library without a super long wait list. Then Oppenheimer came out this summer so I was more intrigued and decided to read the basis for the film (which is atypical for me outside of comics). Following Unbroken I read a few spy books, Operation Mincemeat and Double Cross in May by Ben McIntyre that were super interesting.
I had previously read The Confidence Men about 2 British POWs from WWI who escaped a Turkish POW camp by (among other things) a Ouija board. I had started reading The Diary of Anne Frank/Diary of a Young Girl sometime this past year I think and finally finished it near the end of the year and Victor Frankl’s Man’s Search For Meaning in October. I started listening to The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich in November or December and read for my family’s book club The Woman Who Smashed Codes about Elizabeth Friedman and her husband who developed cryptology in the US between World War I and II and was treated pretty wretchedly by the US government for her efforts. This was in no small part due to J. Edgar Hoover, who seems to be more and more a villain every time I have the misfortune of encountering him in books and other media.
A manga series I had started last year, The Promised Neverland, I’m close to finishing (I believe there are 20 volumes, which isn’t super long for a manga series. Full Metal Alchemist is 20-something volumes if I remember correctly) and I finally finished Hikaru no Go about a teenager who accidentally finds himself competing in the Japanese game Go due to a haunted Go board in his grandfather’s attic. A web comic that my wife got me interested in, Lore Olympus, retells the story of Persephone and Hades with a combination of contemporary and antiquity culture. The comic is broken up into “seasons” and the second season was recently finished so I wanted to read up to that point while waiting for the end of the third season. Unfortunately, it was long enough ago that I had read up to the end of the first season I ended up having to start over. But this was good as there were a number of things I caught the second time through and appreciated more on a re-read.
I also read the 4th and 5th Wheel of Time books for the second time this past year, which was an interesting experience. There were a lot of things I remembered incorrectly because of the 25ish years since I read them initially. I don’t think I’m going to read the entire series all the way through again, but I might read book 6. I finished re-reading The Sandman (partly due to the release of the Netflix series) and went on a kick of other Vertigo (an imprint of DC Comics that focused on non-superhero books, more adult and more creator-controlled that is now largely if not entirely defunct) titles (the Dead Boy Detectives, Hellblazer, Swamp Thing). Don’t know where I’ll go with that. Also read a decent amount of Spider-Verse comics (mostly Spider-Gwen but one big crossover book that was sort of the culmination of the Spider-Verse storylines (I think?)) that was interesting. Spider-Gwen is a great comic that has yet to lead to the frustration I felt with the later Miles Morales books.
Nagata Kabi’s memoirs about self-esteem, her fraught relationship with her parents, alcoholism and eating problems is both interesting and very frustrating. I am very lucky to not have hardly any of her emotional, mental and health issues that are wound up together but reading her mangas it is hard not to want to shake her when she seems to recover from one life-threatening catastrophe only to work herself into another. I’m morbidly curious about her later volumes about pancreatitis.
Lastly, there were some books on Arthur and some non-fiction or books by African-American authors that I had intended to start or finish that I’m dragging my heels on. We’ll see what happens in the next year with that.

Zero possessing Leito was hilarious.
Can you imagine three Ultras sharing one host going to be like?
We already saw the Rider version in Den-O and Zi-O. Nevertheless, I was curious how Tsuburaya going to play with this concept.

Note
is it possible that reiga will be an earley bird cameo, making his first appearence in the movie but getting his own series som time later? kinda like how kamen rider does things?
Hi!
Assuming that you’re building up on the point of Reiga being an Ultra that is independent of Taiga & Co, this is a valid possibility
And TsuPro has started doing something like this only very recently starting from Geed where he was foreshadowed at the end of Ultra Zero Fight and the RB siblings which made a cameo at the end of Ultraman Orb the Chronicle
So it seems that TsuPro only does these early bird cameos at the end of spin-offs or chronicle series, tho there really isn’t a strong reason to suggest why couldn’t they do it at the end of a movie
But for Taiga, we’re in a pretty interesting situation cause the latest spin-off, UGF actually ends before the Taiga series does and that’s where it gets pretty complicated
Cause it’ll actually be very hard for you assumption to hold true in many cases, for example:
1. Reiga debuts at the end of UGF, which is actually before the final episode of Taiga
Which means that Reiga would most definitely be involved with Taiga as part of the New Gen resistance against the League of Darkness or
Reiga will still likely be involved with Taiga somehow as previously pointed out, the last ep of UGF airs just before that last episode of Taiga, and this would rationalize this fishy situation that I pointed out weeks ago
2. Reiga debuts in any spin-offs post-Taiga series
(Assuming Taiga Season 2 is not on the agenda or there is a significant gap present)
This is rather unlikely cause as pointed out last week, I said in a post that the stars of the show would be Titus and Fuma with the recent stats release for TS only strengthened that theory which I will cover in an upcoming post discussing this very implication as there’s a lot of aspects to cover for that particular topic
3. Reiga debuts in the Taiga Movie
(Regardless if there is any additional seasons and/or spin-offs of Taiga before this)
This im not so sure as this will be the first Reiwa movie and looking at what we have with unsealed Toregia (an arguable point itself) and the trinity fusion of the Tri Squad (assuming Reiga isn’t) along with Taro likely in the mix, I really don’t see any appropriate moment to insert Reiga into all of this
UNLESS
4. Reiga is teased in the post credits scene of the Taiga Movie
This circumvents the entire plot involvement issue which TsuPro has done before somewhat in the Orb Movie with ES for Ultra Fight Orb, but then we’ll have to look past all the likelihood of the lasting Taiga vs Toregia narrative that even Toregia’s own VA and TsuPro has hinted along with established precedents
But the only way to fix that issue is going for possibility #1 or #2 of my post on Reiga here:
https://thekaijudweeb.tumblr.com/post/187904629718/new-trademark-inbound
Which still goes against our assumption that forms the very basis of your question
SO
Looking at all the underlying climate with the new Reiwa Era, a (probably) lasting Taiga Saga, a (equally lasting) Taiga vs Toregia narrative, the likelihood of a continuation of the New Gen Saga, it all just comes down to what Reiga is tbh
And with all that being said, you’ll realize that you basically resolve all the issues if Reiga turns out the be the trinity fusion of the Tri Squad, which high possibility I have went in depth from different angles in my recents posts and asks regarding Reiga IF ITS EVEN A LEGIT TRADEMARK
Thanks for the question!

Lost in Space 02
Hello, Isolans! We have conducted an activity check for the month of August!
The blogs that were removed from the Isola Radiale masterlist are under the cut. Note that both blogs with broken links and deactivated accounts will be included both at the top of this list and in their proper categories.
If you were removed in error, please simply send a re-application message. Several different people work on the activity checks, so it’s possible there are mistakes! If this happens to you, you will be able to keep everything you previously had, you just may be placed in a different residence.
Our general activity rules regarding checks are as follows:
Make at least three in-character posts during a calendar month.
Only one drabble and/or meme response of 300+ words counts as activity.
One-liners or minis not tagged #isola mini also do not count.
Please Note: If you are removed during two consecutive activity checks, you will not be allowed to re-apply as that character for two calendar months.
Additionally, anyone removed during the activity check will have a 12-hour window from the time of posting to re-claim their character. Any character not reclaimed during that period will be open to the community at large.
