“It was funny watching when the whole Kamala stuff was going down,” Ziglar says in the interview. “He (Wells) had told me months before the plan, which was, Feige was like, ‘Hey, I don’t do this very often but, can you please do this to make things in line with Marvel because we have some stuff we want to do with Kamala,’ so he (Wells) was like, ‘F***, I’m the guy that drew the short straw? People are going to be very mad that I have to kill Ms. Marvel.”

No way. Everyone knew Kamala died for MCU synergy, but FEIGE himself made the decision? That's so stupid, ohmygod. Kamala being a mutant in the MCU should not affect an already established character in the comics. Besides, shoving her into the X-Men side of things isn't doing her any favors, in my opinion. Did Feige also decide to make Yelena the absolutely awful character she was in White Widow or that recent trash Guardians of the Galaxy run that had MCU synergy written all over it?

I don't understand why the Champions haven't been brought back yet, especially since both Kamala and Miles are at the height of their popularity at the moment, but instead, they're putting Kamala in NYX. I like that Kamala, Laura, and Sophie Cuckoo are together but Kamala shouldn’t be in it.

But it's also interesting that the interview mentioned this:

Generally, Marvel Comics brass have said Feige is largely hands off with the comics, such as when Marvel Senior Editor Jordan D. White told AiPT in 2022: “They always tell us, ‘We’re not looking for you to change what you’re doing to fit with what we’re doing. We want you to stay 5-10 years ahead of us because we want you to be doing fun and interesting stuff that we can do down the line.’”

Historically, that hasn't been the case 🙄 Wanda, Pietro, and Magneto say hello.

I'm sorry but people refusing to accept Kamala as an x-men is getting annoying. Especially when x-men 97 is doing so well and is the only thing Marvel stans are talking about. Why do y'all suddenly not want Kamala to be a part of the mcu's current most successful team if y'all care about her so much? Something off there. Kevin Feige is trying to push for Kamala, he is not sabotaging her character. Which other character gets a tv show then a movie the next year then the actor gets to write multiple comic book series then she gets a cartoon where she's basically the lead???!

I personally don't vibe with mutant Kamala bc I like the inhuman storylines Kamala was involved in. Most people don't even know about Kamala's interactions with the inhumans but are making a fuss about her being a mutant. And I do think the x-men can lowkey be a little annoying (Emma's little speech) but everyone frikken loves them. Marvel has not reduced her appearances. If anything, she has more appearances in comics lately.

Kamala is currently in Iman's Mutant Menace, Avengers Twilight and Miles' Spiderman, which I've read and are all great. Her appearances in this fall of Krakoa storyline or whatever is only one appearance. AND her mcu appearances have been incredible. And tbh her comic books need to learn a thing or two from her mcu counterpart bc they've handled her character so well.

Oh no you mean the boys couldn't connect with a superhero movie where there are 3 superheroes but none of them are men? And two of them are not white and one is not even Christian. Oh I am shocked. Especially when the powerful antagonist is also not white male. You don't say. And the supporting roles have men but one is black and the other is Asian and rest are muslims?! So cruel!!! And even the lab tech minions are black and brown ?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There ARE MORE CATS THAN WHITE MAN?! I am shocked? Shocked that they hate it. Must be the bad acting of Oscar winning lead and critically acclaimed directors fumbling, can't be anything else. Am sure all the reviews are unbiased. So sad.
