Being a kakushi helping out in a lot of Kyo's missions, basically a friend already... Having a big fat crush on Shinjuro. Celebrating a hard successful mission and you let it slip in a drunken haze, within earshot of Shinjuro - and then well ✨👀 Shinjuro is kinda lonely ya know... And he supposes he might want another kid ya know...
- Beer anon 🍻
Hellooooo so I got carried away again lol. Shinjuro just makes me feel some kind of way and I can't be brief about him. I hope you don't mind but I left out the wanting a kid part but the horniness is all here!
Also this is canon-divergent. Everyone is alive at the end lol (even Muzan... he's just living on a farm with me and Douma... jk... unless....)
NSFW under the cut. CW for drinking alcohol.

Dancing with the Flame
Shinjuro couldn't believe his own ears. For one, his son Kyojuro was drunk on shōchū (a very rare occurrence) which made him extremely giggly (less rare). And two, you were talking to his son about him.
"I want him, Kyojuro," you repeated, with giddy sincerity.
Perhaps he hadn't heard you correctly. The celebration was loud since Tengen was setting off fireworks like they cost nothing. It seemed the entire demon slayer corps had gathered to celebrate the defeat of the demon king: pillars, rank and file slayers, kakushi, medics, swordsmiths… the air was crackling with hope and excitement. So, he must have heard wrong, he told himself. There had to be some other explanation.
"Kyojurooo, I mean it. Your dad is so damn hot. Let me be your stepmother."
All his son could do was laugh, his face a deep pink shade.
"He's just so... burly... and... ugh, you know? Please invite him over so I can-."
"I am NOT enabling you to seduce my father!"
"Kyoooojuroooo!"
There was no denying it and it shouldn't have felt as good as it did. He'd met you on a few occasions and he'd remembered your name. You seemed to be a good friend to Kyojuro, and a capable member of his team.
But Ruka had been gone for over a decade, and since her death, Shinjuro hadn't even so much as looked at another woman. But with the demon threat eliminated once and for all, you weren't wearing your face covering, and he really saw you for the first time.
And no, noticing how pretty your eyes and your smile were didn't count. Nor did respectfully noticing the way your Kakushi uniform fit your figure nicely. Or...
His eyes widened.
Oh gods, that absolutely counted, didn't it?
"Come on... You love your little brother... I could give you more little brothers. Dozens of them. Please just one chance, Kyo-."
When Shinjuro finally chanced a glance in your direction, Kyojuro had one hand firmly clamped over your mouth while he raised his shōchū cup to his lips with the other.
A rare smile pulled at the corner of Shinjuro's lips. Being wanted felt good.
Before he had chance to talk himself out of it, he began to walk over to your table. He'd had a few to drink too and the was alcohol bolstering his confidence.
Your startled eyes as Shinjuro approached, and the way you tried to discreetly nudge Kyojuro to alert him... you were so sweet, so funny.
"Father!" Kyojuro greeted him effusively, finally removing his hand from your mouth. "I'm so happy you joined the celebration."
"Of course," Shinjuro said, sitting at an empty spot at the table. "My eldest son helped defeat Muzan. How could I miss it?"
Kyojuro beamed at him, and Shinjuro's heart swelled with pride. He hadn't always been the father his boys deserved, but he was working toward being a better man, and repairing the damage he had done.
But your eyes were fixed on Shinjuro too, and he could feel the heat of your gaze.
"Good evening to you too," he said.
Your cheeks turned a lovely shade of pink. "Good evening, Lord Rengoku."
"Shinjuro," he corrected. "Please."
Gods, your eyes were even prettier up close.
He hadn't tried to flirt with anyone for over two decades. It was a strange sort of feeling, and truth be told, though he'd faced countless demons without feeling the slightest bit nervous, this was a different beast entirely.
"Would you like to dance?" he asked, hoping you didn't hear the waver in his voice.
Your eyes widened at the question... so did Kyojuro's. The boy raised his eyebrows and quickly walked away, leaving you and Shinjuro alone.
Gods, he wasn't prepared for that.
But then you smiled and took his hand, and Shinjuro's heart quickened. Together you walked to the center of the party, where couples were gathered, dancing to the music.
He had no idea what his next move was, but you took care of that. Once you reached the dancing couples you kept walking...
"Wait... where are we going?" He asked.
"To dance." You looked up at him with those pretty eyes and gave him a slanted smile. Wherever you were leading him he couldn't resist following.
He knew the layout of the headquarters well enough to quickly figure it out, and he soon found himself treading a familiar path to the training ground and toward the equipment shed.
His heart began to pound as anticipation coiled in his belly. His breaths became heavier and less satisfying the closer you got to the shed. Your intentions were clear.
"Are you sure about this?" He asked, well aware of his higher status, his larger body, his strength, even though it was abundantly clear that you were in charge.
You led him around the back of the structure, where the moonlight pooled and he could see your hands reaching beneath your kimono and pulling down your underwear. "I'm sure, Lord Ren- Shinjuro... I want you."
"Mmh..." he tried to bite back his groan, but it broke free anyway. It had been so long since he was intimate with anyone, let alone someone new. But Gods, he wanted it. "I want you too. But... it's been a while. You'll have to forgive me if I'm a little sloppy."
You chuckled, pulling at the neckline of his kimono. "I don't care, Shinjuro, give me sloppy."
That was all he needed. He pressed his body to yours, pinning you to the wall of the equipment shed as he kissed you.
His desire, which he had long thought dwindled to ash, ignited at the touch of your lips. He kissed you deeply, his tongue stroking yours, his hands splayed across your jaw. And you were so damned eager, sucking his lower lip and tangling your fingers in his hair, sending tingling bolts of pleasure through his body. He was hard in seconds, his touch-starved body demanding more.
But before he would allow that, he was going to make you cum. Shinjuro wasn't some impatient young buck willing to rut against you for a few minutes until his aching cock was satisfied. He was going to take his damn time and make sure you both got the most out of this.
The former flame hashira got to his knees, lifting the bottom of your kimono and trailing kisses up your thighs. His big, rough hands slid from your ankles to your knees, keeping your legs together.
Your sighs of pleasure and your impatient little whimpers made his cock twitch.
"Shinjuro..."
"Patience," he whispered against the soft skin of your inner thighs. "Don't worry, I'll get you there."
The heat coming off you was intoxicating. You angled your hips toward him; so damn needy and ready. Your clit was already swollen and glistening with your arousal, and that he could not hold back from. He leaned forward, sliding his tongue over your flesh, groaning at the taste of you.
A cry escaped your lips as his tongue lapped at your clit. He wrapped his arms around your thighs, keeping them together and holding you upright as your legs trembled.
"Gods... Shinjuro..."
The desperation in your voice and the taste of your cunt made his cock throb, but as badly as he wanted to fuck you, he wouldn't let that happen until he made you cum. He licked you slowly at first, savoring the taste, drawing out your pleasure, until he felt you bearing down on his tongue, silently begging for more.
He wrapped his lips around your clit and sucked, flicking his tongue over it as you whined and tugged at his hair.
"M-more..." you whispered. "Don't stop. Don't..."
You needn't worry. There was nothing he wanted more than your complete and absolute ecstasy. He sucked and licked at your clit like it sustained him, driving you higher and higher until you cried out, almost collapsing onto him as you pulsed and quivered on his tongue. And when your orgasm subsided, he kissed it like a lover, his cock weeping tears of pre-cum, so desperate to bury himself in the wet heat of you.
"Shinjuro, please fuck me," you begged, putting your hand beneath his chin and tiling his head to face you. You were so goddamn beautiful in the moonlight. His heart was aching almost as much as his cock.
He wasn't about to deny your request. He stood up and kissed you again, melting at the soft caress of your lips as you tugged impatiently at his clothing, hitching your thigh onto his hip, coating the head of his cock in your slick nectar.
A deep, desperate groan rolled through him as your tongue slid against his, tasting yourself and moaning softly. No, there was no holding back now. He was going to fuck you. He had to fuck you.
A moment later he had you hoisted up, your legs wrapped around his waist as he pinned you to the side of the shed and slid his cock into you. The way your mouth fell open at the sensation of him filling you, the way your pussy clenched around him; it was heaven.
"Mm… Is it good?" he whispered, seeking your praise. "Am I making you feel good?"
"Yes!" You cried out in answer, raking your fingernails across his back.
"This is what you wanted, isn't it? Hm?" he growled against your ear. "You were imagining my cock deep inside your pretty cunt, weren't you?"
You nod, and a grin spreads across his face.
Tengen was still shooting off his damn fireworks, but in the silence between each shriek and explosion the night was filled with your gasping breath, your moans, the sound of flesh on flesh as he fucked you hard. You pulled aside the collar of his kimono and kissed his neck, sending sparks of pleasure through his veins.
"Mmh... Gods, I need... oh..." he was incoherent, lost in the sensation of you. His brow furrowed as he focused on his breathing, drawing from his hashira training to regain control. "Are you going to cum for me... one more time?"
"I'm close..."
"Good. Let me feel it. I wanna feel you cum all over my cock, pretty girl." He thrust into you harder, faster, letting his passion take over.
And then you cried out, your pussy pulsing around him as your lips crashed against his. "Shinjuro..."
"That's it," he whispered in your ear. Each throb of your muscles brought him closer and closer. "Oh Gods, yes, you feel so good. So good..." His teeth clenched as his own peak neared. "I'm..."
He pulled out with the intention of spilling his seed onto the ground, but a moment later you were on your knees, your lips around the tip of his cock, licking and sucking as you tugged his aching balls.
"Fuck!" He growled, his hand coming down to grip the back of your head as he came with a grunt. He had to brace himself against the shed to keep from collapsing as you swallowed down his load. "Ohhh.... fffffuck... pretty girl, that's it. Gods... that's it."
It had been so long, so damn long. So many years of denying himself, of thinking misery was the only thing he had left. But you... you made him feel good. Even if just for that moment, you made him feel like the man he thought he'd lost.
You smiled up at him as he tried to get his breath back, still bracing himself against the shed.
"You're something else," he chuckled as you grinned pressed your teeth to your bottom lip. "Something wonderful." He took your hand and helped you to your feet, pressing a kiss to each knuckle. "Thank you."
You balanced on the tips of your toes as you kissed him softly and slowly, your hand resting at the center of his chest. When he pulled back his heart was thundering, because he knew that while this was your first dance, it was by no means the last.

Mini-Review: Kakushigoto
Kakushi Goto is a weekly manga artist known for definitely-adult titles. Worried that will alienate or embarrass his daughter, he’s determined she’ll never find out and pretends to be a regular businessman in front of her. But as she grows up, this single dad struggles to keep his secret while giving Hime the best life possible.
Tumblr media
Thanks to @feychannel for recommending this to me! I wouldn’t have picked it up otherwise, because I assumed from the description that a lot of jokes would be sexual in nature.
But no, the joke of the series isn’t that Kakushi makes his living drawing dick jokes, the joke is that he’s a bundle of overthinking anxiety bouncing between “my daughter must never be embarrassed” and “my art is crap” and “if I don’t learn how to fry chicken my daughter will never enjoy life” and “my art will never meet my expectations.”
Tumblr media
(He’s very relatable if you’ve ever done any art whatsoever.)
There’s a definite wink-wink jokey feeling in the multiple bits that deal with the manga industry and artists: whether it’s attempting to use pencil sketches as the finished product because inking always takes something away, asserting that All Manga Artists are degenerates, explaining “it’s an editor’s job to make sure creators don’t get what they want” because creators given free reign will produce something with too-niche appeal, etc. Since the series was originally a manga, I’m assuming that the creator was having a great time spoofing his own job.
(Or, as a review on Anime News Network put it: “That's definitely the hook for the show. Come for the cute father-daughter bonding content, stay for [original creator] Kōji Kumeta roasting his own profession like he's tailgating.“)
Tumblr media
(Luckily for those of us not in the know abut manga-as-industry, helpful voiceover explanations are built-in to explain the jokes, but in an intentional way that just adds to the humor.)
Kakushi essentially has two lives, and the series follows both: first, his professional life as a manga artist, run out of an apartment studio where he and his 4 assistants work; second, his home life with daughter Hime, an adorable and kindhearted--though somewhat airheaded--little girl whose father, as far as she knows, is a generic businessman who leaves the house in a suit and tie every day.
Tumblr media
Kakushi is determined she have the best life, and that with the presumed death of her mother at some point in the past (we don’t get details until the final episode, but it’s clear early on that the mother is out of the picture and has been for a while), he does his best to make sure Hime gets all the normal support and events expected, even though society is set up to assume a 2-parent heteronormative household, which sometimes throws a wrench in his plans--like when he’s not allowed to take a cooking class because too many men were signing up to hit on the instructors.
And yet, Hime continues to be a happy, healthy child, and Kakushi continues to draw manga while refraining from murdering his semi-useless editor.
Tumblr media
Verdict
English dub? Yes, and the voice acting is excellent, particularly as needed to convey Kakushi’s wild games of connect-the-dots. My friend @feychannel watched the original Japanese, and said the English version did a great job matching the same tone.
Visuals: Pretty, clean lines
Worth watching? Heck yes. It’s a recent show (2020, with the dubbed episodes being completed only a few months ago) and complete (with a good, wrapped-up ending) at 12 episodes. It was extremely worth watching, very funny, with enjoyable characters. For all of Kakushi’s specific anxieties and jumping-to-conclusions about how something might affect Hime, he was a fun, smart, snarky character. Kakushi’s not alone--a lot of other characters similarly jumped to conclusions in very fun, comic ways.
There are a lot of jokes in the series, and hats off to the translation and writing team that had to make them make sense in English. The series does a good job explaining things when needed, and I never felt the need to look something up for more clarity. (At the same time, after finishing the series it was fun to read the Wikipedia page that explains how many character’s names are puns, something that just doesn’t work in English.
For example, “Kakushi Goto” is a double pun first on a word for secret (”kakushigoto”) and working as an artist (”kakushi-goto”). His daughter Hime’s name is another word for secret (”himegoto”), assistant Ami Kakei is word for cross-hatching (”kakeiami”), etc. A subtitle does explain the Goto puns in the first episode, but I forgot about that until now. Not getting those puns did not in any way lessen my enjoyment, though, since I found the show hilarious without them.
Where to watch (USA, May 2021): Funimation (sub and dub), BR/DVD

Hurriedly she ran to where Rengoku was being taken for his critical injuries to be treated — the butterfly mansion.
She felt no tiredness, neither the burning in her muscles as she ran or the scratches from bushes she cut through to shorten her pathing. Her heavy steps kicked up dirt clouds from the path as she nearly reached the front gate.
Y/n had been out on her own mission away from her usual area around the butterfly mansion as a sort of combat medic where she would treat the injured demon slayers before the kakushi arrived. Bandages and medications were stashed away in her satchel, she was sure he had arrived at the mansion already but she felt that she needed it.
Fearful thoughts raced in her head as she prayed for his safety and that he would be fine by the time she arrived. Tears burned in her eyes as she prayed to any being that he would still be breathing, that it was some sort of sick joke that he was in critical condition.
“Please Kyo, j-just hold on,” she panted out as she reached the gate with tears streaming down her warmed cheeks.
She ran in, as if on cue Tanjiro guiding her to where he was recovering.
Tears rolled down her cheeks in large droplets as she hurriedly approached his beaten form after quickly thanking Tanjiro. Falling to her knees, a sob escaped her lips as she watched his sleeping form. How much pain did he have to endure?
Her hand delicately stroked the yellow hair she adored, as she examined all the bandaged parts of his body. The way his chest would staggardly rise and drop, there was no doubt he was struggling to just breathe.
“K-Kyojuro,” her voice meek and broken as she cried into the bed.
A soft groan filled her ears as she watched him stir, hearing a pained expression and feeling a familiar hand on her head.
“D-Don’t cry N/n, I-I’m fine-e,” his voice weak and low, pain lacing every word he spoke yet there was a gentle smile on his lips.
She continued to cry, shaking her head, “H-How could I n-not cry?!” She sobbed out as her hands gently gripped onto the blanket that covered him.
A pained snicker left him joined by a quiet wince, “Y-You always w-worry too hard, b-but I’ll be f-fine. I a-asked Shinobu i-if she could p-put me under y-your care.”
A light blush tainted her cheeks on top of the blush from her crying, “I tr-trust you’ll t-take care o-of me,” his words resonating in her heart as she vigorously nodded and gently held onto his hand.
“I promise! I promise I’ll get you back and running in no time,” she spoke as she wiped away her tears, a faint smile on her lips.
“That’s my girl,” his voice soft as his eyes fluttered closed and he fell into deep sleep.
᪥᪥
Months passed as she helped him rehabilitate and heal. Every minute of it she loved in the sense that she grew even closer to him, but it always brought her sadness when she would watch him struggle. Yet Y/n admired the way he would push through obstacles and his continue on with his work ethic, hardly did he ever get frustrated with himself as he did his best.
“Good job today, Kyo!” She cheered happily as she brought over his meal and medications, “I’m so proud of the progress you’ve made.”
He smiled brightly at her, now donning an eyepatch on his left eye.
He hummed, “Mm! And it’s all thanks to you! Thank you for the meal,” he almost yelled out as the tray was set on his lap. His voice was endearing and loud as it always was.
She giggled as she heard every ‘umai’ as he ate his meal with a gentle blush on his face.
It made her heart flutter and feel full with love seeing the goofy flame hashira recover at astounding rate.
Just a few months ago, it looked like he would just barely make it and he would become a husk of the man he was. And yet, there he was. The same Kyojuro, as if nothing had happened to him. His smile was still the same, just as bright and charming. His gaze remained the same, despite his eye being hidden by an eyepatch. Everything about him was the same. The determination and devotion to his duty as a demon slayer was admirable yet she wished that he would think of himself every so often.
Recalling an interaction when he took her in for training before sending her off to do her final selection exam, she could hear his loud voice say, “You’ll do great!”
As Y/n remembered that charming smile on his face as she nervously blushed, hesitancy in her gaze as she peered onto the path surrounded by wisteria.
His touch on her shoulders was soft as his smile became gentle, “N/n, you worked so hard to get to where you are. You are as strong as the swordsmen in the upper ranks of the corps, I’ll be waiting for you, okay?”
He gently draped his haori over her shoulders, before patting her head for a final time and encouragingly pushing her onto the path, “You can do it!!”
Y/n blinked her e/c eyes slowly, as she realized…
She was in love with him.
Y/n felt her face warm, realizing she had been staring at him unknowingly before quickly ripping her gaze away from him who was distracted with his meal.
“N/n, are you okay?” He spoke concerned as he reached over to touch her forehead.
She squeaked, “Ah yeah yeah I’m okay! Don’t worry,” her voice sounding panicked but adorable.
He chuckled as he finished his meal, gulping down his medication with tea before carefully setting the tray on the wooden nightstand.
“Kyojuro, could I tell you something?” Her voice soft as she looked down, the blush on her cheeks darkening.
“Mm! Please do,” he looked at her attentively with a soft smile.
“So there’s this person..” her voice trailing.
“Is that so?” He responded curiously.
She nodded, “And I really like him.”
“That’s amazing!” He exchanged with a bright smile, “Who is it? Who is it?” he questioned curiously, “I need to know who to warn to protect you at all costs.”
A furious blush formed on her face as she got close to him before gently flicking his forehead with a soft pout, “It’s you, dummy. Kyo, I-I really like you..No, not just like...I love you! And I’m certain of it.” she looked away from his yellow ringed ruby eyes as her blush became pink, “But I don’t expect you to feel the same,” a saddened smile on her lips, “That day when you lent me your haori, I felt so at peace. Like you were there with me, encouraging me to get through any trial I encountered at the final selection.”
Y/n fiddled with her fingers as she felt her heart nearly burst from embarrassment and worry, “That’s all I wanted to say,” she looked at him with a soft smile as she braced herself for probable rejection.
He looked at her, watching her nervously play with her fingers. Kyojuro laughed, that same hearty laugh that made her heart flutter.
“What makes you think I don’t feel the same,” he spoke lovingly, “I love you too N/n! You’re the reason why I’m still here today. You’re the one that saved me and encouraged me to heal and get better,” he placed his hand over hers, “I realized that I’ve loved you since we met! One night when I had a dream about you!”
He chuckled, “You looked so beautiful in white,” he wiggled his forked eyebrows making her blush return as a dark red.
With a reddened face, she leaned in and gently kissed his cheek. As she was about to pull away, Kyojuro brought her back and kissed her lips lovingly and sweetly.
Fireworks blasted in her as her heart pounded aggressively in her chest as she felt her lips embrace his. Love evident in every crevice of his soft lips as he gently moved along with hers before pulling away, that adorable cheeky smile on his lips as a light pink dusted his cheeks.
“Well I guess that means you’re all mine now,” he spoke proudly with a smile lacing every word, “I love you N/n!” he shouted.
Y/n couldn’t help but giggle at his enthusiasm as she nodded with a gentle smile on her lips, “I love you too, Kyo.”

I guess I never posted these?? Must have still been during the time I was embarrassed about oc inserts and x canon stuff >:o
Anyway!! Azumi's would-be canon appearances in the series! Starting with the Drum House Arc, down to the Mugen Train Arc
{ Drum House, Recovery Training, and Mugen Train Arc (Here) }
{ Red Light District Arc PT. 1 }
Details under the cut!
Drum House Arc:
Azumi doesn't appear until the Kamoboko crew gets to the house with the wisteria family crest. She had gotten there shortly before them, and was in the middle of handing off her soiled clothes after a long mission when the old woman escorted them into the courtyard. Seeing another strong slayer, Inosuke dashed right for her; and being so worn out and on her last leg from her mission, Azumi was quickly taken down (much to Inosuke's disappointment, and Tanjiro's horror). Azumi was then taken away by the house members to her own recovery while the crew got started on theirs. Later on in the evening, a now more rested and conscious Azumi found the boys and more or less challenged Inosuke to another fight once they're both healed. She wasn't angry!! Shocked by the sudden attack if anything, but mostly just impressed by his beastly fighting style. She speaks with them for a bit and introduces herself before she needs to go rest again.
Recovery Training Arc:
When the crew is brought to the headquarters after the events of Natagumo, Azumi would already be there. Not currently assigned on a mission and taking the chance to visit her friend Koharu at the Butterfly mansion, she hears Zenitsu in the medical ward and comes to see what happened. She's worried, but glad to see that the two boys are okay for the most part. She does about as well as anyone trying to convince Zenitsu that he needs his medicine, but praised him for his resilience at the mountain after hearing the account from the Kakushi. Upon asking why Inosuke was so quiet and somber, and hearing how he felt he was weak for losing to the Spider Dad, she understand it was a wakeup call for his ego, but huffs at him for giving up so easily; trying to lift his spirits by somewhat harshly reminding him that he managed to cut off the demon's arm when no one before had even managed to scratch him! During the rest of the arc, she comes and goes watching Tanjiro train with total concentration breathing. When Zenitsu and Inosuke get involved, she also chimes in wanting to learn. Though she does not get a handle on it before the boys leave again for the events of Mugen Train, she promises she'd be a master by the time they see each other again.
Azumi also has a segment where she excitedly tells the boys they're going to be in good hands with Kyojuro, wherein she reveals that he is her mentor and how she found out about the slayers in the first place! After recounting her tale of joining the corps, she sends them off happily.
Mugen Train Arc:
Not present for the actual events, but Azumi would be seen in the company of her friend Mitsuri when the crow delivers news of Kyojuro's death. She's horrified, never having lost such an important person before then; unsure how how to react, she can only grab at the hole in her gut and lay a comfort-seeking hand on Mitsuri.
She would find the Kamoboko crew when they arrive back. She thanks Tanjiro and the others for being with Kyojuro in his final moments, and is pleased to hear he fought hard until the very end.

Together to be
Rengoku Kyojuro x ||Fem|| Kakushi
Part I
Part II
Once I finished my whole training as a Kakushi, I became Doctor and surgeon I got the chance to meet the Master, and heard from him how proud he was of me and grateful to Rengoku’s family. I was as well. And meanwhile you were about to be Hashira, and now you train a girl to be your new Tsuguko, that made me feel a little jealous, so I had to see it with my eye.
I was far too nervous so I wasn’t even sure if you still liked sweet potatoes. Or if she now cooks for you. What am I saying?! All right I was jealous, but it was normal you never had another girl in your life. I bought new clothes, nothing fancy just a simple white/pink Kimono and prepared you and your family a bento with tons of sweet potatoes for you. By the instant I get to entry the town I ran to Rengoku’s residence. I was too excited to see you, to see Senjuro and your father. I froze on the entrance where everything was so quiet. Then a small figure meet me at the door with a big smile. — Kumiko-san? Is that you?!—
—Senjuro, you are so big, my Gods, you look just like Kyojuro.— I reply and couldn’t help but hug him. — I missed you so much.— I was shaking and he could feel it.
— It’s been 4 years since you left, I missed you so, but my father he will be so happy to see you. Please come inside.
Senjuro took my hand and led me to your father’s room. He was in his best self but still a little bit too drunk— Father, someone very special came to visit. Father?— He was lost on his mind, even Senjuro’s voice was a little off.
— Rengoku-san, it’s Kumiko. Is so nice to see you again.— Shinjuro turn his body to face me and fix his clothes and stud up to welcome me in a hug.
Senjuro sigh relieved, he was embarrassed by the whole situation but wasn’t gonna allowed to ruin this emotional reunion.
— Kumiko, I am trilled you are here it’s been years, look at you you look just like your mother. So beautiful.— I couldn’t but hug him back. I was too emotional. Kyojuro mentioned his dad depression was too much too handle but I never thought how bad it was.
— Thank you Rengoku-san, I am happy to see you. I am sorry that took me so long to came with you. I promise for now on It wont take me that long to visit you.—
He smiled so widely made Senjuro smile too.
— Just what my ears wanted to hear, we need extra beauty around, you know some feminine presence. Hey now you are here you should marry Kyojuro and have children.— My soul left my body. I was in shock, did he just gave me his blessing?
— Father, don’t! I am sorry Kumiko. He must be very excited for your visit.— I chuckled at them a little nervous.
— It’s fine Senjuro, and thank you for your blessing Rengoku-san, but I will think about it. Oh, I brought some food to share, is it ok if I prepared a small picnic on the garden, like we used to.—
— Please do! I am gonna buy more alcohol so that we can celebrate your beautiful coming. — Senjuro’s expression went from happy to sadness, it has been rough, but I won’t let him feel that way during my visit.
— Thank you Rengoku-san, Senjuro cam you help me. The sheets are under the bento boxes. Im gonna boil some water to make some tea as well.—
As soon as I entered the house I looked for you Kyojuro. Your magnificent presence wasn’t there anymore and I didn’t want ask immediately for you. I didn’t want to seem desperate.
— Big brother should comeback anytime soon. He said he will be here by noon, it makes me happy to see you two reunited.—
How he knew I was looking for you?
— That’s so sweet of you Senjuro, even though he wasn’t coming I will be just happy to see you.—
We installed a small picnic area around the garden, back in the good old days it used to be two Sakura threes, where we took breaks from training, taking lunch with Senjuro and your father.
We talked for more over than a hour, Senjuro talked about his training and how proud he was that you were about to become a Hashira. Your father get on his best behavior joking around, making Senjuro feel a little less worried, he might seem he doesn’t care about you but everytime Senjuro called your name he smiled.
— And how is to be. Kakushi Kumiko-san?
— Well is not that bad, right now I am the leader of a team. Ad became a doctor.
— Thats amazing, I always knew from my brother that you were an excellent slayer but now a doctor, that’s something I can’t imagine, is so cool.
— Yes Kumiko, you are honoring your father’s legacy.
— Thank you, is what I was prepared for so at least I can be helpful.
We were interrupted by your high and loud laugh. My heart started to beat fast and my hands were shaking so bad that I spill my tea over my lap.
— Thats big brother, he has no idea you were coming right?
I shaked my head while trying to clean my mess.
— He’s gonna faint by see in what such a beautiful woman he let go.—
— Father don’t say those words, I am sorry again, Kumiko-san.
Poor Senjuro was so done by his father’s behavior.
— Dont worry I am excited to see Kyojuro.—
Senjuro got on his feet and went for you.
— I have a surprise for you big brother, please close your eyes.— he garbbed Kyojuro’s hand and lead him through the back of the house
—All right, better be food because I am starving—
“Kyo… you still the same cute boy.”
My mind kep my cautive for a moment, I could help but remember how small we were when we just met.
— It’s much better than that.—
— Oh my, oh my what could beat food little brother?—
I wasn’t sure how to react so I just got up, I fixed my hair and tooka deep breath.
— And there it is, surprise!— Senjuro let Kyojuro’s hand and let you open your eyes to see me.
— Hello, Kyojuro…— the world seemed to stopped.
— Kumiko, hi.— Your smile never changed.
Those were the only words we could say, we ran to hug each other. We don’t know how long was that hug, we didn’t even saw your family leave to let us have our moment.
~Kumiko POV ends.

can i request giyuu's life with his s/o after muzan dead? you can make the s/o lost her right eye too!
Aha totally still not a little bit heated abt Shinobu dying before the final battle-
▬▬▬
Warning(s) : Spoilers for the manga, some mentions of PTSD
Tumblr media
Giyuu and his S/O after the Final Battle (Headcanons)
Takes like a three day nap as soon as he can.
Tired is the only word you can use to define him for a while. He’s tired of everything but his S/O.
I’m sure they would probably stay at the Water Estate, since there’s no reason for it to be vacant now that Giyuu isn’t a Pillar anymore.
Some of the Kakushi stay to work for them after everything is over with, seeing as they deeply respect the Pillars.
Giyuu and his S/O could reject them as many times as possible, but they won’t take no for an answer. Plus they wouldn’t be intruding. The Estates all have plenty of room for them all.
Out of everything, I think he had the hardest time adjusting to the missing body parts the most. He was always very reliant on his arms and hands, and his S/O her eyes. So it comes as no surprise if the first few weeks/months are stressful with him trying to do everything for himself.
Always, ALWAYS, Giyuu gets worried about his S/O bumping into things or hurting herself without her depth perception. Even if his S/O had gotten used to it and knew how to go about only having one eye, baby still got worried for her.
You would think that they would be hermits in the middle of the woods, wouldn’t you?
No :)
Because Sanemi and Uzui are still alive, as well as the Kamaboko Squad. And you best believe they drag him and his S/O into everything.
Still not good as socialising though my baby-
Sanemi and Giyuu still get into spats, but not as bad as they used to be. They’re a lot better about tolerating or even liking each other after the Final Battle.
Giyuu’s S/O gets so much love and affection my heart-
Seeing as either one of them could have died, Giyuu appreciates the fact that he was blessed enough to have her alive and well.
Kisses kisses KISSES
Still not too big on PDA (never has been) but he likes them being on his left side so he could hold her hand and lead her around, because she can’t see on her right side.
It makes him feel like he’s protecting her.
If his S/O didn’t activate her Demon Slayer Mark then someone’s going to  be very sad when they wake up on his twenty-fifth birthday.
This isn’t angst but I’m just saying let’s hope she activated it.
They visit Urokodaki and Tanjirou’s squad a lot if they aren’t with the remaining Pillars. Giyuu likes to go and pay respects to Sabito, while they go to Tanjirou to check on them.
Mom and Dad of Tanjirou’s Squad tbh

I have seen many anime with romance / comedy with some drama. This is truly one of the best. Once again, watch season 1 if you hadn’t seen it. The story continues with Kaguya and Shirogane both trying to get an confession from each other. Despite not confessing, the show somehow managed to develop their relationship. The anime knows not to use the same battles of wits, it also shows the stories of the other members of the student council. And I died laughing too many times.

4 - Kakushigoto - Rating: 9/10 (Very highly recommended)
Tumblr media
This is a slice of life / comedy with a dash of feels anime. It follows the story Hime the daughter of Single parent dad, Kakushi. He works as the head manga artist / creator of an ecchi comedy manga series. Due to it being ecchi, he hides the fact he is a manga creator to his daughter to protect her. He goes as far as to disguise as a business man when he leaves home. He also will go through many task and extreme to ensure Hime gets to live her live normally. However When Hime grows up, she starts to learn about his father manga and another secret he has been keeping. Go a an ‘feels’ trip with this anime.
5 - Arte - Rating: 9/10 (Very highly recommended)
Tumblr media
Being an art blog, I would recommend all artist to watch this anime. It’s an historical anime about Arte, an female noble who loves drawing and painting. However, when her mother demands her to marry, she leaves her family and home in order to pursue an career as an artist.  However as most of the mentors refused to employ her due to the fact she is an women. Finally, Leo an lone Artisan accepts her. Leo doesn’t go easy on her and expects her to paint just like any other apprentice. However Arte continues to push herself in order to become a better painter. This anime shows an great inspiration for anyone to pursue a creative field.
6 - Brand New Animal (BNA) - Rating 8/10 (Highly recommended)
Tumblr media
Furry anime is getting more popular. BNA is one of them. The world is divide by human and beast men. Michiru is a raccoon dog who starts living in Anima City. But she is not just an normal beast men, she was once an human. As she tries to find a cure, she joins Shirou in helping to protect the beast men living in the city. She finds out bad things still happens and find a way to deal with them. She also finds out her lost friend is also living in the city. This anime is fun to watch and deals with modern political problems. I won’t go as far as to say it represents current issue like racism or LGBT rights. It is really more on how humans don’t like things that are different.
7 - Fruits Basket 2nd Season - Rating 8/10 (Highly recommended)
Tumblr media
This is an drama / supernatural anime. Watch season 1 if you hadn’t. Tooru continues living in the Souma residence. She meets more of the Souma family and deals with their personal issues. She also tries to find out more on the zodiac curse and comes face to face with the head of the family, Akito Souma. I like the supernatural elements more in this story. But I think they need to do more then make Tooru solve all their problems. But damn, Akito is menacing.
8 - Princess Connect! Re:Dive - Rating 7/10 (Recommended)
Tumblr media
This is an isekai anime where an man, Yuuki enters another world but has no memories. But they weren’t kidding when they say he has no memories, he doesn’t know how to talk, eat and pretty much do anything. Thankfully an elf, Kokkoro is there to help him. The two of them train and and he learns the ways of an being an adventurer. They meet Pecorine and Kyaru on their journey and creates a guild to discover various types of food and eat them. This isekai anime is quite unique in some ways, it’s also quite funny. Recommend for those who like isekai anime.
9 - Sing "Yesterday" for Me - Rating 7/10 (Recommended)
Tumblr media
This is a love triangle / square anime concerning two man and two women. It would take too long to describe who loves who so please visit the link in the title. All I can say I really liked Haru. Like most people who watched this anime, I was a little disappointed in the ending. It felt mostly rushed. But the rest of the story is fine.
10 - Gleipnir - Rating 7/10 (Recommended)
Tumblr media
This is an Mystery /Supernatural anime with violence and some ecchi. Shuuichi is an high school student and sometimes he turns into a monster. HE finds out more of this after being blackmailed by Clair who had took a photo of him. Clair ask him to help her find her sister who can also turn into an monster. They unravel the mystery to find out an alien is giving people abilities if they found one of his coins. But that’s just the beginning. Not a big fan of anime with strong violence and fight scenes but this is different. It has a good story and and good twist.
Other anime I have watch this season.
The 8th son? Are you kidding me? -  Rating 6/10 (Slightly recommended)
This is an isekai anime where he was born to an nobel family but was unlucky to be the 8th son. Meaning he the 8 in line to take over his family land. But he has magic so, things work out in other ways. The anime is unique in some ways. it show polictical and family status issues on top of the usual isekai tropes.
Tamayomi - Rating 6/10 (Slightly recommended)
Moe anime on a all girls baseball team. Not really into sports anime. but this one doesn’t have as much ecchi as other girls sport anime usually has. So it’s pretty okay. the sports scenes has the usual tropes.
Shachou, Battle no Jikan Desu! -  Rating 6/10 (Slightly recommended)
This is an isekai anime where instead of forming guilds, they form companies to hire adventures and send them out to get crystals and sell them. So it is a little unique for that. Some tropes still happens but it’s still watchable.
Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 - Rating 5/10 (Average)
So the animation was bad for some of the scenes, especially the fighting scenes which is what makes GITS great. Without that you just have the story which seem interesting. But I am just 50/50 on the whole thing so for now, it’s just average.

Final Thoughts - Kakushigoto
Tumblr media
Kakushigoto is a sweet, very funny show about a father keeping a secret from his daughter and the sitcom antics that come as a result.
I had a lot to say about this show before I watched the final episode, but that threw me off to such a degree that I’m struggling to remember a lot of it. See, Kakushigoto has an overarching plot that takes up a few minutes at the end of each episode, of a flash-forward to seven years into the future and the daughter (Hime) investigating an old house that looks incredibly similar to the one where she grew up in the city, with a lot of heavy implications that something awful happened to her dad in the time skip. Put a pin in that.
Each episode of Kakushigoto tells a mostly self-contained sitcom story with artful animation that looks a bit like Studio Shaft’s work. The comedic timing is excellent and, joke for joke, easily matches Princess Connect or My Next Life as a Villainess this season while looking a bit more visually distinct than either of them, and I’m giving this show a very dry explanation for a very good comedy because honestly the tone of that final episode messed with my head.
Spoilers ahead, everybody.
The final episode of Kakushigoto transitions fully to the “present-day” storyline, where in the course of one episode we learn that Kakushi (the dad) has a younger sister with a kid, who goes to meet eighteen-year-old HIme at the old house, and also that Kakushi didn’t die but was in a coma for the past year after getting crushed under an avalanche of manga magazines, and has suddenly regained consciousness, but also he doesn’t remember the past seven years and doesn’t believe that Hime is herself because he thinks she should still be ten. This leads her to venture back to her house in the city to find all of the manuscripts Kakushi had written for his manga in those seven years, and apparently that’s all it takes to bring him back to the present along with a voiceover montage, and the family is reunited, and that’s the end of the series. Oh, and there’s a bunch of jokes and a scene of Kaku and his assistants reunited because he wants to draw manga in his hospital room since he can only reliably move his hands at the moment.
It’s a lot to cram into one final episode, and honestly if this had just gotten one more to spread this story into a two-parter, I feel like it could have landed so much harder without the tonal whiplash and very abrupt story twists. It’s bound to be rather polarizing, but it left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth in comparison to the preceding episodes, and was a pretty anticlimactic resolution to a mystery that the show had been setting up the entire time, which is a shame, because it brought this show down an entire point from what it would have gotten if it had just landed more evenly.
7/10.

Kakushigoto - Review
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love Hime-chan and Goto Sensei so so so so much TT
About: Kakushigoto follows the life of a mangaka Kakushi Goto, he has a little girl called Hime. He believes his job would be a disappointment for his daughter so he hides it and makes her believe he is a salaryman. This paranoia-induced belief leads Kakushi into hectic situations. Despite being a single father, he does his best and often resorts to extreme ends just to protect his secret, including holding emergency drills in case Hime somehow finds her way to his workplace. Is the story of a father and daughter living side by side, maintaining their peaceful existence as the father attempts to preserve the status quo. However, there is a saying: "there are no secrets that time cannot reveal." In time, Hime must learn the reality behind the things she took for granted as she grew up.
Thoughts: Definitely one of my favorite of this season and probably one of my favorite for this year. I enjoyed it from beginning to end, I laughed so much, and constantly felt tense and sad during every last scene of each ep. Goto sensei was an extraordinary unique character his love for his daughter lead him to do a lot of ridiculous stuff just so she can still look up for him. Hime is the perfect girl, so sweet and peaceful and she definitely wouldn’t mind his dad job specially since she likes art too. Their interactions where so beautiful and funny it got me smiling a lot. Goto sensei assistant where also really funny each of them unique, so loyals and attached to their work position for the mangas, I laughed a lot with them.
Animation was really good, it was kind of weird, during past scenes (wich is most of the anime) everything seems more relaxed you can tell that times where easier back then, but for present scenes animation changes into a more detail and deep one giving a more serious vibe that got you all worry since you don’t know what happened until the last ep. I adore the music, seriously, and the sound we’re great the voice actors did a good job. The opening and ending were indeed the best, I couldn’t stop myself from singing, they are definitely going to be on my list of OP and ED for this years resolution ^^
My final score for this one is a goo 9/10, it’s great and funny story with lovable characters that is definitely worth watching.

A “Kakushigoto” Review
Kakushigoto can be splained like that: A mangaka that makes a living out of drawing and publishing a kinda perverted and dirty-minded manga tries to hide his actual job while still be the best possible dad for his young daughter
Tumblr media
Plot:
The story revolves around the Mangaka and father Kakushi Goto, his daughter Hime, and their everyday lives. Kakushi, or “Gotou-sensei” as his employees call him, is a famous Mangaka of a Manga that is known for its more perverted and dirty plot. or at least that is what you hear all the time. Ashamed of what his daughter might think of him if she ever realized what type of job he has, he tries to keep that a secret from her. He succeeds every time anew but still tries every day to be the best father he can possibly be for his little girl, who, as he thinks, deserves just the best.
I actually fell in love with this series even if it isn’t that much of a plot filled anime. At first the totally dreamy look and the slice of life setting make it seem like a classic slice of life anime. BUT that is just a small part of the truth.
the first moment you start watching this anime they already show you that the story of this anime is partly told in a different perspective and time.
Somewhere in the future!
That immediately shows you that something happened but you don’t know what and why. and that is honestly not the only thing that catches my eye every time.
even the opening plays with details that are pretty important (I think) and even might reveal something that could be really important later but I don’t want to say too much and just show you one specific scene from the opening.
Tumblr media
Perhaps you can see the symbolistic play with the details here that represent the characters, but even if not I’d like you to look at this picture for a while.
you slowly learn more and more about the Characters and about their Past. Especially the Dad' past and what fate he had. most interestingly is, in my opinion, that this Anime manages to be entertaining but still make it feel like you watched two episodes once in a while.
this Anime gets a
8/10
It is what it wants to be and it succeeds really good at delivering. The genre overall is not everyone's beer but I’d like you to give it a chance.
Hope you liked it.
And watch out that your secrets don’t DRAW to much attention.

Kakushigoto
Tumblr media
The anime has recently finished and I’ve just watched the last episode today. I’m gonna miss watching this show every week but everything has an end. For now, here are my thoughts!
Story:
Kakushigoto is about a guy named, well, Goto Kakushi (yes, everyone’s name is a pun). He’s a single dad who is trying to raise his grade school-aged daughter, Hime. To little Hime, her dad is some businessman who goes to work everyday but unknown to her, her dad’s real job is a manga artist - a manga with lots of dirty jokes. Embarrassed by this and fearing his daughter would lose respect for him if she knew the kind of stories he creates, Goto Kakushi hides the truth from her and would do it at all cost.
Meanwhile, in the present day, the now eighteen year old Hime is about to find out the truth about her dad.
Characters:
Tumblr media
Goto Kakushi - a manga artist whose work is pretty popular although is filled with dirty jokes. He wants to keep his real job a secret to his daughter and would go through ridiculous lengths to make sure it stays a secret. He’s overprotective and this causes him to imagine scenarios that makes him worry more.
Tumblr media
Goto Hime - Kakushi’s only child. She’s kind and innocent and so she easily accepts the things her dad tells her which makes hiding the whole manga thing easy. She can be quite mature when thinking about others and wanting to help but is still a kid so she often misunderstands a lot of things, too. When she became eighteen years old, she was given the key to where she could find the truth about her dad.
Thoughts:
The anime mostly focuses on the slice-of-life comedy everyday happenings in the Goto family home, school, and work. While the majority of the scenes are for these things that has happened in the past, we also get a glimpse of the present time where the now eighteen year old Hime is trying to figure out her father’s secret and these scenes are either on the beginning or ending of the episodes.
Much of the show is comedy, as expected of the same guy who created “Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei” but there are also some drama inserted in it that stems from the Goto parents - Hime’s mom whose nowhere to be seen and her dad’s current status in the present. The best part about this series for me is that when they put the drama in it, it fits in the story even if it’s in the middle or close to funny scenes that they don’t feel out of place like dialogue hinting at sad things coming up naturally in the conversations that it just hits you by surprise but it never felt forced.
The mystery about what’s happening in the present time is also interesting and had me hooked and wondering what it’s about. I enjoy the entire slice-of-life episode while being excited about 18 yo Hime’s discovery and the stuff revealed by the other cast on the present scenes.
The OP and ED are catchy and sounds really good. I really love the OP the most since it sounds both happy and somehow sad for some reason.
The ending: (spoilers ahead!)
Okay, so here are my thoughts on the ending.
I like how there are clues sprinkled in the series about what might have happened to the Goto parents in the past and the present. It made me wonder and also worry a lot cause it really seemed like something really bad happened to our main character because he’s not there with Hime when she finally finds out the truth. But while the OP mostly shows Kakushi and little Hime, the ED shows 18 yo Hime meeting with her dad (their dog, Roku, is there, too and is now bigger) so with that, I wasn’t too worried and knows he’s probably not dead yet. Haha
The reveal was nice and I teared up at the last episode. However, there are things that didn’t make sense for the ending. The boxes is the biggest one for me. Hime has several boxes left by her mother inside the closet of their home with each one numbered and are for her to use when she comes of the age labeled in the boxes. This lead me and some viewers to believe she might have been terminally ill as she had prepared all these things for Hime to use in the future when she’s gone - at least, that’s what it seemed like. It makes no sense why she’d leave these if she wasn’t going anywhere as she could’ve given these to her child at any time later. The truth about her disappearance is that she was lost at sea but she couldn’t have known that it’d happen so what’s with the boxes?
Then we later find out Kakushi left a few more boxes for her hidden in the old home - the house which the key Hime received at 18 is for. Why would he suddenly leave these and at that house? He got in an accident that left him in a coma but he couldn’t have known it’d happen so why the boxes? Also why at the old house he was keeping a secret? It’s really strange as they don’t seem to fit in the entire story when put together with the ending.
That said, I still liked the entire series and the ending is still very heartwarming. Even with the things that don’t make sense, it doesn’t really ruin everything as it’s still funny and touching. I’m glad I was able to watch this.

A Murder of One
Tumblr media
Chapter:
21
Summary:
Akiko can see ghosts
Previous Chapter | Origin | Next Chapter
The first time Akiko saw a ghost was with the Kamado family.
It was only for a day, and he didn’t say anything.
All he did was stand behind Tanjirou, and kept his eyes on Akiko.
“Tanjuro-san,” Akiko tugs on his haori with her small hands, cheeks still round and wide with innocence. He smiles down at the girl, having taken some time to stand for the day so that he could move himself to the front entrance of the house.
“Hm?” He wonders, and with her hand still clutched to the hem of his haori, she points to Tanjirou, who helps Nezuko and his mother with the laundry.
“Over there,” she says, eyes unblinking. “There’s a stranger with Tanjirou.”
Tanjuro laughs, setting a hand on Akiko’s head and ruffling her hair.
“Perhaps it’s just the spirit of the mountain guiding Tanjirou. No need to be afraid.”
So Akiko thinks nothing of it, nodding her head and rushing over to Tanjirou to help with the laundry. When the man moves his attention to Akiko, she smiles and waves her hand at him.
He blinks, perhaps in shock, but almost as soon as it appeared on his face, his usual stoic mask falls into place. He offers Akiko a nod, and she giddily returns back to the task at hand.
“Were you waving at a bird, Akiko?” Tanjirou asks, reaching up to hang a sheet.
Akiko sings to herself, off pitch and horrid, but she’s happy. Tanjirou pouts when Akiko holds a finger to her lips.
“Secret!”
She sees the ghost till near night fall deep in the woods, where all of the younger siblings beg to stay outside a little longer to play.
Tanjirou gives up, sighing and nodding his head per their request and everyone cheers. But when he looks over to Akiko, he finds that her face is troubled.
“Hm? What’s wrong?”
The man behind Tanjirou is shaking his head, and he points in the direction out of the woods and to the house.
“I think… we should go home…” Akiko mutters under her breath. Takeo’s jaw drops and he starts to complain loudly, and even Nezuko looks disheartened with Akiko’s sudden objection to continue playing.
“Mmmm… I think Akiko’s right! We can play with dad back home, right? It’s getting too dark for us to see anyway, right? What if we get lost on our way back?” Tanjirou slips his hand into Akiko’s, and the tension in her shoulders relax ever so slightly.
He can smell the fear off of Akiko, and though she’s been avoiding his gaze and looking over his head the whole day, Tanjirou decides not to think much of it and trusts that Akiko will be back to normal the next day.
He scolds Takeo when he decides to pout on the way home, but Nezuko talks excitedly with a couple oranges in her kimono to present Kie and Tanjuro with. She and Akiko swing their arms between each other, hands interlocked as they laugh all the way home.
Two days later, Akiko has to go back to the main estate down the mountain. Upon entering the village, she hears rumors that makes her feel glad that everyone got out of the woods before it was completely dark. Apparently, hunters in the mountains were torn to shreds by wolves.
Or, that was the story.
Looking back on it now, it was probably a demon.
And right now, seeing the ghost by Tanjirou’s bedside isn’t a good sign.
It’s been a few days since she’s returned from Tokyo, and patients haven’t arrived for a while so Akiko has been tending to Haruki for the time being. With the new technology she’s received, she knows that his brainwaves are faint, but they’re there.
At any rate, Akiko doesn’t know what to do when she sees the ghost by Tanjirou’s bedside.
Now that she’s grown up, she can see his face much more clearly now. Actually, there are two men. She assumes that it’s because her eyes have evolved to something inhuman, but with the way she works she can only be thankful.
One of the men’s hair is long, tied up into a ponytail. There’s a scar similar to Tanjirou’s on his forehead, though the ghost has a larger scar shaped like flames. His eyes are uninterested, sure, but they hold a certain warmth that brings Akiko at ease. There’s a katana at his waist, and Akiko assumes that he’s a passed away demon slayer.
The other man has long hair as well, but not as long as the one with a katana by his side. Instead, he looks much more like Tanjirou, just grown up. He doesn’t have a katana, and Akiko only grows curious to the relation he has with Tanjirou and the other demon slayer.
She watches as the one without the forehead scar places a hand atop Tanjirou’s forehead, and when she steps into the room he looks up at her before smiling. He probably already knew she was nearby and only looked up to acknowledge her presence.
“You’re back,” she states matter of factly. The man with the scarred forehead bows his head to Akiko.
“If you’re going to take him away I won’t let you,” her tone of voice doesn’t waver. She walks up to Tanjirou’s bedside, leaving the usual glass of water and changing out his vase of flowers for the week.
The man that looks like Tanjirou laughs, but no noise comes from his mouth. With his other hand, he waves it around as if to say “we won’t,” and Akiko shrugs her shoulders.
“I just have to make sure. Tanjirou is important to me. If you take him away…” despite her eyes gleaming bright like the sun, the man places a hand above his katana at the sight of Akiko’s poisonous look.
Not like he can do anything anyway.
Akiko sighs to herself, opening the window to pour the remaining water out of the vase and allowing fresh air to breeze in. She can only think that the men being here is a good sign.
Mountain spirits, right?
“Akiko?” Zenitsu’s voice brings her attention away from the two ghosts and she rolls her eyes at the blonde.
“Did you get another splinter?”
“How rude!! ...Yeah.”
“Deal with it yourself. If I touch it I might make it worse.”
“AkikO PLeaSe!!!” He begins to cry, throwing himself at her feet and begging Akiko to help him with his small splinter.
She rolls her eyes, hoisting him up and tugging on his ear as she walks out of the room. When Akiko looks back, she sees that the two ghosts are gone, and she purses her lips, hoping that they won’t do anything extreme to her fiance.
Zenitsu looks at her with worry, clutching his ‘injured’ hand, “By the way, I heard you talking… Who to?”
Akiko looks down at his dragged form, an eerie smile on her face as she creakily sings, “Oh y’know… Ghosts.”
---
Akiko sees the castella before she sees Goto.
It’s been two weeks since the ghost incident, and nothing has happened to Tanjirou. His vitals remain unchanged, but ever since Akiko has received the brainwave machine, she’s been able to pick up on brainwaves as well.
Tanjirou’s would act up every once in a while, but only during his sudden bouts of fever, so she has to assume that the fever is making him go haywire. But the past few days have been peaceful, and Akiko is finally at peace knowing that Tanjirou will be alright.
She smiles and Goto lazily waves a hand at the doctor before she comes running up, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she asks, “For me?”
Goto scoffs at her uncanny antics before pulling the tray away.
“No,” he rolls his eyes, “They’re for your fiance.”
Akiko blinks owlishly, “He’s awake?”
Goto shakes his head and Akiko’s chest feels heavier, her shoulders sagging under the weight. But she shakes it off quickly and tries her best to smile at him instead.
“Well, I thought that since his nose is super human he might be able to smell the castella, and then maybe he would wake up?”
“Goto you’re… You’re a real work of art, I’ll give you that.”
Goto bumps his hip against her and she kicks at his leg in an attempt to trip him, but Goto wouldn’t have it any other way.
The two catch up with what’s been going around in the past few months, exchanging stories and whatnot of the Pillars and what they’ve been doing recently.
Akiko learns that Miyuki has been spending more time with Sanemi, though it’s more like they’re spending time yelling and teasing each other at nearby restaurants (and eventually getting kicked out of them).
Chiyo has been travelling with her baby sister (who is no longer sick, which is a relief) and has bumped into Giyuu a few times. Surprisingly, Giyuu is good with Ayame. Any other baby or animal and he’s screamed and bitten at though, and Akiko chuckles at the news.
Genya and Himejima have been training hard and Genya is set to go to the swordsmith village to fix his guns again. Akiko raises her brows at Goto, and he sighs at the fact that he now has to run over to Genya and remind him of his monthly check up with Akiko.
Iguro is being a pain in the ass as always and Mitsuri has been enjoying her time in Hokkaido eating their apples. Uzui is at home resting with his wives and Goto just recently helped to ship a box of jewels to his mansion, so Akiko has to assume that he plans on being as flamboyant as ever.
When Goto asks about Shinobu, Akiko can’t help but purse her lips. But she’s quick to smile, explaining how Shinobu has been working as hard as ever and telling Goto to thank the other kakushis for regularly shipping packages to the Butterfly Estate.
Akiko squints her eyes at the broken porcelain pieces in front of the hospital ward’s doorway.
The words “Clean this shit up,” seem to write themselves on Goto’s face and Akiko can tell that her face must hold the same words.
She sighs as she leans down to pick up the broken pieces, and Goto steps forward.
“Uhhh, I brought some castella over. So please clear the way so I can put it down. If it looks spoiled, just go ahead and eat it.”
“Th… Thank you so much…”
At the sound of her fiance’s broken voice, Akiko’s head whips up and her eyes are wide with disbelief.
Her eyes are so fucking damned that they didn’t notice his concious state.
“Are you fucking kidding me,” Akiko whispers to herself as Goto screams at Kanao, then promptly trips over Akiko’s still bent over body in his appempt to rush out of the room.
Akiko pulls her own chair up besides Tanjirou’s bedside and she smiles widely, unwrapping the stethoscope around her neck and adjusting it to fit it into her ears.
“Kanao, please step out of the room. And make sure no one walks in until I say so,” she smiles at the girl, who nods her head eagerly.
The screaming and crying out in the hallway, but at least it’s as quiet as it can get now. Akiko proceeds to do a general check up on Tanjirou’s body, and he watches with tired eyes as she does her job.
“Did you miss me?” Tanjirou laughs weakly once Akiko’s finished, and she carefully takes her hand into his own.
Akiko scoffs, wiping the tears in Tanjirou’s eyes away before replying, “Of course I missed you. Two months without you was a bit too much.”
She’s beckoned closer and now it’s Tanjirou’s turn to wipe her tears away, though small and sparse. Still, it warms Tanjirou’s heart to find that Akiko missed him during her time alone (though she won’t admit it.)
“It wasn’t too hard for you, was it? I thought I heard some things, but I might have been wrong.”
She shakes her head, cradling his palm against her cheek and sighing in bliss.
“It was rocky, but now you’re here so I’m better. You’ve missed out on a lot. I’ll fill you in when you’re all better,” she kisses his palm and Tanjirou laughs at the feeling.
When Akiko moves her head to his mattress, tilting it to stare at his face and asking him to run his fingers through her hair, Tanjirou can’t help but cast her a worried look.
“Are you okay? You seem a little off, Akiko.”
“I can stop if you don’t want me to touch you.”
“There’s my wife,” he laughs again, and she bolts upright with a fierce blush raging on her face. Akiko mutters a quick, “Fiance,” under her breath to correct him, but Tanjirou begs for her to rest her head again.
So she does as told, though much more hesitant now, and the two relish in silence together. The commotion outside has died down and Akiko assumes that Aoi waved everyone off for she and Tanjirou to have their alone time.
Tanjirou waits for Akiko to spill her feelings, and he can smell the turning of gears in her head as she tries to form sentences. He doesn’t mind waiting though. She’ll be able to talk in due time, and that’s a much better step up from when she wouldn’t say anything at all.
Akiko reaches up, grasping the fingers that are tangled in her hair and bringing them down to slowly peck. He gazes at her with all the warmth in the world, and he thinks of how he can get used to this special treatment.
But when Akiko starts, it’s a much heavier topic than one he thought he was prepared for.
“I’m not sure if you heard me while you were in your coma, but I hate how we’re fighting a war as children. We’ve gone through more than the average person our age has gone through, and our enemies have nothing to lose whereas we have everything to lose.” She’s crying now and the two both hate to see the tears.
Akiko moves to hide her crying face, but Tanjirou helps her lift her face so that the two can at least meet in the middle.
“Please, for just one day can we forget who we are with the only information being that we love each other?”

Kakushigoto – 07 – What They Grow Beyond
Tumblr media
Hime voices interest in a puppy, and researches a bunch to prepare, she comes across the “ten commandments of dog ownership”, one of which is to spend as much time as possible with your dog, as chances are they’ll only live ten years. Having any lifetime put in such stark terms is particularly upsetting to Kakushi, who later equates it to the life of a manga artist.
Tumblr media
Kakushi comes around to having a dog when he learns through Ichiko how having one will help an only child feel less lonely (though Ichiko is not an only child), just as Hime learns from some mothers in an alley that they (i.e. what she and Kakushi don’t have) are necessary to properly care for a dog. If they knew Hime’s situation they probably wouldn’t have said that within earshot. Meanwhile, the original litter of puppies all found homes, but Kakushi’s father-in-law produces one for Kakushi to present to Hime.
Tumblr media
It’s not just any dog, but the descendent of the dog Hime’s mother had (and the subject of her father’s painting, which one of Kakushi’s assistants find at the ocean house). While the moms discouraged Hime a bit, the sight of the new puppy erases those doubts, and she vows to sleep beside the puppy on its first night home (though later ends up kind of between her dad and the puppy).
Tumblr media
Kakushi’s father isn’t done with anonymous gifts for Hime: Kakushi comes home to find a baby grand piano has been delivered. Like the dog with the long and distinguished lineage, the piano is a kind of inheritance. That gets Kakushi and the assistants thinking about how assistants inherit some of their masters’ style, but because they end up doing most of the physical work, it’s more of a new synthesis. Similarly, as master age their skills often wane while their apprentices rise.
Tumblr media
In the midst of all this talk of lineage, and inheritance in the present, some new clues are presented in the obligatory flash forward. Hime’s classmates tailed her to the seaside house, continuing their detective club from school, but also because they’re worried about her. Then Ichiko appears, shockingly not in a tracksuit, bearing “good news and bad news.”
This got me thinking: perhaps Kakushi isn’t dead yet in this timeline? Maybe he’s just ill, bedridden, and possibly near the end. Maybe during this time he told Hime about the house, finally revealing the hidden thing he’d kept hidden so long even at 18 she had no idea what he did for a living. And maybe the good and bad news relate to his present condition. Or maybe not.
In any case, the consistent trickle of future information is starting to create a conflict: While I’ve enjoyed the present-day adventures of Kakushi, Hime & Co. (and the ensuing comedy), I’m beginning to care more about these more drama-oriented future events. There are essentially two shows here running in parallel, with the future one by far getting the short end of the stick runtime-wise. We’ll see whether and how the show manages to bridge these two times.

Kyoujuro and my OC, Ichika, have six children.
Sanjuro is a splitting image of his father, right now to the personality. He's the first born and oldest child and takes his responsibilities very seriously. He's kind at heart and almost always has a grin on his face. He is also his father's tsugoku, wanting to follow in his footsteps. But he's also the biggest mama's boy and always want to be up under Ichika.
Tsukimi is the second child and the oldest daughter. She has her father's blond hair and her mother's blue eyes, but they have a ring of gold around them. She has a mixture of her fathers jubilant personality and her mother's quiet nature. She enjoys flower arrangements and fighting demons. She wanted to be her father's tsugoku, but settled for being Mitsuri's instead since they had a lot more in common as she also has a heightened sense of flexibility.
Mitsuko and Akijuro is their middle daughter and son, the twins. They look almost identical to their father save for their red and gold eyes fade into blue in the middle. Mitsuko has her dad's personality always smiling and just a bit mischievous. She constantly gets into trouble and drags her brother wither. She loves to argue with Sanemi as he's her mentor and she's his tsugoku.
Akijuro is quiet like his mother. He enjoys being with his oldest sister when she's doing her flower arrangements and took up learning about pottery making. He is also Obanai's tsugoku.
Rin is the perfect mixture of t,Kyoujuro and Ichika. She has her father's blond hair and gold and red eyes, but has her mother's personality. She enjoys spending time with her uncle Senjuro and learning how to cook with her mom. She's not interested in becoming a Demon slayer, instead she'd rather be a Kakushi.
Ayame is the baby of the group and the splitting image of her mother. This is what Ichika wanted. A little girl who looked exactly like her, so she tends to spoil Ayame a little more even though Ayame is very much a daddy's girl. Ayame enjoys spending time at the butterfly mansion and is very good friends with the butterfly girls. She wants to be like Shinobu and study all kinds of poisons and medicines.

thinking about how if hyouka was given the chance when she was first looking for a teacher, she definitely would’ve asked kyojuro or his dad to train her. she’d likely heard a bunch of cool stories and good things about kyojuro from the other kakushi, so it only makes sense that she’d want him to teach her. but there’s the fact he’s a pillar, so she probably ruled him out as an option bc he’d be busy with his duties. hyouka might have considered the fact that she was starting out as a complete novice to be a strike against her as well. in her mind, she’d end up being a nuisance, and that would have deeply bothered her.
it wouldn’t surprise me if she wrote to papa rengoku instead, asking if he’d take her on as a disciple. and of course, she either got shot down or received no response from the elder flame breather. that would’ve been disappointing but kind of?? expected, so hyouka would’ve let it roll off her back and would keep looking for another option.
the teacher she finds isn’t on the rengoku family’s level as far as skill goes, but he’s a good teacher nonetheless! he’s patient with hyouka, even when she’s being difficult, and he makes an effort to adapt to her learning style. he’s someone hyouka will forever be thankful for. she definitely keeps in contact with him and is always keeping him updated on her progress as a slayer :’ )
an idea i might?? expand upon is her teacher suggesting that hyouka develop her own breathing technique or switch to another technique that allows her to use her strength to her advantage. her teacher isn’t entirely convinced flame breathing suits her as well as another technique could, though hyouka is probably too determined to make it work to consider other paths -- at least to begin with. we’ll see if anything comes of this thought!
